Montecassino Hotel Suites - Toronto

Old beds, huge entertainment unit - small TV, bed side light not working, no info on how to contact front desk! (had to use my cell). No plug for the tub??? Suited what I needed - a bed for the night so I didn't have to drive during a snow storm, But was not a place to feel comfortable about. No Breakfast info upon arrival!

Room was nice but the mattresses need to be replaced. Otherwise no surprises and no bed bugs.

The toilet clogged within an hour of arrival. I had asked for a plunger and it was not sent until the next day. We had to use the washroom outside the banquet hall. Additional towels were not available the next morning. My sons stayed in the room across the hall that was flooded therefore, they had to use our room to shower.

this hotel caters to functions rather than to hotel guests.

I will never stay here again and I go to Toronto alot. There are banquet halls on the main floor and the hotel is built above. There wasn't any parking when I arrived and I was told 'there are 3 stag parties going on tonight, when the parties are over, there will be parking'. So in the middle ofnight I had to retrieve my car from a factory up the street, […] and park it in the hotel lot, making my way through throngs of drunk young men and half naked 'working girls'. I am a middle aged woman, travelling alone. The 2nd night wasn't any better, more parties taking up all the parking and creating alot of noise, it was like 'the real housewives of new jersey' come to life in Downsview. Fighting husbands and loud wives and no parking. The toilet in my room didn't work, the remote control didn't work. IT SUCKED!! Læs mere

I had booked two double beds and when we got there they wanted to "upgrade" us to a queen suite for no extra charge. It had a queen size bed and a pull out couch that had springs that didn't connect to the edges and had to put pillow behind it to keep it propped up. Not a great deal.

The only reason Montecassino Hotel Suites received a 1 in some of the categories is because there wasn't a zero ranking. They did less than the bare minimum of work. There was a continental breakfast (somewhat), but for some reason they were out of small plates both mornings that I had breakfast there. They were out of some plasticwear (spoons) in particular. […] They didn't seem to care to do anything UNLESS you forced them to. Pay a little extra and stay at a reputable hotel/motel if you are staying in this area. It is NOT worth the low price that pay to save a few dollars. Læs mere

the hotel was clean and quite. the location is not to bud its far from downtown but the subway is 10 min away. the breakfast was not enough and we got no dishes for food except for milk and flakes.

Used this hotel during a stop over in Toronto to visit Canada's Wonderland. Overall the hotel was in decent shape (Especially the exterior), breakfast was pretty good and it was very close to the park and other surrounding items. Would stay there again!

We do not have Internet in the room. All sheets were dirty and old with holes from cigarets buts. The breakfast was awfull with only bread butter and surre milk.

I stayed at the Montecassino in Toronto July 25, 2011. The hotel was further from the 400 from what I expected. We arrived late at the hotel and had a hard time finding the entrance since there is not a lot of light around the entrance. I also had a hard time finding the lobby. The lobby was on the second floor and I took the stairs instead of the elevator […] and it wasn’t indicated very well. I went up and down three times before I found the lobby which was under construction I believe (not sure). The hallways are very nice, all in marble, however, we soon found out that marble isn’t a sound barrier, therefore, could hear the banging of doors in the rooms when people were coming in & out of there rooms. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable, however, the bathroom could of use some renovations. Toilet was loose; caulking around the tub was all yellow and pink flowery tapestry on the walls. Overall it was ok for a couple, but if going with someone else, might want to stay somewhere a bit nicer. I might go back with my husband, should I need to stay somewhere in that area. Læs mere

My hotel room was already paid for and was unaware of a $50.00 room key deposit that had to be paid using a credit card. They do not tell you this when you book the room!

Although the marble is very nice, the hotel needs some updating and fresh paint. The wallpaper was marked with marker, as well as the headboard of the bed and the furniture was worn. Not very impressive.

Noisy, unkept and just a bad night. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. breakfast was day old muffins (I seen the package) and sorry looking cereal. Only saving grace was the staff was friendly.

The place is a bit far from the Yonge street and the subway so the transportation to downtown is an issue if you do not have vehicle. The hotel has plenty of rooms. Rooms are big and clean. Beds are clean and comfortable. In overall I suggest it if you have a car.

We booked this room knowing it was not the best of hotels but the condition and attitude of the staff was shocking. The bed was concave, toliet dirty, stains and burn marks everywhere. The floor we were on was like a fratenity house- all the doors were open and people were partying everywhere with music blasting and nobody cared. I did not even stay […] the night it was so bad and when I went to the front desk if you call it that to tell them and check out they did not even care or offer a thing. good for being close to downsview park, not the greatest otherwise...

I had stayed at this hotel a few times in the past but it has been a few years since I had been there. I chose this hotel primarily for the location. It is directly across the street from Mayfair West tennis centre where I was playing in an tournament. The hotel is clean but it is rather tired now. The beds are marshmellow soft so if you don't like […] soft beds book somewhere else. The facility is also a banquet hotel and every weekend there seems to be a wedding or prom there so it can get a bit noisy. Læs mere

Based on the reviews we expected more. We were up from the States to visit friends. The room phone did not work so we could not make local calls. The internet did not work either. The staff thought we were crazy when we kept on calling. After the third time they had to come up to see it for themselves. The room rate seemed good, but as one might expect in such cases, unless you intend to be very self-sufficient, you may not get everything you want (by way of hotel service). I had booked one of the banquet halls during the evening of my stay and had to store some heavy equipment in the suite after the event was over. The next day I sought a cart to […] move this equipment out in time for checkout, but reception could not locate it (the extent of their effort might have been to just look at the security cameras). It seemed as though they had only one cart for the whole hotel! Worse still, when I had asked whether I could borrow a cart from banquet instead, I was met with a look of annoyance (the receptionist assumed I was asking for the same (bell) cart - but even if I were, I think it's a reasonable expectation to have a cart of *some* sort available to you for checkout). Nonetheless, the gentleman whom I assume to be the banquet manager/supervisor was helpful, and thanks to my friends and family, I was able to get things moved out in time. Læs mere

I was very pleased with the staff and cleanness of this hotel, the continental breakfast was very good, and i would stay at the Montecassino again and recommend it to my friends.

Considering the good price, the proximity to the airport and the side streets I traveled to arrive there, I was initially concerned about this hotel, but once we walked in the lobby - I was VERY pleasantly surprised! The hotel was spotless - the banquet rooms were bustling with activity and the room itself was clean and very nicely decorated. I drove all night (550 miles each way)to play in a tennis tournament directly across the street at the health club. I arrived at 8am, and asked if they could possibly give me a room with super early check in as Im super tired. They hooked me up with a room that seemed like is was for Handicapped as it was very large and super large bathroom. I guess […] I got lucky, but all credit to the hotel! Found a dirty towel and called for a clean one, but never came. I had to go to the front desk to get a clean towel. The freezer in the room was not available because there were old ice cream bars stuck in the cave of ice. Otherwise, it was okay.

C'est un hôtel propre et peu cher, idéal pour des séjours de courte durée. Dans un quartier ou il n'y a pas grand chose à distance de marche mais non loin d'une station de métro et facile d'accès en voiture (près de la 401). Gros centre d'achat à 5 minutes de voiture. Le lobby peut être difficile à trouver au début, car il faut se rendre au 2e.

En nuestro caso solo estuvimos una noche de paso, como era nuestro plan. Es econòmico lo cual se presta para usarlo por una noche. Falta un poco de organizaciòn en las zonas comunes.
