Vi boede på dette hotel i 3 nætter og allerede efter den første ville jeg ud. Værelserne var klamme og fugtige. Det gaber under døren til gangen så man kan høre ALT inkl. stuepigernes skænderi om morgenen. Området omkring hotellet er godt i dagstimerne, hvor der både er butikker, restauranter og bio, men lige så snart det bliver mørkt, er der vagter […] og politi alle vegne og skumle typer der går rundt eller står i grupper. Walls are paper thin!!!! Guests staying next door shouting to turn down the television when it wasn't even on loud. Disturbed twice without cause or reason by the staff knocking on the door like police officers. Room is much smaller than on the picture. Front desk staff (2 women) were extremely helpful and pleasant. Went there for a birthday get-a-way, […] leaving only to have felt more anxiety. Air conditioning stays on for a short period of time and once it goes off you can literally hear the guests next door coughing, sneezing, talking, etc. along with the maids jotting down the hallways. Overall, appearance wise a beautiful hotel. If you want complete rest, relaxation, and privacy I definitely recommend you go elsewhere with your family or loved one. You won't find solitude here. My partner and I needed a place to stay during our overnight layover. All hotels close to the airport were booked, so we ventured a little further out and found Shula's. The rate was really great, and the pictures of the rooms sealed the deal for us. It ended up being a decent stay, as the staff was very friendly. We weren't too pleased with the bathroom […] in the room, however, as the pocket door did not close and the shower-head and fixtures could stand to be updated. Very disapointed. Due to the delays at the airport, I arrived late. They have canceled my reservation and no room available. The reception did not show any interest in solving the problem. The only think she said is that it was my fault not informing about the late arrival... and charged "no show" for the first day. The reception just asked to wait […] until 3PM (it was about 7AM) to get the room. Very rude treatment to the guests. I have never experienced this at any other hotel. In addition to that, one of the rooms (I have reservation for two rooms for my family - 2210 and 2208) was smelling cigarretes. My impression is that the employees look like trainee that tried to show sophisticated behavior, but forgot or were not able to be more friendly with the guests. I could ignore this, but, I believe I am not wrong. I hope my opinion can contribute positively. Læs mere

The hotel was beyond our expectations. Our room was beautiful. Loved the wooden floors in the room. Very clean. Felt very secure. Always saw security driving around the facility during the day and the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was nice. We especially liked the hard wood floors in the room. The steak house restaurant was not so good. It took over 30 minutes to get our first drink during dinner. Service was very slow, food was expensive. Hot tub by the pool was cold.

It was overpriced and I was extremely disappointed. There was very little hot water, the room was not very clean (ie., A blood stained washcloth), and the neighbors partied all night even after complaining to management. I will not stay there again.

Good speed at check-in, desk personnel were attentive and courteous.

It was a lovely hotel. The only problem we had was that when we checked in, we requested to say one more night, and were told it was taken care of, but when we arrived at our room the second night, we had to go down to the lobby and reregister.

Great Hotel, Great service. Excellent location. We (mom and teenaged children) shopped, ate dinner and saw a movie,,,all after dark...and felt safe walking everywhere! Service was excellent. Our room was not ready at check-in so we were upgraded to a small suite and given a voucher for a free beverage in the bar. The room furnishings were exquisite […] and the whole place was immaculate! NO- towel racks or place to put your towels ( hanging ). Do not like my clean towels on wood strips on FLOOR! NO - bath counter space at all. CHARGE EXTRA for microwave and small refrigerator, STANDERD in almost every Hotel.

My wife, baby and I stayed 3 nights. Nice hotel with a clean room with new wood floor. Good service and people very friendly and helpful. Near to a Zpublix supermarket which is a plus. We'll consider it for a future Miami trip.

The only problem I had was with the $25 coupon to eat at the restaurant. The front desk staff did not make it clear, nor did the booking, that the $25 coupon could not be used at Shula's Steak Too (co-located with the hotel) but had to be used at Shula's. In many hotels, they will let you check in if they have a room available even though you are ahead of their check in time. Not here. That was not hospitable. In a short period of time we had three strange events. The room was completely open when we arrived. Then, someone tried to get it (thankfully we had the secure lock). The staff was very nice but the hotel was very old. The drains in our rooms were clogged and the bathroom fan didn't work. It was over priced in my opinion. I expected much more for the price we paid per night. The room was nice with wood floors but the layout of the rooms was confusing - it took us five minutes just to find our room. Bad air conditioner making loud noises. They replaced with two bad ones over two days period and still couldn't find a good one for us. We couldn't sleep for 3 nights and they said they don't have another room to move us. We were glad that we moved to ANOTHER hotel and slept really well.

Lower room near pool and guest entry made it a "Noisy area". maid - room service was very noisy in the morning. Pool area could use a face lift and hot-tub/spa wasn't not clean.

Nice hotel great location for franchise dining and evening entertainment (movie theater). Beds very soft lots of pillows. The bad... Room was located to close to banquet facilities which was being used both nights during our stay. Very loud music, crowd noise and drunken guests all night long. Security had to be called to our wing on the second night. […] Waking up the final morning was much better with about 30 senior citizens in the courtyard outside of our room doing a yoga class. At least they were quiet and they didn't seem to mind us dragging our suitcases through their session which blocked our path to the car. Hotel needs update pool area old and drap. If you go to Dolphins Game drive yourself the clerks told us cabs were easy to get . We waited 2.5 hours after game Police Had TO Order Cabs to get us. Over 100 People with No Cabs in the dark THAT STINKS . Miami not a friendly place.

I was surprised by the location a defernite stay especially if you a car really sure about public transport. Staff is very helpful from front-desk to room attendants and very polite. Area is very safe and quiet seems you walk around anywhere anytime. There is a gym,pool, wifi and parking is free and much more around the area including a cinema.

First off u have to park in this dark parking lot in the back without any security on the property, the rooms are fit for a dormitory. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for my worst enemy!!!

For a 3 star hotel, there is much lacking at Shula's Hotel. First, I was traveling with my family (wife, 2 & 4 year olds). When you entered the room the first thing to greet you was a single hot water bottle with a price tag of $3.95. There was no mini fridge and no microwave. Even the one star hotels have them. When I inquired at the front desk about […] them they told me that I had to pay extra. Breakfast was not included. They had breakfast in their expensive hotel cafe. One outing would break your bank account. The hotel did give us a coupon for Shula's Steak House for $25.00. The only problem with the coupon was that the only way to claim it was by purchasing $75.00 first. What a joke! The first day the toilet backed up and dirty water spilled. They fixed the problem quickly. If you are traveling with your family to Miami, I DO NOT RECOMMEND Don Shula's Hotel. They are renovating, so it is very noisy during the day. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere that is called Miami by the tourism bureau. You have to drive 45 minutes through heavy all day traffic to get to the beaches. For the price, you can do much better in price and services staying in Miami Beach. At least the kids can play with the sand and not with ugly looking giant plastic cows. To summit all up, Miami Lakes Shula's sucks. They should be brought down to 2 star rating. Don Shula, don't be so cheap and give the water bottle away for free. Very good hotel for price and location. However hotel restaraunt was extremely disappointing. Better options just steps out the front door. Service was poor and the food was even worse. Bar specials weren't really specials. Room was clean and beds were comfortable thou I had worried they were too soft initially. Would stay there again.

The only thing I really did not like was that the air-conditioning unit was extremely loud. I wasn't able to watch tv and have the AC running at the same time without raising the volume to what I am sure was a disturbing level.

From start to finish I have no complaints. Shared a double room with my best friend, ate at the restaurant and loved the service. Will definitely consider this hotel for my next visit.

I went to the shula with my boyfriend, we were going to the american airline arena for convention. The room was beautiful. The bathroom door was hard to open and they didn't b have room service were the only problem we saw at this hotel. Other that its a great hotel.
