The motel was in the midst of renovation but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were more than helpful. However, as we were leaving in the a.m. we found that our car had been broken into during the night. There was an attempt to siphon gas but they must have been interupted as nothing was taken. I just wish i knew the hotel was under construction. No kitchen no vending machines. Breakfast was kinda poor, cold coffee, staff had to cook everything in the same room as we ate, in a microwave and a small oven. The hotel had a full house so they ran out of roll a way beds, we needed one. Other then that it was real nice and clean.

First thing, I wish I was informed that the hotel was under construction at the time I wes there. Food was bad, no kitchen, no vending machines, no bar. The hotel was over capacity so getting a roll a way bed was impossiable. Good location for the stadiums, but not the best of neighborhoods. The location worked very well for us, close to campus, Churchill Downs and a short drive to downtown. The room was average at best. The tv remote did not work and my seven year old found hair in the shower which is gross. The hotel lobby is currently being renovated so hopefully there are more renovations coming.

We were shocked the hotel was undergoing major renovations! We did not have access to the full lobby or the regular breakfast room. The room price should have been discounted given these 2 major inconveniences. It was not reduced. Finally, the noise of the jets coming in for a landing were deafening and lasted well into the night (2:00 a.m.). Great value for the price. We stayed over to attend the second event in the Louisville Triple Crown of running - the Rodes City 10K. Lots of other runners were there, as it is conveniently located near both downtown, where the race started, and the interstates. Even though the hotel was undergoing some remodeling work, the place was orderly, overall, […] with a wonderful fittness facility and pool. The breakfast was generous -- eggs, hash browns, waffles, and the ususal items. The breakfast room lady was extremely courteous and helpful, as were the desk folks. We enjoyed it! Læs mere

Our stay was good, but upon registering for the Hotel they did not list that it was under construction and that the breakfast was being served out of a secondary room that was well sorry to say not in good condition. The food was not kept up, trays to lay the serving spoons were nasty and we had to reuse many times on different foods. Door keys would […] hardly work and to repeat action 3-4 times to get into the rooms and the pool area well had to be let in my hotel maintance 4 times because my key card would not work. Other than none of our room appliances working, this was a great and cheaper way to visit Louiville. Breakfast was horrible, but service was nice and everyone was very freindly. They did everything they could to be helpful. No working TV, no working telephone to the front desk, and no working fridge but it could have just been a fluke.

Excellent staff, clean room, relaxing lobby and common area, sold breakfast and daily nibbles when you return after a long day. Only issue: the hotel is right below the airport runway. If your not a light sleeper I highly recommend it.

Spent two nights on business, and thought that the room and hotel were very nice. The rates were good, the staff was very pleasant and helpful, and the room was very nice and comfortable.

Room was nice and clean. People were freindly and helpfull. Would stay here again.

This hotel was just what we needed... Near the airport, but was very quiet. Also our room was right next to the elevators and it was very quiet. The room was spacious and clean. My only complaint with the room was the air conditioner, it seemed to have trouble keeping cool on a very hot day of our stay. The breakfast was quite good. Food was fresh and […] nice selection. Hotel cleaning staff does not adequately notify guests when outside room for cleaning, and they leave early. Hotel room equipment required replacing, and delay in replacing due to lack of adequate staffing. Suite was allowed only one phone (either in front area or bedroom.

The only issues we had in the hotel were: I found a used wash cloth hanging over the shower curtain rod. Would have been easy to miss since the rod is about 7 foot high. The bed was not very comfortable, and the clorine level in the pool area was so high it burned our eyes just being in the area. On the up side... The staff was very friendly and helpful. […] The rooms were nice and the breakfast was very good. Was very easy to find just off of I-65. Overall it was a nice stay. Hotel was clean and breakfast was good, plenty of food, only problem that we had was instead of two beds there was a pull out sofa.

We were in town for an event at the Expo Center and this could not have been more convenient. It is located outside gate 4 which was never busy as it is not the main entrance. We weren't looking for a luxury hotel, just a clean place to sleep at night and a fridge. We actually made use of the microwave for leftovers too so that was convenient. My only […] complaint was the bed was a little firm for my liking - still slept fine, but was a little stiff in the morning. We stayed 3 nights. Not much interaction with the staff, but the ones we talked to were nice. Would definitely recommend for vacation travelers who want a nice, inexpensive hotel to crash at night. This hotel is in a location that is just a few blocks from many attractions. We were visiting for a swim meet and it was about 5 minutes from the pool, so it worked out great. When you arrive at the hotel, you may think the area is not that great, but the stuff around it is part of a fairgrounds and makes for a nice quite area. The rooms were clean […] and nice. I have stayed at a few Country Inns in the past and they were very nice. This one is a little worst for the wear. I stayed in room 329. The bathroom had mold in the shower the ceiling in the bath was falling in from a leak above. The carpet and furniture were dirty. The heat worked great and the breakfast was fairly good. I have stayed at a Country Inn before, and although it was nice as well, this particular one was beyond comparison. If all of them were like this particular one, then Country Inn will always be my choice in a town where located. I was extremely satisfied with every phase of this hotel!

The hotel staff was very friendly and the room, hallway & common areas were clean and well kept. The only minor complaint (very minor) was that the dining room was very warm, almost uncomfortable. Food was good.

Nice hotel, but the mattress on the pull-out sofa was the worst I have ever seen. Two adults slept on it and could barely walk the next morning.

very clean and very friendly but the beds and the breakfast arent the best.

Carpet was dirty, fridge never got cold, extra blanket had a hole in it, towels were like burlap bags, desk chair had such a deep seat from over use you could harldy get out of it. Dirty laundry and cleaning cart was left in the hall for 24 hours, still there when we left. The breakfast was a joke. Food was bad, no one there to take care of it, no forks […] or coffee cups. Good thing it was included in the price, even free it was not worth it. We are gold members, staying at country suites everytime we travel, never again at this one. The place was awful. Would love to be able to get my money back as I feel I could have set the money on fire and felt better about it. Læs mere

We had a great stay. The only problem was out AC was not working the first night. We told the front desk in the morning and they had someone right up to the room. When we got back to the room after a long day at the fair it was fixed and felt super!! Nice breakfast too.

We were very surprised to find how lovely this hotel was. Outside, there is a spacious veranda with swings and comfy chairs. Inside, the service was speedy and professional. The real surprise came when we opened the door to our room. The room was huge with an extremely comfortable bed. The furniture was appropriate for the size of the room...included […] a wingback chair with an ottoman and an office chair in the same style. The flat tv had an excellent picture and the remote was simple. The room was clean and the maid service in and out. We did not use the pool or the weight room but did go in and both were clean and under-used. I highly recommend this hotel. We used AAA rates. Læs mere

We liked everything with the exception of the shower head, toilet did not want to flush good and they need a list of the tv channels in the room. Also would love if they had an outdoor swimming pool. Over all, we enjoyed our stay there. The staff was very pleasant and loved the swings out front.
