Seaside Inn - Sanibel

Hotellet ser godt ud i annoncen. Virker meget nedslidt udefra. Indvendig under middel men alligevel OK p.gr.a. udsigten fra hotellet.

Øen Sanibel er "Paradis på jord" - hotellet som ligger direkte på stranden er rart og stille - god service. Det er muligt at låne cykler - kan anbefales. Der er cykelstier overalt på øen.

Rigtigt hyggeligt placeret lige Paa Stranden.Det eneste der mangler er en Lille cafe,

Sanibel Island generelt og Seaside Inn specielt er lige stedet for rendyrket afslapning og tosomhed. Enkelt og smukt (træ)byggeri med bungalows og 2 etages bygninger lige ud til stranden. Vi har været her før - og kommer gerne igen. Her finder man en ro og en atmosfære, som er svær at beskrive, og svær at finde andre steder.

Our first impression of Seaside inn coming directly from some deluxe hotels in Orlando and Miami was, what a small and worn down local inn. But boy we were wrong. This is a very charming and quiet inn, perfectly situated at the most wonderful beach on Sanibel. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is so nice and helpful. The pool is small but very […] nice and there are chairs and umbrellas on the beach free of charge. We didn’t have any problems getting a chair by the pool as others have mentioned, in fact we only saw few other guests at the pool during our entire stay, and the hotel seemed fully occupied. The room was great with ok beds and overlooking the pool and the beach. We spend most time on the beautiful beach and had lot of fun shelling. Only problem we experienced during our stay was the mosqitos. We all had several nasty bites, and walking on the beach in the sunset was nearly impossible (unless you don’t mind be eaten alive). But this can hardly be blamed on the Seaside Inn, and we will definitely stay here again if coming back to Sanibel one day – it is the most beautiful and peaceful place. Læs mere

dette er et rigtigt fint hotel til prisen, der er køleskab på værelset og det bedst fungerende klimaanlæg vi har prøvet. morgenmadskurven skal supleres med indkøb fra supermarked. et fint poolområde hvor der på det laveste sted er 1,2m

requested see view. denied hotel was not clean, bed full of hair dishes in the cabinet were dirty a couple towels were dirty pictures on internet and actual hotel... 2 different things

We had a wonderful time at the Seaside Inn. The staff were all friendly and had great suggestions for activities as well as restaurants. LOVED the beach chairs and umbrellas which were provided by the Inn as well. We would definitely stay here again.

A very good choice, located in a quieter part of Sanibel and right on the beach. I would definitely stay there again

The room was very clean and comfortable and the service was good. The carpet was old and stained and should have been replaced. For the price we paid we should have cleaner carpet. Very Nice hotel ón sani el with a great location. This is our third visit ón sanibel, and the second time at seaside inn. Pool is ok but very deep. Carpet was discusting and need a change. But overall a good deal at pricy sanibel.

This was our second stay at this hotel. Both times the service was excellent and the rooms were clean. Great access to the beach for sunsets and shelling. Very relaxing, quiet get away. Will return again.

My family enjoyed everything about this resort. Warm pool, comfortable beds, clean surroundings and the breakfast basket was just fine! I booked it again for the next holiday and we live in Florida.

Perfect stay right on the beach. Enjoyed the free sunbeds on the beach and watching the birds. The free bikes provided were much appreciated and the staff were very friendly. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

We stayed here just one night on a quick trip to Sanibel. The location is good. The beach is just steps from your room and there is a nice pool as well. The free bikes are nice as biking is one of the best activities in Sanibel. Also, the breakfast basket, while not amazing, was very useful and welcome.

The staff was lovely, helpful with recommendations for local activities and restaurants (and coupons!). We had a nice breakfast basket every morning, filled with goodies. My family chose this hotel becuase of the reviews which weren't representative of our experiences. The Desk Clerk has zero personality. He wouldn't give us a AAA discount although there was a huge sign on the door. He said it was Hotels.com's fault. The "Seadside Room" we paid for turned out to be "Pool Side" and we we questioned it, he pointed to […] his nametage and said "All of the rooms are "Seaside Rooms" (Because it was the name of the place). We had no working bath or shower and had to use one in another building until was was repaired the next day. The breakfast is an assortment of items brought to your room which we had to remind them to do each day. The hard boiled eggs made me deathly sick. Our keys "demagnatized" within hours and we saw that other guests had the same problem. The desk clerk accused us of doing something to it, but it never left my hand until we tried to use it. The toaster didn't work. The "Inn" used to be a motel, and is thirty years old. Although some areas looked new, part like the bathroom ceiling looked like it had leaked and bubbled and never been repaired. Save your money,..there is a great Holiday Inn on the same beach and it looked great! Læs mere

Nice place to stay, friendly staff, reasonable rates, no charges for parking & internet. I would like to return in the near future.

I was pretty happy with the room , but did'nt feel it was worth the money , the location is more for couples not young people. After 2 days it was boring . I have a pool in my back yard and swimming was about all there was to do there. Also , make sure you stay in doors at night because you will get bit up and the bites stay on your body for weeks.... […] nothing for kids to do . Læs mere

We loved our room, the staff was great, and the beach was beautiful. The only disappointment was the breakfast. It was a basket of coffee, tea, prepackaged bagels and toppings, along with a small container of canned fruit, delivered the night before. The coffee maker worked and the coffee was excellent, but there was no cream or half-and-half. Half […] the time we got juice in our basket; the other times not. The toaster didn't work, either. Power drilling outside my room at 8 AM in the morning ...shook my walls, my bed, and my teeth. Staff was not responsive. I was shocked and could not believe how uncaring staff was.

There were a number of things that surprised us for the price we paid: (1) breakfast is cold muffins left in the refrig with cofffe you need to make. That was aweful. You should not advertise you serve continental breakfast. (2) you could hear everything between the rooms. That made it hard to sleep. (3) Front desk was not that well educated and sent […] us to have dinner to the Sea Star Cafe for Valentines Day, and that was a joke. Then I found out it was a sister restaurant and understood why. I asked for anice place to have a quiet romantic dinner, and got that restaurant, where I would never talk anyone for that kind of dinner, plus the food was not good at all. Læs mere

We love this place! Last weekend we went to Sanibel Island and luckily stayed at Seaside Inn. Right on the beach it's the smaller but nicer boutique hotel. This hotel does it right by not nickel and diming for the most sought after amenities. Bikes, beach towels, umbrellas and chaise lounges are all included. The pool is heated -What a treat!! This hotel was a great choice. I chose it because it had the most consistent ratings on hotels.com. My mom and I stayed in a clean, well-appointed room with a generously sized bathroom and even a small kitchenette. I found the decor updated and tasteful, and while the balcony is shared, it is usually quiet and quite nice. I really liked that in a "pool […] view" room, we still had a small view of the ocean as well as a view of the setting sun. Other big plusses include free wireless internet in the room, the heated pool, the direct beach access, and the free bike rental. Other Sanibel Collection hotels charge $8 hour, while my mom and I were able to go on for a three hour bike ride free of cost. The bikes are not new, but they are easy to ride and extremely comfortable for island touring. Also, please note that the staff was extremely friendly and personable. That added a lot to our stay experience. One minus was the breakfast. For some reason, I was under the impression the food would be freshly prepared - but this was not the case. The pastries are of the pre packaged variety, as is the OJ and the fruit. While it was nice to have, I came to view the food as an alternative snack and not as my daily breakfast. I would have honestly preferred fresh versions of that food, displayed as a small buffet in the registration cottage. Also, the room lacked any sort of private closet - ours was shared with the next room over, so of course could not be used - and also had absolutely no hooks or stands for coats, purses, etc. That was a small annoyance, given that it rained and we wore windbreakers most of our stay. We took advantage of our stay to peek in at two other Sanibel Collection hotels - the Sundial and the Sanibel Inn. The Sundial was disappointing - the room looked nothing like the website pictured. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Seaside Inn. It was as comfortable and inviting as the Doubletree in Atlanta. It was a wonderful touch to add the basket of breakfast items each morning. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed, pillows , and down comforter were high quality and the towels were plush. I hope to stay there again!

It is a very tidy and homey hotel. Neat and clean and very convenient to the beach. Friendly service and a basket of breakfast items to keep you satisfied till lunchtime. Coffee was good. If you like small places instead of the huge hotels, this is the place. The pool was heated and we used it during the cold spell.

This was our first time at the Seaside our 3rd time visiting the island. We will definatly go back again. Spent 5 days on the beach in 85 degree weather. The staff was more than accomodating. The women who took care of our room had worked there for several years and was as nice as nice could be. The baskets of food every day were just the right items. […] We purchased some groceries and had breakfast and lunch in house and visited some very nice resturaunts for dinner. We did some biking, walking on the beach ect and did not leave the island. The rooms were very nice, well maintained. No big luxuries in the rooms or on the grounds, just the incredible beach, pool and lounge chairs (what else do you need to relax). Great Location as advertised. Rooms were clean and interior as expected. Bad was the maintenance of the hotel. We had the impression they are waiting for the next hurricane to get all fixed by the insurance. Fire extinguishers had mainenance expired, stairrails were missing, ladder in pool was loose, etc etc.

I cannot say enough good things about this motel. It was small, quaint and quiet. It was very clean and well kept. Our beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels were provided so we didn't have to take ours from home. The breakfast basket provided each day was more than enough for our breakfast so there was no need to eat breakfast out. We just came back from a four night stay at the Seaside Inn to celebrate our Anniversary and we are already planning to go back next year! We had a great experience and really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The beach is only a few steps from any room and chairs and umbrellas are always available for you on the beach.
