Geat service and realy sweet people. They were all very helpful and The hotel was just a 2 minute walk from everything! The room was very clean and big and the breakfarst was realy good.

Hotel was ok but they don't offer lunch or dinner, take away places dont open until 5 pm for delivery. Also many get confused with the other holiday express which is 10 mins from the station which is what we were told , then when you get there they give you a map and you end up walking for a further 15-20 mins surrounding area of the hotel is off putting […] , but there is a small plaza near by that has nando's mcdonalds and other places to eat but the hotel do not mention this to you. where they send you is next dorr to the pub where the prices are high and not suitable for children. The hotel could have more channels thatn the standard 5 because we are now digital. However I like the fact that check out is until 12 pm and breakfast on sunday was until 11.30 a.m Læs mere

I was given a room set up for disabled people. Roomy, clean and comfortable.

Hotel was ideally situated for NIA and Bullring shopping centre. Hotel room was quite small and bed was quite poor quality really. TV appeared to be missing a no of channels. Room was very clean and had most items usually found in standard room. Breakfast was of good quality but very chaotic and poorly thought out with lots of people in each others […] way with hot drinks and food - a disaster waiting to happen! Didn't think this hotel was as good as a premier inn and for more money also so not great value. Parking was frustrating having to spend another £10 for 24 hrs parking, feel this should be free or built into overall cost of stay. Would highly recommend the Shakespeare Pub next door, great value, quality food and beers like the pubs of yesteryear. Læs mere

Great place to stay if going to the NIA. 10 mins walk to NIA, 15 mins to Bullring Shopping Centre.

First impressions of the room were good but noticed they were bits on the carpet. My overall complaint was of some drunken idiot banging on my hotel door at 2.am in the morning and then running off.. I did ring down to reception but no answer! When me and my wife checked out I informed the receptionist but she did not seem that bothered and just said […] you should have reported last night! And one other thing I did not receive my complimentary paper. Overall a poor standard of customer service! Læs mere

Stayed here for a concert at NIA, was easy to find and park, and only a short walk for the NIA Would definately use this hotel again

Great hotel, conveniently located within walking distance of the major shopping areas and cultural instituions (museum, convention center, library, etc). Because of the one way streets it is a bit tricky to get to but once there it is really great and they do have onsite parking (not always common in the UK). Very clean and organised, big enough for 2 people with good courteous staffs.

A very comfortable and clean hotel as close to the centre of Birmingham as you can get. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was great. A full breakfast i included in the price, which makes this very good value indeed. The only criticism I have is that of the sub-contractors running the automatic barrier in the car park beneath the […] hotel. Most of the ground floor of the car park is supposed to be reserved for hotel guests, but whole lines of spaces for building employees are coned off, which is hardly fair when guests are paying ten pounds per night for parking. Needless to say, the car park fills up quickly and the double minus epsilons at the barrier cannot count, will not listen to reason, and find it hard to understand that a five-metre estate car will not enter into a two-metre wide space blocked on one side by a concrete column and an illegally parked van on the other. We booked this hotel because our usual one was too expensive this year! However, this will be our regular one going forward. The rate was good, location was excellent. Very quiet within 15 minutes walk of New Street Station, the Christmas Markets and the clubs/bars. The room (on 5th floor) was quiet with very little noise from corridor. The included […] breakfast choice was also reasonable, with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, croissants, bread + rolls, jams & cheeses (packaged), sausages, scrambled egg and beans. Good value for money, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Ideal and peaceful location. Overall a perfect place to book for holiday in midlands. Secure parking with 24 hrs access is big plus.

This is a great hotel in a wonderful location. My parents (my mom is disabled) and I walked downtown and everywhere in between from this location. The breakfast was great, customer service, awesome. There isn't one bad thing I can say about this hotel. Stay there if you'd like to really enjoy Birmingham!

hotel ideally situated in Birmingham city centre. Cannot fault the cleanliness and comfort of the room, even though you know what to expect from a holiday inn express.Pleasantly surprised that the hotel provided a cooked breakfast buffet as well as continental. Staff helpful as ever.Overall great value .

Used this hotel for a comedy night at The NIA. The hotel's location is brilliant for this arena, only a 10 minute walk away. It's only a 15 minute walk from city centre and the shopping and nightclubs. Overall the hotel was what we needed for just one night stay but a couple of things were lacking. Firstly there is no bath in the room we had it only […] had a shower, I know it's a city centre location but most hotels have a smallish bath. Secondly as normal irons etc are normally provided on request, having got out of the shower and ready to sort my clothes I was told by reception that I must walk down to them to collect which obviously was not ideal. Just a small nice touch would have been to bring it to me! We got our night with a continental breakfast but left a lot to be desired. The only hot food were some very distastful sausages, hard baked beans and scrambled egg. This was the first time staying with Holiday Inn Express and admittedly we wouldn't do it again, may look for pricier room next time at another hotel or look locally especially for this area. Good value (breakfast included), clean, convenient location. Excellent reception staff (friendly and very helpful, supplying local map). Very quiet at the back of the hotel. Would recommend for a short stay.

Lovely Staff. Birmingham is Cool. Everyone was friendly. I have a medical condition PTSD and I slept like a log! Very comfortable!! Great value. Well Done!!!

fantastic place to stay, close to city centre, staff very accomodating to our needs, room comfortable, quiet, clean, breakfast buffet excellent though a little crowded in serving area. Would definately return and would recommend. Price was reasonable too.

Hotel was exactly what I expect from this brand. I booked it to attend a 2 day event at the NIA and it was exactly what i needed. Food was provided at NIA so lack of restarant was no Issue. Breakfast provided met my needs (Not a big breakfast person) and acess to NIA was easy Just follow the canal down to the entrence. Parking made geting to and from […] the hotel easy the one way system made things more of a chalenge but this is outside the hotels control. Læs mere

I really enjoyed my stay. Hotel was very nice, close to town and pubs near the canal - just between both. Also some pubs next door to the hotel. I was in Birmingham for a training and it was just 2 min from the Baskerville House i needed to go to. Also we got breakfast that was not suppose to be included but was :)

Got a room for the night for a very cheap night for three of us - me and my husband with our 15 year old daughter. Had very little expectations given the price we paid but had only wanted a bed for the night after seeing a show in town. The staff at the front desk were excellent at both check in and out. Very courteous and helpful - nicer than at some […] 5* hotels we've stayed at. Room spacious enough for the three of us and clean though the bed was very uncomfortable. Plenty of choice for breakast for a cold buffet type - husband disappointed no full english but I thought Sausage and egg enough along with the mix of cereals, pastries breads etc. Very close to town so the location was perfect. Friendly, helpful staff, very clean room. Secure parking, quiet at night despite proximity to City Centre. Much higher standard than Travelodge but around the same price. Good free breakfast as well! Highly recommended.

Great budget hotel with great location and facilities. Rooms had all requirments- good showers etc but no opening windows. Air conditioning can be overpowering ( All Hotels).Good clean basic rooms. Free breakfast- was OK. Staff were good and facilitated very early check in, Check in for flight home etc.

We had a reservation at a local Indian restaurant and this hotel flagged up as the closest. We checked in on Saturday afternoon to a very warm welcome from the receptionist, she was very efficient and advised us of the car park under the hotel and processed our check in quickly. Our room was on the third floor overlooking the main entrance and was […] clean and spacious, it was slightly dark and overlooked by the UCB across the road, so had to have the curtains closed for privacy, this wasn't an issue for one night. but though a working week could be intrusive. The bathroom was large and clean with soap dispensers and there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room which we thought was a nice touch. The bed seemed clean and was very comfortable. At 2am in the morning the taxis queuing outside the hotel had a beeping row which woke nothing the hotel could really do but when we mentioned it to the girl on reception she said it happens regularly and that if it bothered us to ask for a room at the back of the hotel next time. Breakfast was basic but good, a continental breakfast with sausage and egg. All in all we were very pleased with the hotel for the price and would happily stay here again. Læs mere

Hotel staff were very helpful, room was clean and tidy, breakfast in the morning was fine and location of hotel was ideal for the city centre restraunts, pubs and shopping. Only issue was having to pay £10 per night for my car in the hotel carpark. All in all i had an excellent weekend stay

very good location, only a few minutes walk to the city centre, great place to shop and eat and sight-see. hotel offers breakfast which it isnt too bad, consider the price isnt that expensive compare to the other hotel i have stayed in over the past two weeks all over UK.

Das Zimmer 501 ist direckt neben dem Personal Büro, jeden Morgen um 06.45 wurde ich durch den Lärm der auf und zugehender Türe geweckt. Bang, Bang. Freundlicherweise haben sie mir ein anderes Zimmer gegeben. Etwas unangenehm ist, dass man die Fenster nicht öffnen kann.Das Personal ist äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit

Fin-fint Hotel, ganske sentralt i birmingham. Moderne og rent og pent Hotell med bra beliggenhet. Nabobygget er en fin-fin gammel Pub med god mat og ikke minst drikke.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrum. Es sind jedoch keine langen Fußmärsche zu den wichtigsten Plätzen. Das Frühstück ist einfach - man würde meinen typisch "Britisch". Es verwunderlich ist, dass kein W-LAN des Hotels vorhanden ist. Es ist erforderlich by "Cloud" eine Internetverbindung zu buchen. Auf Stundenbasis extrem teuer. Weltweit ist […] in allen mir bekannten Holiday Inn eine Internetverbindung kostenlos eingerichtet. UK scheint anders zu sein. Læs mere
