Vi var meget tifredse med hotellet, en af de pæneste jeg har boet på i London. Flot, stort og rent og meget rimeligt i pris, og ufatteligt centralt lige over for stationen Gloucester Road i hyggeligt kvarter i Kensington. Vi fik først værelse med dobbeltseng, men da vi var to veninder, spurgte vi om de havde et twin som bestilt - og fik så det fedeste værelse, dobbelt så stort, ingen støj, kæmpe badeværelse - virkelig god service og hyggelig hotelbar og lobby. Ville klart anbefale det og bo der igen.

Det ligger tæt på the tube, både Lancaster gate men også Paddington. Ikke noget prangende hotel, men hvem kan også forvente det til denne pris.

Værelset var rent - og meget bekvemt med det lille køkken. Dog savnede jeg mulighed for filterkaffe, der var en lille stempelkande, som efterlod kaffen med meget grums, næste gang tager jeg egen filter og trakt med. Jeg var heldig med stort vindue ud mod vejen. Jeg nød meget at være på værelset. Der er ingen lounge eller fællesareal, men venlig betjening fra den lille reception under trappen. Beliggenheden er perfekt, på stille og smuk vej, og Notting Hill Gate og alle nødvendige butikker lige om hjørnet. Jeg kommer igen.

Syd for byen ligger det historiske Southwark, som er spækket med turistattraktioner. Tower Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe og Tate Modern er alle berømte seværdigheder i dette område. Borough Market er et himmerige for gourmeter, og pubben George Inn fra det 17. århundrede er som taget ud af en bog. Turisterne strømmer til London Eye, som er et gigantisk pariserhjul, der giver turisterne en helt fantastisk udsigt over London.

Super placering, fik opgraderet værelse (relativt billigt) til stort værelse med udsigt til Big Ben og Themsen. Så bliver det ikke meget mere London. Venligt personale, der bl.a. hjælp os med at få billetter til Arsenal hjemmkamp.

Stayed with my husband and two teenage children for spring break. Arrived to the hotel and were delighted to find out that our room was available and we were allowed access to it. The staff were very polite and friendly and the standard of our room was excellent with views over the Thames and of Big Ben. "One major problem let them down"
The hotel is well situated and the staff were unfailingly polite, the room was very well appointed. However, we had no hot water for the entire duration of our stay, and were repeatedly fobbed off when we reported it with suggestions to "run the taps for about 5 minutes" which did not work. We found out on checking out that they had a major engineering […] problem - why could they not say that to start with? We were not offered a change of room or any compensation apart from the cancellation of the minibar bill - which as we only used one bottle of water was hardly adequate. Furthermore since we returned we have tried in vain to find an address to complain to at Marriott. If they cannot solve this infrastructure problem I would suggest it's not worth the risk to stay there. Læs mere
"I have mixed feelings about this hotel"
This hotel is right next to Big Ben and the London Eye, but after taking some photos of this area I was ready to move on. Our room had an ok view of the Thames, but there were no shops or restaurants around except a McDonald's in the back of the hotel, so this is not a shopping or dining area. We had to take a taxi whenever we wanted to get a bite to […] eat or buy some souvenirs. It cost about ten pounds to get to Piccadilly circus or Harrods by taxi. Although the room was clean and spacious, the shower head and the faucets in the bathroom were the worst I have ever seen in my life. My kids were also disappointed in the swimming pool because the water was freezing cold. Next time I visit London, I would stay in an area with more restaurants and some stores. One good thing about Marriotts in general is they accept four people in the room which saved us from getting two rooms. Læs mere

Hard to fault it - I know others seem to have had problems, but it did everything perfectly for us. Fantastic location, with much in walking range. Our River View room turned out to have a view of Big Ben (yes, you can hear it every hour, but hardly the hotels problem, and worth it for the view); room was spacious enough for us and two children, pool […] and spa excellent. The hotel staff are polite and very help full, the hotel itself is clean and well presented. We had breakfast which for a small fee is delivered to your room. The view from the room...well there wasn't one but that didn't bother us as we are local to London, the important part was a the location and a good night sleep. "Marriott London County Hall - next to London Eye"
Marriott London County Hall is located right behind the London Eye. Overall, we're exceedingly pleased with this hotel. We stayed in Kensington, Hyde Park and Mayfair areas before and wasn't sure about staying in a hotel that's in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of tourist attraction. To our surprise, even our room was facing the London Eye […] on the 2nd floor, there were virtually no noise. Marriott had excellent soundproofing for the rooms. I guess the extra glass window on the inside of the original window serves both as soundproof and weather-proof purpose. The location is super convenient if you are in London for the first time and want to see the top attractions. It's located on the south bank just across from Westminster. You can see the London Eye right outside your room (if you have a River Thames view room). You will also see Big Ben and the Parliament Building on your left across the Westminster Bridge. Westminster Abbey is tucked right behind it. The closest Tube station is Westminster across the bridge. It's a 3-min walk (or 5-min with all the other tourists and street hawkers). The room cleanliness will draw no complaint from just about anyone. Yes, the premise is still an old (historic) building. It's a government office until 1980's. It has character. We're meeting friends in London and they had no trouble finding our hotel. They're also pleasantly surprised by the pristine upkeep of the hotel from lobby to restaurant to the room. The front-desk folks were hired around the world for the summer. Very nice young people, some heavy accent, eager to help. However, they were a bit slower pace to check you in compare to my previous experience in other equivalent London area hotels. The restaurant in the hotel serves up really good food as well. We upgraded our room to include breakfast for convenience. The quality of the breakfast was excellent. While the name of the hotel is not too exciting...the hotel is amazing! From the grand drive up to the hotel to the old world charm, this hotel is a great destination in a fantastic location! The staff was wonderful and our view of the Thames and Big Ben were priceless.

"Mixed performance"
Execellent things about our stay: welcome, check in, balcony (definitely worth paying the upgrade for this - spacious room and fab views, wave to the tourists on the river). Not so good - surly staff member who waited till we were in swimsuits to tell us it was too late to use the pool (it says 11pm closing on the wall but she interpreted this as last […] entry at 10.15. Why? If we were out by 11 what difference did it make? There's no lifeguard anyway). Also breakfast was booked but the restaurant was full. We didn't mind sitting in the lounge instead but we did mind having to wait 10-15 mins for service. Very poor relation treatment even though we paid the same as the people in the restaurant. Having said that, this is a fantastic venue with a real sense of grandeur. "Spectacular--Marriott London County Hall"
Everything about the room and the surrounding area was spectacular. When next in London I would not choose any other hotel. The service was good to excellent; the workout facility is extraordinary; the view across the Thames is precious.
my room was supposed to be "Deluxe room Breakfast for 2" which is not. I don't have breakfast at all. The deluxe room was supposed to be facing the river yet my room was opened to the court yard and meant to be "Disable friendly". Other than that the hotel was in good location and close to all the London attractions.
we had a great weekend at this hotel all the staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. The leisure facilities were amazing well worth a visit.

Superb location opposite the Houses of Parliament, with some rooms overlooking the river. We took a King Sized room with views of Big Ben. The room was big enough to accommodate our two girls and ourselves comfortably. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the use of the executive lounge and pool was great. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay - the location and the view are great. The entrance is extremely impressive. Hotel walking distance from Victoria coach/ train station, though very busy to walk while pulling a suitcase. Hotel close to many of London's attractions. spacious comfortable room for 2 adults 2 teenagers, a quad room but only towels for 3. not very generous with supplying tea/coffee etc for 4 guests. The location of this hotel can't be beat. It was close to many major attractions and two subway stations. The view was fabulous as well and the concierge was very knowledgeable. Hotel is on the Themes river next to the London Eye and across from Parliament and Big Ben. My room looked at Big Ben and Parliament. The hotel is also next to the Waterloo station which I needed to take the train to meet the Queen Mary 2 for my trip back to the US. The room was clean and VERY comfortable. ビッグベンビューをリクエストして高い部屋に泊まった。初めてロンドンに行く私にとっては価値ある金額で相当の満足を得た。 ウェストミンスター寺院には歩いて数分。バッキンガム宮殿までは30分。豪華な外装、内装で高級ホテルの雰囲気を持ちながら、サービスがチープな感じが否めない。食事は付けないほうがいい。テムズ川沿いに数分で行けて散歩がきもちいい。川の反対側にわたると船上レストランがあった。利用してないが、いい雰囲気だった。 バスタブの掃除をもっと綺麗にするようリクエストしておいたほうがわれわれ日本人にはいいとおもう。

Topp opphold, som tidligere. Flott service, uten å være innpåslitne. Gode rom, som en faktisk kan oppholde seg i. Flott frokostbuffet, selv om jeg savner litt den gamle salongen der de nå lager til ny restaurant. Både rom og frokostsal med utsikt til Themsen/Big Ben. I selve bygget kan en også vandre i flotte "rådhusganger" med både filmmuseum, restauranter, […] aquarium og London Eye rett utenfor. Om vinteren ligger også julemarkedet rett utenfor. Das Beste an diesem Hotel ist seine sensationelle Lage an der Westminster Bridge, gegenüber dem Big Ben, und neben dem London Eye. Hohe Nebenkosten entstehen bei Internet Nutzung. "Very nice hotel near Westminster"
I and my family stayed there for 5 nights. The best in this hotel is localization with fantastic views from de window in a big room. The only point I have to complain is that there was a noise from de fire sistem, very disturbing, that the maintenance doesn't fix although I have asked twice. ７月後半に家族で2泊しました。立地は、ビッグベンなどには近いですが、繁華街には遠く、初めて英国に来て交通機関を使いこなせない身には、不便に感じました。ただ、早起きして、人もまばらなテムズ川沿いの遊歩道から見た景色は、とても美しかったです。 チェックイン時は、英語が聞き取れず苦戦しました。部屋は天井が高く、広く、古い洋館のようで、子供達は大喜びをしていました。ルームサービスは普通においしかったです。バス・トイレは広いですが、古い作りです。 ５階のプールに行きました。素敵な作りなのですが、水が汚いのが残念でした（十分楽しみましたが）。ミニバーの清算を再々間違えてくれました。 自分には、値段程の価値はないように感じられました。部屋からビッグベンを見たいなら1−2泊してもよいかも。

"Perfekt läge"
Hotellet ligger i samma byggnad som man köper biljetter till London Eye. Ett gammalt kommunhus som är jättestort. Rundtursbussarna stannar precis utanför hotellet. Sedan är det bara 200 meter till BigBen. Där utgår även flodbåtarna som är ett måste att åka. Hotellet hjälper till att boka bord på restaurang = bekvämt. Poolen är varm och gymmet är stort […] och modernt. Ett minus kan vara den dyra frukosten. Læs mere
