Best Western Salinas Monterey - Salinas

Staff was GREAT. Hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. We actually added a 2nd night and will definitly stay there again.

RUDE STAFF

The people were super friendly even though we checked in late and came and went quite a bit. The room had a microwave and mini fridge that proved useful. The also had a complimentary breakfast with fresh made waffles! It was quite nice, saved a bunch on breakfast (although the diner next door had humongous omelettes!) It is also conveniently located […] to Monterey and to the airport. We were there for the busy jazz festival and a lot of things were booked up. It's right off a freeway which some people don't like, but I found quite nice for someone who'd never been to California and needed signs pointing to everything! Just be careful too, apparently the rate I booked on here was the "senior" rate, luckily they gave us a rate that was only $10 more a night so not too bad. Læs mere

One of the worst hospitality experiences I have had. We booked the room on hotels.com at a particular rate. When we got there they couldn't even find our reservation in their system. When they finally found us, they claimed that we had a senior rate and the regular rate was higher. When I showed them that the reservation said nothing about a senior […] rate, they still didn't believe us. The people here have no idea how to handle customers and accuse the customer of being wrong rather than admitting their own fault. Don't stay here - they will charge u more than u expect to pay and make it out to be your fault. To top it off, the hallways are saturated with stale smoke. We are never staying here again. Læs mere

I like the hotel, but when my family and I arrived to register at the hotel, we did not feel welcome, the desk person did not make eye contact, did not welcome us into the hotel. Anyway we did registered, went out to eat and we we came back my room was not ready for occupancy at 3:15pm? I was frustrated. we left for a walk. We came back late night, […] and the desk personnel at night was polite and warming. At the morning when we checked out, personnel from the night before was there, I felt relieved, they thank us for staying there and even made a small joke. That lifted me up and made me forget about my first impression of the hotel. Læs mere

Andy even help help me get my car started after I had left my lights on all night and the battery was dead. Wonder place run by caring people.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and all looked new. The breakfast was perfect. Not too much and not too little.

Busy weekend no other places available in Monterey proper - very surprised with this place. Very clean and very friendly staff.

The suite my hubby and I stayed in was fabulous - my only complaint was having to wait a long time for extra blankets, sheets and pillows for the pull-out sofa-bed,which should have been stored in the closet. However, there WERE other issues regarding the hotel OPERATIONS, like the ghetto, continental breakfast (lame juices from machines, pre-packaged […] bagels, very poor-quality waffle-maker, etc). Not that I expected a royal spread by any means; however, FRESH bagels and real juice would have made a HUGE difference!!! The breakfast offered really wasn't even edible!!! Also, I discovered, after booking the suite on Hotels.com, that Best Westerns didn't allow for the charges to be paid in advance, like others done by Hotels.com, and I was VERY ANNOYED that I had to pay Best Western when I thought I'd ALREADY paid Hotels.com!!! Another person in line behind me had a similar experience, and was upset as well. On a much brighter note, I felt the price of the suite was FABULOUS, especially because it even had a jettted jacazzi tub, balcony, two tvs and separate bedroom with a very comfy mattress! The room was very cozy and very clean. The breakfast was filling. The hotel is close to Monterey, Seaside, and Santa Cruz.. Eateries are walking distance. Highly recommend the stay!

I was nervous about picking a cheap but nice hotel. This one was great! Staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent and well stocked. Room was clean and attractive. It was an easy shot to Monterey and Cannery Row and so much cheaper than the hotels in those areas. We even added a night because we liked the hotel so much.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Extremely helpful front desk. Great breakfast food in the morning. Very clean Lobby. Will come again.

Very friendly staff and great service!

Enjoyed the location and accessibilty to other dining areas

We attended for US Open in Pebble Beach (about 35 minute drive) and the hotel was good. Clean, comfortable and decent breakfast and price was reasonable. Good access to highways and a couple nearby restaurants. We had a King Suite which was nice for 3 adults. Coin laundry facility and free in-room internet access was a nice touch.

il 1° problema appena arrivati: la prenotazione fatta con hotel.com risultava una tariffa RP ,che prevedeva una tessera con un numero che noi ovviamente non avevamo, per il cui ci è costato 10$ in più a notte, 2° problema il wifi era praticamente inutilizzabile la connessione saltava in continuazione . per il resto hotel pulito, camere adeguate al prezzo […] e prima colazione discreta.
