We booked this hotel for a 2 night stay in Paris. Although not in the centre, it is easily accessible from the metro via line 6 (Picpus). Area around seemed quite pleasant with lots of cafes, Boulangeries etc. The supermarket opposite closes at 9pm but there is one nearer the metro that stayed open later. Paris was very hot during our stay and the air […] conditioning seemed to take a while to make the room cool.. The best part about the hotel for us was the staff, especially the lady on reception who was very helpful and enjoyed helping our 4 year old to begin speaking a little French! Læs mere

The Allegro Hotel was located in a quiet neighborhood serviced by the Picpus Metro stop and buses. There was a wonderful street market a block away and a supermarket across a narrow street. There was an ATM at the end of the block and one at the Metro stop. We arrived early around 10 AM and were immediately given a room with twin beds on the second […] floor. The room and bathroom were very clean - the maid came every day to straighten the beds, replenish the towels and do some general cleaning up. The beds were extremely comfortable. The map of Paris that we got from the desk was excellent. Even when we came in late at night, there was always a receptionist at the desk in the lobby, and all the receptionists could speak basic English. We had no problem with the hotel policy of handing in the room key when leaving the hotel. When we arrived and at our request, the hotel reserved a shuttle to the airport for us for when we were to leave. The shuttle service was reasonably priced, picked us up at the time arranged and got us to Charles De Gaulle in good time for our plane The hotel breakfast was expensive so we only ate there the last morning when we needed the convenience of an early breakfast with no clean-up. However, the street market and the supermarket provided great alternatives for other days. We stayed at the Allegro for a week, and I really liked it and its staff. I would heartily recommend the Allegro to anyone who wants good, basic accomodations. Læs mere

This is a really nice hotel with well appointed rooms and friendly staff. Only problem was major road construction immediately outside the entrance to the hotel. The construction is messing up that part of Taksim, and may continue well into 2013.

The Hotel is easy to find with good access to the Paris Metro and within comfortable distance from the main tourist sites. Being in a residential area, it is a relatively quiet area in terms of traffic noise and good access to local boulangerie, and greengrocer. There are not many good restaurants in the vicinity so need to catch the Metro. Minor issue […] - doors to rooms require slamming to shut properly which can be disturbing, especially late at night. Dodgy lift, got stuck for an hour, staff speak very little English, no towels on two occasions after maid had been. Maid left room door open twice, not unlocked but actually open, manager didn't seem to bothered. Says it is a non smoking hotel, corridor and bedroom stunk of smoke. Beds uncomfortable. Because we had an early flight and were unable to access our room, hotel staff stored our luggage while we explored. Hotel was located close to the train station and a variety of shops eg. fruit, bread/pastry, grocery, pharmacy etc. We didn't find much in the way of restaurants/cafes close by, although the hotel did have a restaurant which we didn't […] use. Stayed two nights while working at a project meeting. Very comfortable and convenient with good free internet access. Room very comfortable for the reasonable price.

Bright, modern hotel. Room felt small when sofabed was made up but not a problem as we only slept there. Good English spoken at Reception who were very helpful re getting around Paris. Located in a quiet, safe area, close to several Metro stations. We used Picpus (2/3 min walk away) for getting to the Eiffel Tower and Vincennes (5 min walk away) for […] getting to Gare du Lyon. Didn't eat at hotel as we felt it a bit expensive but thats Paris for you. Supermarket next door and several cafes/bars in the vicinity. Pretty clean despite the moquette on the floor does not help to the overall felling of clean room. The rooms seem to be comfortable for 2 people while for 3 (and we were 3 of us) are a bit small but more than acceptable for a couple of days. Following other recommendations we never get breakfast inside, too expensive (13euro). We loved our stay in this hotel. It was reassuring to know we were going back to a lovely clean and comfortable room each night after a hectic day's sightseeing. The bathroom was equally clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. I normally wouldn't review the same hotel multiple times, but since they had just renovated in April, I felt it was justified. What an improvement! The furnishings had been drab and outdated, but now they feel much more welcoming, clean and comfortable. The bed is soft. The bathrooms are sleek, though I'm a little perplexed why they put this enormous […] shower head in when there are no curtains, so if you stand up the water goes all over the floor, where there is no drain. They clearly expect you to wash using the handheld nozzle, but if so, why even install such a noticeable overhead showerhead? I'm not complaining, just confused by the thinking that went into the design. Overall, the new look is great and makes a reliable hotel all the better value. Hotel was nice, upgraded. The location was not close to much had to walk, there was a taxi stand across the street but never anyone in their taxis'. The rooms were small but they were nice. The bathroom door isn't shut, but kind of closed. Rooms were clean and new toiletries daily.

This hotel was undergoing renovations. We LOVED our room. It was very posh and clean. The design of the room was great, and we loved how clean and new everything seemed. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The location was ideal (just off the 1 Metro line which hits all the major Paris spots). There was a great grocery store across the street […] where we could purchase snacks, and lots of boulangeries and pattiseries around. I would absolutely 100% stay there again. We also bought EuroDisney tickets at the hotel lobby which helped us save some money. The area the hotel is in felt very safe and it was right by the Nation stop which also picks up other major Metro lines. the hotel also had FREE WI-FI. The only negatives were the price of the breakfast 12 Euros (instead, we bought ham and cheese baguettes at one of the boulangeries) and the construction that started at 8AM every day we were there (we could hear some of the noise coming from the first floor). Quiet hotel, well placed for central Paris and the peripherique. When I had a problem with the (free) WiFi internet access from the room they addressed the problem, called me back as promised and stuck with it until it was resolved. And then checked with me that I was happy. A good sign of a hotel that cares. Use it! Terry

For my week's stay in Paris, I wanted a moderately priced hotel in a safe, convenient location. I was pleasantly surprised with the Allegro Hotel. The room was satisfactory. The bed was a little uncomfortable. I did find though that the sheets had some kind of cardboard fiber scattered through out the bed. The people at the front desk where helpful and friendly. There was air-conditioning but there was only a nominal breeze coming from the overhead vent. Paris was very hot during this time - […] around 90F one day. The hotel was off of a main street but it didn't look like a particularly safe area. I wish that hotels in France had more that just CNN in English. There were US dramas in German so why can't there be some English programing - at least one station. Breakfast (13EUR) was a little too expensive. But the room was clean. Only one power socket in the room. The free Wi-Fi connection was stable. I was able to connect to the internet without a problem. Friendly front desk. I enjoyed my stay. I would stay there again.

We had a great time in Paris. We found the hotel a bit far out but it was nice to get a way from the hustle and busell of the city. We would like to recomend Le Rugby Bar 50 yards lower down the street the owner Stephane was so friendly and he went out of his way to accomodate us, the food was great there to. This hotel is sober and simple. Nothing fancy nor comfortable. Excellent service. It would need a little renovation in the room and better mattress. Free Wi-Fi which is not that common in Europe yet. Overall a basic but clean hotel with good service.

Hôtel très confortable ( literie et salle de bain) chambre occupée très calme , isolée du couloir, personnel accueillant, petit déjeuner "cher" mais très correct. Situation ? Un très bon séjour, le quartier est très sympa, l'accès est très pratique par le métro, proche de la gare de Lyon et de Bercy. L'accueil, la propreté et le confort de l'hôtel sont impeccables.

Très bon service, personnel aimable, agréable et serviable, chambre très propre et bien entretenue. Le petit déjeuner était bien complet aussi. L'hôtel est situé un peu plus loin que d'autres des principales attractions touristiques (métro Picpus sur la ligne 6), mais les environs sont tranquilles et ça ne nous prenait que 15 min environ pour nous rendre […] au centre-ville. Toutes les personnes à la réception que nous avons rencontrées pendant notre séjour de 4 jours se sont efforcées de nous aider lorsque nous avions des questions, toujours avec le sourire, ce qui a été grandement apprécié.
