Room way too small,.had to pay for tv, and didnt like that there wasnt a fridge or microwave.

Flat screen TV is a bit small; Perfect if traveling alone on business;

Perfect location; close to theater district, Main Street clubs, Bayou Place, House of Blues, great food, live music, etc... Rooms are small, but we were only there to sleep. Cool bar in lobby. Great service. Cold water dispensers, with empty bottles, on each level. Rate was awesome value. We will return again soon!

Excellent hotel at a very reasonable price. This was our first stay to Houston and my wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and take in the city. The size of the room surprised us though, a bit on the small size. It was too small to include a separate table and chair to work at. Also, I was expecting a refrigerator in the room and didn't realize […] until after the fact that you could get one on request (as is a microwave) so I can't say whether or not there would have been an additional charge. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Location was great being pretty close to most of the downtown districts. We didn't rent any of the the pay for view movies in the room since they were pricey around $17.99 a movie. Valet parking was pricey also at $18 a night plus gratuities. Læs mere

I booked through Hotels.com under the assumption that the hotel should be able to find the reservation. I know...I had the information printed out and had 5 doubles, so I know...it was my fault. But, 10 minutes for the "sober" night clerk to find the reservation seemed a little slow. Also, I had booked an upgraded Queen room and got a double. So, if […] you're counting...that's 6 doubles total. So, I was too drunk and tired to correct their error. But...it was still their error. Læs mere

I truly enjoyed my stay even though I miss not have a bathtub only having a shower yet I still enjoyed my stay

Overall, our stay at Club Quarters Houston was satisfying. The rooms are small but clean and the location is great - convenient for downtown activities. The area is under construction, and it wasn't obvious where or if valet parking was available - but there is a garage right next door that offers overnight/ in & out rates. I loved staying at this hotel. It was comfortable and provided all the amenities I needed. The club size room is perfect for a short stay and at a very fair rate. Staff was very efficient and friendly. The location was close enough to everything around downtown Houston. Would gladly stay here again next time.

No carts for the luggage, or bellmen. Also no room service, or mini bar or fridge. But a nice little restaurant/bar downstairs, and walking distance to a nearby CVS, a little store, and to lots of restaurants about 4-5 blocks away.

Thought the south was supposed to be friendly, but there did not appear to be any southerners working at this hotel. Woman who "greeted" us could not have been less friendly acting or more bureaucratic. The whole check in process is ridiculous. I suppose a quick swipe of your credit card is fine, but if you have two rooms and the second room is not […] also in the name of the cardholder (which hotels.com will not allow to happen) it takes about 10 minutes and 10 repeated questions, handwritten, to get registered, with nary a smile to be found anywhere. Rooms are smaller than New York hotels on a budget. Dark and dated. If the concept is budget, have at it. If a little quality and service combined is your goal, find another spot. This place sucked. When we arrived, it seemed like it was a great hotel and the guy at the front was great and super sweet. However problems had already begun before we got to our room. We had booked 2 twin beds but when we got there they put us in a 1 queen bed room. So we had to go back downstairs get a new card then finally go to our new room. Then when it was time […] to go out, we went downstairs to request the shuttle service that we were told would take us within 5 miles of the hotel. We were obviously lied to since they told us the shuttle didn't run on weekends. After expressing the frustration that we had been told the shuttle would be able to take us to our venue, we ended up just driving. Upon returning to the hotel from our friends music show that SAME evening, WE GOT STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR! You would expect the management to call someone to get us out, but no we continuously called the front desk only to be told "hold on, I have to call my manager to see what to do." Then "I have to call corporate to see what they say," "I have to call the elevator company to see if they can help and come over." It was ridiculous! It had been about an hour when we finally got help NOT from the management but from the fire department that WE called ourselves from inside the elevator. So essentially we had to help ourselves out of that tramatic experience. The hotel tried to compensate us by paying for valet and giving us meal cards worth $12 each for their restaurant downstairs, where everything is at least $10 starting. However, the bartender was pretty awesome so he kind of made up for a little of the horrible experience we had. Anyways Saturday went a little more smoothly than Friday. But not enough to make up for all the trouble we faced. Læs mere

No complaints. Enjoyed the stay.

This great hotel made our visit to the ball park just that much more enjoyable. It was a brief walk to the park that was well lighted at night and we didn't have to fight the traffice getting out of town. It was so comfortable that we stayed an additional night on which we hadn't planned.

We got a great weekend rate on a room. It was small, but had a bed, desk, TV, chair, and bathroom. What more do you need when in for a night on the town? Bed is comfy and staff was helpful. This hotel is very conveniently located downtown, 2 blocks from the nearest Metro Rail station. Plenty of great restaurants and pubs nearby (check out McElroy […] pub right there on Main). Walking distance to so many downtown locations. This is a great place to stay for a trip to downtown Houston. Læs mere

The only bad thing was the construction on the street in front of hotel. I would visit again!

Trendy boutigue hotel. Very clean, nice staff. Nice bar... I would definitely stay here again.

I had read about the rooms being small, and indeed they were smaller than most, but it was well equipped and very clean. Superb food and bar. Location, location, location! Within easy walk to a wealth of coffeeshops, pubs, and eateries. Hotel supplied complimentary self-service filtered waterbottles and complimentary coffees in both room and lobby. […] Computers accessible, and printing of boarding passes for free and via remote wifi. I picked this based on location, avaliablility and price. Very good choice-it was right in the middle of downtown and within walking distance to convention center. The room was fairly small and the AC was nosiy and it did smell like there was a smoker, but adequate as I was basically just sleeping there. They also do have a complimentary town car avaliable […] which was great since it was raining. The staff was very efficent and polite. This is a fantastic period hotel that has been beautifully renovated. The staff is great! It is in downtown Houston and about a block from a couple of good restaurants. But like most downtowns in Texas, it is pretty empty at night. Nevertheless, its a fantastic hotel if you need to be at/near the convention center or at meetings downtown. Last minute booking because of conference. Hotel is kind of hip. I was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and helpful front desk. Room was small and well equipped for conference or buisiness-type visit. I was alone so the room was an adequate size. I liked the filtered water idea. Nice walk-in shower. Rooms were smaller than an average room, but the cleanliness and friendliness of staff more than made up for size. Also, for the incredibly affordable price and great location, the small size is a small concession.

For what u pay its hard to beat if you use web sites. .The only knock I see if you have a lot of baggage or need a lot of assistance then you will have to be patient as there are only a couple of people who work the front desk and or valet so busy times you can be waiting for 10-15 min. They are good at about having cars ready of you call ahead. If […] you are a self doer u can use a machine to check and make room key or check out.. They only have 2 computers with slow internet in main lobby for guest use so expect to wait for a computer esp in morning hours Just realize on weekends the area around hotel is dead/closed so good luck getting coffee, etc. Læs mere

The Club Quarters was a very nice restored hotel in downtown Houston. The room was modern and very comfortable, though not very large. We stayed there to see baseball games at Minute Maid Park, which was an easy 6 block walk. Finding places to eat nearby was no problem.
