CocoLaPalm Seaside Resort - Negril

Jeg nød virkeligt mit ophold på Cocolapalm. Priserne i Resraurant og bar var lige i det højeste, men kvaliteten var til gengæld perfekt. Selve resortet kunne man sagtens bruge en uge på, til ren afslapning, hvor omgivelserne til gengæld var ret lige gyldige. De småting jeg manglede for at give 5 stjerne er flere aktiviteter. Der var en velkomst cocktailparty […] på 1 time, og hertil kunne man betale sig for ture... Jeg så gerne man forsøgte at engagere gæsterne om aftenen på hotellet, så færre folk søgte til andre barer hertil kunne der godt være plads til en børnepool, men da jeg ikke selv har børn var det ikke aktuelt for mig. This was our 1st trip to Jamaica. Coco LaPalm was best location on 7 mile beach. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Rooms very clean and grounds were beautifully landscaped. Best made Dirty Banana on the beach. Stayed here for 1st week & spent 2nd week at an A/I resort & spa in Bloody Bay which was no where near as fun. great place to stay to get the flavor of negril. No problem....

I recently stayed at Cocolapalm.Great place!The staff were awesome sooo helpful.If you decide to stay there book a suite,they are well worth the extra money and really not that exspensive.The beach and ocean are incredible.

Nice place to stay with a continental breakfast. If you want to eat breakfast elsewhere you should try County Country, not far from the hotel. The callaloo omelette is fantastic. Coco la Palm offered a great hotel room, close to downtown and entertainment of Negril. They serve a good breakfast and offer a continental breakfast coupon to all guest. The beachside grill offers a tasty food and drinks after 11am. This was our 3rd time staying at Coco la Palm this year and the only GLITCH was on checkout 1 key was misplaced and they […] wanted to charge us $25 for a replacement. And the computer room is ancient and slow and they charge a fee for its use. Overall all it was a safe and peaceful environment, close to a blue pristine beach. Our airline made a mistake and we had to stay one extra night, so instead of staying another night at the all-inclusive resort, we decided to stay at Coco La Palm. We were greeted by friendly staff, there was security at both entrances, so we always felt safe. The view and walk along the beach is amazing. Just breathtaking. We ate at one of the restaraunts […] along the beach, and wish that we would have timed it better and been back at the hotel before dark. The walk along the beach after dark was kind of spooky, with vendors coming out to harass and ask for money to "protect us". As far as the hotel went, it was nice, cheap and comfortable. I booked 3 superior rooms for myself, my husband and 3 adult children. The hotel is clean, comfortable and affordable. This is the second time we have chosen this hotel and we were not disappointed. It is no 'Sandals' but it is a good 3 star in my view. The bathrooms are clean and acceptable but could do with updating. Cocolapalm has an excellent position […] on 7 mile beach and it is the most amazing view from the breakfast restaurant everyday. We stayed for 14 nights bed and continental breakfast included. Complimentary continental breakfast credit can be offset against a full breakfast. You are given this if you book through any tour operator but not if you book direct apparently. Negatives would be the limited breakfast menu which became very 'samey' over the 14 days but fine for shorter stays. Service can be slow when we ordered as a party of 5 but quicker if we went separately. We enjoyed the 2-1 cocktail hours but only eat at the restaurant one night. Food was ok not outstanding. Positives are the high calibre of staff, nice gardens, unlimited air conditioning, daily room cleaning nice pools etc etc. Hotel also puts on entertainment at least a couple of nights a week which is ok but we only went to a couple. This was the first time that my wife and I went to Jamaica and we did not want to stay at an all inclusive resort so we can the freedom to eat and do as we pleased. Good choice! The hotel is on the best part of 7 mile beach and the beach at the hotel is one of the nicest parts. The security there is very good and make sure that you do not get harassed […] by the local vendors. There are many very loud clubs/bars on the west end of the beach and I could not imagine staying at a hotel close by the thumping music. OUr hotel was quite and the restaurant was very good. There is also a place called "Best in the West" jerk chicken across the street which has the best local style jerk chicken around! Many of the guests at the hotels were returning customers. this hotel is the perfect location if you are looking to be on the beach. it is the cleanest section of seven mile beach.

Very nice rooms, great service and beautiful beach

I took my son for his 21st birthday. Great beach, nice hotel. Well worth the price. Breakfast on the beach was a nice way to the start the day.

It took me a long time to choose a Hotel for my frist trip to Negril. I am happy I choose, CoCoLaPalm. Great staff, great location, great beach, not too big and not too small. I connected with the hotel staff well, had great conversation with the cleaning staff and waiters. Everything was great. I will plan my next trip soon

My only complaint was the AC unit blew right on the bed and their internet cafe needs serious work

Excellent location. Beach facilities for guests exceptional. Close to everything. Breakfast options were great and the option of upgrading your continental breakfast for something better for just a couple bucks more was so convenient. Overall great experience. 2nd time there and will go back.

CoCo LaPalm was a wonderful place to stay on 7-mile beach. The beach area is beautiful, clean, and beautiful. Security is 24/7 at the hotel and all the staff is friendly and helpful. We had been to Negril for 2 weeks at Christmas in a place (The Firefly) just down the beach. We loved Negril but we were extremely disappointed in the hotel we were at so we wanted to come back to a nicer place and we definitely did this time. Not only was Coco LaPalm much, much, much nicer, it was also considerably cheaper. We loved our time at Coco […] LaPalm. The room was not great with sparse and dated furnishings but it was very clean and the daily maid service was very good. The shower had lots of hot water. We called the resort Coco LaCalm as it was extremely quiet and relaxing. Everything seemed to be thought out carefully to provide for the enjoyment of guests from the two pools, and large (actually hot hottub), to the interesting architecture, to the many colourful murals, to the beautiful gardens,and to the attitude and helpfulness of staff. The bar and beach snack bar were set up nicely and the two for one happy hour from 5:00 to 7:00 made the main bar competitive with its more rustic neighbours during that time. The beach was absolutely beautiful. No loud music, no rec directors disturbing you, no distractions from simply chilling out in one of the nicest beaches anywhere. We loved Negril the first time we were there because you could walk anywhere along the beach to bars and restaurants and more. Now we have a place to stay that we love as well. Læs mere

Just back from Coco LaPalm. Right in the center of 7 mile beach (really about 4 miles) with a midwestern feel to it. The majority of the clientele last week were from Minnesota and were all wonderfully friendly and this made the hotel unlike many of the big all-inclusives. The breakfasts were awesome, the help always willing, and the beach is perfect […] for walks, day and night. Yes there are beach vendors, but a" Respect, Mon" with a fist at arms length will let them know that you were not a first timer to Jamaica and they immediately moved on! We will go back next year, with these additional things: - upgrade to a deluxe room, as it will face the inner courtyards, and will be quiet. Dead quiet by 9 at night. Ours was a last minute standard and we heard a lot of road noise and kitchen talk from the Idle Awhile. - we will again bring and leave two floaties for the next group to enjoy. CCLP will blow them up. - Bring $5's and $1's for tips and cabs, and beverages on the beach - They have shampoo and Aloe in the rooms, coffee and coffee makers, and a fridge. - Bring your own music, if that's what you need during the day. This was our second stay at Coco. The property and all its employees are absolutely wonderful. The location on seven mile cannot be beat. Out of all the beaches on seven mile Coco's was the cleanest. The security on the beach was fabulous. If someone is bothering you just let them know and they'll take care of it. Like one of the security gentleman […] said to us "If he's a bug I'm the off". The hotel property is beautiful. We stayed in a junior suite both of our visits. They are large rooms with great views of the pool and ocean. Our housekeeper was fabulous. She always seemed so happy and sings as she works. I wish we could have someone like her back in the states. Over all I highly recommend this property if you plan to stay in Negril. The Coco LaPalm is a very well maintained hotel and is located right on the beach in Negril. The staff is always very friendly and courteous. While it is not a new hotel, it is very quaint, very clean, and safe with lots of tropical foliage. The restaurant provides excellent Jamaican and American food. It is located close to the ocean and has great […] views. The two swimming pools and hot tub are always clean and inviting. Its location is convenient to all the attractions in Negril especially if you have a rental car. After trying several hotels in Negril, the Coco lapalm is our favoreite. hotel is excellant value/good location 2 pools( very rare for htl this size/nice beach. only negative was waitstaff at restaurant - some were quite dour and just go thru the motions-compared to other htl restraurants in area lacking this area .. other wise nice htl resort!

the beach was fantastic, the location was convenient to everything in Negril. The staff was friendly, loved the jerk chicken, the Jamaican breakfasts, and you can't beat happy hour !! Just be sure to bring plenty of OFF - and don't wait until you're on the beach to apply it.

Really great place to stay - great location. Fantastic staff from check-in girl to security guard on the beach, and everyone in between. Good atmosphere in beach bar at night. We will definitely stay here when we go back to Negril

Excellent location on the 7 mile beach but close enough for a quick cab ride to the cliffs and Ricks Cafe. I recommend this resort as an economical and convenient destination in Negril.

The CocoLaPalm in Negril is a very nice hotel to stay at. Its centrally located on the strip where all the hotels are located. The staff is very pleasant . The food is delicious and affordable. I would definately recommend CocoLaPalm to friends and family

We upgraded to an oceanfront room with no problem and at a very reasonable upgrade charge. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, courteous and kind. I was impressed with the activities, such as the managers evening with free appetizers and drinks, as well as the happy hour evening. We were very satisfied with our stay and cannot wait to return!

We booked the Jr Suite and it was really nice! The room was spacious, nice balcony and the bathroom was big! I thought that the staff could've been a bit more friendlier from the bartender to the guy who showed us to our room. No one in Jamaica went out of their way to help unless a tip was involved which made us feel as if we were being nickeled and […] dimed the whole time. The hotel's food prices were outrageous! $17 for curry goat?! The continental breakfast is 1 juice per person and a basket of toast and muffins and it's priced at $6.50!! Even the jerk stands across the street are pricey. Rick's Cafe was jam packed and the restaurants around it were expensive as well. You can pretty much walk out of your room and be on the beach so that was nice. It was dark and empty by 6:30 though. There's a really nice internet cafe walking distance from the hotel: Surf N Talk (next to Merrill's). It was the least expensive thing we found in Negril. Bottom line, come with extra money to spend! This was my first time at this hotel but certainly not my last. I felt like the "newbie" in the neighborhood as everyone I met were returning guests. This is was a great place to stay for the money! Staff was very nice! Very helpful! They even let me use their cell phone to call home because mines didn't work. Just overall a great experience. Security on the beach as well as the front gate security was great as well..very helpful. They are there a 24 hours to help you. The food there was good as […] well. The only thing was my room had ants. Which on an island right next to the water it's kinda hard. But the room was very clean! Housekeepers did an excellent job giving extra towels or whatever else I requested. I would defiantly receommend COCOLA PALM if you are on a budget! Læs mere

I've been to Negril many times and this is by far the nicest,cleanest,resort with 2 pools, jacuzzi, and a large beach area. Loved the comfortable big bed and room with refrig and table/chairs. The grounds are immaculate. Enjoyed the restaurant breakfasts and dinners although service was SLOW and needs more variety. Extremely good beach and grounds patrol […] so you always feel safe. Their silent presence during negotiations with vendors kept dealings honest and pleasant. Perfect beach location. Pop/beer store and jerk chicken/fish takeout across the street.
