The Homestead - Ahwahnee

I would go back without hesitation. I had to really think to come up with a negative.

We went there for our honeymoon in mid November '11 and had a wonderful time staying at The Loft. The practice of them is that they will appear only whenever we need help or assistance, if not they will leaving us to have our personal space. Even room cleaning will only appear when there see our car was gone. Decoration in the room was very pretty […] and like a dream come true cozy environment. Within The Loft, we have almost everything that we need to prepare a meal and the convenient store was about 5-10mins drive away. At night, gazing out of the window to enjoy the starry night was one of our favorite activities. The place was quiet and I have a wonderful relax stay there. If opportunities arise, I'm sure I will stay there again. Læs mere

Beautiful surroundings and complete privacy- individual cottages and an upstairs loft. Only regret - 2 night stay was too short. Suggestion - Do not rely on GPS or other internet engines for directions. Follow directions from listing or call ahead for complete directions to this hide-away.

Welcoming, fantastic surroundings and high quality accomodation, better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in... Highly recommend

We had a wonderful time staying at the Homestead during our visit to Yosemite. It was so clean and so quiet. You have your own cabin and it is like you are totally alone under the stars, but there are other guests not too far away. This is a fantastic place to stay. Relaxing, peaceful and welcoming. Takes about 45min- and hour to get to Yosemite village from here. Great place to come back to after an exhausting day in the park. The cottages contain all you need, including a very well equipped kitchen. Tv has lots of cable channels -including sports! The Homestead supplied us with all of the amenities of home--a kitchenette stocked with a refrigerator, stove, microwave and even a corkscrew--and it was only a half-hour away from Yosemite National Park. After a day of hiking, we found it conveniently close to Yosemite, and we stayed there during the seasonal peak in mid-July. A cool evening breeze […] on the three nights we stayed there meant that we didn't even have to use the air conditioning. Booked this place after reading all the positive reviews and was not disappointed. Very friendly owners who make you very welcome and provide things like milk, muffins and cereal. Could and should have stayed longer. Yosemite beautiful - allow an extra day at least!

A very unique B&B on 160 acres with individual cabins equiped with a complete kitchen. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating.

OUR STAY HERE WAS PERFECT THE ACCOMMODATION IS VERY HOMELY AND VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF VERY HELPFUL. IT IS AN IDEAL POSITION TO VISIT YOSEMITE BUT ALSO CONVENIENT FOR OAKHURST SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I think I expected a rustic cottage. What I recieved was one of most beautiful places I heve ever stayed and I have been almost everywhere. The Native Indian art reminded me of home with a gas fireplace and a spotlessly clean bathroom and kitchen. This was a true joy to stay at. I which I could have stayed longer. The muftins were local and very fresh […] with Tea and OJ a treat in the morning. Cows nearby gave it a country feeling but it was fairly close to Yosemite. Not to far from the land of plenty where all the nation's crops grow, it was fun to get the local fair. I hope to stay again if I am nearby as in June and July it is great weather. Great retreat far from the crowds. My wife loved it. If you're a smoker, you might wnat to consider another place. No smoking in the rooms (rather standard and expected). No smoking on the property (rather inconvenient).

I found everything about the Homestead to be very comfortable and relaxing. I wish we would have stayed longer so we could have hiked more around the property, which is in a beautiful area. Our cabin was great.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Homestead. The star gazing loft was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was unexpected but very tasty. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The Homestead grounds were great to walk around. A very helpful guide folder was in the room providing good info on activities in the area. Although it is outside Yosimite, […] it is only a 30 minute driver to the entrance to the park. lake bass is close by with was great for hiking. This is a wonderful location offering peace and quiet and a good place to base for Yosemite. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helpful and we would urge anyone to try this place!

This was a great experience. The hospitality was great. A real home away from home. Brilliant.

We really enjoyed staying at the Homestead. The owners were excellent and went out of their way to make you welcome. They provided plenty of information for exploring the area.Being woken up by the woodpeckers was quite unusual. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable

We really enjoyed our stay at the Loft at The Homestead. We came in tired and were instantly perked up by our host and hostess who greeted us cheerily and helped carry our luggage up to the room. They were ready with suggestions as to where to eat and how to best explore Yosemite NP. Absolutely no complaints from us.

Bei den Homestead Cottages handelt es sich um eine Bed & Breakfast Unterkunft in Ahwahnee, einem kleinen Örtchen etwa 30 Minuten Fahrzeit vom Yosemite Park entfernt. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es im nahe gelegenen Oakhurst. Das Homstead wurde - bis auf den Rohbau - von den Eigentümern selbst gebaut. Die Anlage besteht aus 6 Cottages, […] die liebevoll und mit viel Sinn für Details eingerichtet wurden. Unser Cottage hatte ein komfortables Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, ein romantisches Schlafzimmer, ein großes Bad und eine schönen Küche. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Im Februar waren wir die einzigen Gäste. Das Frühstück wurde uns für den nächsten Tag in der Küche bereit gestellt. Es bestand aus einem Muffin, Müsli, Milch, O-Saft und Obst. Den Muffin konnte man am Vortag aus drei Sorten auswählen. Die Cottages sind mit Satteliten-Fernsehen und kostenlosem Internet ausgestattet. Einen Safe haben sie nicht, erschien uns in dieser Abgeschiedenhaut nicht wirklich erforderlich. Ansonsten war alles da, sogar Handcreme und ganz entzückende Bademäntel. Læs mere
