The hotel is nice, but we had to request three time to make the extra bed for our children. At the end , they did, though. Breakfast is not great. Staying in other 5 stars hotels in Jordan, this is the worst breakfast of all. Same applies to dinner. The Italian restaurant is very good, though. Otherwise, the hotel is new, clean and comfortable.

I really love the Kempinski. the rooms are nice the breakfast buffet is very good (although it could use a lot more variety from day to day). The hotel staff are EXCELLENT. I always love staying there. I would definitely recommend taking a day trip to Petra and you can hire a car from the front desk for 110 for the ENTIIRE DAY! NOT UP TO KEMPINSKI STANDARDS AT AAAALL. Terrible service and very rude staff. Everything is old. I was put in a dirty room. Avoid at all costs. Not really 5 stars by any means.

Overall, a good place to stay. We stayed on executive level so had access to executive lounge, which was open for food and drink at periods throughout the day and came in handy several times. Immediate area is fine with some good local cafes. One caution: upon arrival there is a bag scanner in the entrance annex that is just likt the ones at an airport( […] which is normal there). Visitors should be sure that all of their items come all the way through the scanner and that you leave that area with all of you possessions. Twice we had items that did not emerge at the other end and we left the vestibule without them. Luckily we realized this within a few minutes and went back and sure, enough, they turned the belt on and out came our items. We found this a bit disconcerting especially because on the first night our daughter got to her room to disciver that her iPad, which had been in an iPad-sized purse, was missing. Since she couldn't remember whether she carried it out of the cab, we assumed she left it in the cab. However, the two incidents described above gave me pause to wonder . . . In general, though, i was reassured by a close friend who is living in Jordan that "Muslims don't steal," and that the iPad was probably dropped somewhere and whoever found it would not know how to return it to its owner. The rest of our experince was consistent with this view and we did not worry about the security of ourselves or posessions. But we did learn to keep very good track of them. Læs mere

First of all, once I have arrived at the front desk, there wasn't any smile or welcoming gesture, and I had to wait around 20 min for my Hotels reservation was not on his system and he had to contact someone inside to update it. The elevator-card system did not work with me sometimes, and I had to visit the front desk to reactivate my card. Food tasted […] ok, but the menu needs to be improved and there should be more courses. There's a wedding party almost everyday, I could hear their noises in my room. The room was clean and comfortable and the housekeeping staff did their job properly. Location is somehow not ok, the neighborhood is noisy. If I was out of the area, taxis refuse to take me back, their excuse was always: it's crowded! Complimentary tea/coffee making materials are not available. Spa facilities are good. A pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating but if one of the staff offers to organize a "tour taxi at 60JD for 3 hours don't fall for it. I declined and found you get to most places of interest around Amman for 2 or 3JD. This hotel was nice and the staff were very friendly, but there was nothing in the hotel for young children, also do not ask for french fries for your children if you are staying in the hotel as the chef puts herbs on the french fries without asking.

Location is ok, you have restaurants near by and coffe shops and malls by taxi isn't far. However the room is not what you expect from a 5 star hotel nor the bathroom.

The hotel is aging but not aged -- but the staff that work throughout the hotel make up for any flaws the building might have. We cannot say enough about how well the staff in it's entirety treated us during our stay. Please convey to the staff if possible that the Lucas family will definetely be staying with them during our next visit.

The hotel has no flaws. Terrific rooms, exceptionally clean, modern, restaurants fantastic, gym superb, sauna super, swimming pool prestine etc etc etc. Just that restaurants near by are either hidden from the eye, or not so good. There are places around, so make sure that you ask the Reception, and then you will have an unequalled stay.

Had the pleasure to stay at Kempinski for one night and got the chance to experience the Suite. Amazing room with 180 view of Amman. Great service, clean rooms and everything in top shape. Very much recommended!

It was comfortable and hotel service was amazing. Except when I first checked in, the guy on the reception desk asked me about my credit card and I declined to give it to him so in a way he was like threatening me that they will clean all fridge contents if I dont give them the card.

I was shocked to the quality of the service, and level of no interest this hotel had. The cracked glass on the tables, and the condition of the floor, beds, toilets, and the air conditioning has a soul all by itself. i left the second day, and jumped off to another hotel.

Called to ask for the user name and password to access the free internet service. The front desk that the server will be down for 10 minutes, and that I do not need a user name and password to access the internet. I waited for 4 hours, and when I called again to ask about the internet, they informed me that the services was always available and I do […] NEED a user name and password to use it!!! Once I attempted to order room service at 5:30 am. Phone rang but always disconnected. At 6:30 the operator told me that room service will call me back in 2 minutes. Of course they never did. I called again at 7:00 am and at last they answered. I stayed 4 nights. I got the newspaper only on the last morning!!! It seems that employees are dis-informed and careless. Læs mere

Exceptional Value, Great Location...Quiet close to many areas of Amman

Despite being not having a huge number of rooms, this hotel earns it's 5-star rating. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay as convenient as possible. It's all in the details; while spending an afternoon poolside, pool staff came by offering to clean your sunglasses in the event the lenses needed cleaning.

The hotel itself is fine, it's well kept and has a reasonable selection of F&B options. That being said I would expect more from a Kempinski (it's incomparable to the Kempinski Ishtar at the Dead Sea) and more from a major city hotel (I would recommend the Grand Hyatt which I used on my last visit)

Room was nice, staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast service could have been better, but that's a very minor complaint. Overall, I was very happy with the hotel. I would stay there again.

Personally, I travel over 125K miles a year and live in hotels across the world. This is easily the top 10 i have stayed in, which also includes the burj al arab (7 star hotel in dubai). All the hotels i stay in is 5 stars, but this should in my book be 6! I was not emprest by the out side surrounding of the hotel, in side was nice. the front desk staff was not very friendly as i used to see in other hotels (Sheraton, Marriott and Jumeirah towers hotel). This is the second time i have stayed at the Kempinki in Amman. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the choice of english tv channels and sports channels is the best i have had in the middle east. We stayed for One Night in kempinski amman And have to say that this Hotel does not qualify for a 5Star Hotel :( the rooms are rather old fashioned - the beds And matresses are comfortable. The Service is Not the One we Used to have in a kempinski Hotel. For a longer stay Not recommandable. :/

Pros: very friendly staff, fast check-in and check-out, and nice resturant. Cons:The room was a bit small, but neat. They had metal dedector at the enterence. As for their elevators, you have to use your room key, and sometimes it gets irresponsive due to many keys being swiped into it! There is no free WiFi to be found even in the lobby.
