Crowne Plaze..... exactly what you expect when you stay here. A nice, updated hotel in the heart of the city. Restaurant and bar area was great, food was ok. Not where you want to stay if you are going to Disney, but for downtown or Arnold Palmer hospital it is perfect. I will stay here again for sure.

The room itself was comfortable but the only problem was that it was supposed to be a suite. When we walked into the room we saw that it was all one room. When I tried calling the front desk, the line was constantly busy. We just accepted because we needed the room and there were no vacancies either so we really had no choice.

If you like to pay 15 bucks a night to park your own car, Have a fuzzy tv, only 1 entrance, hotel under construction, noisy room from the highway (on the 9th floor), and a small bar/ restaurant, then this is perfect for you!! Over priced

I needed a last minuet room for a concert. I wanted to make a big night of it. Everything I expected and more. Private Parking, Shuttle Service to Amway, Close to the Interstate and Downtown Action. For the money it is amazing. Great views with lots of lights and sounds. Room service and bar service. I wish there had been a little fridge in my room […] but I survived off of room service instead! LOL. I found the people most accommodating even considering there was a huge number of events in the area that weekend. I could have found a million things to complain about but I was having too much fun to waste time nitpicking! I wasn't coming to live in the hotel only to borrow it while going to see one of the greatest musicians of all time! He is from Liverpool. Seriously this IS a really nice place. Two thumbs up! Renovated hotel. Nice rooms. Right by train tracks-surrounding area is questionable however, location is a 5 minute walk to downtown Orlando. Although we drove because its a bit of an undesirable area.

When I booked no mention was made about parking fees. Upon arrival the attendant said parking would be 18 bucks a day. Do they think people would actually walk there? They should include it in the room rate and not be so sneaky about it. When I questioned the desk clerk about it he said that everyone downtown charges. The one downside of the place is the traffic is really loud when you try to sleep at night. If you leave the air conditioner fan running, it drowns out the noise. Other than that, it was really nice and everyone was really friendly. We even got a late check out with no problem.

My husband and I went to the Crown Plaza for a date night so we could go out downtown together. We had a blast! The hotel was fabulous! The pool was loved and heated and the Jacuzzi was perfect. Our room was perfect and the hotel staff was incredible! We will definitely return!

During check-in the hotel rep seemed to want to make conversation. In so doing she asked for Driver's License in addition to the credit card that had prepaid for the reservation. From that license she stated aloud our entire home address. There were other guests checking in at the small desk and others in the lobby nearby. We were most upset that she […] had given out our home address (a local address). The next morning we went to the buffet which was included in our room rate. The waitress brought us a bill. When we said it was included she asked for the voucher we had gotten at check-in. The agent who gave out our address did not give us a voucher. The pictures on the website is very deceiving. the lobby was unattractive,the carpeting in my room was dirty, the sheets were stained , very noisy, too close to the interstate and there were ants all over the bathroom. Needdless to say I checked out two nights early. Never stay there again!

The hotel staff were absolutely phenomenal. I had my wedding there and they were all very friendly and helpful. One of our guests had a personal crisis during the wedding and the desk clerk (I believe her name was Valarie) handled it personally, calling the woman every 10 minutes to make sure she was all right and providing her assistance so the bride […] didn't have to worry about it. Out of the 3 hotels we stayed in through out our vacation, the Crowne was our favorite. The beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Loved them so much I took a picture of the label and called the hotel to find out what mattresses they have in the rooms so I can buy one of my own. The rooms are very modern and big. you like to hear trains blowing their horns through the night and all the traffic from the highway outside your window. also, I had a hard time with maintaining the temperature in the room. when it shut off in the middle of the night b/c it reached it's target temp, the room would get so hot to the point I woke up sweating. The combination of this and […] the outside noises, did not equate to a good restful night sleep. Checked in late on a Friday. Parking has a fee and we chose to self-park as there were plenty of spots available in the lot. The valet staff and the girl at the front desk were all extremely nice. Got to our room and it was very nice. Comfortable bed. In the standard room there is a microwave and wetbar/sink but no mini-fridge which we didn't realize. […] The only other thing was there was a wash cloth left in the shower. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza for a concert at the Amway Center. The hotel was extremely convinent for the concert and the valet service was excellent - setting us up with a black car. However, upon arrival there was no Shampoo available in our room. I called the front desk and they said that they would send some up. Thirty minutes later - I went downstairs […] to get my own. I never recieved my shampoo. Poor service. When we woke up the next morning we were greeted by a live cock roach in the bathroom. yuck! We stayed in a king deluxe, the room was nice & big. The hotel is close to the Amway Center & they offer a shuttle service which was great as we were there for a concert. The biggest complaint I had was the noise being so close to the highway. I hardly slept at all. Probably wouldn't stay there again because of it.

The hotel is on a faraway area. The restaurant closes at 11:00PM, and there is no bar or other room service after this time. They charge you USD 15,00 per day for your car. Ridiculus...

This hotel is consistently good and very convenient to events at the Amway Arena. They provide a shuttle service which is a necessity, considering the neighborhood. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in my stay at the Crown Plaza Orlando. The check in was slow. The quality of amenities was poor. The surrounding outside noise was terrible... if only I had known that there was going to be a 4:30am morning train that would not stop blowing its whistle I would have been prepared with ear plugs!!!! We were woken up by the housekeeping at 8am just barging into our room. She didn't even knock. Just walked right in and then had the nerve to let the door slam on her way out after seeing that we were sleeping. Then she had the nerve to do it again at 9am!!!! I felt like she was rushing us to get up and leave, hours before checkout.

Very nice hotel. I wasn't happy with the $15 charge for parking. Hotel staff indicated the website included the info. But I really didn't see it. The neighborhood is not good. But it is very convenient to downtown Orlando. The room was excellent and very clean. The bed was very comfortable.

The first room we were issued had the following problems: The room had two seperate doors leading to a balcony that had to remain locked; those doors did not close well and with the hotel being by the highway it was very noisey; a cabinet in the kitchen was hanging on by one hinge, nearly falling off; the closet light was flickering, not maintaining […] its light; the furniture was stained beyond belief; one of the televisions was crooked on the wall; the hallway was filthy. The second room, as I requested to be changed to another room, was better but still had supremely stained furniture and a shower door which was on its last leg. being that the tile that the door was secured to was cracked down the wall. For the price, and "Suite" title, it was not so. With that said, had the rate been cheaper - no complaints because my expectations would have been lowered. Great hotel. The staff are amazing but the location and neighborhood are to be desired. Tvs and coffee machines could use some updating and I would order in instead of get room service. But as I said before the staff are amazing and very accommodating.

Really glad we stayed here. I wanted to stay near downtown and somewhere nice. Definitely met my requirements. There was a free shuttle that would take you downtown every thirty minutes which was great for us as parking can be very problematic downtown. They also do pickups around downtown as long as it's not too far away. Ours were always 1.5 to 2 […] miles away from the hotel and there was never a problem. We ended up leaving at 3:00a.m. - couldn't stand the traffic on I4 since the hotel is right on top of it. Also, we went to an event and were told that we would be picked back up with a phone call...called 5 times, never got picked up. Very unsatisfied and will never stay again.

The vending machine didn't work. You have to pay for breakfast. The breakfast sucked. Eggs were under cooked, 3$ for a tiny carton of milk. Just could of been better. Balcony doors don't open. So to smoke a cigarette you have to go down stairs.

We were staying in downtown Orlando while in town to go to a concert at the Amway Center. It was the perfect location, within walking distance to and from the Amway Center and an easy walk to downtown for dinner. Room was nice. We did NOT think it was noisy as many of the other ratings had mentioned.

I would recommended reserving the shuttle in advance, when I got there I was told it was full, but got lucky because someone else didnt get on.
