Rart og varmt lille hotel, kunne godt trænge til en kærlighånd, men personalet venlighed og service vejede det dårlige op. Så et fint lille hotel til fornuftig pris.

Vi havde en dejlig uge i Firenze, og hotellet var en meget positiv oplevelse, da der var et højt serviceniveau og en dejlig stemning på stedet. Værelset levede til fulde op til vores forventninger ; der var rent og pænt, og vi synes, vi fik meget for pengene.

Intet at klage på (bortset fra morgenmaden som ikke lever op til skandinavisk standard, men det skyldes nok snarere italienske traditioner). Afstanden til centrum er perfekt; intet problem at gå men langt nok væk til at slipper for larmen. Også er ejeren meget høflig og snakker godt engelsk:)

Et hyggeligt lille hotel lidt udenfor centrum. Ligger i et forholdsvist roligt kvarter uden for turist-trængslen i centrum, men man skal regne med at få lidt motion ved at gå 15-20 min. ind til centrum. God service og venligt personale. Morgenmaden var buffet, bl.a. forskellige friskbryggede kaffer og mulighed for at starte dagen med at sidde i gårdhaven […] under planter, fuglesang og blå himmel. Boede på et en-persons-værelse, som var lidt lille, men tilpas. Værelset var rent, i god stand og med en låsbar sikkerheds-boks til opbevaring af værdigenstande, men der var af og til lidt trafik-støj fra gaden. Læs mere

God atmosfære, sødt, venligt og hjælpsomt personale, et meget behageligt og fredeligt hotel - dog var vores værelse 405 lidt skuffende. Bl.a. var toilet og brusekabine bygget sammen, så de hver især var vanskelige at anvende.

Et lille fint 3 stjernet hotel, som ligger ca 15 - 20 min. gang fra Firenzes centrum og station. Hotellet ligger i et roligt kvarter nær en skøn park. Yderst venligt personale som var behjælpelig med oplysninger om offentlig transport og lignende. Et helt OK hotel til prisen, vi kommer gerne tilbage.

This hotel is nicley run. We requested a quiet room and were assigned to a quad building in the courtyard which is stand alone and away from street noise. The breakfast included is convenient with typical breads and meats and good coffee choices. It's about a 10 minute walk to the nearest restaurants and 20 to the attractions. Florence was our third city on this trip. We arrived at Hotel Panama for a 4 day stay and the owner immediately helped us plan our visits to the city. We also purchased tickets for a day-trip to Sienna from the hotel. Breakfast was just fine and coffee strong as needed. Recently stayed twice at the Hotel Panama. Excellent value, no negatives. Free computer is a big plus, as is the entire staff's emphasis on customer service. Room was immaculate and quiet, with ample storage, safe, and mini-fridge. Breakfast was typical and of good quality. Found free parking very close by. We spent very little time in the hotel - mostly just a place to sleep - but it was perfect for that. Our hotel was on the ground floor at the back of the building and was dark and quiet - great for recovering from jet lag!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and overall had a very nice stay. We had a lovely room on the annex part of the hotel,which was just a few meters accross from the main part. It was nice and quiet and a big room with a sofa and dinning area.The only thing which let the room down was the bathroom smelt of drains.We did mention this when we […] left so hopefully they have sorted it.We probably should have said earlier,but were happy with the room otherwise. Perfectly acceptable for a short stay car parking is tricky if you have a decent size car. Not much room for manoeuvre. Perfect place for walking into central Florence

Very friendly and hospitable owner. Took the time to explain us all the must see places in Florence and how to go about using public transport. Very nice breakfast. Major attractions/station with in 15-20 min walking distance.

Had a great stay staff were really friendly & helpful. Air con left an awful smell in room & shower door wouldn't stay closed. To be fair we said nothing so he opportunity to fix it was given to the hotel

Hotel Panama exceeded all our expectations for a typical city hotel. The free wifi, which is often a bit jammy in areas, was available in all areas of the hotel and a password was given to us before we had to ask for it. We had emailed ahead requesting to be in the annexe, which other reviewers have mentioned as a quiet area facing a courtyard. Those […] rooms were booked up, so the hotel moved us into a suite with its own private courtyard and jetted bathtub on the fourth floor. The breakfast each morning was average to good. Coffee was made to order and tasted good. (Don't expect any crazy Starbucks-esque concoctions, though.) The Saturday and Sunday morning spreads were substantially bigger and better than Monday's, which ran a bit low on croissants and cheese. We didn't use them, but the hotel also offers free bike rentals -- a great offer considering the hotel isn't in the city centre. We found the location easy to find (about 15 minute stroll from the main train station) and in a quiet neighbourhood. There aren't any small local shops nearby to pick up bottled water or wine, so expect to take a little walk. Via Nazionale was a good source of nearby food and amenities. (Mostodolce and Osteria Il Brincello, in particular!) If we ever come back to Florence, we'll definitely stay here again. Læs mere

Excellent staff, professional but friendly and very helpful with trip advice etc. Quiet area 20 minutes walk north of the very busy and noisy city centre. Nice room exactly like the photos on the website, air conditioning very cool and a small fridge too which is good to have in 40oc+ temperatures! There's no need to open your window but if you do there […] is insect repellent in the room. WiFi was very fast and there's a nice reading area downstairs. Not the most comfortable bed but everything else was great and we have no complaints at all. Would gladly recommend and stay there again. The Hotel was of great quality. It was a bit problematic getting to my room - the passage to the door was very narrow. Great value for your dollar. Delicious breakfast buffet. Quiet, clean, attractive rooms. Within walking distance of train station and all major Florence attractions. Like all European hotels, the A.C. is never cold enough...

Owner of the hotel was very helpful and gave us great tips on restaurants nearby and in the city centre. We took advantage of the free pushbikes, which were useful considering the hotel was a little way out of centre. Breakfast was good, and enjoyable sitting outside. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Stayed at the Panama for 8 nights. Room a bit on the dark side, we were on the top floor, and overlooked the hotal car park, not an unpleasant view, plenty of trees etc, not uncomfortable at all. Bathroom adequate and together with the room cleaned well. Breakfast was included and was not bad , typical continental style. The staff were always pleasant […] and willing to help when needed. The stairway leading to the breakfast area a little bit shabby, but that is the only fault we found. We are in the 65+yr age group and the walk to the main areas of Florence could be daunting for the less fit and able, we managed fine. a little further from the town centre where most of the tourist sites are, but there is close by bus stops and only 1km from central train station. the staff were excellent and very helpful, also spoke good English which was great as a Tourist.

This hotel is in an excellent location - about 10-15 minutes walk to the centre of Florence. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was included and was very good.

The hotel is situated just out of the main area of the town (15 min walk into town). It was a lovely location as after a busy day sightseeing, it was a peaceful place to return to. The staff were very nice and were happy to offer advice about how to get to the various sights etc and order taxis. Breakfast ws plentiful and the coffee very good!!. Hotel was not in the center of the attractions which made it feel like a place to come home to after a day of sight seeing. However, all the attractions were in walking distance from the hotel. If you didn't care to walk so much you could take the buses just outside of the hotel. The breakfast was substantial and nourishing with a great selection. The Hotel Panama is owned and operated by a father - son team who take great pride in their business. I stayed here in November of 2011for 3 nights and had a great stay. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The Hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable, free in room wifi, free continental breakfast and high def cable TV. Great location in […] a quiet neighborhood less than a 15 minute walk from the main railroad station (SM) and within a 15 minute walk to the Duomo. 3 minute walk to the nearest ATM ,5 minutes to a nice little supermarket. The hotel also has same day laundry service which was a life-saver when my bottle of balsamic vinegar spilled all over my clothes inside my bag on the first day. was my first time in Florence and only had a day. The hotel staff quickly grabbed a map and plotted my day. They were great. Breakfast was wonderful! Only draw back to hotel is that there is really nothing around at night so coming back from the tourists areas it was very dark. But only 15 minute walk to train station. For one night great.

This is a decent budget choice about 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of Florence. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is decent. The rooms are well appointed but the one I was in was quite small; probably the smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel.
