Athen er en fantastisk by og hvis man ønsker det kan man gå til centrum på en lille halv time, eller benytte undergrunden, så er man downtown på ti minutter. Har man forsynet sig med hotellets ret store morgenmadsbuffet så er man klar til selv de værste strabadser. Skal der dryppes lidt malurt i blevet, så må det være, at vinduerne ikke så ud til at […] være blevet vasket de sidste 5 år, og kvarteret måske har set bedre dage. En gammel skrøne vi hørte meget om inden vi tog af sted, var at der skulle være beskidt og en masse forurening, det er to udsagn der absolut ikke stemmer overens med nutidens Athen. Læs mere

Min kæreste og jeg havde en rigtig god ferie, og det var ikke mindst takket være Classical Athens Imperial. Servicen på hotellet var i top, personalet var venligt og talte engelsk bedre end stort set alle andre indfødte i Athen. Man kommer ikke uden om, at hotellet ikke ligger i den mondæne bydel. Vi havde dog ingen problemer, og man kunne frit og sikkert […] bevæge sig rundt i kvarteret. Området er ikke værre end dele af København, London og Rom. Kort sagt var det er klassisk storby-miljø. Der er dog ikke meget af se i kvartererne ved hotellet, men det er nemt at komme til de interessante steder, da der ligger en metro-station 50 meter fra hotellet. Så man kan stort set gå lige ned i metroen, og hen til de "turistede" steder Selve hotellet var imidlertid i top-klasse, men måske nærmere et 4-stjernet hotel. Læs mere

Plus: Room had a decent size and looked relatively newly renovated. Especially the bathroom was nice. The rooftop terrace with pool and view of the Acropolis is clearly an asset. Central location right next to metro station, so getting around to monuments, shopping, and dining is easy. Minus: Overall condition of the hotel not impressive. Hallways […] seemed dark and filthy. Elevators are slow and have insufficient capacity, which means that you end up waiting all the time. In several cases we gave up and took the stairs. Gritty neighbourhood. It did not seem downright unsafe, but definetely not very charming. Overall: Not quite worthy of a 5-star hotel as it is branded. However, if you can get a discount deal like we did(hotels.com doesn't allow you to post specific prices), it is still pretty good value for money. Læs mere

Utroligt lækkert hotel, med god udsigt fra poolområdet. Nabolaget var ikke det bedste, men metro lå tæt på og afstand til centrum blev hurtigt tilbage lagt. Personalet er utroligt venligt. Kan sagtens anbefales.

Hotellet er som helhed fint, servicen er rigtig god, morgenmaden også i top. Poolen er mindre en på billedet men også forventet. Værelses vi havde var ikke for stort, og den 3 opredning vi havde betalt for bestod at en sammenklaplig seng i et iforvejen ikke for stort dobbeltværelse, som var den eneste reele skuffelse vi havde. Hotellet ligger rigtig […] tæt på Metro, så kun 10 min til centrum. Nabolaget er bestemt ikke det pæneste, men vi følte os på intet tidspunkt usikre og havde ingen ubehalige oplevelser. Hotellet er ideelt som udgangspunkt da det er tæt på metroen, Poolen er fin og der er god luft på taget selv i Juli. Hotellet ligger ganske fint med en mindre gå tur til centrum. Ved den direkte vej til centrum skal krydses et mindre sympatisk område, som dog er uden problemer at passere, dog ses nogle spøjse typer mennesker. Få meter fra hotellet ligger en super fin metro som tilbyder på enkel vis, at transportere turister til centrum på få minutter. Endvidere samme […] sted afgår turistbusser ligeså til centrum. Godt hotel til prisen, med en fed tagterasse med pool og udsigt til Acropolis og byen som helhed. Nabolaget er et ret hårdt og der deales stoffer lige udenfor hotellet og de omkring liggende gader. Der er meget politi på gaden, så vi følte os ikke utrygge, men om aftenen er det taxa kørsel.

Beliggenhed fin ifht. metro og bus men i et kedeligt område. En del skæve eksistenser i gadebilledet og advarsler mod lommetyve. Super fin service på hotellet - meget imødekommende personale. Fin værelse og ingen gener af trafikstøj på trods af beliggenheden. Morgenmaden var fin for græske standarder. Kan gerne anbefale hotellet til andre.

Fremragende morgenmad. 100 m. til nærmeste Metrostation. Gåafstand til Akropolis og shopping muligheder.

Hotellet er beliggende tæt på Metro og i gå afstand til Akropolis. Personalet var meget venlige og imødekommende. Prisen for mad og drikke på hotellet var måske lidt i den høje ende, ligsom personalet i restaurant og bar var længe om at servere det bestilte. Overordnet var vi dog meget tilfredse....

Not at 5 stared hotel in France, Spain, Portugal. Don't know the standard of other hotels in Athen, but have within the last month been to four other 4stars hotels and one 5star hotel. Vi havde et godt ophold på hotellet. Personalete var professionelt og imødekommende, og værelserne pæne og rummelige. Hotellet er nemt at komme til, og der ligger metrostation ved siden af. Det eneste minus var langsomme elevatorer.

Hotellet er af høj standard med meget fint, venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Det ligger meget centralt, med Metro 2 min. gang fra hotellet.

Hotellet ligger tæt på den gamle bydel og tæt på shopping muligheder. Det har en dejlig pool på taget, men i foråret er åbningstiden temmelig begrænset, så det er ikke muligt at se Akropolis by night fra tagterrassen. Det er et typisk konferrence hotel med tilhørende priser. Aircondition anlæggets temperatur indstilling i vores værelse duede ikke så […] der var enten meget koldt eller meget varmt. The location is great, in front of metro. We have a room with some view of Acropolis on the 7th floor which is nice.  But the hotel decor, amenities and service are just very standard. Free and strong- signal wifi is great. The roof garden was closed so we could enjoy their famous view on the top which is a bummer. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooftop was not open and that was a big disappointment. It was April and warm. Athens is full of smokers. The outside rooms with views are all smoking rooms. We faced the atrium, rather dull. They offered us an outside room, but the smoke smell was unbearable. Nice hotel but too many traffic jam in the area: reach the hotel or to go out from the center it can take too much time especially if you are in a business trip

the quality and the service in the hotel every time is declining. if you take shower the full toilet will under water. The towel of the bath are like you in motel but you having charge as five 5 hotel Excelente breakfast. for 20 euros additionally. TV system is just local channel and if you dont speak greek is better to keep off. the internet service […] is excellent until 6pm o'clock then people is returning to the hotel and became to get slow. Located in central Athens. Short trip to all majors. No parking, except for motorcycles/scooters which can park in front. Gym is a joke. Great view from the roof club/pool. good staff.

Very good deal for Athens. Only downside are the drug users that line the street that connects this with Omonoia. Also if I wanted to be picky i would also say the mattress is too firm. But still my #1choice

Overall, the Classical Athens Imperial was a good hotel. The view from the rooftop pool and bar was phenomenal. We spent several hours lounging by the pool with drinks in hand and enjoying the scenery. Prices are what you would expect at this type of location (high but not outrageous). The food was decent but service was slow. Our room was wonderful, […] except for the comfort of the bed… or lack thereof. It was hard and noisy but I have found this typical of European hotels so I didn’t take the rating down too much for it. Other than that, we loved the room. It was large, well furnished and clean. The hallway smelled of smoke but the room did not. The best part was the four-hands massage! The “spa room” is pathetic but the therapist were fantastic. The location was great for our purpose. It was right off the hop-on hop-off tour route but also walkable from most of the main tourist areas (15-30 minutes). For the price, I was satisfied with the hotel and would recommend it to others. 5 star hotel that has seen better days. Seem to have cut back on maintenance budget as a few things were not quite right in the room. Plus no hand soap provided! (another cutback?)

The hotel is convenient to get to on the metro, right outside the Metraxiough (not sure if spelled correctly) and just out of the main centre of athens. 10/15 mins in all to get to Syntagma Sq. We got a superior room so if I'm being honest I expected a bit more but it was extremely comfortable with a massive bed! Room a little small and no view in […] ours outher than the central atrium. Bathroom a good size and the shower was excellent. Loved it that there was a telephone next to the toilet. The roof top pool and pool bar are very nice and worth a visit. Cocktails and other drinks are a little pricey but that is hotels. View of the acropolis was good. Staff very friendly and helpful storing bags on checkout day. The overall visit was good with no outstanding features but none that were unsatisfactory. Læs mere

Good location. Close to the Metro transport. Easy to go to the Airport by Metro. Friendly staff. Free WiFi Old interior furnishing in need of an update renovation. There is some water issue with leaking water from shower recess door and from shower over bath flooding the bathroom floor. It is more like a 3 star than 5 star hotel.

We thought the hotel was in a good location as far as being close to the sites. There is a great view of the Acropolis from the roof of the hotel. The 2 complaints we had was that the bed was very hard, and the shower door in our room had a gap so the water leaked all over the floor. The staff was great and the hotel was clean.

Excellent hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Upgraded our room at no cost when we expressed disatisfaction with the allocated room. Conveniently located next to the metro which was very convenient and cheap. There is a kiosk right outside the hotel where most neccesities,including beer and wine, can be purchased at a fraction of the hotel price . This hotel is an a pretty good location. The clealiness of the actual hotel was great. The overall city area looked alright. About a 10 euro cab ride from the hotels, nice little gyro shop across the street (which was good). Not even a 5 minute walk from the subways which is the gateway to EVERYTHING! Maybe 3-4 stops from the Acropolis museum. Staff […] friendly and wi fi in rooms. Nice pool on the roof . Not going to down it but the bar was kind of overpriced and didnt give too much alcohol. It's an okay hotel, but the neighborhood is not nice, and that's a deal-breaker for me. It doesn't feel nice to be in the city when you're based in this area, which feels kind of seedy and vaguely unsafe. Though it is convenient by metro to the center (just a few stops), it didn't feel good to stay here. Also I found the layout of my room weird--plenty […] of space but laid out in such a way that it just felt wrong. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Uncomfortable bed, and everything felt a bit old and past its prime. Elevators were slow and felt like they might not make it all the way. Internet cut out entirely for two of the days I was there--even the business center internet didn't work during this time and I needed internet to work but was out of luck. The good points: service is friendly and pleasant, the food is quite good, and I guess they have a nice rooftop bar and pool, though I didn't have a chance to visit. But not at all worth the price paid, in the end. If it's cheap, fine. But there are many better options in Athens. Læs mere

The hotel seems to have a problem with water, and to be specific.. a licking water from the AC units. Very often there are buckets on the floor in corridors and no warning, so it's very easy to trip. The location is very good and close to the metro station. I had a great time overall and I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel has some of the largest rooms - the superior room - I have experienced in Athens - if not the largest. The bathroom has bot a bath tub and a shower and it is vary spacious. Internet was free and relatively fast - sometimes it was a bit slow. Greek taverna across the street with good food and reasonable prices. The view from the roof bar/pool […] area is spectacular. Next to the Metaxourgeion metro station - you can reach any destination through metro in a few minutes. You may decide to walk towards Omonia and Syntagma area - 5-15 minutes The carpet in the corridors need to change. excellent staff at this hotel - also whilst neighbourhood not perfect - great restaurant across the street - metro stop only a few metres away also hop on hop off bus stop next to metro - very handy

Was at the Special Olympics summer games this July and was looking for a hotel suitable for my family. Hotel is in the better part of Athens, lovely restaurant directly across the road. The hotel was a bit on the expensive side both food and drink wise and room cost. Area at night can be bit dangerous, wouldn't advise to go out alone. I experienced […] no problems but we stayed together when we went out. The hotel itself was clean and kept in good condition. Good hotel bad location

This is NOT a five star hotel. I am a regular traveler, and I travel all over Europe all the time. This hotel is not a five star hotel by any standard. Although the staff are very nice and helpful, I had two major problems with this hotel. First, as you enter the hotel lobby, there is a huge smell of cigarette smoke which hits you in the face. It is […] really bad. Secondly, the bathroom in my room was filthy and had yellow and black mildew all over in the corners and around the tub. The shower door leaked at the bottom and after taking a quick shower, the entire floor of the bathroom was full of water. This is such an elementary issue which one should not encounter at even a three star hotel let alone a five star one. This hotel, is at best, a three star hotel. The breakfast was very nice though, and the staff very nice and professional. The location is also convenient as it is next to a metro station. In the same square where this hotel is located, there are a couple of other hotels that are better and offer lower prices, and because of that, and due to the above problems I mentioned, I would not stay at this hotel again. The Classical Imperial was very nice. Close to the metro so traveling wasn't a problems. The bed was very comfortable considering, my problems finding a bed to sleep on comfortable. My only issue was that the room was a little hot, but over all it was great...We received the room facing the intersection of the lobby. Although we did not have a nice […] view, the center of the lobby isn't a bad view either. The only thing I have to complain about was the heat, I would book this hotel again. Service was great, breakfast was great (keeping in mind this is a greek hotel breakfast) and location is great. You'll enjoy this hotel. The staff goes out of their way to help. The location is less than a block away from the metro.

This is a good hotel in a bit of a bad neighborhood. The rooms are good size and the amenities are fine. It is convenient to the metro. The only drawback was the lack of good restaurants in the area and the quality of the people you encountered between the metro and the hotel. The metro is close to hotel make u move very fast around the city

Spacious, clean room. Great location out of the caos, but right in front of metro...10 min. to all tourist attractions. Great, and cheap restaurant right across street or 2 euro gyro..2 hr. Laundry one block away.
