Vi var meget tifredse med hotellet, en af de pæneste jeg har boet på i London. Flot, stort og rent og meget rimeligt i pris, og ufatteligt centralt lige over for stationen Gloucester Road i hyggeligt kvarter i Kensington. Vi fik først værelse med dobbeltseng, men da vi var to veninder, spurgte vi om de havde et twin som bestilt - og fik så det fedeste værelse, dobbelt så stort, ingen støj, kæmpe badeværelse - virkelig god service og hyggelig hotelbar og lobby. Ville klart anbefale det og bo der igen.

Det ligger tæt på the tube, både Lancaster gate men også Paddington. Ikke noget prangende hotel, men hvem kan også forvente det til denne pris.

Værelset var rent - og meget bekvemt med det lille køkken. Dog savnede jeg mulighed for filterkaffe, der var en lille stempelkande, som efterlod kaffen med meget grums, næste gang tager jeg egen filter og trakt med. Jeg var heldig med stort vindue ud mod vejen. Jeg nød meget at være på værelset. Der er ingen lounge eller fællesareal, men venlig betjening fra den lille reception under trappen. Beliggenheden er perfekt, på stille og smuk vej, og Notting Hill Gate og alle nødvendige butikker lige om hjørnet. Jeg kommer igen.

Syd for byen ligger det historiske Southwark, som er spækket med turistattraktioner. Tower Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe og Tate Modern er alle berømte seværdigheder i dette område. Borough Market er et himmerige for gourmeter, og pubben George Inn fra det 17. århundrede er som taget ud af en bog. Turisterne strømmer til London Eye, som er et gigantisk pariserhjul, der giver turisterne en helt fantastisk udsigt over London.

Rigtig sødt og hjælpsomt personale. Vi havde ikke fået vores ene musicalbillet med hjemme fra, men den fik de printet ud til os på ingen tid. De serverer den bedste english breakfast jeg har fået. godt hotel med gå-afstand til mange af Londons seværdigheder. Endnu bedre beliggende, når den nye metrostation i nærheden åbner i nær fremtid. Rimelige priser både på hotel og i restaurant/bar. Ikke overdådige værelser, men udstyret med det der kræves.

Jeg havde foræret mit barnebarn en tur til London, så det var vigtigt, at opholdet blev vellykket. Det var ret tilfældigt, at vi bookede The Mad Hatter Hotel, men vi fortrød det absolut ikke. Værelset er godt og rummeligt, og der fin rengøringsstandard. Der er alle faciliteter, som man kan forvente. ganske dejligt hotel til prisen. God beliggenhed tæt på Themsen og nogle dejlige restauranter ved vandet. Værelser og hotel er pæne og rene, og der er det som der skal være. Servicen kan der heller ikke sættes en finger på. alt i alt en god oplevelsen

You simply don't get value for money on "The Mad Hatter". We had payed for english breakfast, but the waitress told us that it could not be true. She wanted us to pay extra. However the girl in the reception had the correct informations. If you want to sleep at that hotel, don't pay for english breakfast in advance! The breakfast was the worst I have […] ever tried at a hotel. We had burned toast - black and uneatable. And bacon that was in a sick grey colour and more boiled than crisp. Two mornings we simply had to return the plates to the kitchen. We have never done that before. But the room was clean and the hotel is in the centre of London. That part of it was ok. "Good location, comfortable stay"
This hotel is in walking distance to the South Bank and Southwark sights, and a quick trip over Blackfriars bridge to St. Paul's Cathedral and Fleet Street. It's nice to be connected to the pub for a quick drink or bite to eat. Rooms had plenty of space. Beds were stiff but clean and the room was overall very comfortable--nothing fancy but very safe […] and just fine as a base for touring around. We certainly enjoyed our weekend stay at the Mad Hatter Hotel. The room was fresh and clean. Housekeeping was spot-on at keeping the room ready for us each day. Our room was on the back side of the hotel, so we didn't have a nice view but the trade off was we didn't have the street noise from the busy traffic in front. Ask for the rooms on the back […] of the hotel when you book. Check in was quick and accurate, the on site pub/restaurant was very convienant serving a nice breakfast and dinner. The breakfast can be part of your room bill and they charged the dinner meals right to our room bill. A quick walk to the underground and a bus stop right across the street. Great overnight stay at a lovely hotel. Fantastic service from all the staff in both the hotel and the adjoining pub/resturant. Fantastic location - close to the South Bank and just a short distance from Waterloo train station. Style of hotel completely in tune with the age of the building and the pub is a beautiful old fashioned kitted out in wood […] affair - fantastic. We liked it a lot. Only 2 minor things, the bed was not the most comfortable and sqeaked a bit but not enough of a problem to complain. And if you need a taxi its probably better to find a place to flag down a London cab as the one arranged by reception (for 2 seperate journeys) over charged on the second journey. "Mad Hatter Hotel - close to South bank Centre"
Conveniently situated about 6 mins walk from South Bank Centre. Breakfast was delicious - hot freshly cooked scones, plus all the usual English Breakfast choices. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff were very helpful at all times. We would definitely stay here again.

The Mad Hatter is 10 minutes from the Waterloo train station, 5 minutes from the Southwark tube station, and in a good location for walking to see the Globe, the Tate, the Eye, and many other attractions. The rooms are well appointed and kept and quiet, and the pub has good food and drink. Excellent value!

The hotel was about 10 mins from the closest train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area was good and we felt comfortable walking around at night to see the London eye lit up. I would definitely stay there again.

booked into the Mad Hatter for an overnight stay with a friend and found the hotel staff to be warm and friendly and very helpful. The bar has a nice atmosphere and the staff serving were very nice and nothing was too much trouble. Even at 1am when I wanted a bottle of water!

WAS GREETED IMMEDIATELY BY VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, TWIN ROOM HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. ALTHOUGH BEDS WERE A BIT WOBBLY IT DIDNT STOP US HAVING GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP-OUR ROOM WAS AT THE FRONT BUT WE DIDNT FIND IT TOO NOISY & SLEPT WELL. GREAT LOCATION, CLOSE TO TATE MODERN & MILLENIUM BRIDGE WHICH LEADS TO ST PAULS. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY, WOULD USE AGAIN.

The Mad Hatter is located within a reasonable walking distance to the city center, sights of the South Bank + the Waterloo train station, however for Tube connections it's not exactly optimal. Room was clean and free wireless worked perfectly. Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on that, but tried some traditional pub grub in the evening and that […] was just great. we picked the mad hatters because it was near to our concert gig at the royal festival hall. The hotel was clean and quiet (we were round the back though!). I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay although a long walk back after a tiring day!!! We had a twin room, and were more than happy with it. We walked from Waterloo station to the hotel, and into central london along the South Bank. The hotel was clean and comfortable, didnt use teh restaurant so couldn't comment on that, but the menu looked good for London prices (apart from a ridiculously expensive breakfast, which we avoided!) "We miss the Mad Hatter!"
Our stay at the Mad Hatter was great despite the fact that we had to change rooms late at night on the first night of our stay. With our travel plans disrupted by hurricane Irene in the US, we found ourselves unexpectedly in London a few days earlier than we had planned. When I saw a great deal on this room we decided to take a chance on it and we were […] not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, the location cannot be beat, especially for the price we paid. We loved the complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits. Our only problem was that the toilet leaked in the first room we had. This wasn't a huge deal at first, but when the toilet stopped flushing because of it we had to call to complain. The woman on staff that night said that she could not fix it, but would change us to another room. She offered to help take our things to the new room and offered us drinks at the bar to compensate for the inconvenience. The new room was actually a lot nicer than our original room, so we were quite pleased. The only other down side was that the beds were not super comfortable. That said, we found it to be a charming and relaxing place that we really enjoyed. Now we are staying in very cheap budget accommodations and I really wish we could go back to the Hatter. This hotel is situated on a busy junction of a capital city so expect some noise ! Any traveller worth his/her salt should avail themselves of a set of trusty ear plugs - you may need them here. Not because of rowdy revellers but of the traffic noise outside which seems to go through the night. That said, The Mad Hatter Hotel is a nice looking accommodation […] where you will find a friendly welcome and good food. The bedroom was quite large by London standards ,with fully opening windows - although you may want to avoid this due to the noise - clean sheets and tidy, well stocked drinks with kettle make this a welcome haven after a hard day on the tourist trail. Great place to stay. It was conveniently located to all the attractions and tours. Bus and trains were easy to get around the city and they were in walking distance of the hotel. Staff was every helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel.

Hotel was very accomodating regarding adding my wife and two daughters. However they made no attempt to provide useful information on parking and have no provision of somewhere to off-load a car temporarily. Perhaps they don't get many customers with cars?
