Hyggeligt hotel som ligger ca. 1 km fra Quens mile i Edinburgh. Rigtig god morgenmad, roligt hotel, rent, god italiensk restaurant 100 meter til venstre for hotellet

Vi fik en billig pris på et familieværelse og var overrasket over den gode kvalitet. Det er et godt hotel, men der var desværre ingen varme på værelset. Dette gjorde vi dog heller ikke opmærksom på, da vi næsten ikke var der.

Godt valg for shopping og teater men stadig tæt på kontorbygninger downtown. Lidt ældre væreselser men pæne og ren. Simpel morgenmad, men serveres tidligt.

Meget fin service på alle måder, fik bl.a. morgenmad kl 5.00. Meget hjælpsomt og venligt personale.

God beliggenhed og venlig betjening, men Boede på et ekstremt lille værelse til 3 personer på øverste etage, hvor den 3. seng var proppet ind, så al gulvplads var optaget, så man måtte kravle over sengene. Ingen skabsplads til tøj og andet. Varmen på værelset lige under taget var ulidelig. Ubehagelig kompressorstøj, når vinduet blev åbnet for at få […] luft ind. synes det var rigtig godt og behageligt hotel til prisen,og meget centralt

Lækkert værelse med god seng og udvalg af hovedpuder (hård/blød). Gåafstand til storset alt! Herunder 5-10 min. gang til banegården, hvorfra lufthavnsbussen afgår. Busser lige uden for døren - mange destinationer. Hyggelig pub 2 minutters gang væk. Stortset nabo til 2 glimrende cocktailbarer. "The Playhouse" ligger lige på den anden side af vejen. Rig […] mulighed for shopping i nabolaget. Lige ved siden af hotellet ligger et supermarked, der har åbent til kl. 23 - vistnok hver dag. En god ting, hvis éns bagage er forsinket. Morgenmaden er ikke overdådig, dog bestemt acceptabel. Den er inkluderet i prisen, hvilket også gælder te/kaffe. Desværre knirker gulvene ude på hotelgangen meget, hvorfor jeg valgte at sove med ørepropper, da jeg skulle tidligt op og på arbejde hver morgen. Da min nabo holdt fest kl. 4 om morgenen, var personalet hurtige til at få standset festen, da jeg ringede, og der var ro inden for 5 minutter! Der er ikke "pengeskab" på værelset, men man kan vist aflevere værdigenstande i receptionen, hvis man har behov for det. Læs mere

Godt på alle måder,bortset fra sovesofa var dårlig at ligge på, man kunne mærke stålrør når man lå på den.

Hotel was ok but a bit expensive for what it was even given the discount on hotels.com. Room was comfortable and clean but very basic. Location was handy though. Would only recommend if the rate was better.

Was pleasantly surprised to find hotel on opposite side of road from theatre a mere 1 minute walk away...Hotel is also situated, within a stones throw of some great restaurants, would have given all 5, but was slightly disappointed with breakfast, although one did get susage & scrambled eggs a bit of bacone & friend egg would have made it complete... Away from the noisy parts of the city but only 15 mins walk from Waverly train station and prices street, 30 mins walk to the castle - this is hotel is good for its price. Only issue we had was that the bathroom flooded whenever you had a shower because of its design and a totally pointless shower curtain.

Hotel need to see about more comfort in providing some toiletries and need to check the maintenance of bath tub because my sink and bath was blocked while taking a shower

As we had a special deal per room per night with a suitable breakfast, I would definately go back at this price.it was a very good Location very central for shops theatre, resturantsand Princes st. etc; Enjoyed my stay in a lovely city.

The hotel and services were good but we were placed next door to a smoking room with a connecting door to both rooms. If it was just myself and my wife I wouldn't have bothered so much about the smell of smoke coming into our room but we have a two year old son sharing the room with us who had to breath it in. We stayed here overnight as we were going to a show at EdinburghPlahouse. This is an ideal hotel for that - right across the road and only a few mins walk from Waverley Station. Room was clean and comfortable enough for an overnight stay. The complimentary breakfast was good - better than some breakfasts I have paid for. The bar was open till one which […] was ideal for a nightcap before bed. Checkout 11am but we were able to leave our bag at reception which allowed us to spend a few hours around Edinburgh without lugging our bag about. I would and have already, recommended this hotel to anyone travelling to Edinburgh - in particular to the theatre. Læs mere

The location of the hotel was excellent, very close to the main shopping street, buses and train station. Would recommend this hotel highly. We also had to check in early - the hotel staff were extremely nice and straight away arranged a room 4 us!

hotel very comfortable and clean. very convenient for the playhouse, plenty resturaunts and bars in surrounding area.

the only thing for me was, we went for breakfast about 0845 and there were no seats, we had to wait , i would recommend going for breakfast between 7 and 8 but i loved the hotel, so would go back for my first choice to edinburgh

This hotel was in an excellent location for us as we were visiting the playhouse which was directly across the road the room was comfortable and clean and the staff offer an excellent service would definitely use this hotel again.

The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. BUT, don't get a room on the front, it is right on a VERY busy road and you get all the road noise, foot traffic, and emergency vehicles ALL night! Also, parking is quite limited and they don't tell you ahead of time that it's around the back in two locked lots that they have to buzz you in, and they recommend […] that you don't move your car because you may not get a spot when you come back. Basic hotel, in a good location. Staff were not the friendliest and the hotel car park ( when you can convince the staff to give you a Space ) is very tight and difficult to negotiate.

My husband and I have chosen to stay in Holiday-Inn-Express in Edinburge City Centre for 3 nights. Upon the 2nd night when we got back into hotel at about 8pm, the room wasn't cleaned, exactly the same when we left in the morning, I called reception to inquire, then being asked 3 times even I confirmed that I DIDN'T put a sign up of 'do not disturb' […] on the door, the attitude of their staff are appallingly not helpful, it seemed that they just wanted to cover each other after being found that the service wasn't delivered. Second morning, we booked via the hotel for a one-day trip to visit Lock Lomond after being persuaded, instead of booking via tourist-information-centre. I very much regretted. The receptionist asked us to wait outside of the hotel for 20 minutes in the street. later on as the tour guide had to pick other guests from different hotel, we discovered that the other guests were greeted by the guide in their hotel lobby, instead of the freezing cold street. Vivid contrast of service received, I must say that I wasn't very pleased. Overall, I will not recommed this hotel to anyone in the future. Læs mere

Good value with adequate breakfast. Location is perfect as everywhere us easily accessible with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We would definitely be happy staying here again

I stayed there on a Saturday night with a group of friends. My own room was nice, and the staff were very helpful in swapping a double room to a twin room for my friend and I. The other members of the group had a room on the main road. They did not request a switch and found when they went to bed that the noise from the traffic and pedestrians was very […] loud, and therefore they did not get a great sleep. We were going to a show at the playhouse - hotel is right across the road. Hotel was clean, staff were fine, beds comfy, breakfast basic, but ok. Could do with a bigger dining room. Overall excellent value for money

Room was good unfortunately the noise from nearby discos was very loud and seem to go on very late into the night. Breakfast was terrible the worst I experienced in a long time for the price we paid. Also the choice of beer in the bar was extremely limited.

Note: access to front of hotel is only heading south off the end of Broughton Street. Plenty of room to unload before parking. If you see a park and pay - out front - grab it. The position is central enough with short walk to Queens Palace, Royal mile and the castle. Recommend the Palace over Edinburgh Castle though. The hotel staff were efficient and […] very helpful offering directions and maps. Breakfast was satisfactory and comfortable. The hotel was very clean and quite warm though perhaps caught out by a few warm days in September. The rooms were quiet enough but I always use earplugs anyway. There is a nice old pub right across the road which we saw coming back on our last night. The adds say complimentary parking but be aware it is usually in short supply and one staff was going to charge me £20 except I only parked to load up and leave. Didn't argue the fact but get it clear before you leave it there overnight. PS Parking in Park and pay is £2 per hour till 6pm and free on Sunday so a Sat afternoon park and a few pound takes the ticket to Mon morning. Have fun. We did. Læs mere

Enjoyed a nice comfortable night at this hotel. Very clean and modern - especially the shower room. Great location for central Edinburgh and all the sights. Breakfast was OK - plenty to eat but lacks variety with the hot food - beans, sausage and scrambled egg. Great hotel for a couple of nights but not sure I'd want to stay there longer.
