Hotellet har en rigtig god service. I samme bygning kan man få kanon morgenmad på iHop (en af de bedste morgenmadskæder i USA). Udover det ligger det i gå afstand til Venice Beach og butikkerne der ligger tæt ved stranden.

Negative ting: Hotellet ligger alt for langt fra alle aktiviteter, restauranter og cafeer. Der ligger en brandstation ret tæt på, så man kan høre brandbilerne en gang hver halve time. Positive ting: Der er busstoppested lige uden for. Værelserne er store af amerikansk standart at være. Der er gratis parkering er en bil i kælderen. Fint hotel med god standard på værelserne. Lidt langt væk fra stranden, så en bil er nødvendig! Ligger på Santa Monica Boulevard, så dejligt tæt på Hollywood og Beverly Hills. Vil anbfale at leje en bil, for så kan man komme ud til alle de gode sights inden for få minutter. Gratis morgenmad på hotellet er ikke muligt og man skal gå ind på IHOP restauranten […] inde ved siden af. Dog rigtig lækker mad, Anbefaler pandekagerne med jordbærsyltetøj! IHOP er også en seværdighed. Hvis man planlægger en tur til LA, så vil jeg anbefale dette hotel i Santa Monica, frem for et i Downtown LA. Afstanden til de gode ting er meget kortere! Læs mere

The Best Western Plus Gateway Hotel was a great, convieniently located, and well priced option to stay in Santa Monica. 15 mins walk from 3rd st prominade, and beach, close to shopping areas/bus stops/car rentals and restaurants. I booked the hotel because of its proximity to the hospital where I was having surgery. The hotel fulfilled all my needs.

The staff were very friendly. The location was great as it is easy to get to and a great place from which to visit nearby sights. The bed was very comfortable. I just think the rooms look very uninspiring - they need some color. Otherwise a very nice hotel.

The hotel had free parking which is good because everywhere we went in Santa Monica parking was expensive. They also offer a free shuttle bus to take you to main area in Santa Monica which was useful. IHOP (Pancakes) is just across from the hotel so it is a great place to eat breakfast. I forgot my kindle in the room and was excited to know the housekeeper turned it in. They sent it to me hassle free....wonderful service.

Room was clean and very comfortable. I will stay again. This is the 2nd time we stay is walking distances to restaurants and shopping stores.

A great hotel if you are on a budget. Close to everything and an I-Hop right there. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

We were very concerned about security at the hotel. The parking garage was for IHOP and the hotel. The elevators in the garage were open to the public and went all the way to all floors of the hotel. We felt very insecure late at night under these circumstances, particularly because there was no security to be seen and there were many vagrants in the […] area. Free parking, free internet (slow at times). However, the bedding (not the sheets) need to be cleaned more often. Very friendly staff.

This BW location is the bomb! Just a few blocks to the beach and then head north to hit Hollywood and LA. The hotel staff were helpful and professional. There is an IHOP right beside the hotel. We will stay here again.

If you are looking for a clean, affordable hotel in the L.A. vicinity, this Best Western will do nicely. The decor is a dull beige and the rooms are a bit claustrophobic, but the location is convenient and safe.

My only warnings are that the hotel is in a fairly commercial neighborhood--lots of car dealerships and auto related stores, some fast food. Good value for money, clean room and comfortable. Good parking arrangements, no need for a key to the car park. Quite a long way from the shopping areas but easy with a car.

Only negative comment I would make is that the bathroom could be better lit. Otherwise if you are looking for a clean, good value hotel in a good Santa Monica location this is the one. i stay for work so convenient for route10 to la. Hotel is reasonable price and ok for santa monica for tourists. I travel considerably and find best western good value esp for car park and internet, although the internet here is very slow. Good comfortable hotel in the middle of town near all stores, restaurants, etc.

I booked this hotel knowing we were hardly going to spend any time there. Free parking, free wi-fi and easy access were other reasons. The hotel is pretty banged up. Looks like a lot of deferred maintenence. Housekeeping was not good about keeping their carts out of the walkways and they knocked on our door early, around 9:00. Our air conditioner was […] LOUD. I enjoyed my stay here. It was a little pricey considering there was no breakfast (IHOP next door though). This place was really just a place to spend the night, but because this was my first time in Santa Monica. Fine hotel. Trouble with wifi which was extremely important to us.. Seems like we were connected to a Wifi at another BW very far away. Spent hours trying to get good service.
