Hotellet var rigtig pænt og værelserne også, flot pool. Det tog dog længere tid end forventet at køre ind til byen, ca 25 min, hvilket var lidt ærgeligt ikke at bo inde i selve New Orleans. Området var dog udemærket, mange restauranter og et kæmpe shoppingcenter i nærheden! Men en forstad, ikke en del af New Orleans by. Vi spiste morgenmad på Ihop der ligger i forlængelse af hotellet, og det var rigtig godt og belejligt! Hotellets ansatte var behjælpelige men ikke super servicemindede.

Hel fantastisk hjælpsomhed i receptionen.Kan lade bilen stå og gå rundt og se alt i byen.Udflugtturen til plantagerne er en stor oplevelse men man kan spare ca det halve hvis man kører selv.

Et lille fint hotel ca 10 km udenfor centrum. Der er dog imgen udenomsarealer, hvor man kan sidde og slappe af. Fint som stop og go hotel

"Excellent hotel and service"
Staff were very service minded and professionel. Hotel room were tip-top and everything lived up to our expectations. The fitness fascilities and the pool on the roof-top were fantastic. We really recommend this hotel and will stay there again next time we come to New Orleans.

The only complaint was the buffet breakfast on Thursday morning. It was 30 minutes before closing buffet and should have been closed then because the food had been out to long. . We were offered fresh soft scrambled eggs but they were cold and over cooked. The coffee was not hot. Grandson ordered a waffle but was served pancakes. We visited New Orleans for a wedding. The Renaissance was located very close to the reception and a few really excellent restaurants. We also were only a short distance from Canal Street and were able to walk to a number of places before the wedding. Very clean, great experience. Thanks!

Hotel was ok. Nice and friendly staff. However, bed was hard and uncomfortable. The hotel is a long walk to bourbon street / French quarter area. $13 for Internet per day is outrageous. Price from Hotels.com was good bargain.

Don't bother paying for "Executive Level" if you're staying over a wekkend as the lounge is closed more often than open. Folks manning the front desk could have been more accommodating--both at check-in as well as check-out,

Pros: This hotel was in a perfect location, far enough away to not be right in the middle of the hustle/bustle but close enough to walk to where everything was. It's 5 stories, rooms were clean & decor is very modern/wonderful! Very affordable and I usually stay at the W Hotel but this is definitely going to be the hotel of choice the next time I'm in town again. There are several places to park around the area that are more economical than the $28-$31 per night that valet service charges.I parked in a lot that was $20 (I left the car there from Sat. evening until Monday morning)on Julia & Magazine, which is walking distance from hotel. Also, if you plan on using in/out priveleges vs. just keeping car parked, there are meters along the hotel that are for max of 2 hrs. Cons: I asked on 2 different occasions for lotion/body wash & extra towels to be brought up. After waiting over an hr.&half,called downstairs & they seemed surprised that it hadn't been brought to me. When the guy finally got there, he apologized then told me he had dropped it off in the wrong room....I'm not really believing that though. Then two days later I asked again for some items & they never even brought any up. I never called to follow up after that since it was our last night there. "Clean and simple but fails on service"
The Renaissance Arts Hotel in New Orleans was clean and well designed. The parking personnel were friendly and helpful. The negative we experienced was our request for room service breakfast. We were told it would take 30 minutes but after waiting an hour, we canceled it. This is a perfect hotel, in the edgy warehouse/arts district. It is a few blocks walk to the French Quarter, but only a block from a wide range of contemporary art galleries and well established (Emeril's) restaurants. The decor is contemporary, with Chihuly glass chandeliers and a strong, modern art collection..and good art, in the guest rooms. "The diamond in the rough"
Though I find New Orleans, overall, a nasty, stinky city, I found this hotel to be very nice. I loved the pool/hot tub on the roof and the art placed throughout the hotel. My two only negatives would be: 1. over thirty dollars for valet parking is absolutely ridiculous, and 2. the front counter staff was helpful when asked but not as courteous as one […] would expect in a hotel of this stature. We stayed here one night before leaving on a cruise. Location is great - close to the port for cruises. It is in the business district but not that far from French Quarter or Garden District. "Wonderful stay"
We chose this hotel as it is within walking distance of our son's apartment and found it to be terrific. We normally stay at Bed & Breakfasts, but loved the convenience and comfort of the Renaissance Hotel. And the price was far lower than some others within a few blocks. It was an easy walk into the French Quarter or over to the Riverwalk area, very […] close to the convention center as well. Some renovations were going on in the lobby, but they didn't seem to interfere with anything. Rooms were very quiet and plenty of room. Also lots of counter space in the bathroom, a pet peeve of mine if lacking. The only negative is, as others have noted, the expense of using their parking. But plenty of street parking is available free just 2-3 blocks away. We never paid for parking and had no trouble finding a place. It is a safe neighborhood and we walked everywhere. Læs mere

"Renaissance Arts - a lot of money for not a lot."
Isn't it strange that the more you pay for a hotel, the fewer services you receive? At more cost effective hotels one generally gets free wifi, free breakfast, free newpapers delivered to your door in the morning. Not so at the Renaissance Arts. You get a room. The room is ordinary. Everything else is an extra fee. The hotel is not particuliarly well […] located - a 15 to 20 minute walk to the French Quarter. Taxis are readily available, but not cheap. "Top hotel"
Nothing more to say than top. Would definitely stay there again because it is a super hotel although it is not the cheapest one. The only thing to complain would be the high parking fees - more than 30$ a day and breakfast was not included in our room rate.

This hotel is remarkable, a true hidden gem. For the cost of a room, you get to enjoy works by local artists, so it's like having a gallery right in your own backyard! Everyone I encountered was pleasant and helpful. The ONLY complaint is the exorbinant amount charged for parking. Do yourself a favor - park on the street around 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday […] night, pay for the 1 hour, then it's FREE! No meter charges after 6:00 p.m. Saturday and zero on Sundays. "BEST HOTEL IN NEW ORLEANS"
STUNNING, LUXURIOUS, ULTIMATE COMFORT AND ABOVE AND BEYOND --THAT SUMS UP MY STAY AT THE RENAISSANCE ARTS IN NOLA'S WAREHOUSE DISTRICT. PERFECT LOCATION. NEWER HOTEL BUILT INTO AN OLD WAREHOUSE. STAFF WAS EXCELLENT. WILL NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE IN NOLA!

"One room was bad"
Although I had called ahead and spoken to a clerk at the front desk, the reservation was wrong when we got to the hotel. I had asked for two rooms with two beds in each room and only one room had two beds. The clerk was not sympathetic even though I informed her that I had called and been assured three days before that I had two rooms with two beds […] each. She found a room on a different floor with two beds which was not convenient since we were a family of four and wanted to be closer than that. The clerk said that was all she had. As I was leaving the desk, a supervisor asked if everything was OK and I explained my dissatisfaction. He was able to get us on the same floor. When we got to the rooms, one was dingy, dark, and hot with a terrible smell. It smelled like someone had tried to cover up another smell with a strong cleaning agent. It was so strong I was not able to stay in the room. My husband and son kindly took that room while my daughter and myself took the one down the hall. Our room was fine. The overall hotel was nice and our room was quiet and comfortable, but the other room was not. I do not like being told one thing only to arrive and find out differently. I would recommend this hotel but only if you speak to a manager about the room you want and get his name. Læs mere

"From work to play"
I had to work in the Greater New Orleans area and decided to take my husband and make a long weekend. The hotel staff was extremely accomodating from directions to parking to collecting our packages from stores that delivered to hotels. The pool area was clean and the work out facility was amazing. The location is a nice hike from the Quarter but we […] put on our walking shoes and enjoyed the walk. The warehouse district is one of my favorites in New Orleans. We enjoyed the surrounding restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. We have stayed in New Orleans a lot over the years but we will not think twice about staying at the Renaissance.
