Almindeligt helt ok motel - midt i et kæmpe outlet. Husk at printe og medbringe cupons fra premium outleti gilroys hjemmeside - det giver store rabatter.

This hotel is in need of a renovation. Its just run down. We had to switch rooms because of AC not working twice. I can not recommend this hotel for even a pass thru stay over.

Pros: Gilroy outlets. Lots of eating choices. Easy on/off highway 101. Room clean & window actually opened for fresh air. King room was good sized. Large fridge. There 4 nights and given a corner room with less neighbors which was appreciated. Maid service very good. Cute vanity looked new. AC/Heat worked great and you had the option of just a fan. […] Cons: Hotel staff lackadaisical. Hairdryer in room had a black substance of some sort all over, possibly from a repair. Should have been cleaned properly before repair was signed off on. Gross. Remote control-only half of buttons worked. Power button did not work. Bathroom way too small to shut the door. Since I was alone, I just left it open the whole time. Very hard bed woke me up and left me feeling sore on side I was sleeping on next day. Very flat pillows. Old bedspread. Weird close rack and hangers over chair by window (no closet). What time is complimentary breakfast? Doesn't say anywhere & I looked. Nothing was out by 7:00am and it was all put away by 8:30am. Wasn't more than cereal and toast and cheap pastries anyway. That seems standard now for these breakfasts. Chair in corner of room and ottoman both were obviously stained and should have been replaced/removed. Vending machines did not work at all. Neutral:either guests or an employee go into the hallway/stairwell to smoke so I smelled it often when I went to my room. May not be hotel's fault if it is guests sneaking a smoke. Læs mere

The main issue was the bed felt like it was made of brick. I like a firm mattress but this one hurt to lay on. Knobs were ripped off the heater

Needs refurbishing. No tissues in room.

This motel should be reported to the proper authorities as we experienced bed bugs.................... The front desk did not seem to be too concerned about this incident.................Both my daughter and her toddler son have been infected................................Unfortunately I will not stay in a motel 8 again. Upon my arrival there was a leak in the ceiling that had collaspsed. I was concerned about the water being turned off, but was assured everything was fine. The next morning I was advised the water would be turned off for 2 hours, which ended up being more like 4 or 5 hours. Due to the leak, there was a lot of maintenance going on throughout the day. […] Kind of irritating but understandable considering the leak. My sink was clogged the entire time & the hot water was off completely the next morning. I was going to complain for the inconvenience but I wasn't up for the excuses. For your shoppers, or those who want to avoid higher hotel prices nearer San Francisco, this hotel is a great stay. The beds are comfortable, although the rooms are small. The continental breakfast is fine for our family-hot and cold cereal, pastries, toast, juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Can't beat the location if you like to shop the outlets. […] The Gap, Coldwater Creek and Chicos are literally right next door, and Coach and a hundred other stores are a short walk. Lots of restaurants too, including Denny's next door. Right off the 101-you can head to Frisco or Monterey and come back to sleep there. There were bugs on the bed.

MY partner and I recently stayed at the Gilroy Super 8. The front desk staff and room accommodations were more then exceptional. For the price I paid per night, couldn't be better. Our room had a microwave, Mini Fridge, Coffee maker, King Bed, and a working Heat/AC unit.

The hotel is in a great location, next to Denny's and outlet malls. The hotel and room is clean. Beds comfortable and clean. Have stayed here many times and will continue to stay here when in Gilroy

The super 8 in Gilroy, CA is a pretty gross hotel. Night staff ignored us for a while while he spoke on the Phone to some friend. Our room was assigned, but marked as dirty in thier system. Clerk "checked it out" and said it was fine. Trash on floor and toilet brush in toilet. I have stayed in much nIcer motels. For the price, this place was a gross […] rip-off. Entire hotel infested with bedbugs. Management knowingly rented rooms out for a PGA TOUR event with bedbugs. My staff and all had to have clothes and luggage cleaned and many people were riddled with bites. Horrible hotel. Filthy rooms. Do not stay here.

The hotel was perfect for what I needed. It was clean, nice staff and close to everything, and right off freeway

The room 's electrical outlets were not working so our whole stay we had only partial lighting. No hair dryer. The Continental Brkft was nothing to speak off. Very limited on the choices. But it was a short stay and we lived with it.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel, and were very happy with it's location, and the helpfulness of the front desk staff. There was a problem with the coffee maker in the room...it leaked, and there were not enough plug ins for the light fixtures in the rooms. One chord was just tucked behind the entertainment unit, and there was no way we could plug it […] in. The wireless worked really well, but one light had to be unplugged to charge my laptop. It was close enough to the fabulous Gilroy Gardens, where we spent a day taking in the sights, and marveling at the Circus Trees. That's one place everyone should see! Happy Travels. Læs mere

Driving up from San Diego area to San Francisco in the middle of the night we stopped and stayed at this hotel. We checked in at 12:30AM and was out of the hotel by 7:30AM. Older, but clean and comfortable. Next door to a Denny's and the freeway access. I wouldn't stay here as a destination for the Garlic Festival, but it was quite, convenient, clean, […] and comfortable. A great hotel for the money. Læs mere

Super 8, some are good some are just a night to sleep. you probably wouldn't want to stay more than one night here even though it's convenient and very close to the Outlet shops.

We have season passes to Gilroy Garden theme park. The hotel is only a short drive to the park. Eddie, the man working when we checked in really went out of his way to be friendly and gave us a warm welcome. He made sure we had enough towels are really was awesome. The faucet was broken for the shower but I did get it to work. No big deal. Wish the […] bathroom had a real counter top but other than that, the room was very comfortable. The AC worked great and kept the temp perfect. Not to hot, not too cold. Denny's is right outside and offers a 15% discount if you show your room key. First the good: Motel 8 in Gilroy, CA is right off the highway and walking distance from Denny's. Not a pretty location, but all in all, it's a very clean property at at very good price. Now the bad: Though the rooms were clean, one of our group was bitten bloody by a bedbug and was unable to get back to sleep that night. The manager sympathized, but […] did not offer a refund of any kind. Breakfast was very meager, but that's to be expected at a one-star place. And the truly bizarre: The front desk manager was waaaaay too friendly and VERY "high-maintenance!" From the moment we arrived, he shared a number of complaints with us about his family, and actually guilted one of our party into going out to buy him a sandwich, claiming that he hadn't eaten in 17 hours and that he didn't want to ask his wife to do it for him! Very strange.... Oh, and Gilroy is touted as the "Garlic Capital of the World," and they're not kidding! You can smell garlic in the air for miles around, so be prepared. Læs mere

Manager did not know what he was doing. Made us wait for 20 mins just for him to check us in since computer "was having problem". Insulted another member of our guest party & gave us the run around when we had already paid for room on hotels.com. total wait time was almost an hour to check in for a room we had already paid for. We would have left after […] 5 mins if we had not paid in advance. We were shocked at how bad the service was. Hotel was clean and rooms were nice. The water piping must be 1/4 inch. Every time someone changed the water setting somewhere in the motel, my shower got ice cold or blazingly hot. Oh, and the toilet decided that it all of a sudden didn't want to drain after being flushed. Oh well, you get what you pay for...

The guy at the counter was not efficient. He had a long line of customers and he kept leaving the counter to go get danish rolls, and telling everyone to have a seat and eat some rolls and coffee. No one accepted his invitation to eat or drink,because everyone wanted to get checked in. Then he took approximately 30 minutes to check each customer in. […] We thought we'd never get to go to our room. The price and the room were reasonable. The place is dated but meet all my needs. The room is dated but was clean and comfortable. Denny's next door. My daughter and I walked to some of the outlet stores closeby, dropped off our stuff in the room and shopped some more.

A decent, clean motel next to the freeway. A little pricey given the location, but otherwise unremarkable. South-facing rooms look out on a brightly-lit Denny's parking lot. Avoid them if you like to sleep with your curtains open.

Great Price , Great room walking distance to Outlets

The Super 8 Hotel in Gilroy, California meets my standards of a Super 8 - quiet interior and comfortable accomodations (there are other Super 8's that don't achieve that). Though the room was not especially large, the king bed was well-appointed. The Wi-fi access was reliable and had a strong signal. Just a few nitpicks - the television did not have […] a wide range of channels from which to choose, the clock radio did not work, and an access panel/trim piece under the tub was not well-painted. Curtain need to be clean, wall was not clean. Need new carpet. Overall the visit was very disatified and I will never stay in this hotel again.

Beds were like sleeping on wood. Carpet in room had big stains in it.

I booked this hotel through hotels.com under my husbands name with a second name on the booking, but when we arrived they gave us problems with check-in since my husband was not present. They made us call hotels.com to change the name on the reservation, just so we could check in. Anyways, just make sure you have the person with you that is listed as […] the primary guest or they wont let you check in. Besides this problem, both check in and check out clerks were nice and inviting. As far as the stay, it was ok. I wasn't expecting a lot since it was a Super 8. The hotel was clean, but the rooms were very small. The bathroom sink is outside the bathroom door. In the room we were in, it felt like you were going to fall through the to the next room because the tub made a lot of noise when you stepped or moved on it. The front desk person assured us we wouldn't fall through and that is was due to the padding put underneath the tub. You only get 10 or so channels, and not every channel has a good picture, but it wasn't so much of a problem since we were there for a short time. The free breakfast consists of cereal and toast. We walked over to Denny's instead which is in the same parking lot. Overall, it was an ok place to stay, but the price was a little expensive. Læs mere

What I expected when I paid a low rate. Good stay and close to outlet Mall.

We love to stay at this Super 8 when we are in the Bay Area. It is off the 101 and the 152 right at the Gilroy outlets. They have been upgrading the hotel ever since we started coming there about 7 years ago. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. They have a breakfast with cereal, toast, pastries, coffee, juice, and sometimes fresh fruit. It is […] included in the reasonable room rates. Want more? There is a Denney's next door. Applebee's, McDonalds, In-and-Out Burger, and more are all in walking distance too. The whole Gilroy outlet mall is within walking distance, so you don't have to fight for a parking space on the weekends. The stores include Chico's, Coldwater Creek, Guess, The Gap, Foxy, Coach, Bass, Bose and so many more. The staff is friendly, the pool clean, and everything works. Hotel room had no working air conditioning. It was 88. Clerk was very helpful in getting us into an upgrade, but the rooms were rundown and bad need of renovation. Very inexpensive, but spend more and get a decent place to stay.

Nice location decent for the Money . next to all the Gilroy outlets
