Vi var meget tifredse med hotellet, en af de pæneste jeg har boet på i London. Flot, stort og rent og meget rimeligt i pris, og ufatteligt centralt lige over for stationen Gloucester Road i hyggeligt kvarter i Kensington. Vi fik først værelse med dobbeltseng, men da vi var to veninder, spurgte vi om de havde et twin som bestilt - og fik så det fedeste værelse, dobbelt så stort, ingen støj, kæmpe badeværelse - virkelig god service og hyggelig hotelbar og lobby. Ville klart anbefale det og bo der igen.

Det ligger tæt på the tube, både Lancaster gate men også Paddington. Ikke noget prangende hotel, men hvem kan også forvente det til denne pris.

Værelset var rent - og meget bekvemt med det lille køkken. Dog savnede jeg mulighed for filterkaffe, der var en lille stempelkande, som efterlod kaffen med meget grums, næste gang tager jeg egen filter og trakt med. Jeg var heldig med stort vindue ud mod vejen. Jeg nød meget at være på værelset. Der er ingen lounge eller fællesareal, men venlig betjening fra den lille reception under trappen. Beliggenheden er perfekt, på stille og smuk vej, og Notting Hill Gate og alle nødvendige butikker lige om hjørnet. Jeg kommer igen.
Placering.
Holiday Inn London Camden Lock ligger i hjertet af London og er tæt på Londons zoologiske have, Det Britiske Bibliotek og King's Cross. I nærheden er også Royal Academy of Music og Madame Tussauds voksmuseum.

Godt hotel, selvom vi ikke brugte andre faciliteter end værelset. God morgen mad i nærliggende cafeer - prøvede ikke hotellets restaurant pga prisen. Camden er et område der har alt - og det tager kun 10. min med undergrundsbanen til London centrum.

Location, location, location... Nice hotel in very special London area. Camden is actually too busy during the day time - with too many street market sellers selling the same items - but a night it transforms into a vibrant area with lots of good restuarants, bars, music venues etc. Tube station is close by and it takes only 3 stops to reach Oxford […] Circus. Synes det var et fint standart hotel - men forstår ikke hvorfor wireless internet skal koste penge. Faktisk var det gratis da vi kom - og om aftenen havde de så lige opgraderet systemet - så 8GBP pr. døgn - det er en ommer.

Selv om hotellet ikke lå i den centrale London, var der kort til Metroen og på 10 minutter var man på Oxford Street.

Great place to stay, very good for exploring and shopping in Camden. Good to be able to leave luggage early before booking into room.Only a short tube ride from St Pancras station and good tube link to the theatres. Would certainly stay again.

"Excellent location and great hotel"
We stayed here as we were going to the Electric Ballroom and wanted somewhere convenient for Camden and its sights. Because of having hotels.com rewards saved up we managed to get a Penthouse Suite for just taxes and fees which was great. The room was bright and airy and had a balcony overlooking the lock which in the summer would be great. Even on […] a dull February day it was pretty nice though! Check-in was fast and effortless although there was a mix up with the booking details it didn't cause us any inconvenience. Wi-Fi is chargeable but we didn't bother and having a suite meant that we had a couple of extras such as free water and a Kit Kat (spoilt, I know!). The room itself was nice a large and very clean. The bathroom was very good with a large separate shower which I much prefer, although the water pressure wasn't up to much. The room seemed quiet and the air con worked perfectly. I assume it was quite quiet to get back to, but seeing as we didn't get back until 4am I think pretty much everywhere would be quiet at that time. We had room service which was OK. I've had worse and I've had better but the choice was pretty good and it seemed reasonably priced. All in all, I think this is a great hotel, it has an outstanding location and, as with all Holiday Inns, you know what you're going to get, but with an upgraded room, it felt a bit more individual which made a nice change from the norm in a chain hotel. the staff was very nice, especially the restaurant personnel, and in particular, a lady named Michaela, who was very accomodating in seeing that our breakfast table was serviced well. however, I was disappointed in having to pay 25GBP for 'early checkin' when there was a room available and we were travelling from an overnight flight from the US.............considering […] what our room rate was per nite, it seemed a bit "over the top" for the hotel to charge for this service. there was a noticeable lack of body lotion in the bathroom, which is very standard in other hotels I've stayed at in both United States and Europe and I don't know why the hotel doesn't supply complimentary tubes of it, as I had to purchase some nearby. Would definitely stay here again, brilliant location with lots of bars and restaurants close by. Helpful staff and the room was immaculate & clean. We got a great price through Hotels.com too.
"The Penthouse Suite is amazing"
This was our second time at Holiday Inn Camden Lock and we absolutely love it. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating. We had a small party on our terrace and they provided all the glasses and plates we needed. It is a bit higher in price (not bad for London), but I highly recommend the Penthouse Suites. "Holiday Inn Camden - Great Location; ok amenities"
The location of this hotel is great and it was one of the few hotels in the area. Easy to get to the tube and great for local shopping. There were some inconveniences about the amenities though; for internet, you could only purchase in 24 hour increments so every day I had to go to the front desk to get a new access code. This was also the only hotel […] that took a photocopy of my passport and kept it with my file. One day the maid service didn't leave any towels and I had to ask for them, and the Kleenex ran out every day. Getting a cab was sort of strange in that they booked a private car hire and when the car arrived I was then encouraged to book to the airport rather than to the train destination. While it wasn't a bad suggestion, it just seemed like the hotel got kick backs for upselling the trip. Finally, upon check out, my bill was incorrect and they had to redo it. "Service was excellent."
I was struck by a cyclist my first afternoon in London. I awoke the next morning feeling extremely ill. The hotel staff was absolutely amazing. They called an ambulance and stayed with my family while the EMT's examined me in case anyone needed anything. When it was determined I needed to go to the emergency room (I was diagnosed with a mild concussion), […] the hotel manager on duty at the time (Giovanni) gave his personal cell phone to my two teenage daughters so they would be able to stay in contact with my husband who accompanied me to the hospital. The staff, especially Giovanni, went above and beyond the requirements of their jobs. They were helpful, friendly, and very professional. I cannot say enough about Giovanni and his staff. I didn't want to leave! I would most highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to London! Læs mere
"Good Service; No Air-Conditioning"
It was unusually hot in London, and even though the thermostat has a setting as low as 13.5C, the actual room temp was closer to 26C (78F), with weak air circulation. Our chocolate bars even melted! The staff seemed genuinely concerned, and management even offered to upgrade our rooms (although those were not much cooler). Many European hotels are like […] this, but it was disappointing and uncomfortable nonetheless. All hotel personnel were helpful and responsive. The hotel is undergoing an upgrade, so we actually received a large new HD TV screen while there. On the other hand, Internet service is not free, and it's a bit erratic logging in. The location is very good. It's walking distance to a Tube stop, and all the wonderful Camden street markets. You can even walk along a canal to the Zoo. Overall, I would recommend the hotel, but I would warn you not to stay there if you plan to be there during warm weather (unless you don't care), or at least suggest that you request a room on a lower floor. "Great Hotel!"
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights recently whilst he was working in a nearby area of London so chose this hotel as it was convenient location and good value. We had a Penthouse King room on the top floor. The views of Camden lock and the rest of London were amazing. The room itself was very nice, although not huge, but the outdoor patio with […] table and chairs and the floor to ceiling windows with the views more than made up for that! Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was good-sized with separate shower and fresh, clean and modern. Only thing I would say is that a more modern plasma TV would have been nice, but other than that everything perfect. Also, the staff were extremely friendly and always said "Hello" and made you feel welcome. The interesting location is brilliant for bars and restaurants with a great atmosphere and it is a quick tube journey or bus route to the centre. Would definitely recommend this fabulous hotel and will stay here again without hesitation! Læs mere

this hotel was just perfect 4 our needs, it was locatd near the nor thern line so easy access 2 everywhere! However i wudnt walk the area alone at night! But if ur going with a grp of friends its gr8! Wud also recomend the wetherspoons nxt dr!
"Very nice good location but slightly too warm room"
Location is just GREAT. Staff is really very helpful, clean rooms, good mini gym for workout. But the rooms are a bit to hot. Had to turn on the aircon several times during the night. Having them turned on the whole night is never good for the throat. Overall rating is a really nice hotel.

Noisy, not in a good location to get to central London tourist attractions. On the third night of my stay the fire alarm went off twice. The fee to use internet was excessive and was charged for minibar items that I did not use. I called down to the reception desk to ask for help with the in-room movie and after speaking to two different employees (one […] being the night manager) I did not get the help I requested and they were rude. "Fabulous Location"
Overall stay was execellent, staff were very accomodating and helpfull. Location on the lock is fabulous. The open air markets were fantastic, and there are plenty of good eating establishments within the immediate surrounding area's, also has excellent transport conections to the center of london which is 10 minutes away. "Service has to improve"
I stayed here for 4 nights and then after a week i stayed again for one night before catching my flight. This hotel is in great location for tube station, shopping, market, restaurant, etc., Hotel is clean and good. Breakfast is good and good service. However, there are some big concerns with people running the hotel: 1) Aircondition did not work and […] from the responses i got i believe they knew about it but still put guests in that room. They fixed it the next day morning. 1) they want to make money on everything. Even for one baggage they insist to help with a bellboy and make money. 2) during my 2nd stay, the coffee maker is so rusted that you wont use it. 3) During my first stay, coffee maker was so-so.... if we ask for creamer for coffee maker then they would deliver room service milk and charge you, instead of just giving the creamer I can only think that they are trying to make money off the guests in whatever small ways they can. I think they should just charge extra for the room rate and leave the guests with peace of mind. If you are traveling with kids, this may not be the place to stay. Læs mere
"Noise Problem"
I liked the hotel room because it was very comfortable with excellent linens. The view from our "loch-view room" was limited on the 1st floor, but excellent on the 4th floor. I did not like the room because the pub beside the hotel is extremely noisy, thus we were unable to sleep until after 1 a.m. each night. On the third night of our stay, the fire […] alarm sounded and then went silent. I called the front desk. They said, "nothing to worry about." Several minutes later, the fire alarm sounded again. We evacuated at 1:30 a.m. because, they claimed, someone had been smoking in a room and only the fire dept. can reset a hotel's alarm system. All this only one day after i got lost in the halls and found myself trying to exit under a fire exit sign. There was no sign claiming i would set off an alarm, so i attempted to exit through that door. The door was jammed from the other side. The wind had blown a large heavy rubber mat against the fire exit door. During the evacuation, i noticed a family with 2 toddlers exiting that same doorway. Mycket trevligt hotell och personal. Eftersom frukosten var ganska dyr hoppade vi över den och åt ute på cafe istället. Mycket bra standard jämfört med tidigare erfarenheter av engelska hotell!

Läget är bra på hotellet. 5 minuter från Northern Line tunnelbana. 35 minuters gångväg från Madame Tassaud. Inga byten för att ta sig till London Eye och Big Ben. Ett byte till Emirates Stadium. Fantastisk bra, eneste som trekker litt ned var en litt 'iverig' vaske dame som absolutt skulle begynne å vaske rommet 30 min før utsjekking, men ellers et sted å anbefale om du liker deg i camden !

J'avais choisi cet hôtel pour sa situation décrite au coeur de Camden et je n'ai pas été déçue. Accompagnée de 2 jeunes (16 et 20ans), j'aurais préférée un cadre plus typique (Holiday Inn reste froid et standard comme chaîne hôtelière), mais j'ai fait confiance aux commentaires lus sur le net et à la situation décrite. RAS en revanche sur le "brunch" […] annoncé divin à 11h... L'hôtel n'a même pas compris ce qu'on lui demandait ! En fait il s'agit "simplement" du petit déjeuner qui est aussi copieux à 7h qu'à 11h... Et qui se termine à 11h ! En revanche j'ai découvert et particulièrement apprécié ce quartier avec eux qui en sont repartis enchantés. Hôtel particulièrement bien situé si on souhaite visiter ce quartier de Londres. Læs mere
