Once again a wonderful time. This hotel makes you happy from the driveway on the way in and the driveway as you leave. As you leave in your mind one says when will we be back.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. They gave us an upgrade at check in without asking and it was an amazing view. The hotel was very clean and worth the money.

Room was lovely .Nice bed and bathroom, but furniture and carpet was seedy and old, did not want to sit on sofa in living room

overpriced, ordered king bed and breakfast, neither showed up upon arriving. small bathrooms with single sink and no fan in bathroom, they did find us a room with a king bed

The Place was beautiful really quiet and private with an espectacular view to the ocean.

The restaurant next to the SPA was very good. The hotel is well located to go to Sanibel Island or somewhere else.

Beautiful place. Excellent Spa. Great staff. We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a long weekend at the Sanibel Marriott. The front desk staff (Dan, in particular) went out of his way to provide us with a beautiful suite and even moved us on our second night to give us an outstanding view of the harbor. The dinner cruise at the hotel was excellent as well. Overall, a great relaxing weekend.

This was a fabulous hotel and very convenient to Sanibel and captiva Islands. GREAT accomodations and we are very picky. I would give them a 10/10 across the board.

We will be going back to this Resort Hotel.

My niece and I spent the evening 12/27/2010 at your hotel and was very happy with the accomodations. The personnel were very accomodating, friendly and most helpful. The only problem we had was when we came back from using the spa facilities, turning down our beds, Kimberly Hochendoner's bed sheets were full of hairs. We immediately called the desk […] and requested clean sheets which they were very prompt and came within 10 minutes. They inspected the sheets and apologized, changed the bedding and then all was well. They sent up a box of nuts with their regrets. We loved the spa! Enjoyed it very much and then when we returned to our room, being relaxed after a all day trip, ended up ordering room service and ate our dinner in the room. We enjoyed our coffee on the balcony in the a.m. even though it was quiet cold but bundled up in the lovely robes that were at our disposable. Thank you for having such a lovely resort and employing only the best people. I plan on my husband and I visiting in 2011. We will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and I can't think of another hotel that I would enjoy as much as I enjoyed yours. Ann Williams 6581 W. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and were there to help us almost immediately. The concierge addressed me by name and explained all of the hotel's services and amenities. Our room was very clean and the view of the water was spectacular. Hotel staff was very accomodating and friendly. Hotel was beautiful, romantic. Great spa and location. I've stayed all over the world and it was one of the best hotels i've stayed in.

We have stayed at this resort multiple times in the past. Although still amazing, we were told many of the amenities were scaled down due to the economy. I was disappointed the trolley did not go to Sanibel Island, for example. Also, the room was not as clean as I would expect for a 4-star resort.

Big 2 BR, 2 BA condo with full kitchen. Absolutely great views. Easy to deal with. Ours had the A/C go out, but otherwise great. Very clean, very comfortable. The rooms needed a bit of updating, (tube TV's for example) but didn't detract from the experience.

This is a beautiful hotel and grounds with great sunsets. We saw at least 8 bottle-nose dolphins within fifteen minutes on the day we arrived from our room’s balcony. The concierge is extraordinary. The hotel was excellent. When we checked in they moved us to the Grand Bay hotel so we could self park without having to use the Trolley,etc. The only room available in the Grand Bay was suite, so they upgraded us at no extra charge. The room was beautiful and we had a great time.

I stay at MANY 5-star hotels nationwide yearly and this hotel rivals them. Amazing views from the rooms (all waterfront views), especially sunsets. Pictures I will treasure. Dolphins, Osprey, Pelicans, and other marine life and birds abound. The staff was so helpful with some business and personal needs (faxes/shipping/cribs). Sweetness! We arrived in the middle of a rainstorm and at check-in they upgraded us to a suite! The view from the hotel room balcony was fantastic. Everything was picture perfect, clean and well run. Kudos to the service personnel, attentive and friendly! A great place to stay if you love all the amenities of a resort. We dined at one of their restaurants, […] good choices and great food. We loved our stay and plan to return for a longer stay next time. We already recommended the hotel to our friends for their anniversary. They are loving it too! Just talked to them on the phone yesterday. As far as parking: There was no extra charge for parking unless you wanted to use their valet parking. They have a free little shuttle that will take you to your car. Resort fees apply - but then every hotel in the area charges a resort fee. All in all this resort hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel was very nice, and we had a good stay. Overall it was a good trip, but they charge a $15/day Exclusive Benefits Fee for amenities that should already be included in the price of the hotel. The fee is supposed to give you unlimited access to the tennis courts, spa (but not spa services), basketball courts, and unlimited coffee and tea in your […] room. These are amenities that come standard in most hotels and if it is listed as an amenity, then I do not expect to be charged extra for it. The restaurants seemed nice, but we did not go to the restaurants in the hotel because we are locals and went to other restaurants. Overall if you're looking for a place to stay and want everything in one hotel and don't want to leave, then this is a good place. But the costs can quickly add up. Læs mere

I took my son, who is one and my mother to this resort this past weekend.... When we arrived we were told that we were staying at the main hotel, even though we had paid extra for the grand bay suite.... I told them i was not happy and we were upgraded to a waterfront condo at bayview.... I was so happy because once i saw how far the walk is from grandbay […] to the main pool and restaurants... i did not want to stay there any more... Once we got to our room we were immediately greeted by a dead bug .. gross and some small ants.... The room was outdated but very large..... We were planning on spending most of our days at the pool anyways.... The restaurants on site were great... The tarpon house had a great breakfast.... and the courtside steakhouse was soooo good... but sooo expensive $160 for 2 people.. yikes.. but worth it.... Everyone working at the hotel was SO nice... Upon checkout i told them that we were unhappy with the ants.... the tv in the bedroom did not work well and asked if they could credit us the resort fee of $15 a night.. they immediatly did and were very nice... I plan to bring my husband here... but i do recommend staying at the Bayview condos or the main hotel... NOT grandbay Læs mere

Overall, we did enjoy our stay at this hotel. The water view room was terrific! The hotel is at the bridge to Sanibel which was a plus. The only negative thing I would say about this hotel is that it is not really geared for young children under 5. There were 4 pools none that were kiddie pools 3 ft along the edges.

We stayed in the condos not the hotel itself but they were still very nice. It was great having two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living/dining room available to us while on vacation. My only complaint is the beds were terribly hard. Still though, the condo was a great bargain for the price. Overall the property is peaceful and the staff was very friendly. […] Be forewarned though, there is a distinct odor on the property due to the stagnant water. Visited hotel week of August 28 to Sept 2, 2009. This was a quiet week. Not a lot of people. Perfect for us. We went without children and were looking for a quiet relaxing week. The fitness center and spa are way above average. All of the employees are very accomadating, helpful and ready to serve. Would definately visit again.

Our overall stay was very good. The staff were very friendly. The resort was very nice, however I would not have like to have payed the in season price which was very high for the resort. We stayed in the off season and the hotel was very good for the rate that we paid. The parking was my biggest complaint. The self-parking was a little bit of a walk. […] The price of the valet parking was too high. We stayed in the off season and we thought that we should have been able to park in the parking garage. We recently went to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. The hotel was worth the price, but all the "extras" added up quickly. It was $15 a day to have access to the pool and gym, whether you used them or not. Also $20 a day to park. I guess these are normal fees these days but you have to take them into account. We had an amazing view from our room, but […] the room was a little outdated and there were stains on some of the furniture. i booked this hotel through hotels.com excited about the prospect of staying at in Sanibel. However, when I called Sanibel harbour to try and reschedule my booking, the staff was not willing to accomodate my change in plans. I had the weekend scheduled as a surprise to my hosband for his birthday, unfortunately I got called into work as there was a […] change in coverage at my place of employment. I attempted to initially cancel the reservation because of this, but was told that hotel policy would not allow this. This I was told that any changes that needed to be made would have to be done so through hotels.com. I called hotels.com and asked for assistance. They explained that as stated in their policy they could cancel the reservation but hotel poicly stated otherwise. Hotels.com did call the hotel to try to troubleshoot on my behave, but was meet with resistance and a refusal to accomodate my changes. When we inquired as to whether or not a change in date could be feasible we were given the run around. I essentially lost the entire room night at this hotel and would not recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to be stress free. Læs mere

Great hotel-beautiful view and very comfortable room. Beautiful pool and outdoor dining. Did not like the added 15.00 daily utilization fee--was to cover the use of the spa, exercise room, in room coffee, newspaper. I spoke with the manager at checkout about this daily 15.00 fee considering I did not use the spa, exercise room, in room coffee and did […] not get a newspaper. We booked this hotel for my husband's birthday and it was a very good choice. We had the pool and bay facing room and it was simply beautiful... we could see dolphins swimming in the bay in the morning! The hotel was very clean, had good service and it was near an outlet mall and also the toll road to Sanibel. Quite convenient to go around if you have […] your own car. Let me start by saying that overall our stay at the hotel was great. Great views..friendly and helpful staff..excellent food. We also liked how the pool was open after dark. the negatives with the hotel are the fees that we were unaware of at time of booking. there is a valet charge for daily parking and a charge for overnight parking. we used the self […] parking which is a 5-10 min walk from the hotel...it is 5 if you cut through the middle using the bridge..we didnt mind this so much but people that have problems walking should take this under consideration..prices can change so u should call the hotel for current valet prices. the other charges were the taxes and Excl. benefits fee..u get the bill at the end of the stay based on the total days you stay...we dont stay at many hotels so this may be common. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would go back to this hotel again but factor those charges into our budget. On a side note we got engaged there and both had b-days during that week and we mentioned that and we got free deserts sent to our room and at dinner..very nice...also at night dolphins came up to the pier at night..got some good pics of them but video would have been much better...hope this helps Læs mere
