Holiday Inn Express & Suites Memorial - Houston

My boyfriend and I were looking for a fairly priced hotel with a pool somewhat close to the downtown area and we certainly found it here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were modern, spacious and clean. The pool was great as well. We were even able to get a room with a jacuzzi at no extra cost. I have never been disappointed with a Holiday […] Inn Suites. The only downside was that it was located on a one-way street just off of the highway and was a little difficult to get to. The neighborhood was a little run-down but I wasn't ever concerned. The hotel and room were fine - in good condition and clean. Free breakfasts usually aren't great, so I don't expect much, but this one actually disappointed me. I didn't stay there for the breakfast, so it doesn't affect my overall impression much. Just called it out because it was the only negative for this stay.

The hotel was convenient for our needs. No complaints. Clean, courteous staff, and good breakfast. Will definitely stay there again.

I stayed here while recovering from surgery. Check in and staff were all friendly. I called and asked how recently the hotel had been updated because Holiday Inn is in the process of remodeling all older buildings The person I spoke with said it had been completely removed within the last year. I suppose his opinion of renovation is getting new bedding […] and shower curtains. The day of my surgery when I returned to the room housekeeping opened the door and attempted to enter the room, not once, but twice. The room smelled like it was doused in cheap perfum. The beds were clean and I had ample towels. This hotel also has complimentary breakfast but these are not features that would draw me back here. Læs mere

1. Price isn't terrible. It is higher than other nearby hotels, but you get a lot of good customer service and accessories. 2. Breakfast bar looked very well-thought out, and delicious. 3. Hotel is right off of highway, but once you get lost you have to loop around downtown Houston on Katy Freeway which is ridiculously difficult. So don't miss your […] exit. 4. Sound of traffic is really loud, if you are not used to it making sleeping at night hard. 5. Everything worked (TV, lights, etc.) 6. If you are going to allow children to run around in the breakfast area with no socks or shoes, then you can't have a double standard that says an adult can't go in their wearing slippers. If you are going to have a double standard, you need to be less rude about it. The woman with no teeth apparently thinks she is a prison guard. She demanded I leave […] the area, then ignored my protest about the barefooted children. Then she hovered around me with her arms crossed as if I were going to dare pass by her and get a muffin. This was a great Hotel to stay at the staff was friendly and helpful and the Hotel was very well maintained and clean. I travel often so I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to come to Houston and be close to downtown without being downtown!

It is moldy and you will feel disgusting all night. We were moved rooms for the second night of our stay which was fine, but the first night in room 605 was gross. Hopping into the bed and feeling wet is a terrible feeling. Avoid 605 and you should be fine.

The Holiday Inn Express Memorial is an excellent facility with very professional and helpful staff. We were allowed to check in two hours early and an hour late. The room was in perfect condition. Hotel was nice. Staff were great. Breakfast was OK. Bed was comfortable. Convenient location to shops and restaurants. Only complaint was the noise from the interstate.

The Holiday Inn Express was located next to the Highway which made it easy to get to but was a little noisy. Bed was great breakfast was pretty good hot eggs and sausage.

The room was nice. Smelled kinda musty! The floor felt damp. Bed was comfortable. I'll try it again the next time. Very convenient to the office.
