I'd return to this hotel for the price that was offered. The breakfast had limited variety.

For the price, I didn't expect a 5-star resort. I don't go on vacation to spend all my time in a hotel room. It is literally just a place to sleep and keep my stuff, hopefully in a neighborhood where I'm not going to get robbed. This place fit the bill. It was priced right, neat on the outside and fairly clean inside our room (it was a smoking room, […] so there were a few burns here and there). It came well stocked w/shampoo, coffee (which was pretty bad), a clean bathroom...the towels were clean and even folded into shapes. It was in what looked like a decent neighborhood, had lots of food/basic shopping places in the near vicinity. I booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. How could that be???

Great for a short stop when driving from SF to LA, Good shopping options in surrounding area. Room had good size and was clean. The staff was nice and helpful.

Hotel is located close to many amenities. It was an aveage hotel that could use a little upkeep but it was clean enough.

Would not go there unless you have no other choice as was our case.

I too was expecting the worst from the reviews I had read. It does need some work, but it was clean and comfortable. Went down for their breakfast at 7am, but the door was locked. Didn't look that good so we just left.

The room was plenty large enough, however, the carpet was nasty. The heat unit looked to be about 40 years old. You could not regulate the heat because the control did not have a face plate to know what to set the heat on. There appeared to have no air conditioning, thank goodness we didn't need the air. Because we just needed a hotel room for one nght, this was an adequate 2 Star hotel. There's stains on the carpeting, but it was vacuumed. Even has a frig & Microwave. The pulsating showerhead was wnderufl!

My family and I were very happy with our stay at this hotel. To tell the truth, after reading some of the reviews, I almost cancelled our reservation, but decided not to in the end. My only complaint was during the morning, when it started to rain, there was a loud clicking sound coming out of the heater--don't know what caused it, but it was annoying. Hotel is clean and staff very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is in much need of an update/remodel.

This is exactly what you would expect for the cheap price.

We were the only that stayed there. No one was there. No good breakfast. The coffee pot was so small it could bearly make coffe for 2 people. The only thing they had for breakfast to eat was 4-5 Danishes which seem so old. When I was checking out in morning no one was in the office( no one is ever in the office at any time of the day) I stood out at […] the side in the pouring rain buzzing and buzzing and buzzing no one came until after a while I phone them. For the price I paid per night, I didn't expect much. But I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant and friendly. My room was big and had a refrigerator and microwave as well as a coffee maker. I wasn't expecting any of that. The hotel is old and the outside hallways are exposed to weather so it didn't surprise me […] that there were stains on the floors and a slight damp smell. Inside the room there were some stains on the carpet but everything else was clean and neat. Bathroom was clean and water heated up quickly for a nice shower. TV is a little small but I wasn't here to watch TV anyway. Overall, great price for a decent place to stay and very convenient to where I was going. It was fine for the price. No AC and no swimming pool. The front desk was very nice and we decided to stay there again despite the lack of AC and the unusually hot weather at that time of year.

It was a pathetic stay in AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN @ Lompoc, CA. AVOID IT AT ANY COST room wasnt as expected - 1. heater wasn't working 2. shower was bad and congested 3. towels weren't clean 4. there wasn't any breakfast table. it was just a small sofa place, where all the guests were crowded around for a muffin & a flask with coffee. not at all a […] continental breakfast by any means Læs mere

Think they were charging a higher rate because the dog show in town but, they advertised a continental breakfast which consist of packages muffins and that was it, and coffee. At least they could have provided fresh sweet rolls or something.

Too much noise from adjacant room due to lack of sound proofing. Advertised Continential Breakfast was a pot of coffee with muffins in a basket. Room size was OK, but the bed was almost as hard as the floor. Stayed there because it was the only rooms left because of short booking time.

The hotel was located close to dining, stores, and the theater; however, its unfriendly, unclean atmosphere made it an unbearable situation. The Hotel was dirty,smelled and needs a new rug, their was no heat. I called at 2:00 in the morning when we arrived to inform them that their was no heat and they didn't seem to care. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. It's not worth the amount they charged.

Bed was hard, pillows were flat. Overhead light to bathroom mirror did not work. Stained carpet and room smelled like mold. Broken drawer on nightstand. Overall it seemed this hotel lacked basic maintenance and cleaning. Would not recommed staying here!

Was afraid to walk around without shoes on as carpet was so dirty. Bathroom paint was peeling and door had been kicked in. This is a one star hotel at most.
