My husband and I are both hoteliers in the US so we have fairly discriminating tastes relative to hotels, but when traveling abroad we really only care about cleanliness, security and most importantly LOCATION. This hotel has all of those things. We had an excellent location where we could easily walk to all the sites, shopping and dining. The staff […] was very pleasant and helpful including directions and booking transport back to the airport. There was a presence of staff and security throughout the day/night that made us feel safe on an otherwise busy, city street in Rome. The general maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel was very good. The room size was very small and traditional in taste, but to be expected given the age of the city and hotel. For us it met our needs as a place to convene for sleep and showering. If you are looking for much more in a room, this isn't really the place. For those that take in the city and all it has to offer on your trip and don't spend a lot of time in the room . . . this will meet all your needs at a very reasonable price point. Læs mere

The hotel was in a good location within walking distance of the Colloseum. The rooms are small but modern and the bathrooms are extremely spacious compared to most bathrooms in hotels in Europe. If you need WiFi good luck getting a connection in your hotel room though. They stated they offered wifi but our signal would drop often both on our computer […] and on our smart phones. Læs mere

Long wait at check in but friendly staff. Included breakfast not served until after 8, which was too late for us trying to catch a train to the airport. Exelent hotel in good central position.

We spent 3 nights at the Eurostars International Palace, Nov. 18-21, 2011. We rented both a double and a twin bed room and the double seemed to be a little larger or had a better floor plan. But, it is an old European-style hotel and by American standards the rooms are small. Both rooms showed heavy wear & tear in the carpeting, a minor complaint. The […] location is excellent for walking to most of the points of interest in the old city. The free continental breakfast was fine, except that the scrambled eggs were very runny on Sunday as the staff tried to keep up with a full house. One major complaint was that when we asked for ice the front desk told us it was available at the restaurant, but when we went there we were told there was no ice. Perhaps the machine was broken, but that should not have persisted for 3 days. We averaged $210 or so per room, a good price for downtown in a big city. There is a 3 Euro per person per night Rome city tax added on at check out. Læs mere

Room was small. No eiglish TV ( no BBC or CNN) I found this unusual for a 4 star hotel, Location was good.

I travel 5 days a week and this hotel exceded my expectation. Cretrally located, great staff, fantastic buffett. Great value for the money.

We were not at the hotel much but it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We did not eat at the hotel. My husband went out and got us coffee and the most wonderful biscotti every morning at a little place around the corner - behind the hotel. Much cheaper than the 15 Euro they wanted to charge us for hotel breakfast!

We stayed in several hotels throughout Italy and this was one of the nicer ones. It was a good location, away from the hustle and bustle of Rome but close enough to be able to walk or catch a bus or metro.

The hotel is conveniently located and about 0.7 km from the Termini station. The rooms are clean though extremely small. The carpets in the common area are a still dusty. The reception staff is a little cold and typically there are just two of them surrounded by a bunch of people who have arrived....so be prepared to wait to check-in and check-out. […] The place offers free internet but you have to ask the reception when you check-in for the wireless userid and password. They do not tell you about it or offer it on their own. Also, while the hotel is on Via Nazionale, there is surprisingly no food joints around to grab a bite or even a cup of coffee. Overall a good value for the price if you can choose to ignore the coldness of the reception desk. Læs mere

The title says it all. Via Nazionale was perfect to catch buses to other locations, to stroll for shops or coffee spots. Walking distance to everything. The modern room was clean and neat - small but nothing more is needed in the hotel room. The bathrooms were spacious, bigger shower than most Italian hotels. Free internet and the reception will print […] for you! While the staff was not overly helpful, they were just fine, and we came knowing what we wanted to do, which was good. This hotel is located perfectly to see the sights of Rome! It's close to train station, a taxi stand is one block away. We were able to walk to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Trevi Fountain is close. We took a cab to the Vatican to catch the early tour there but walked back, catching Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Trevi fountain. The hotel has air, […] which was welcome as we visited in August. We ( 2 families with one child each) stayed at this Hotel at the end of July in 2 seperate rooms with double beds. It has very clean, the bathrooms were modern with hairdryers, clean towels and sheets. It was very convinient located and it was a 5 minute walk to the major tour buses that take you thru Rome with hop on and off stops. Across the hotel […] is a wonderful breakfast place (they speak english) serving scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and a great cappucino. It is a great place to start your day. Make sure to get tickets to the Coloseum and other attractions online before you arrive, you will not need to wait in line for hours. Just go up to the front line to a seperate entrance. Also get a 24 hour ticket to one of the tour buses and stay on them for a round trip, sit in the open air bus on top in the front row. A round trip is 1 1/2 hours long with a 20 minute stop at the vatican bus stop. Make sure to take an umbrella or hat, sunglasses and water with you. Rome is awesome!!! We will definetly stay at this hotel again next time we are in Rome!!!!!!! Læs mere

Extremely small room - even for Europe standards, AC broke during our second night there and it took them 24 hr to repair, the hotel looked more like a students hostel than a 4 stars hotel. Didn't have enough towels in the room - only had one towel even when our reseervation was for two persons. We could hear noise from adjacent rooms and hallway. We stayed at this hotel twice once from June 26-28 and again July 11-13. Our irst room was clean and modern but so small my husband and I were literally tripping over each and the bags. When we checked out in June we told the person at the front desk that we were coming back in 2 weeks and if at all possible we wouldl ike a bigger room and/or one with […] a view. We returned on 11 July and were given a room with a main street view and it was HUGE even by American standards. I initially thought we had won the lotto. On closer inspection the room was dated and dirty. On my mattress I could feel every spring. The cover on the bed smelled dusty so I removed it and when I dropped it in a corner a cloud of dust went up! WIth that cover over the sheets they also smelled of dust. The bathroom was a tub with a hand held shower head, no curtain or door just a should high piece of plexiglass that was about 2 feet wide. Needless to say we flooded the bathroom every shower. The carpet was worn and frayed in spots and I imagine just as dusty as the comforter! There was a hole in the wall where it looks like they replace the hairdryer with a different model. Certainly not an American 4 star resort. However, what this hotel lacked in cleanliness it made up for in location. The bus stop is literally across the street to catch the bus to the Vatican. It's an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain and many other sights in Rome. It is directly on a main street where there is lots of shopping and places to catch a bite to eat. There is even a supermarket right across the street. I said I would recommend this hotel to others because of the location and the front desk staff who were very patient and always helpful. I would however hesitate if I was looking for somewhere just to wait on a flight or a cruise and possibly look somewhere else. Læs mere

We loved the central location of the hotel. It was virtually in the core of the city and only 4 blocks to train station. Our room was quiet and cool and roomy enough for us and our granddaughter, age 12. The bath was spacious and well appointed. We stayed at the Eurostars International Palace for 4 nights to check out the sights of Rome. The hotel was in a good location in relation to the major attractions and metro line. Breakfast was great value for the price and included a wide variety of food options ranging from traditional Italian to stereotypical American. However hotel decor was aged […] and poorly maintained, owner needs to understand that classic decor and style is only appropriate if well maintained otherwise it is just old and dirty! Standard rooms are small. First room they gave us had a faulty air conditioner. They moved us to a 2nd room directly below it. The roof leaked during the night but the airconditioner worked, the bidet wouldn't empty either. They upgraded us to a better room, air conditioner worked, the faucet wouldn't empty until I removed the stopper. Altogther maintanence […] is a problem Læs mere

I had stayed here once before and chose it again to stay with my friends who were travelling Europe. We had a triple room that was spacious enough for the 3 of us to be comfortable. The room was kept clean and it was excellent to have a mini fridge available during the hot weather. We were on the side of the hotel facing the busy Via Nazionale but […] we had no problems with traffic noise and slept well each night. The hotel is in an excellent position to explore Rome as it is near the Termini station as well as Reppublica Metro stop. The walk into the historic centre is also very easy and we walked for most of our stay. Staff are friendly and helpful and we were able to leave our bags securely in the hotel after checking out and collected them again before leaving Rome. I would use this hotel again. Læs mere

As long as you don't plan on spending lots of time in your room, this place is perfect. Great location, very clean and modern, good value. Tiny room, but who cares when you're in Rome?

The room was falling apart, the closet door and the shower doors would not open and close properly. We informed the desk and maintance came up but still did not repair properly. No Coffee in teh room! No coffee in the lobby, you either had to pay for breakfast or leave the Hotel for coffee in the morning.

Very nice experience staying in Rome for the very first time. Free internet - nice benefit. Only negative is upon arrival when we asked where the gym was was we were told that it was under renovations and would be finished sometime 'next month' which was a disappointment. All front desk people speak enough English that we were fine.

The online pictures are decieving. The hotel is right on a busy street with a major bus line running in front. There is no onsite coffee unless you buy breakfast and at check out I was told that there was a 15 Euro city tax charge that had to be paid in cash only. Hotel is nice and clean. Location is pretty central. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only negative was that the room was tiny!! For the price we paid we expected more.

This hotel is situated just about midway between the major sights of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and the Vatican complex. Everything is easily reachable by foot or metro. I HIGHLY recommend getting a Roma Pass (25 Euros in March 2011)) which takes care of all metro travel and entry into 2 of your first major site visits. Our first 2 were the Colosseum […] and the Roman Forum. The hotel was of excellent quality. The only thing that was a minor drawback, and you will see this throughout European travel, is the open air shower with the half door. This arrangement always allows for water to collect on the bathroom floor outside of the shower. So as long as you know that going into it, take reasonable precautionary measures, and realize you're on vacation in Rome - WHO CARES! One other thing to point out is that the neighborhood where this hotel is located is quite safe and there are many shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The only drawback to the room (besides that it was a bit over my budget) was that it was TINY. I mean, barely enough room to move tiny. However, it was modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful, and it was located within walking distance of major attractions and shopping. This hotel is centrally located. It is definitely for tourists, but that has its perks. It does lack a little charm. The rooms are a good size and clean and the wifi is free as advertised, something that was not always true in Italy. It is a good solid choice.

Very nice hotel, awesome location, friendly personnel. Highly recommended!

I am a frequent traveller to Rome because my girlfriend lives there. This hotel was extremely convenient for us since she works only a few hundred meters from it. The room was always made for us every day and the facilities were clean and orderly. GOOD HOTEL.

We selected this hotel because of it's location and star rating. It was a great central location! We walked or took the metro everywhere and it was easy to do from this locaiton. The hotel was great, but there is a lot of disparity between rooms. We needed 2 rooms and one was roomy and the other was tiny ... both were the same price. Ironically, the […] tiny room was for 2 people and the spacious room was for 1 person. The room for one person had a larger bed (queen or king size) with room to walk around on all sides, a reasonably sized bathroom, a desk and a mini fridge. The room for 2 people had a double bed,no walking/standing room, tiny bathroom, NO desk and NO fridge. Word of advice ... not all rooms/beds are alike, if you think there your room is too smal, ask for a larger one! Læs mere

Very clean and modern hotel in a very busy city. The rooms were a little small however very pleasant. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful with any questions we had.

The Hotel was extremely clean and a Courteous professional staff. The Location is right in the heart of Rome close to all tourist sites, Metro, and Termini train station. The Room was what you'd expect of a European Hotel, smaller than most American rooms but very clean and comfortable. The only issue was a very minor problem with the automatic lighting […] system in the room, but not a huge inconvenience. we actually left our camera in the room and called from the airport fully expecting to chalk it up as a loss, but the staff located it and are in the process of shipping back to us. The bedroom was absolutely tiny, by far the smallest space I've ever had to cram myself into in a hotel, and more than I would normally pay for the priviledge. I was travelling alone, but this was supposed to be a double room for single use - if there had been anyone else in there with me we would have been fighting for oxygen! There was no room to […] fir even a small desk and every time I shuffled past the end of the bed to get into the bathroom (which couldn't accomodate a door becauuse it would have either banged the end of the bed one way or the toilet the other) I bashed my shin on the bed. The bed itself was as hard as concrete, I woke up at 4am aching all down the side on which I was sleeping. The sheets were threadbare, old and a horrible dirty brown colour. Even for Central Rome it was expensive, the building itself is nice but you don't get to experience any of that, you just feel trapped in a tiny room befitting a hostel. Will definitely not be returning and I would urge anyone to avoid. Læs mere

Delightful hotel, very efficient service and lovely clean rooms with an old Italian charm. Could not be better positioned for sightseeing.

Hotel was lovely and great location. The staff were very helpful. We got an economy room which had more than enough space but the bed was a little small. Overall great hotel.

Great hotel, clean rooms, awesome customer service. It made visiting a foreign country easy and enjoyable.
