Wyndham Garden Clearwater Beach - Clearwater Beach

Gammelt hotel, hvor gulvet i værelset var totalt skævt. Servicen var ikke specielt god. Ved ankomsten begyndte receptionisten at snakke om 15 $ pr. dag i afgift, selvom alt skulle være inkl. i prisen fra hotels.com. Det viste sig dog ved afrejse, at vi ikke skulle betale denne afgift. Hotellet vinder helt klart på sin beliggenhed med egen strand og […] gåafstand til Clearwater Beach og havnen. Der er en afgift på 25 $ pr. dag (15 $ efter kl. 14.00) for at benytte et sæt af hotellets solvogne, hvilket er ret dårligt, når det er en privat strand. Man kan dog gratis låne håndklæder og ligge sig på stranden. Værelsets renhed var ok. Undgå at spise på restauranten Gondoliers, der ligger på den anden side af vejen, da maden mildest talt er elendig. Vi kan i særdeleshed anbefale restaurant Backwater's, som ligger på Sand Key få km fra hotellet. Her er både mad og service helt i top. Wyndham Garden bør vælges på sin beliggenhed. Læs mere

Lækkert hotel - dog lidt dyrt ift. de øvrige hoteller vi boede på, på rundturen i Florida. Lækkert at kunne tage elevatoren ned og gå 50 meter og så stå i vandkanten.

The location was great, the hotel was clean but outdated. I would definitely stay here again, its right on the beach, good value for the price.

This stay was OK. Air Conditioner a little noisy and not really keen on those Duvets. I find them too warm to stay under.

room was a little small.chargimg 25$ for 2 lounge chairs on the beach daily was too costly.the price to stay and loaction were good.the one thing that really bothered me was the parking.every night we came back from dinner there were no spots avalible.need more parking spaces

The hotel isn't fancy, but it was clean and a couple of minor maintenance issues were addressed immediately. We loved the location with its own beach so we could run back up to the room if we forgot anything. We had seen mixed reviews about this hotel so we werent sure what to expect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. View and access to the beach was amazing, walking distance to everything Clearwater beach, food in the restaurant was really good!

Horrible. Our room was not ready at check in time. We stayed on the 5th floor and the windows looking over the pool near the elevator opened with no screen. Our 3 year old opened them and showed us. The foyer had glass in the floor. We requested a king bed and received two queens. Very disappointed with theirs hotel!

I was disappointed that the hotel was better for the price. Had a good view of the beachview. The description said there were microwaves in the room but there wasn't. They had one located in the lobby for use. The refrigerator wasn't really cold.

Its an old Best Western That Wyndam bot...Looks like they are still in the process or trying to spruce things up,and the have alot of sprucing to do.Beach is too small and on an inlet.You can walk a quater mile to the public beach its better or make your way to North Clearwater Beach.I wont be returning to this hotel.

Hotel was okay, but was frustrating.... Was supposed to have microwave, and didn't. Had to pay $15 per day resort fee, through Hotels.com, only to have to pay $25 a day to use one of their cabana's...which consisted of two lounge chairs and an umbrella. Desk staff was of no help with regards to these items....

I feel that the price was a little high for what they offer! Why do we get charged resort fees and then charged money to rent the cabana chairs on the beach??? I mean really and then we were told the guys would come take our drink orgers and any food and we never saw them!!! This was our girls weekend when you pay what we did a night I just expect better […] service!!! We would never pay that price again for the service. our room was small, but nice and clean! The beds were great, but we came for the beach and the sun, and to be waited on!!! The beach area is much smaller then it appears in the photos and the pool was so small and crowded!!! This was my 2nd stay in Clearwater Beach, but my first stay at Wyndham Garden. The private beach was really nice as we didn't have that at our hotel last year. In my opinion, the water wasn't quite as clear as it is just a few hotels down, but that's probably b/c Wyndham Garden is just between Clearwater Bay and the Gulf. But the water was still very […] nice, although cool, and calm for the kids. The kids in our party enjoyed the pool more b/c the pool water was warmer. The restroom located near the pool was very clean. I think hotel guests should be allowed to use the lounge chairs & umbrellas for free though, but I knew in advance that there was an extra charge. The renovations to the rooms are very nice, but the hallways still need updating. Don't let the walk to your room scare you the first time...the rooms are much nicer than the hallways. We never ate at the restaurant in the hotel as we thought the prices were a little high. We did eat at the Gondalier Restaurant across the street for both breakfast and dinner. Both were good. The homemade, fresh daily desserts looked delicious, but we were always so full that we never actually tasted them. We visited Winter at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which was really cool...highly recommend the Sea Safari and Behind the Scenes tour there. We also visited Sand Key Park one day. The water seemed warmer over there, but there are more waves, so you have to watch the children extra carefully. Sunsets at Pier 60 is a nice way to end the evening. We ate at Crabby Bill's one night for dinner...I had the crab cake sandwich...not the best I'd ever eaten, but pretty good. We love Clearwater Beach & would definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff and service at this hotel is WONDERFUL!!! We got married on the beach in Clearwater and chose the hotel to stay in. The staff here could not have been more helpful and accomodating on the room, the view, super speedy room service and just being so nice!! We loved it - you have to stay here!!

Location was nice and private beach was the reason to stay here. Rooms themselves were clean. Facilities were slightly run-down; there was never any ice, the workout room was pitiful. Our hotel experience was wonderful. We enjoyed every minute on Clearwater beach. Our only problem is with the pillows!!! They are horrible!!!

Obviously, this is an older facility which has been recently renovated. They have done a nice job with the upgrades. The value of the hotel makes this one to come back to again.

This hotel is beautiful because of the location. The beach is clean, uncrowded, and comfortable. The frustrating thing about this stay is nothing was included in the price of the room! No free breakfast, no microwave in the room, pay if you'd like a chair on the beach, etc. Also, we had to wait until 6:30 P.M. one day for our room to be cleaned!

This is apparently a former Best Western property. Room service was available, but there was no place to sit and eat. It was the farthest hotel from most of the popular restaurants on the beach and I didn't have a car. TV not very good - some of the channels had a red haze. My room was clean, but small. Wyndham Garden Clearwater Beach is a nice, clean, comfortable hotel located on a small, quiet stretch of beach. It is not connected to the larger Clearwater Beach but makes up for it in less foot traffic. Happy with the hotel overall except for the inflated price for a single night on the beach. Not impressed by this room at all. We went there with our four children and it is not very children friendly. The picture it shows of the room is not what you get. Our room was outdated, old tv, cable reception was horrible. We just overall were not impressed with this hotel. The staff were not very interested in us being there it seemed, prior to us […] even checking in to see our room we inquired about staying another night and the clerk was not even interested in trying to fulfill our request. Had a short stay, buy enjoyed ourselves!

hotel was very hard to get to with local traffic jams. It took over two hours to cross the causeway to get 5 or 6 miles. Halls and rooms are outdated Large a/c units stuck in the walls are very loud. The waterfront location is all this place has going for it.

Costly to stay there especially when they charge you for drinks out on the beach. You can't take a cooler there or any of your own drinks.

The room was nice, comfy bed. Location is misleading it is not on Clearwater beach and when it says it is a beachfront view that means you are looking at the sand key bridge. You cannot even walk the beach down to main part of Clearwater beach. Not worth the money.

Really nice location overlooking the Sand Bridge.

i was dissapointed from the beginning of our stay, the description said all rooms have water views but that's not true, we overlooked a parking lot and had to look at a subway sign. I was dissapointed with the front desk staff. They weren't very professional. I was outraged that you have to pay for lounge chairs on the beach. You are paying to stay […] at the hotel ??? I was told it was one price then found out it was more when I got out there! I felt that the staff didn't communicate with one another. I was given plastic utensils with my room service! Not once but everytime. I finally had to say something! I paid an 18% gratuity for plastic untensils!!! The ice machine was out of order the whole time of our stay and the staff just said to go to a different floor> no apology; customer service is what it's all about!!! This is a great place. We stayed 5th floor ocean side because we got a great discount from Hotels.com Rooms were a little bit biggers than most, and nicely decorated. Tile floors, sliding door that opens to a small patio overlooking the pool, the beach, and the ocean. Very friendly, and funny staff. Lovely hotel right on the water' Newly remodeled . Bright and beautiful. The staff was very attentive. The pool and poolside bar were great and it had its own beachfront. Really loved the decor.

We just spent 8 glorious nights at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at how well kept this hotel was. The room was very pretty, and the bedding was FABULOUS !! Very cozy beds, very spacious rooms and bathroom. Loved the dressing area outside the bathroom. We have NO complaints with this hotel at all. The staff was excellent, the grounds and pool […] very well kept, the view is beautiful, just an overall great place to stay. Very family oriented place to stay. It's conventiently located close to restaurants, and within walking distance to the public beach. The only recommendation I would give to this hotel is to add some positional chaise lounge chairs at their pool. If you can't afford to rent the cabana during your stay, then the only choice if you're avid tanners is to lay on a beach towel on the beach. This is an excellent hotel in the moderate price range for the area. It has a new, clean appearance and is essentially on the beach. It also is close to recreational areas in the area, yet removed just enough to offer some quiet for the traveler. We made a quick visit to Clearwater and spent the night here. It was a good, solid hotel. It seemed to have been recently renovated and in pretty good shape. There was a small private beach and a pool and both were well maintained. Our room was very clean with new floors and new furniture. The security latch on the sliding glass door was broken, but […] the regular lock was fine. My only complaint is that despite the renovations some of the building seemed a little old. We stayed only one night here before leaving to come home. The hotel is average, it's older and they have done some updates. Room was comfortable enough and clean. The shower was not great and they had a plumbing problem at the time whereas the tub would not drain properly. The beach was average at best.
