Beautiful scenery and quaint cabin room. As we drove up to our cabin there were deer grazing in the field. Comfortable bed, fridge and microwave all handy. The restaurant was closed for a private function, but takeout was available. Excellent location away from town.

It was fine, if a little far from Jasper. The proximity to the highway makes it a bit noisy, but we didn't find that a big problem.

unfortunately in is in the park boundaries and you have to pay the park fees to the federal government, unfortunately this is a down fall if you are looking at costs

We loved the cabins at Pocohontas. We had a "delux" cabin with a small kitchen. They are a little on the small side so finding a place to put suitcases, etc, would be a challenge if you had more than 2 people or are staying for more than a couple of days. The grounds (from what we could tell under the snow) are nice with an outdoor hottub (open year […] round) and pool (open in the summer). There are trails nearby and it's conveniently right off the park boundary. However, if you want to go to town or anywhere in the park, it is bit of a drive. My guy likes to snowboard and it is an hour drive to Marmot and a half hour to town from the cabiins. Læs mere

The cabin was cozy and clean. The bed was awfully uncomfortable and I felt the staff would have treated me better had I not been a shaggy haired young man. I was simply enjoying a weekend with my wife, and not, as the attitude of the front manager suggested, looking to smash your t.v.'s through a window.

This is the first time that I've stayed at Pocahontas Cabins and I was not disappointed. Located just past the West entrance to Jasper National Park, it is surrounded by mountains and is only a 20 min drive to the town of Jasper. The season that I went was in the fall, and being the "off season" the site was quiet and relaxing; however, the mini golf […] and pool were closed (but thankfully the hot tub remains open). Being right by the highway, you occasionally get the road noise of passing vehicles, but it does not diminish the stay at all. At night, if the sky is clear, it is a treat to sit on the porch and take in the experience. My accommodations was that of the Delux Cabin and it is cozy. I would say that it is good for a small group, say 3-4 people, two persons per bed (one of them being the hide-a-bed). It also has a small kitchen stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, of which I made good use of the kettle making hot cocoa for the cool nights. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about various activities that you can partake on. There are also many trails around the site for those who like easy to moderate levels of hiking. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there and would not hesitate to go back. I highly recommend it for those who want a relaxing place that is away from it all. Læs mere

The cabin was clean, new and comfortable with fairly reasonable rates. The staff was very polite and helpful. Spectacular mountain views from the deck of our cabin. The outdoor pool (30 c) and hot tub were the perfect temperature, also with a great mountain view. The restaurant food was excellent. A short scenic drive to Jasper. Area was remote but worth the trip, however there were no directions to help you find the location. Pleasant cabins with many amenities including a resturant which served good food.

Nice place, a little far out of Jasper, and for the price, there should be a complimentary breakfast, but it was not free. Restaurant was nice and reasonable prices. Rooms clean and spacious, although bathroom small and crowded.

The Cabins were very comfortable, lots to do for all members, lovely Pool and the Amenities were excellent. Enjoyed so much that I plan to return next year for a longer stay in a larger Cabin. Highly recommend this place! Loved it!!

Hotel is remote from Jasper town site. Could not close windows without removing window screens. Check in was good. Bed needs to be replaced, very hard mattress.

After spending the same amount of money for a two bedroom condominium in Canmore the previous nights, it was about the worst value I ever received in our travels. The room was small and we found garbage behind the dresser. The mosquitos were terrible and since the screens were not tight, we could not open the windows. But it was hot and without air […] conditioning the room was stifling. Everything was very old and ill equipped. Breakfast was not included. The hotel charged another rate for that. But be aware that you are 40 minutes drive from jasper and therefore you have no access to shops. The room itself did not have any cutlery, plates, etc. So we had to either drive to eat or eat at the motel restaurant. The surroundings are beautiful as everywhere in the Rockies but since you are in a low laying swamp, be aware that you have to cross through clouds of mosquitos every time you enter or leave your room. My wife and I were very pleased. The room was adequate and had all the necessary amenities. The bathroom and kitchen floors could have been cleaned better. The rug needed a good steam clean.The location was close to Jasper Alberta.

I enjoyed my stay at Pocahontas Cabins very much. The staff were very courtious and friendly and the room was quite comfortable. If your're going to jasper, check it out.

We really liked the room. With square log construction it was warm and rustic with the perfect look and feel for in the mountains.

The area was great and the pool and hot tub where perfect there was lots of things to do after a long day of hiking. The only thing I didnt like where the beds where so old it was like sleeping on planks and the bedding looked like it was from the 70s. But overall a good place and close to jasper and the hot springs.

The cabin was fine but the sofa was old and soiled. The maintenance was poor as sink did not drain well and batteries were dead in the remote. Bed was bad.

the hotel room smelled musty/smokey. i was looking forward to a nice shower after skiing the day and had poor water pressure in a dimly lit washroom with only a very little window for ventilation. my partner and i found the bed very uncomfortable and the room we were in was farthest away from the front desk and any facilities..the room served its purpose, […] however there was nothing of note to bring me back... We had a good stay, The only problem wwas that the row of cabins westayed in were to close to the road. We had rod noise, going on most of the night. Had to wear ear plugs to get to sleep. Other than that, it was a good stay.

The hotel advertised these cabins to be in town called Jasper in Canada. But actually it is 42 km away in wilderness with nothing else around except main highway. The hotel also advertised free local calls and wifi access but there was no phone in the room and the internet only works in the main office, which is far from the rooms. The shower was made […] of flimsy plastic and the toilet tank was plugged with a toothbrush. When we could not flush they did send a man to unplug the toilet. We enjoyed our overnight stay at the Pocohontas Cabins. Our room (2 double beds) was small and the bathroom in particular was small. Everything was clean. The recreation room was good. No internet access in the cabins. In the rec room there was internet, but very slow.

This is a nice place to visit. It's only draw back is it is close to the highway and there is more road noise than we like. HOwever, the people are very nice the cabin is quaint and it is a great place to access many things in the park.

This place has cabins of varying sizes and some conjoining rooms in somewhat of a a hotel forrmat. It is several miles outside the town of Jasper and there is NOTHING around it except wilderness. There is great wildlife nearby; we saw elk and mountain sheep along the road. Unfortunately, it also has very agresssive mosquitoes. It is a throwback to the […] old resorts of the post-WWII era. There is a decent pool and beautiful new hot tub, and an excellent restaurant with very slow service because they are understaffed all around. They are very friendly and helpful. The bed was a bit bumpy, the shower a free-standing smallish stall, no a/c (you really do not need it) and overall it was clean and did the job, although it was very rustic and aged. But it is sitting in a pretty remote place, so there is nothing to beat it unlesss you want to be in downtown Jasper, which is up to the tastes of the traveller. Læs mere
