We enjoyed the close proximity to the French Quarter and also to area restaurants. Very convenient location for the "tourist".

We were given a room that was a handicapped room and did not notice it until we unpacked. We were not pleased since it didn't have a counter around the sink or a bathtub, which was on our reservation. The restaurant didn't appear to be open whenever we were in the lobby looking for a place to eat. Also, when we were checking out, we called for a bellman […] to pick up our luggage. We have been staying at Hilton riverside for the past trips so we thought we would try this for a change. This is just 2 blocks down from Hilton , still within walking distance to Riverside Mall and Fulton street which has the best brewery. Though location is not at convenient as Hilton, the rooms are newer and the beddings much better! Good toiletries […] and I like it that bottled water are given free in the room. Love that extra touch of providing ice cold bottled water at the entrance so you can pick up one whenever you leave or return. Will definitely stay here next time and not Hilton. Læs mere

The rooms and hotel are nicely kept..The staff was friendly. Its about a five minute walk to the casino and its right across from Riverwalk. .The only negatives are a very small outdoor pool and no hot tub.

Only issue was difficulty in getting the wifi to work and, once working, had very slow connection speed. Otherwise a great hotel, great location and excellent comfort.

Hotel was clean.... Stayed on the top floor had NO cell phone service at all. Meaning I had to make long distance calls from the room phone. Desk assistant assured they would waive those fees. Obviously didnt I have charges on my card. My only complaint is that.

Such a wonderful place, but spending a further 80% of your room rate just to park & the water isn't even complimentary... It leaves a bad taste in one's mouth!

Came in day before our Royal Caribbean cruise. Perfect location. We walked to the French Quarter & the casino. The next morning walked across the street with our luggage to our cruise ship.

Our check in went great, but we booked a room with 2 beds and received a room with one King bed. They brought in two roll-aways to accomidate our needs. Upon check out they tried to charge us for parking that was included in our reservation. The staff at the desk on our check out day was rude and even upon showing them a printed copy of our reservations […] including parking they didn't want to remove the charges. A little bit of a walk to the French Quarter, but an easy to get to hotel if you're not familiar with the city. Directly across the street from the Riverwalk and convention center, this is a downtown hotel with style and panash. If traveling by car, the valet service is exceptional and courteous. The rooms have all the modern amenities one would expect […] including a comfortable bed. We had a view of the river, and had little noise coming from the street. From the check in to the check out, I was amazed at staff being so nice and friendly and helpful. This was our first time in New Orleans and it made it enjoyable. We had arrived earlier than the check in time and the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. When we called to have our room ready they had it ready in time for us. Staff seem a little bit stuffy and not very nice at the desk. Told them I wanted a mico wave and frig wasn't in room. Valet parking made me feel rushed and I don't like valet parking and having to pay $35.00 to park. Parking should be free. For the price of hotel so not worth the […] stay parking should be included for free. I will not recommend this hotel! When valet parking car was out in street was worried about getting hit. This hotel and its staff were excellent. Withing walking distance of the Riverwalk, Aquarium, French Quarter, and Harrah's. The hotel was ultra clean and the staff was excellent. It was right down the street from a restaraunt called Mulate's, which was absolutely amazing. I would reccomend this hotel to ANYONE.

The location is great. It's within walking distance to everything. The beds left alot to be desired. They were VERY uncomfortable. the carpet was worn and frayed near the bathroom. You can hear literally everything in the hallway from your room. You can hear people talking, doors closing. They close very loud BTW. The wallpaper was patched through out […] the hotel. If you want a place to just crash that is close to everything, then this is your place. If you want to get a good night's sleep or to sleep in the next day, forget it! Very clean hotel of high standard, over the road from the cruiseship terminal which is extremely convenient and easy walking distance to the city and French Quarter. Tramcar station is across the road and the Riverside shopping complex across the road. Staff friendly and helpful.

Very nice. It was across the street form the convention center where my meeting was, My room was always clean and had hair dryer, coffee pot and ironing board. I ate dinner in the hotel one night and it was wonderful.

Booked multiple rooms for business meeting. Front desk was understaffed but receptionists were nice. Although we had reservations and checked in around 6pm, two of the four rooms were not ready. Was told we would could wait on the king bedrooms to be cleaned or take the two double beds now. At checkout, I had to wait a while to get a copy of my room […] reciepts, I'm glad I did. When I received my cc bill, I found the hotel charged my card twice. Called the hotel and while they ackowledged the double charging, I was told I would need to call back in the morning and speak with accounting since it was 6pm when I called. Really expected that they could've forwarded the problem and CALL ME BACK for their mistake. Læs mere

Hotel was great, second time I stay there, no complaints. Friendly staff at front desk and valet. Great Sushi Restaurant called Rockin Sake nearby. Order the LSU roll and Lemon Zest Salmon Roll.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Marriot Convention Hotel. We arrived at 3:45 and was told our room was not ready and they treated us with a drink in the bar until our room was ready. The only negative about the room was the bathroom will ill conceived. You had to move around the door just to get in and use the bathroom. When we had noisy neighbors […] at 1:30 a.m. we reported it to the staff and they were right up to inform the people next door that a compliant had been made and please be quiet as it was 2:00 a.m. Everyone on staff was helpful and very nice. I would stay here again because you are close enough to the French Quarter to walk but far enough away to relax. Læs mere

Very nice and clean hotel. Comfy beds and great views and service. Only complaint is from old spilled drinks stains on the bathroom and main doors. Other than that the hotel was clean and quite enjoyable.Nice posh hotel for the price.Close to town and service was excellent. Would def stay here again.
