"Bad night"
Our room had a very heavy oder of insecticide. The clerk could only offer to Lysol spray the room. I had my young son with me and I was quite concerned the whole night. All other locations were sold out, so I had no options. Bad night.

"Quiet location off the beaten track"
This is an older facility which has been updated. The fully stocked kitchen is great. Although all units are not stocked the same. I was there with a friend. Her unit had a set of mixing bowls and a few other things that my kitchen lacked. But overall the kitchen was very well equipped; down to paper towels, dish soap and Cascade for the dishwasher. […] It is located in a residential area, there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance. I was on the top floor and the rooms stayed very cozy at night, even though the temperatures were below freezing. I noticed that the units do not have air conditioning, so it may get toasty in August. My only gripe is with the employee who stood in the parking lot and yakked on his cell phone from 10:00 p.m. until 10:35 when I finally let him know that we could all hear him. He then took his conversation back to the maintenance room. The front desk staff clearly wishes they could be somewhere else, but they got the job done. It was an amazing vacation and we were very happy the staff is awesome!!!! The rooms are clean!!! The activities were sooo fun!!! Great place to come for a vacation :)

"Great place to stay!"
Really clean and well maintained. Wish we had paid more for the lake view though..our friends had a fantastic view from their lake-side balcony. We were on the ground floor and it felt like we were IN the parking lot. Rec rooms were great. Would definately stay there again. Very roomy & well stocked kitchen with clean appliances.

"Wonderful vacation!"
We stayed three nights at this hotel and had a great experience. The hotel location is the best. It is very close to snow play area - "Magic Mountain Slide" Our one bedroom with nice lake view had enough space for family of four. The room amenities are little bit outdated but everything was very clean and functional. The kitchen is quite small but has […] everything for you as promised. You will enjoy a gas fireplace during cold evenings. The balcony is large. The hotel staff is very responsive and offers some activities (check a front desk). No problem with free parking and wireless internet access. We had wonderful but short vacation at Big Bear Lake. Læs mere
I booked this room as a last minute anniversary getaway, and it was more than I expected to find at the last minute. The front desk staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean and accomodating. The full kitchen was stocked well and the stone fireplace was nice and warm. "parking nightmare"
we drove up to the hotel and were pleasanly surprised by the wonderful mountain atmosphere. the room was ok not anything fancy just a nice sort of clean room. were the rub for us came in was trying to find a parking space. coming in late on a friday night i can understand that most ost the parking may be taken, if the hotel were filled to caoacity, […] which in fact was not the case. there were probably only half of the rooms taken with virtually no parking spaces to be found. it was even worse on saturday night. poor planning on behalf of the city and builder. "Lagonita Lodge in a great setting."
This is a great place to stay as long as you aren't looking for a rustic cabin. We stayed in a small condo. It was clean and cute. Not super fancy but nice. It had everything we needed as far as kitchen accessories. Plates, wine cork, and even place mats. Was quite satisfied overall.

We had a great stay at Lagonita Lodge. First the surroundings are beautiful. It's right on the lake and the view is breathtaking. Second, when we entered our "room" it was ideal. It had a full kitchen with everything you might need like pots, silverware, plates, cups, glasses. It felt more like an apartment than a room. It had a bedroom and a livingroom […] and a kitchen, and a patio with a view of the lake. The only thing was that they should invest in better mattresses and the pull out was a tad uncomfortable. "great room for the money but needs exterminator"
We were pleasantly surprise in how big the accommodations were for the price. It did have a small problem...we found ants on the dinner table and kitchen floor.

This hotel is in a beautiful location right on the lake. The rooms are spacious with a small kitchen, living area, bedroom and our unit had 2 bathrooms. It is need of renovations. I would only recommend this hotel if noise is not a problem for you or you could get an upstairs room. We were on the bottom floor and the upstairs unit was so loud when they […] walked across the floor that you could hear everything! "Great condo for the price!"
The registration staff were very pleasant and helpful. After settling down in our room, we received a telephone call from the front desk asking if we needed anything further. Very clean and spacious unit with 2 full baths. Wi-fi extremely fast and our children enjoyed the fact that they had their own sleeper sofa in the living area with their own TV. "Stayed there multiple times"
We have stayed at Lagonita Lodge that last 4 times we have travelled to Big Bear Lake (for ski trips). The rooms have always been very clean, and while we were there many of the rooms and other areas of the property were being upgraded. The Lodge is well maintained. Kitchens are a bit small, but work out fine. Our units had a very pretty view if the […] lake (right on the lakefront). Our kids enjoyed using the pool, spa and recreation room. We were able to get a 3 night weekend for the price of two nights so it was a great value. The condo was well appointed with a great view- for the price of a standard hotel room. Close to town and the ski areas.

We had a one-bedroom with living room, full kitchen, balcony, and a fireplace. Our room is on the 3rd floor, but no elevator, luckily we didn't have heavy luggage. The kitchen has refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster, and a coffee maker. The bathroom is small but clean. The toilet was loud that could wake the whole family at night. "Great Location!"
I took my family for a weekend of snow play, the location by the lake was great! Lots of snow with an awesome view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. It did not feel like we were staying at a hotel room but a small apartment which was kind of nice and very cozy. "Great for families - good value for money"
I appreciated the tips other users left so want to share too. We stayed on a top floor unit facing the lake for a great price. The unit itself was spacious and quiet. The daily housekeeping was great - even doing our dishes (which we didn't expect). It is only a short drive to ski (less than 10 minutes) or very short drive (3 minutes?) into town. By […] far, the best restaurant in town was the Himalayan - it is authentic Indian food and very reasonably priced. With our 6 year old, she ate just rice and bread (nan), so I'd recommend bringing snacks for the kids (or going without kids).
