I have like everyone else coming to a new location have to trust the pictures provided for the hotel/resort I select. So did I do for CBB & Spa. However pictures shown for this hotel is mainly for another hotel named Bamboo Beach Hotel & Spa in the Northern part of Patong city. Basically this hotel is run-down & worn-down. Hotellet ligger i Scooterafstand til Patong Beach! Man kan forvente lav værelsesstandard, hvor der stinke af kloark på badeværelset. Airconditionen må ikke skrues avere en 26 grader, for ellers dannes der kondens. På balkonen har Hotellets katte skidt i altankasserne, så der stinker af kattelort, så balkonen er ubruelig. Vi havde et dejligt ophold på CB. Vi var ikke glade for beliggenheden af de første værelse vi fik tildelt. Der var ingen problemer med at få et andet. Hotellet ligger fint lidt væk fra det hektiske liv på strandvejen i Patong. Det tager 10 min. at gå derned. Hoteller har også en TUK-TUK som kører til stranden. Poolen er ikke stor. Men der er fradeligt […] og hyggeligt. Restauranten laver super god mad. Receptionen hjælper med at bestille ture. The hotel is a few hundred metres up the hill/headland leading to the next beach, but feels like it is on a different planet to the main drag of Patong Beach. There are some quiet bars, restaurants, a 7/11 and similar nearby. It is so much more relaxed and quiet than the beach area, nobody hassling you. It is maybe 20 minutes walk to the beach proper, […] but if you plan on spending much time on the beach it is not conveniently located. The rooms are little huts with small balconies, very tastefully decorated and well appointed. Nice pool and grounds. Very relaxing and a pleasant place to return to each evening. One small warning - it is built on the side of a hill, and has a lot of steps. Recommended for couples and people who want to relax. Not recommended for party animals or people in wheelchairs. Club Bamboo was peaceful and beautiful. My partner and I loved all the food and roomservice that was open untill 11:00pm, maybe the breakfast could improve a little.We were in the penthouse suite and it was fantastic and very cheap!. Hotel was clean and very nice. Stayed in a bungalow with nice trees hiding it. Staff all friendly and easy to talk to. Enjoyed it alot wish I booked earlier so I could stay my whole trip, I know for next time. Only bad thing there was the stairs. No elevator so older people may have trouble but I'll recommend this place to my friends.

Nice pool, restaurant has many options, room has a few little issues since it's old. NO WIFI sometimes, even though they say they have. My TV was really fuzzy bad reception, never got fixed. Worn out hotel, terrible bed, noisy room, ours was below the gym, we only noticed at 7:30 am when some guy working out kept banging the weights on the floor (not his fault, that's the purpose) so it seemed like the roof was going to collapse on our bed. The breakfast was correct but don't expect anything from it.. On our cheek out, the staff could not […] find the blank visa deposit which I had signed the night before, because their papers were a total chaos, it took them more than half an hour to find it, so we nearly lost our boat to phi phi. And we asked them to call a taxi, and the one they called did not show up, although I found one on the street straight away. Do your self a favour and stay away from this hotel. Læs mere

I like the like hotel but the problem there is... the neighbourhood room and sorrounding is very noisy and I ask the hotel management to change a room but unfortunately they are able to change for me. I cant totally sleep.

I stayed at Club Bamboo for 9 weeks, #1 staff, #1 rooms, #1 service, inexpensive 5* Hotel. Great food & room service. Many thanks to Yut and all the staff and management for giving me 5* service. Thanks Dean

If you know you shoulden't expect to much of the hotel, it is a great place. It very old, and very shabby. But the staff was nice, and if you are not there to be in your room, it is great for the money you pay. The poole was awfull maintained and the sunbeds asswell.

i found the hotel cosy n boutique like,not too large a hotel that you dont feel warm n cosy,just nice for a couple,the hotel is also close to patong,but not that close that you get the noise.rooms were comfortable for the pice.

I stayed here for two weeks and on the whole was very pleased with my circumstances. Yes there are steps, yes when walking there's a small hill to negotiate , but for the price I was delighted with my room. It was quiet enough to sleep well at night but not far enough out of town to be a bother. Sometimes I walked all the way, sometimes I got a taxi […] bike for 50 baht. I didn't like their restaurant but ate frequently next door, all meals $3 and down the hill, a meal with a drink for under $3. Never got ill. I would definately stay again, depending on the room and would recommend it. I also had frequent massages there that were great. Just be mindful that the whole world doesn't speak English and be patient and polite. If you are allergic to cats the pool area may be an issue. Læs mere

I am travelling for 1 year from the UK, so money is important. I found this place to offer excellent value for money, and I will be coming back again! Flew in from Koh Samui on the Sunday. They organised a tranfer for 600 baht - good value I think. Arrived at sister hotel - also called Bamboo, because my room wasnt vacant at main hotel due to somebody […] being ill. Sister hotel is not as good. In the morning got a free transfer to main hotel. So nice! Very peaceful, but only 2 minutes by scooter to the noise of Patong and the great beach! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! I received a free upgrade to my room for my earlier inconvenience. I found the staff excellent and very friendly, the facilities are excellent - including an under used gym which has very expensive and modern equipment, and a peaceful pool. A spa/massage center is on site, and I am about to use it now! Wifi is free and can be connected to in most rooms. Pool is a touch on the small side, but still lovely. Lots of stairs, but will be fine if you are physically well. Very peaceful and quiet, excellent bed and pillows, and only 2 mins from the party! Læs mere

This place is a run down resort. The AC didn't work in the first room we were placed in. The AC in the room we were moved to was leaking and they never bothered fixing this one or the phone that was broken. A few days later when I went to get some more money to exchange from a case that was hidden well inside my bag, I felt like it was a few hundred […] short so I made sure to count what was left. I spent all day trying to figure out how I had spent so much money, but the only conclusion i could come to was that $300 or $400 was missing. So when we got back to the room after being on a Mini Safari booked by the Resort a few hours later, I went to count the money again and there was another $100 missing. When I approached the Staff at the Reception and told them what had happened. They questioned the cleaning staff about it and after the cleaner denied it they told me they couldn't do anything about it. So the only thing i can say is that they must rummage through all of your belongings and steal any cash they can find but leaving enough so that at first glance you think its all still there. The superior room I was staying in was large, clean and pretty nice in my opinion. Although because the hotel is located on a mountainousness location there were very steep and very many steps which provided daily exercise. Also the location is a bit far away from the beach, but the hotel has a pick-up service. The positive point about the location […] is that it was very quiet as there are no night activity near. Bed isn't most comfortable bed ever. But I am here again tonight after staying 5 nights last week. It's so cheap and just make sure if you have breakfast included you eat it once. Otherwise you will be charged. Other than that I really like this hotel. For little $ I am top floor looking at water and some of Patong. Definitely a good deal

The room was nothing like the pictures. The beds where hard and uncomfortable, and all the sheets smelled of bleach. There was as well a smell of chlorine in the entire room. The hotel restaurant is one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten inn, tasteless, salt, dry and boring. Breakfast was okay however. definitively not recommending anyone. The hotel is just awful, mold is probably in every room and the hotel is located very close to something that looks like a sewage plant. Very noisy as well. The pictures are not the pictures of the hotel.

The staff were superb and friendly and the onsite food was excellent and we ate there mostly.The onsite spa was amazing and very professional and good value. To check in you have to carry your luggage up 12-15 steep stairs, staff at counter watching you but not offering to help you firstly.. no lift, stairs connecting everything, if you cannot do steep stairs then don't bother booking. the room was not at all like the photos, wood vanity with all the varnish lifting, toilet and bath with no shower on an […] unfinished concrete floor, tiny room old furniture not matching, and view is a swamp where all the unwanted black smelly used water must be pumped to.very disappointing for a 3 star hotel that is not a cheap backpackers hostel... for the same price we found a beautiful hotel on the beach front.After complaining was told to check out but no refund given. Club Bamboo is definitely in a quieter part of town, but the location is very inconvenient. From the moment I arrived things were not working properly: at first it seemed that they couldn't find my reservation, and then I was told that I was "upgraded" to a bungalow... they walked me way down the hill, below the pool to a very damp area where there […] appeared to have been some construction. The room was definitely larger than I'd expect of a standard room, but very damp and full of mosquitoes. Furthermore, there was no mosquito net. The safe and television did not work and were not repaired at my request. When I inquired about transportation to town I could not get a direct answer, and I ended up walking the entire way. I also inquired about spa services well before the spa closed, and I was told it was "too dark" and I should come back the next day. The bed was terriblly uncomfortable and when we complained it took the staff a whole day to show us other rooms. Those rooms weren't much better. The bathrooms all seemed to smell of mold.
