Vi havde et dejligt ophold på Villa des Artistes, som ligger i et fint område og meget tæt på metroen. Personalet var søde og imødekommende. Vi valgte oprindeligt et klubværelse, men af forskellige årsager endte vi med et Arty værelse. Klubværelset var størst, men Arty værelset var klart det dejligste og mest moderne (og også det dyreste). Der er ret […] stor forskel på de to typer. Arty værelset havde et bedre badeværelse, var mærkbart nyere og havde en markant bedre udsigt til flotte parisiske hustage (hvor klubværelset havde udsigt direkte til en mur). Vi var meget glade for Arty værelset. Vær opmærksom på at klubværelset har et meget lille pengeskab - der vil næppe kunne være et spejlreflekskamera og slet ikke en ipad eller en bærbar computer. Arty værelset har et markant større pengeskab. Vær også opmærksom på, at det gratis trådløse internet (som iøvrigt fungerede upåklageligt) binder sig til den computer/telefon/ipad, der først bruger forbindelsen. Man kan dermed ikke bruge flere forskellige computere på samme forbindelse. Der er ikke kaffemaskine/kedel på værelserne, men man kan få en elkedel og kopper ved henvendelse til personalet. Læs mere

HVis man vil bo det rigtige sted i Paris så er området her det rigtige , det er super nemt at komme herfra og rundt til div. steder. La Copole ligger 200 m fra hotellet sørg for at spise der det er top. Hotellet er rigtig fint ,rent og der er lige præcis hvad man har brug for .... til pengene er det mere end godkendt.

Dejligt hotel beliggende i et roligt kvarter. Værelsen lå ud til en lille, velholdt gård med træer. Så den begrænsede udsigt var ganske dejlig. Hotelpersonalet var yderst venlige og hjælpsomme. Fra hotellet er der kort til Metro, som gør det nemt at komme omkring i hele Paris. I området omkring hotellet ligger der mange spisesteder i varierende prisklasser. […] Hvis man bevæger sig lidt væk fra de store boulevarder er der mere ro fra trafiken. Hotellet ligger i en lille sidegade til Boulevard Montparnasse og lige op ad Vivan-metroen og Gare de Montparnasse, så du er enormt centralt og har transportmidlerne ved hånden. Der ligger en fantastisk række af charmerende og autentiske caféer og restauranter i nabolaget, der kun findes her. I det hele taget ligger hotellet på grænsen mellem Montparnasse […] og Saint Germain, hvilket gør at hele latinerkvarteret udfolder sig ved hoveddøren. Hotellets betjening er venlig og hjælper dig uden at blinke, når du spørger om de særeste ting; hvordan du finder en iransk restaurant; hvor den nærmeste sportspub er og giver selv gode råd om hvor henne der er god morgenmad (på trods af, at hotellet selv serverer relativ billig morgenmad). Værelserne er ikke overvældende store, men der er rigeligt plads til 2-3 stykker. Godt bareværelse med badekar og lækker bruseniche. Aircondition på værelset (hvilket er en særdeles stor fordel i den franske sommer), der fungerer upåklageligt. My 14 yr. old son and I wanted to spend two nights in Paris to see the Eiffel tower and visit a friend. The Villa des Artistes was a great little hotel with a modern bathroom with a lovely tub, calming decor, comfortable beds, quiet, and a classic Parisian roof top view out of the window (4th floor). I could lean out on the balcony and feel I was in […] a movie about Paris, watching the people walking up and down the little street. Very classic Parisian. Lots of restaurants around, very safe, close to the loop of the tourist double decker buses, the metro and the Velib bike rentals. The most amazing thing was the service. My son emptied the safe of all his electronics and I assumed he took out everything. Being 14, he only took his items. We ended up leaving a travel wallet with about seven hundred dollars in the open safe! Later in the day, traveling to Amsterdam on the bullet train, we realized the money had been left. I emailed the hotel from the train, asking if they had found the money, thinking we would never see it again. Miraculously, they had it and Corinne, the manager, was able to use Western Union to return it to me. She replied immediately to my first email and was so helpful, establishing when we would be back in the states and finding the Western Union offices, etc. She had to go to the bank to convert the dollars to euros in order to send them to us (to be converted again into dollars!). The room was clean and simple. The bad was comfy, bsthroom little too small, but sufficient. Very close to the train station RER from the airport, and no 4 metro line is 50 meters from the hotel. Good cafe's near by. Overall, good value for money, we paid 180 aero per night.

A great area that gives the impression of the 'real' Paris and not just the tourist traps. Hotel is fine in all the areas that matter, Location, cleanliness,friendlines, helpfulness etc. However I booked this hotel as I use a wheelchair and found it very difficult to find an accessible room advertised in Paris, I was expecting that there would be a […] level access shower or wet room but although there was a bar In the bath and beside the toilet(not the heavy duty ones that would be required by some people) and the sink would allow a wheelchair be wheeled under it, the shower was in the bath which was narrow as already reported by countless others. the bathroom was very spacious and well decorated and would have been ideal for a wet room situation with a wall mounted seat and grab rails,I imagine that, from some of the other comments, able bodied users would also welcome this addition, This consideration apart, we had a lovely stay and would return tomorrow. My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. It was really close to the metro stop Vavin, and had a park nearby as well as a laundromat and lots of restaurants and supermarkets. Rooms were a good size - comfortable and clean. Air con in our first room didn't work so they happily transferred us. Staff were mostly very nice and helpful. I loved the location of the hotel because it was in a nice quiet neighbourhood with loads of good restaurants in the area. Close to public transport as well. I like the fact you get out of the usual hectic tourist areas so it suits my tastes. You can't go wrong with this hotel. Staff nice and friendly. Rooms spotless.

The hotel was standard Paris level of comfort - good bed and not much else of comfort in the room. The best I can say it was centrally located in a nice portion of Paris. The worst was the shower was almost unusable and when water leaked from the bathroom above the last night of my stay. They offered to move me to another room but the leaking stopped […] so I chose to stay there the last night. The next time in Paris I will definitely try another hotel. Læs mere

Very clean and affordable room. Location was good in terms of a lot of restaurants, proximity to metro, and liveliness. However, I would have wanted to stay closer to the sites because I was more interested in walking everywhere rather than public transportation

My husband and I were very disappointed in the service we received at this hotel! The air conditioning was broken for 2 days in our room. We were told by the desk manager to just open our windows. We were given just one wi-fi code for our room that was only allowed by one computer. My husband and I each had our lap tops with us for our respective businesses, […] yet I could not use mine! The desk manager did not explain this to us when we arrived and just handed us a code. This code had to be changed every day! The reception desk people were extremely rude! We loved the location of this hotel, the staff were helpful and most were friendly. It helps if you speak some French. Great location, with a ton of restaurants, bakeries, and cafes just minutes away, including crepe-central (literally a street with 8 creperies on it) and a bar one block away that does eggs for breakfast if you're craving them. Room […] was small as was the double bed (totally expected in Paris). Weird "modern" decor and lighting fixtures were the downside. Lift and hallways very small, so don't bring a lot of luggage. This hotel is great for Paris on a budget. The rooms are clean and nice. The front desk is very helpful with the exception of an older gentleman, who never called a taxi for us when we were trying to make our guided English Louvre tour. Don't eat the breakfast buffet for 16 euros each, when there is a cafe around the corner that sells delicious pastries, […] sandwiches, and snacks for a fraction of the cost. The Best Western A La Villa Des Artistes was simply perfect for me. The location, the friendly staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. I feel fortunate to have selected this hotel as I quite literally stumbled upon the Luxembourg Palace park. During the spectacularly sunny […] weekend, families with children by the score enjoyed the sun playing tennis, soccer, chess, cards, bocce ball, and more - I felt like I was part of a painting or a poem observing true Parisian life in the making. My daughter and I just returned from a week's stay at Villa des Artistes in Paris. We were very pleased. Best Western Villa des Artistes lived up to our idea of a small, European hotel on a winding quiet side street off a big boulevard. Hotel is in a good location; near Luxembourg Park and metro for the Eiffel Towers and Notre Dame. Hotel is on a quiet street, but close to restaurants. Hotel room was adequate, but needs some fixing up like holes in the walls. Double bed was actually two twin beds. Air conditioner did not work properly. Might be a problem in the summer when it gets […] really hot. Bath tub was really high so might be difficult for children or petite women to get into/out. The hotel is okay, the bathrooms are all modern, but the carpets and wallpaper in the rooms is rather tired and dirty.

A nice little hotel in a great location, easy to find, and super close to 3 metro stations. I arrived at the hotel early, and even though check in was not until 3pm, they let me check in as the room was available. The desk staff were extremely nice and accomodating. This is a clean, cute place in a GREAT neighborhood with really no extras. I don't think there was a gym and I couldn't get the wireless to work in my room but how can you go wrong with a morning run in nearby Jardim du Luxembourg? For a 3star hotel this was good value for money. The friendly helpful staff made the stay enjoyable. I forgot something in the room and they even made the effort to mail it back to me! The rooms were clean and the location is very good. If their rate is your budget I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I have the opportunity to go to Paris […] again I will stay in the same hotel. The hotel is very well located next to a metro station Vavin line 4 giving one access to the entire city. Staff very kind and friendly with the exception of one skinny guy with gray hair and glasses. The staff at this hotel was exceptionally helpful, especially Robin who took the time to draw me directions to the train/bus station upon my departure. The room was adorable and very clean and modern.... Would definately stay here again and recommend to anyone traveling to Paris....

This hotel was my second choice for our 25th wedding anniversary visit to Paris. The original choice failed to respond to my internet booking and when contacted personally could not have been less interested. By contrast, everything about the Villa des Artistes was efficient, friendly and welcoming. The check-in process was effortless, the room was […] clean, quiet and of an adequate size, the a/c worked effectively over a weekend when temperatures hit 31 degrees and overall service was unobtrusive but efficient. The hotel is in a quiet side street just off the Boulevard de Montparnasse; there is a wide selection of bars and restaurants within minutes' walk. Also very close is the metro station Vavin, giving access to wider Paris. The Jardins de Luxembourg are 5 minutes walk away if greenery and space are required. The only downside was the cost per head of breakfast which was the same as a main course in one of the nearby restaurants. You will pay half the price at a local cafe, but ,in fairness, will not have the choice offered at the hotel. Although it may be a little further from the Left Bank/Seine/Louvre than some people would like, overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing for a short break in Paris - we would certainly go back. The guest room was small, but the picture was accurate. The room was nicely decorate, we actually stayed in the room #509 featured. A clerk at the desk an elderly guy or at least he appeared to be elderly that was quite rude. He insisted that we leave our key at the front desk whenever we left the hotel!!?!! We had been there 3 days going on 4 and had […] never heard this requirement before laying eyes on him. He actually locked the sliding glass door that night when he saw us coming because he didn't have our key and he said, "again you leave here without leaving your key!!!" Thank God that was the first and last night that he worked while we were there. We stayed 7 days. We had a friend in town as well that stayed in a hotel that was more upscale for only $40 dollars more a night and closer to Champs Elysees. I would stay there again. Læs mere

This hotel is perfect for a stay in Paris. It is located right beside a metro line which means no matter where you are in Paris you can always get back to the hotel easily. Breakfast was available in the hotel however we always chose to eat in any of the numerous nearby cafes and restaurants as they are cheaper. We had 2 twin rooms and they were great, […] very clean & comfortable the bathrooms were well stocked with toiletrees & loads of towels. Receptionists speak excellent english & are very helpful. We only had one week to stay in Paris and wanted to see it all. It's been 25 years since our last visit and with a free round trip ticket to Paris for my husband and I though our reward points all we needed was a comfortable, quite hotel where we could cleanup, get rest and take off. Money is tight right now in so may ways. We were able to economize […] our stay by using the hotel room refrigerator to stock cheese, fruit and baked goods. My husband and I have food allergies and are unable to take advantage of the breakfast buffet, but that was an extra that we did not have to pay for. Wonderful bakery around the corner, great places to eat within a two block area. Metro stop, ATM machine, grocery market all within a block. Very quite at night. We slept like kittens after a full day of playing. Would I stay there again. Yes!! I need to improve my French before returning to France again, but in all we had a wonderful stay and the staff was generally helpful. Læs mere

It was in a great location, right beside the metro station and 5 mins walk to Montparnasse Boulevard with all the shops, cafes and restaraunts. The area was nice and quiet at night which meant we had a great sleep! The room was lovely (club room), it had tv, mini bar, air conditioning etc. […] We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it was a bit pricey but there are plenty of nearby cafes for breakfast. Gostei muito do hotel. A localização é excelente - há duas linhas de metrô próximas - além de grande variedade de restaurantes. Os quartos são silenciosos e a noite de sono agradável. O café da manhã servido no hotel é caro, mas há duas opções de café da manhã na esquina. Atravessando a rua ainda é possível encontrar uma quitanda com frutas e outras […] coisinhas para lanche. Os quartos são pequenos, mas limpos. Um quesito que sempre me preocupa é o banheiro, e eu não tenho queixas. O bairro é muito bom - muitas lojas boas a duas quadras - e o hotel está bem próximo ao Jardim de Luxemburgo e a Torre de Montparnasse (ambos acessíveis facilmente a pé). Læs mere

Gostei muito da estadia. O quarto estava limpo, cama e banheiros bons. Silencioso. Recepção atenciosa. Até fizeram nosso check-in do voo pela internet. Café da manhã muito bom. O único porém é a localização. Não chega a ser ruim, mas não é tão perto do centro como Quartier Latin ou St. Germain. Mas acho que compensa pelo custo-benefício. Tem alguns […] restaurantes bons nas redondezas, como o Relais de l'Entrecote e o belga Leon (para comer mexilhões) e alguns de peixes do mar. Læs mere
