Hotelværelset lå væk fra Lombard Street på øverste etage og derfor meget tyst. Rummet var stort, så det var til at komme omkring for to mennesker med kufferter osv. Vinduet kunne åbnes, så man kunne få frisk luft ind. Ellers fungerede airkondition perfekt - stort set uden lyd. Hotellet ligger et stenkast fra Chestnut Street med dens små butikker, cafeer, […] kaffebarer og restauranter. Og man skal ikke gå langt for at komme til Union Street i Cows Hollow. Her ligger endnu flere butikker og restauranter. Tæt ved hotellet kører busserne 30 og 22, som er busser, der kører til kvarteret i den modsatte ende af byen. Super 8 er et billigt sted for overnatning, forholdsvis tæt på Fisherman's Wharf (3 km). Man skal være opmærksom på, at der ikke er parkeringspladser til alle gæster (først til mølle) - og så er morgenmads forholdene mere underholdende end reelle. I receptionsbygningen på 1,5 x 1,5 meter kan man afhente kaffe/the, corn flakes og riste toastbrød - men […] der er ingen siddepladser, så man må tage maden med tilbage til værelserne (hvor der ikke er borde stole - kun senge). Room was clean, comfortable, and quite tastefully decorated. It had all the amenities (microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, ironing board & iron). We rented a car and had no problems getting a spot the first few nights, but the last two, parking was full and we had to park on the street (but this was surprisingly easy as well, and free from […] evening until 9 a.m.). Great location near the Marina, waterfront, Presidio, trendy Chestnut Street, and not too far from Fisherman's Wharf. For the price we paid, it was excellent value. Every time we left the hotel and came back in the evening, the AC would be turned off and the room would be sweltering. One night the AC wouldn't even turn on at all. We called downstairs and were told there was nothing they could do. I might stay there again, but not in warm weather, and definitely not in that same room.

This little hotel was better than we expected. Although the room was small, everything was clean and comfortable. It is a pretty long walk from the Fisherman's Wharf area, but we found lots of nice little neighborhood cafes and bars on surrounding streets.

We had a good time plenty of shopping , sites and sporting events to keep us busy hotel was ok but ther was a maintence issue with the airconditioner thank god it wasn't hot.

The people were very friendly. Hotel parking was PERFECT for its location. Very close to great parts of San Francisco, easy to navigate to and from. Very cute and decorated with lots of flowers. Wish there had been an elevator, and the room was unfinished in some parts, i.e. no cover on bathroom fan; sections of wall patched but not painted; and a transformer […] was outside of the wall for a/c plug-in. Look, I've been around and stayed in really posh hotels all over the world and I can say without question this Super 8 isn't in a class with any of these "big" hotels / motels. I've stayed in four and five star hotels elsewhere in San Francisco so I know where I "could" have stayed if I wanted to pamper my ego. However, if you judge it for what it […] is and in the circumstances in which you find it, it is just fine. If you need a clean, simple, small (our room was kinda small) motel on a main throughfare and conveniently located, with hot water, and all the other appliances in working order, then this place will do. There's even on-site parking which is a real bonus. We had minimum interaction with the staff, but what we had was efficient and courteous. We had a street-room which took on some road noise which died down by the time we returned and were ready to sleep. The neighborhood was neat and orderly, you didn't fear for your like (like some places on Market Street), and there was no people-noise from the street. We only live 75 miles from San Francisco, were looking for an inexpensive, conveniently located motel in which to spend the night while we went elsewhere to meet and dine with family: the Super 8 San Francisco, Fisherman's Wharf satisfied those simple requirements. Enjoyed my stay here. Naming it as a Fishermans Wharf hotel is pushing it a bit distance-wise, but it's in a good neighbourhood with excellent transport links. No frills motel but very pleasant with decent room. Walls are pretty thin and I guess some folk would find a bit to grumble about, but for a traveller on a budget (like me) this turned out to […] be a very good deal (if traffic noise bothers you though, ask for a room not facing out onto Lombard St). Really nice hotel for the price. The neighborhood is great, walking distance from excellent restaurants and shops. Easy to get on public transportation and taxis. And most of all it is clean and quiet, especially for being on Lombard. My second time to stay here. Can't beat it. Very accomodating staff.

Very nice place but a bit far from the center. The room was a bit small but I got good pay for my money

I read reviews about parking, and it's true but if you do as I did and walked around that area, you will see all the hotels have the same problem. But parking is free till 9 am then the meters start running. I was in a corner and front over the main road. Rooms has fridge, microwave, iron and board. I was on a work trip. Hotel was clean and quiet. Good location and safe area. Not exactly walking distance to fisherman's wharf so plan to drive and park, which we did and got free street parking...is close to children's museum(walking distance). I'd stay again and so would my picky 12 year old...

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the room and how big the bed was. It was also super comfy. Lots of soft pillows and blankets. TV had quite a lot of satellite tv channels to watch. Room was very quiet. Tons of cabs around outside, didn't have to wait. I liked the fact that room had a microwave and fridge. Good location....that was about the only thing I liked about this place. Rooms are very, very small, huge gap under room door that a rat could crawl through, towels felt like sandpaper, parking was limited and very tight, I would rather pay a few bucks more and get a more quality experience.

super 8 at san francisco is a very confortale and clean and all the staff is very frendly my and my husband enjoy our stay there i will recomend super 8 at san francisco.

The location was good. The parking was limited, however. A main drawback is the lack of an elevator to second & third floors for those who need it. Overall, it was okay, as long as you know the limited parking at their location & the lack of elevator service.

The name of this hotel is VERY misleading. It is quite far away from Fisherman's Wharf, at least two to three miles, or more. It is in the Marina district on Lombard Street on the way to Golden Gate Bridge. The hotel management was quite friendly and the rooms reasonable. We stayed in this hotel due to a business meeting. The hotels (name brand) in SF were all over $300 a night, and mostly sold out. We booked this hotel not knowing...it was great! Only bad thing was no elevator...so had to drag bags up 2 flights of stairs. Very quiet though - good nights' sleep!

Close to Chesnut street which is a nice street with a lot of restaurants. The hotel itself was good and worth the price. It took about 25 minutes by bus to get to union square and 15 min to fishermans wharf. Also nice to walk by the sea to fishermans wharf (took approx. 40 min).

this was a really good motel...1) location of the place is close to lots of sight-seeing spots of SF, 2) bars are just down the street, 3) room and bathroom was clean, and 4) the room came with a fridge, microwave, flat screen tv w/ cable, walk-in closet..everything that was needed to make the stay more comfortable :] the only downside to the stay […] was parking..its free, but not enough parking spaces for all guests..so it's a first come, first serve basis. The staff was very nice. No elevator and the rooms were a bit dated. The breakfast was lousy, but overall it was great for the price. Okay location.

The hotel is located approx 2 miles from the Wharf and we recommend using public transportation which is close by. The Hotel for a small one appears well maintained and a good value for the price. Parking is a premium and small vehicles are the best, as we arrived in my Tundra pickup and it was almost to big for any of the spaces, once parked we left […] it there for the duration. The location, the WiFi and the room are excellents. The problems are the followings. The parking lot virtually don't exist (there are only 13 spaces), but, in the other hand, you can park in the street from 8pm-7am for free (remember to wake up early). On a budget and don't care about location, stay here. You are closer to Golden Gate Bridge then you are the Warf. People who owed the hotel, nice and helpful as far as they could be. No elevator, only stairs, so nobody with bad knees or legs. Super 8 provided an, In House Delivery Dinner Menu, from an outside source. Beware not to order from this company. […] Food terrible, cold and delivered 45 minutes after promised. Had to make 3 phone calls to get it then. People at resturant, very rude and hateful. our room was clean and well maintained...the hotel is set up in a court yard style so when a group of exicted and roudy people got up at the crack of dawn,so did the rest of us...the remote in our room didn't operate the TV,when we told the front desk they said "we know" and did nothing to fix the problem...good thing the room was small...great location […] close to local bus lines Læs mere

Lot's of good spots in the Marina neighborhood to eat and drink and shop. The Wharf was a good 35 minute walk but can bus or taxi. Hotel breakfast was very basic with no sitting area but good spots for breakfast within easy walking distance (try the Home Plate!) Tour shuttle picked us up right in front of hotel. we found the hotel to be very clean. the staff were very helpful even when i dragged the manager out of his bed at 6am to return the room keys he still managed a smile.

not bad if your on a budget just dont get a room by the street since its too noisy. oh and the wifi was working but veeery slow

It would have been a great value for the money, except that both of the rooms we stayed in had a horde of fleas. I don't blame the motel owners as much as I blame the annoying people who travel with flea-ridden pets.

The hotel is about a 30-45 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf. It is in a great neighborhood with wonderful places to eat in the surrounding blocks. It is also located right by a bus stop. The lady at the front desk is very helpful in telling how to get a long term bus pass and where to go to get something to eat. The rooms are clean and look to have […] been updated somewhat recently. I felt dirty staying in the room. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. The parking was not accomodating to our vehicle. We recommend a bigger space for a breakfast room and more variety of pastries.One of our rooms smelled of alcohol.

This Super 8 is relatively close to Fisherman's Wharf but is at least 25 - 30 mins walk in reality. There are buses that take you towards the Wharf and the Financial District. The road it's on a busy main road and not really geared up for tourists. There isn't much breakfast to speak of from the v. small reception desk area however there are two good […] diners just along the street (Mel's and IHOP). My husband and I needed a hotel to stay in while road-tripping around the West Coast and booked this hotel in San Francisco based on price and location. We booked the day before we were coming into town, so it's nice that there were open rooms and still cheap prices. Overall, the room was fine - king bed, jetted tub, cable tv, microwave, A/C, and refrigerator. […] We didn't intend to spend much time in the room, so we didn't care if the quality was a little subpar, which it was, pretty dated. The surrounding neighborhood was GREAT for a young couple like us. The street behind the hotel is called Chestnut St., and has TONS of bars, restaurants, and shops. Very hip, urban area that we had a blast exploring. The hotel says "Fisherman's Wharf" but it's not close to Fisherman's Wharf, it's really in the Marina district and is a short drive or bus ride to Fisherman's Wharf. That was fine with us though since the Wharf area is very touristy while the Marina district felt much more local and relaxed. Now for the bad - the hotel does have complimentary parking but it's VERY limited. Probably like 10-15 spots total and every spot is made for compact cars, so trucks/vans park in spots and go over the line, which causes some serious cramping and it's hard to back into the tiny spots. Also, when we checked in, the manager said, "Your room should be clean but I'm not sure, these maids work at their own pace"....doesn't really exude a lot of confidence. But our room was clean. The refrigerator in our room didn't work and when I opened it up to put leftovers in it, a terrible smell eminated...so I quickly closed it back up and tossed my leftovers the next day (bummer). Also, on the second night, we had someone with a key trying to get into our room (good thing we had the bolt locked) and we told them it was occupied.
