Kan varmt anbefales. Virkelig venlig personale og betjening. 5 minutters gang til sporvogn direkte til centrum.

Vi var afsted en forlænget weekend. Hotellets personale var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Restauranten kan ikke anbefales. Maden var kedelig og det tog ca. 40 min. at få en burger! Hotellet lå meget bekvemt i nærheden af The Luas - vi var hurtigt både i Tallaght og i Dublin Centrum. Hotellets faciliteter var super, både gym. og svømmehallen blev flittigt […] brugt. Læs mere

Meget tilfreds. God service, flot og charmerende, gode bartendere der skænker gode øl, rimelige priser, god beliggenhed ift. Luas (sporvogn der kører hvert 5 min.), nemt og billigt at komme ind til centrum.

Facaden på hotellet giver et løfte, som desværre ikke bliver opfyldt på ens ophold. Den ene morgen prøvede vi morgenmadsbuffeten på hotellet. Den var uappetitlig, og levede på ingen måde op til vores forventning. De penge vi brugte på dette kunne vi lige så godt have doneret til et velgørende formål, for vi fik intet ud af det. Vi følte os rigtig godt modtaget og behandlet på hotellet. Og rigtig dejligt med området med fitness og svømmehal. Hotellet ligger lidt udenfor byen, men det er meget nemt at komme til byen med LUAS. Det tager 20 min og koster 6 euro for en hel dags fri transport, Generelt er den offentlige transport i Dublin, meget nem at finde ud af og meget billigere […] end taxa. Nice Hotel the only negative points are the decor of the public rooms (well maintained but could do with some updating) and the location, situated adjacent to a light industrial area (quiet and not noticable during my stay) and a fair distance from dublin city centre but having said that the Luas (tram) stop is only 2 minutes walk away with a fast frequent […] service into the city centre, both main rail stations and Busaras (the coach station). Any negative points are more than made up for by the level of service by the hotel staff which can be summed up in one word - Excellent. The room was not too spacious, but the service was great. Convenient location to transportation. About 15 minutes from the airport, which is perfect for the bad traffic in Dublin.

Lovely hotel with beautiful decor. Really helpful and polite staff. Good quality gym facilities and nice pool w/sauna + steam room and good early opening hours Far enough out from Dublin that you don't get caught in traffic, and they offer free parking, but only 15 minutes on the Luas from the center of London. Ideally positioned really. Only slight […] complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was a lithe bit weak but still lovely and warm. Well located for visiting Dulin centre.Stayed on two occasions a week apart and had not returned credit card deposit from first stay until I mentioned it on arrival for my second stay,and I had paid months in advance for both bookings.Otherwise good value but the shower faciliteis in both rooms were very ordinary.

The hotel was close to a tram that we used to get into the city. The hotel was clean and well maintained, we had massive room which was nice. The pillows were hard and the noise from the pub did go on until around 12.30am, we had an early flight on Sunday so that was a bit annoying. If you want breakfast you need to order it the night before, we didn't […] realise this and so in the morning there was no breakfast option, it was also expensive, much cheaper to go to the Mc Donalds across the road. I would recommend this hotel. The room was clean and staff friendly ( Apart from some big guy who drove a van & insisted in parking in the disabled spot and who seemed to be rude to other staff ) Breakfast is very overpriced but apart from that I found the hotel to be fine for a one night stay

Not all staff was informed of many simple things...for example, needed information to place a call and the question could not be answered. Location is away from town, but the LUAS tram is only about two blocks away. The LUAS will get you downtown in about 20-25 minutes. The hotel itself is very nice and the restaurant/pub attached is nice, as well. […] Beware, however, that the kitchen closes at 9 or so. When I arrived at the hotel I was impressed at first glance as it was a big, fairly fancy looking place and for the price I got it I was immediately happy! The staff were quite pleasant on arrival too. An hour later I came down to reception to report two problems...hair dryer wasnt working and shower would only stay on one level...roasting hot!! In […] fairness they were up within 10 mins and supplied us with a new hairdryer but when he attempted to fix the shower he turned to my wife and said its 'kind of fixed!!' leaving a load of dirt from his shoes in the bath...i was out at the shop at this time so could not have said anything to him. For dinner they never replaced our cutlery after starter...I know its not a major issue but having rubbed me the wrong way it annoyed me! Finally the last problem I had was 10.00am on the following morning, my wife wanted a drink in the lines of a raspberry or diluted orange...I went in to the bar to ask for this to be told they cant give me any drink which I thought was most unusual seeing as the breakfast room was open at this time and in my opinion you should be able to get a glass of orange at any time!! I settled for water...and there was no ice available apparently?? I wont be coming back here...it is handy because it is a 2 min walk to the luas line but nothing else is good about this place! I stayed at the Best Western Sheldon with my boyfriend for a weekend in June 2011. The hotel is located outside Dublin, a short walk to the Luas line where it is a 25 minute journey to the City Centre. We noticed very strong smells throughout the corridors, think it was the overuse of cleaning products in the rooms. The room was satisfactory, although […] the sink was not securely fixed to the wall, the TV did not work properly and the window was very small making the room quite gloomy. Having said this it was well equipped with a trouser press, tea/coffee making facilities and spare pillows/blankets and the bed was very comfortable. On our last day we decided that we would have the breakfast. We booked this the previous evening as a discounted rate was given if booked in advance. We turned up for breakfast in the morning and were greeted quite rudely as there was some initial confusion - the man overseeing the breakfast said we hadn't booked in advance and said we'd have to pay full price. Once this was cleared up (he checked with reception and realised he was wrong, no apology offered) we took our seats and ordered the full cooked breakfast. When it arrived, despite the claim of 'grilled bacon' the whole meal had been deep fried and was extremely greasy. I found 3 hairs in my meal and my boyfriend sent his back as he couldn't eat it. He said he would pick something else from the menu but the manager on duty just took the plates away without an apology or asking what we might want instead. I received a new meal but it really wasn't very nice. We explained at the reception desk when we were checking out what had happened and that my boyfriend had only had toast and not the full breakfast but we were only offered a small discount which was more expensive than what just toast would have been . Lovely comfortable place with friendly staff, good food and excellent leisure centre. Very conveniently placed for access to Dublin Centre (5 mins walk to Luas). Very good value for a visit to Dublin.

The staff were lovely, I had trouble with my key...or so I thought and they were very helpful....I realized aftter it wasn't the key but the operator...(Me) lol The spa and pool was a real bonus, I got to meet some local people and relax at the same time...The staff there were also very very nice, Thanks for making my stay so enjoyable

Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms comfortable and well equipped. Food in hotel excellent with lovely bar with great atmosphere and band playing. Very convenient to Luas which only takes about 20 mis to City Centre.

As with all Best Westerns you just never know until you arrive. The reason I would recommend this hotel is that you get what you pay for. For those familiar with Premier Inn and Travel Lodge this is a slightly shabbier version in a grander building. This hotel is good only for car drivers or people with business in the industrial area where it is located. The staff, espicially a desk cleerk named Paula, are very disinclined to be helpful. Paula is ever hostile. Eating is a problem; there is only the hotel's expensive dining room or a McDonalds in wlaking distance. No heat was provided. my stay in this hotel was lovely ,we had a birthday dinner for 8 of us and the food in the restaurant was beautiful and the staff in there was very helpful , then we went into the bar where the waiter had reserved a table for us all , the music was brillant and martin in the bar was very friendly and helpful.

Our room was at the front of the hotel, beside the highway...you could hear the traffic all night. Beds were very uncomfortable and hard. Bar was lovely...but charging people €2 for a dash of orange cordial in a pint glass of water...WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE..i have ever found in any hotel i have invited in ireland. This hotel, although out of the centre and not in a very interesting area, is ideally situated for catching the Luas (tram) or the bus into the city centre. It is spacious, clean and comfortable and the bar is used by locals and has a better atmosphere than many hotel bars.

It was better than you get at most 3star hotels.. a nice touch was they put my home town local news on ITV... Mc Donalds down the road made a nice & easy change from bar food. I'll go back there for sure

If they say you get what you pay for then the Sheldon Park is slightly better value overall. The rooms are good, the staff are ok, the location is good and it's near budget pricing. Comfortable room, clean and fine for a short stay. The only downside is that walls are thin so you if you have noisy neighbours or frequent people chatting in the corridors, […] you may as well be talking face to face as the sound carries right through. The Hotel was OK for a 3 star, but ive had cheaper 4 star Hotels. It's a good half hour on the Luas into town. When I asked for brown sugar instead of white for my coffee, the barman turned his back on me, lifted his hand up and said whilst gesturing with his finger, one minute. Both myself and my partner were shocked considering the bar had barely […] a dozen in there. Then once I had found out smokers were to stand outside and no area provided, i asked for a smoking room. I got back to the hotel to find my room frozen and was put into another room at 1am. Then I rang down for room service, where I was informed he was too busy. So, I went down and fetched it myself. To the receptions credit, she was shocked when i queried the bill because i thought I had been charged room service for the service I didnt recieve. She repeated, "he was too busy". Close to the Red Cow, and on the Luas line, this is in a good spot if you are in transit or want to avoid driving into the city. It's also good value as a result. W were heading south for the weekend and because of a great online deal booked this hotel without knowing much about it. Its location close to the Red Cow was very convenient for the early morning start so that was good enough to begin with, We arrived late and left early so didn't have much encounters with staff but what we had was very helpful and […] efficient. One small quibble that one of our rooms which was close to the fire exist and genrator had a level of background noise that was potentially irrritating but we gave that to teh least fussy member of our party! Hotel was clean and comfortable and the Leisure Facilities were fine. Not the most picturesque location( in the middle of an Industrial Estate) but it was conveniently located for the tram and bus systems to the city centre. I was slightly disappointed at the lack of Irish staff as I was looking forward to a bit of Irish Craic in the bar and restaurant […] - the barman was Indian, the Head Waiter French and our waitress Rumanian. For that reason we only ate and drank one night in the hotel and stayed in the city centre for the other two nights where we could find Irish entertainment and humour. Was here for just one night and found it a very convenient place for the luas stop (Kylemore) which took a half hour to get to city centre. Didnt get breakfast but the room was lovely.

Had a short one night stay , did not get to use the facilities , but there is a good bar menu available and in a good location near the Luas line. Polite , friendly staff which can be rare these days in some places. I found the Sheldon Park good value for money. The rooms very comfortable and although outside the centre it was easy to reach as the Luas (tram) line was 5 minutes walk away. The swimming pool/leisure centre was a great bonus.

Overall the hotel was clean & quiet. It is close to the Kylemore Luas tram stop. Handy to have Mc Donalds across the road for cheap breakies for the early starter. Free parking , safe area that is conveniently located near main motorways.There is a leisure centre located next door however must wear swimming caps that cost £3 each. I chose this hotel as it had the best price for a booking that was made at short notice - i was anxious that it might be far from the city - its not - as the luas is almost outside the door! all the staff were very welcoming and always smiling - the rooms were clean and comfortable - usually before booking a hotel i would do my research - this time […] i didnt and was plesantly surprised - i would reccomend this hotel to everyone looking to stay in Dublin for whatever reason!!! Koselig hotell i rolige omgivelse. Nærhet til banen til sentrum. 15min. Reise med laus til sentrum av Dublin. Baren er også treffsted for lokalbefolkningen, hyggelig. Alt virker reint. Har rektorstolen. Svømmebassenget helt prima. Hotellet ligger i et industri område, greit å komme fra flyplassen med bil, ca 20 km.

Nära till buss, spårvagn (lua), Mc Donald's och Mc Café. Man måste ha badmössa för att få använda fitnesscentrets pool. Rent och fint på rummet. Positivt att det finns möjlighet att stryka och att göra eget te/kaffe på rummet. Mindre bra att det inte fanns handhållen dusch, utan endast ett fast duschmunstycke.
