Hotel was a bit out of town (a plus if going to Vegas). The staff was very pleasant and friendly, both in the hotel and restaurant. Room was clean, but maintenance was lacking. Breakfast was included at the diner next door 24 hours (or a 7.75 credit to any other meal). Primary customers are road / rail road workers and personnel / family's from the […] nearby military base. To address the 'sound proof' hotel issue, apparently this was only done to the shell, as you cannot hear the base, railroad or freeway noises. Inside you can clearly hear your neighbors, pipes etc... In short, it is one of the better options in the greater Barstow area, and a full (good) breakfast was a definitive plus. I would stay again while traveling, but probibally not consider it for a longer stay. Læs mere

If you want to stay in a truck stop, this is the place for you. The diner next door is a draw, but it doesn't compensate for this less than Motel 6 stop. We won't be back.

Hotel was ok. The bed was really small but the room was clean and comfortable. Free internet and nice tv.

We spent the night at the Oak Tree Inn on a trip from Las Vegas to California. Hotel was clean, beds comfortable, minimal noise and even a voucher for breakfast at the diner next door. This will be our stopover hotel for future trips between Vegas and California.

We had booked our stay on line and did not know what to expect having read fairly poor reviews for most of the motels in the vicinity. However, we were pleasantly surprised by our accommodation, which was clean and comfortable. Although the property is located next to Interstate 15 and beside a large truck park, we were not disturbed by noise. The adjacent […] diner is clean and nicely fitted out and it serves standard fare, freshly cooked 24/7. There is a nice little pool area next to the hotel and a gym. However, the best thing about this stop is the location of Calico ghost town nearby and the fabulous Peggy Sue's Diner, which should not be missed. Everything about Peggy Sue's says "1950's", It's crammed full of memorabilia, it has a wonderful ice cream and soda counter, pizza parlour, gift shop and the food is great too, served cheerfully by waitresses waring traditional 50's outfits. Prior to my trip I had read reviews of hotels in the Barstow area before making this selection, and I feel vindicated in my choice. This was not a luxury hotel but it was comfortable enough for someone passing through the area. As mentioned in other reviews, the gem part of the location was Peggy's Diner next door, which served really good food,both […] at dinner and breakfast.The diner (and hotel) seem to cater mostly to truckers and railroad crews, but they did it well. This was ome od the only hotels who made sure you weren't disturbed by the annoying stream of light which always streams through the gap between the window curtains. How? By stitching the center pieces together and using velcro to attach the outer margins to the window frames, thus no light bothers you when you try to sleep. Læs mere

This hotel was nicer than I expected it to be, it is older and the carpet/furniture is definitely not up to date but the room had lots of space which I loved, a mini fridge, microwave and recliner. You can't beat what you get for the price. Clean and comfortable and the diner next door is great. You get a voucher just under $8 but with that, you can get a large breakfast. The diner is open 24 hours and their prices for lunch and dinner items are also very cheap. Great food.

this was a great stopover place. It is next to the freeway but with the double windows and the sound deading drapes there was no noise. The bed was hard for sidesleepers but I would definitely stay there again. It is the best for the price stay in the Barstow area.

The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a welcome stop if driving long distances.

This hotel appears to have been renovated 100%. You can still smell the new carpet; new furnishings, new appointments, efficient air conditioner – for the price, this is truly an oasis in the desert. I was on my way to las vegas and could not drive the entire 560 miles so stopped 2 hours short of vegas. This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. They give you a generous breakfast credit for the diner next door which seemed excellent and which you could use any time. It felt safe (I am an older woman, stopping at 11 p.m.) I really would recommend it . Furthermore, it is beyond Barstow. This means you don't have to fight traffic going into the city to find it. I found it on hotels.com and benefitted by the recommendation to ask for a room away from the freeway (one that faces the parking lot) to have more peace and quiet. the price was the best part, particularly considering the breakfast. Since the diner is a 24 hours one, you can use the breakfast chit at any hour and don't have to worry about making the 7-9 breakfast hour that a lot of motels have. Læs mere

The lobby service was courteous, but the toilet handle in our in-laws room fell off on1st flush, but as soon as we told the receptionist he changed rooms without quibble even though I fixed it. Got free breakfast at Penny's next door and both this and dinner were good. This hotel was extremely clean and very simple. The bed was hard, but other than that is was great! We were offroading in Calico for the weekend with kids and wanted to skip camping so this was perfect for us. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay the night on road trips too.

hotel was was VERY LOUD from the truck traffic on the highway!!! We got NO SLEEP!!!

The staff at the hotel were great. They also have a dinner next door to the Inn, witch the food and customer service is great. One Staff member has great customer service and remembered us from our stay a year ago. She was always happy and full of info on what to do and places for us to go see, thank you.

The trip to Vegas can be a tiring one and the option of grabbing a hotel to bunk down for the night can be tempting. This hotel is right off the freeway on Ghost Town Rd and has a small 50's diner next to it. Views from the room consist of trucks parked on one side and a freeway on the other. There is a pool downstairs but it was quite busy as a family […] of 8 had set up a temporary bbq next to it. It may look as though Im giving this hotel a poor review; however, this is a convent clean room very reasonably priced with good freeway access in a pretty remote town. Also a free breakfast is thrown in at the 50's diner and is worth the visit for the home cooking and friendly hospitality. If you are looking to hit the hay late and leave early, this is the place for you. Alternatively, if you want to shell out a few more taco's there are other options in the town of Barstow. Læs mere

There was no fridge or microwave in the room, which differed from the room description on Hotels.com. Otherwise check-in and stay was fine. I recommend calling ahead to let them know you want a fridge/microwave.

Check in was great. The carpet in the room was very black and disgusting. I was afraid to walk on carpet without shoes. Bed appear to not have clean sheets, afraid of bed bugs. I borrow iron from front desk clerk and it was black, barely working. Please change the carpet out in the rooms because it is time.

Dollar for Dollar, you won't find a better bargain. It was in a quiet neighborhood (not too close to the freeway, so I couldn't hear noise). The price included a full breakfast in the Outstanding Diner next door. The Gym was awesome! I didn't go out to the pool. Again, for the price, I was blown away, and would certainly go back again! Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was pleasant- overall a good night's sleep. Google maps directions sent me out of my way, however, so call for directions!

Reception did not help us much as they did not understand why I had a different credit card number. Made me pay again (subsequently sorted out on return to England) but as yet they have not sent an apology for their mistake. Laundry facilities were not working.
