This hotel is within minutes walking on the SW side of the main train station. This area appears to be nicer than the NE side of the station. The breakfast staff is very friendly, and the food selection is excellent. We have a room on the ground level towards the back of the hotel, and it was extremely quiet at night.

We chose this hotel because of the known name and the proximity to the train station and it was a good choice. Less than five minutes to the train station and a short walk to all of the major attractions we wanted to see. Stayed here in July. Excellent location, clean room. Breakfast ok, enough to start your engine. Service was great, fast and efficient. Will stay again.

Just back from a 7 day stay at the hotel. Location was great - close to the main train station and square to get to buses/trains and also very close to a square with choice of restaurants. The staff were friendly & helpful. Would certainly stay there again if ever lucky enough to be back in beautiful Florence.

the room was huge; the breakfast was excellent and included, price was great. location was convenient to train but sketchy near the square where vagrants/druggies hang out. didn't feel good at night walking around. a/c was poor.

From all the hotels we have stayed in Europe, this one is one of the best 4 start hotels. The only thing we found that was not very confortable was the shower. This one is located on the side wall of the bathtub limiting the space you move into. We noticed this is very common in other European cities. My husband and I were traveling with three of our adult children and each of the rooms were awesome. Recommend this hotel to anyone who will be in Venice.

The location was excellent. The staff was good. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean. However, the climate control in the room did not work. The hotel controlled it. It was too cold on our first night's stay (and we couldn't turn it off). I told the staff the following morning, and they automatically turned it off via their computer, in one […] click (but didn't explain anything to us). So, the second night was pretty hot and we couldn't turn it on at all. Since it was the end of June and quite hot, on the third night, I asked them if they could do something to make it cool it a little, and they said yes, and they adjusted it again on their computer. The temperature was good on the third night. The problem is that there is a thermostat on the wall, and it lights up and looks like you can control it, turn it up and down, and turn it on and off.. A tired hotel that needs some updating. Room was clean, staff was friendly, location was okay - just nothing very exciting overall.

My husband and I currently spent 4 nights at Hotel Rivoli in Florence and found it to be an awesome spot. I can be picky about hotel rooms, but I found this one to be extremely comfortable. Our room was very large, two wardrobes and huge flat screen tv (not that you need one when you're visiting Italy!) and a beautiful terrace overlooking the city. […] The hotel is very well kept- the carpet in the room needed to be replaced, but honestly, I can't thing of another default. The breakfast was above average, considering the basics are pastries and the wait staff was so friendly. The location is perfect. The SMN train station is a 5 minute walk (we weren't looking for cabs or lugging our suitcases around town) and the Piazza Santa Maria Novella is only a few steps away. That being said, we walked about 5 minutes before we were in the Piazza de Repubblica, which is considered the heart of the city. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here the next time I visit the city. We selected the hotel based on some of the reviews and the location. We found the hotel staff to be very helpful, extremely friendly, and wanted for nothing during our stay. Franccesca, Front Desk, was an absolute delight. We were tired after our first day of travel and walking around and opted for dinner at the hotel restaurant. The service was amazing […] and the dinner and service was among the best meals we had on our entire vacation. The pesto sauce and risotto should be packaged and sold and exported. The location and neighborhood is perfect for people who want to park their car for a couple of days and explore Florence. There is a parking charge, but it too is reasonable and the valet service means once you get to the hotel, you don't have to search for a parking lot or find your way to the lot on all the one way streets Francesca told us about the fines you get for driving in certain zones. The GPS didn't tell us that, but with her help and expertise, we didn't have to worry about the tickets. She walked us through the paperwork upon our arrival. Breakfast was wonderful and you have a choice between the traditional meats and cheeses or the full blown American bacon and eggs breakfast if that is what you want. Meals are served either in the breakfast room or a well maintained patio / garden area. As for street noise mentioned in one of the revies, our room was on the side street side of the hotel. This hotel is close many sights however, upon check in we were met with an unfriendly receptionist. We tried our best to communicate our needs but she insisted we had to get a different room. I think she doesn't like Hotels.com.. Unfortunate for them. The room was ok, larger than most rooms in Europe. Bed was really hard. If the front desk staff had the same attitude as the breakfast staff we would give this hotel a much better rating. Unfortunatly they did not so we give this a hotel a marginal recommendation. We arrived at the hotel tired from a long flight (red-eye,one connection= 11hours travel time). So we pretty much went right to sleep at 5pm Euro time only to find hotel staff entering the room (not sure we ever heard a knock) and proceeding without regard that we were in the bed sleeping, claiming to be restocking the mini bar. We did not appreciate […] this and found it rather fishy, since we were basic-ly "out of it". I mentioned it to the reception desk the following morning and they claimed it was probably legitimate and downplayed it. After all that, we left the "do not disturb note-light" ON the next day but came back to find the beds made, so apparently the staff is quite over -eager to get in the room to take care of stuff that maybe you may not want. I'm not knocking the other part of the stay at the hotel as it was nice, clean, nothing turned up missing and otherwise was the perfect location and stay. Læs mere

This hotel is built over a medieval covent and its architecture is surprising. Rooms seem to be very different, ours was just fine, but others had nice balconies overlooking the central patio. We stayed here recently for two nights. Great location, great space - a solid 4 star hotel. The location was very near Piazza Santa Maria Novella – a Florence staple close to the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. Rooms: The summer heat was starting to kick in, and the air conditioning was very good. Rooms and bathrooms were good sized. Our rooms were on the […] street, and the windows provided excellent sound insulation from the street noises to allow for a good nights' sleep. Service and Food: The complimentary breakfast was very good and the garden dining area was a great way to start the day. However, we would NOT recommend having dinner at the hotel's restaurant. While the serving staff were very nice, the food was terrible. And very expensive! The hotel has a nice bar and several sitting areas. If you get a chance to chat with bartender Sani, he was definately a highlight for us. Super helpful and so friendly - we really enjoyed meeting him. What a great hotel, I would stay again and would HIGHLY recommend! The grounds were awesome, the people, amazing! We had a problem with the hotel blowdryer,( it was the Italian Independence Day) the main-worker was off so the bellman had to go to 4 different hotels to find us one. My husband and I stayed her in mid October. It was in a great location! We could walk to everything! The room was decent. In the US it would be more like a 2 or 3 star. But, the staff was very helpful, spoke English very well, and were very friendly. Breakfast every morning was pretty good. Great coffee. Not much fresh fruit though. Rooms were clean and adequate; the carpets were becoming noticeably worn. The staff was courteous and friendly. There is a very noisy street in front of the hotel but they have shutters, and two layers of windows to block the sound. We enjoyed the breakfast which was included during our stay. I requested the wifi service (the charge is for a 24 hour […] period). While the wifi connectivity was vey strong, actual connectivity to the internet was intermittent and only available for about 3 of the 24 hours. My husband and i arrived in florence after spending one night in Pisa, we arrived at the santa maria novella station which is just around the corner from the hotel. We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon to be greeted by a very friendly receptionist who also had a good level of english. The rooms were very clean and a good size for europe. Hotel trés sympa et trés confortable . Accés facile à pied plein centre de Florence ( 2 minutes ) . Prévoir surcoût pour le parking car impossible de se garer dans le quartier. Rien à reprocher . Un peu cher qd même mais bon tout est relatif ...car les hotels 3 ou 4 étoiles à Florence ne sont pas donnés..

Hotel muy cercano a Piazza Novella, y a unas 05 bloques del Duomo, y a 03 Bloques de la Estación de Tren!! Llegamos muy bien a pie desde la Estación Ferroviaria!! Desde el Hotel, se encuentra todo Florencia, a pie accesible!! En el Hotel nos ayudaron con las Entradas, a conseguir Entradas Pre-Reservadas al Museo de la Academia y al Museo Uffizzi. En […] la Plaza Novella hay simpáticos y buenos restaurantes para cenar de Noche. Se recomieda visitar la Iglesia Santa Maria Novella, la Iglesia San Lorenzo, el Palazzo Medici-Riccardi y el Duomo. Todos los aspectos del hotel Rivoli son mas que excelentes. Sus precios son bastante bajos pero eso no hace que el hotel este a la altura de los mejores hotels. La ubicación es perfecta, la atención y sobre todo el hotel esta divino. Si estan planeando unas vacaciones a Florencia consideren este Hotel ya que no se arrepentirán

駅から近く、主要観光地にすべて徒歩でいける。ホテル内はとてもかわいらしく、満足できました。

We were pleased with this hotel. The breakfast was excellent, the staff helpful and the location is convenient. We were able to walk to the major museums and sights. One minor point, the elevator and some of the corridors are rather narrow and this makes moving luggage a bit difficult.

Bra hotell - gångavstånd till större delen av alla kända attraktioner. Mycket bra&trevlig personal. Lite minus för en trist gata som hotellet ligger vid.

Le service était parfait - personnel très qualifié. le seul défaut c'est la climatisation qui fait du bruit et que l'on ne sait pas comment arréter.

Parfait pour un gros we à Florence. L'accueil est excellent, les employés parlent tous français, sont disponibles et efficaces. La chambre était très bien et très propre peut-être aurait-elle pû avoir un peu plus de cachet. Petit dej très bon. Vraiment rien à redire.

Nos gusto, servicio de desayuno bien agradable y completo, ducha un poco pequeña pero bien equipada. la TV tipo plasma muy chico. Lo demas bien comodo al estilo europeo.
