Hotellet bærer i høj grad præg af "den brune periode", men er rent og pænt trods sin lettere slidte og noget 70'er-agtige fremtoning. Morgenmad helt fin, da der er mange ting at vælge imellem. Dog temmelig meget kulhydrat, men sådan er det jo generelt i USA. Vores badeværelse var pinligt rent - og det betyder meget! Personalet flinkt og imødekommende. […] Anbefalelsesværdigt, hvis man blot skal have et trygt, rent og centralt sted at sove. Ligger lidt afsides (mellem 10. og 11. Fine værelser, små men helt ok. God service både rengøring og front desk var gode. Super beliggenhed, nemt at gå til Port autority, Times Square og lign. God morgenmad, men meget lille spisesal. Der kørte et fragttog i nærheden af hotellet, toget tudede men heldigvis ikke om natten. Generelt var vi begge godt tilfredse med hotellet, særligt pga den […] super beliggenhed. Hotellet ligger på en side gade ift. alt det larm der ligger på Manhatten, hvilket faktisk er rigtig rart. Det er rart fordi, man hurtigt finder ud af hvor meget dytten der er fra bilerne på alle tidspunkter af døgnet. Der hvor hotellet ligger er der ingen dytten og der er ingen larm, ,hvilket gør at man kan sove roligt. Mht. selve hotellet, var der […] rent, og sengene var gode at sove i. Morgenmaden var meget basal ( ligner den slags morgenmad, vi selv spiser derhjemme i privaten) og der var også frugt til. Dog var der ikke specielt mange sidde pladser til at indtage sin morgenmad, så det er det eneste minus. Vi fik også pakker bragt til hotellet, hvilket de ikke havde noget i mod. Man kan også printe gratis. Hotellet er overordnet godt til prisen, og vi vil helt sikkert bo der igen- hilsen to studerende på su, der sætter pris på renlighed Læs mere

Very good accomodation, clean and comfortable. Boring district but only walking distance to town. Internet works fine, and breakfast is okay although served on plastic plates. I would definetly stay there again.

Benyttede hotellet i en uge i forbindelse og var generelt tilfreds. Sammenholdt med det generelle prisniveau på Manhattan får man en udemærket beliggenhed til en rimelig pris. Hotellets generelle standard efterlader et nogenlunde indtryk men morgenmadsbuffetten er bestemt ingen succes - der var ofte ikke plads ligesom udvalget var meget begrænset. Værelserne […] er meget pressede og små men hvis man (som os) kun skal bruge det til at sove på er det til at leve med - dog blev vi gennemsnitlig en gang hver nat vækket af toget der "dyttede" og kom kørende forbi. Hotellet godt beliggende med gå afstand til det meste, både til Broadway og times square. Dog er værelserne lovligt små hvis man skal bo 4 på værelset og de to er teenagere. Måske lidt kedelig morgenmad, men dog ok, venligt og meget hjælpsomt personale

Der er ikke meget plads på værelset, men der er rent og forholdsvis stille. Morgenmaden er ikke værd at skrive hjem om men tilsæt kaffen lidt ekstra nescafe og køb lidt ekstra frugt til at peppe cerials op med så går det. Ok beliggenhed til prisen men der er nogle blokke at gå til subway'en

If you're looking for a comfortable hotel in a neighborhood that seems to be an industrial district and within close walking distance to time square, stay here! The room was very small but worked well. The breakfast was nothing too special. The continental breakfast included milk, orange juice, and coffee for beverages. The food menu varied slightly […] every morning. There were cartons of cereal, toast (white and wheat), muffins, danishes, and sometimes hard boiled eggs. A very nice start to the day. There was also a vending machine for sodas/bottled water ($2) and a vending machine for snacks.The walk to time square is about 15 minutes, max. There is a 24 hour taxi cap workshop across the street open all night and we received alot of whisles and "heyyyys". There is an Amtrak train that runs close to the hotel. Best Western Convention Center Hotel ligger lidt udenfor hovedgaderne i New York, i et lidt mærkeligt område. Hotellet er dog pænt og rent, servicen er god og værelserne pæne. Selv om man går forbi byggepladser på vejen fra Times Square, er det et roligt område at færdes i, og jeg var aldrig utryg ved det. Morgenmaden er ret ringe, men på den anden […] side følger der sjældent morgenmad med på amerikanske hoteller, så den købte jeg bare i byen. Læs mere

It was a clean Hotel with very helpful staff. It is the perfect spot for a weeks stay in Manhatten. The rooms were rather small but we still managed with 4 persons in one room (since we only really were in the room to sleep). The neighbourhood is quite ok even so it looks a little dirty we never once had problems or felt in anyway uncomfortable even […] at night. All in all a good hotel for a short business trip or a weeks or so visit to the Big Apple. The Best Western Convention Center in Manhatten is perfectly located for people who want to explore Manhatten and do not want to spend a lot of Money doing so. It is only a 15min stroll away from Time Square from where you will find most of the sights within another 15 min walking radius. If you do not like to walk i would strongly suggest the weekly pass for the subway. The next subway station is the Penn Station which is conveniently located on 42nd St one of the main streets of Manhatten. Læs mere

good location and good service except the heating system.. I am generally satisfied...

I had a wonderful and quiet moment there rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. I definitely recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel was fabulous!!! The neighborhood was quiet, interesting & close to the attractions of Midtown Manhattan. The staff was friendly & helpful. The breakfast was a lovely bonus. I would highly recommend!!!

loved the service, the staff were very helpful and friendly! only fault i coulf find is its alittle outdated and could benefit from having a restaurant on site. could use some sprucing up. rooms were spotless beds were clean and comfortable. and right in the middle of everything, truly could walk everywhere. one of my best experiences to date.

This Best Western is close to Times Square and all the surrounding sights, including the Hudson River Cruise which is just a block down the street. We were very pleased with the service!

I found this hotel to be hidden for location in a street that was dark & on it's own. A bit scary at night. The rooms were small & cramped in even though l was only to sleep some room to move would of been nice. Not at all like the photo. A huge disappointment was the complimentary breakfast, the scrambled eggs were powdered and filled in the warmer […] from a plastic bag, the variety of food was poor.Some decent cutlery & plates would of been nice instead of plastic, I was't at a kids party. I was there over Christmas and no attention was given to this besides the tree in the way of festive food etc. The hotel staff were bland and boring. Great service, great location, food buffet was really good. We weren't expecting anything too great for the cheap price we paid, but it was way above expectations. Our only criticism of the hotel was that they washed our towels when we didn't want. But that's hardly a bad thing!

The hotel is located less than 5 minutes off the West Side Highway (H. Hudson PKWY). It is about a 2 minute walk to the Javits Convention Center. The staff person at the desk was extremely helpful and patient. We were there for a wedding and needed to drop off gift baskets to other people going to the wedding. The staff was very obliging and did the […] extra chore with a smile. We needed to upgrade several rooms and again the cooperatione was outstanding. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The beds were average and we slept well. It is also easy to cross town below the busiest section of town to take the Mid-Town tunnel to Brooklyn. It was a great stay. Læs mere

Adequate on all counts, and given its comparative low cost, i.e. comparative to other NYC hotels, it was exactly what we wanted. Key elements : comfortable beds, clean and well located for Broadway, good breakfast. If near Broadway was our aimn, we would stay there again.

We were very pleased with the hotel. The location was great - walking distance to everything. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good. We have been recommending this hotel to our friends. Will definately stay here again when we come to New York.

My bf and I stayed at this hotel when we were attending NY ComicCon at the Javits. The location could not have been more perfect if you were attending the event. This was a pretty nice hotel room even though it was tiny. The humongous king size bed took up all the room though, so I will say if you don't need king size DO NOT BOOK IT. The breakfast they […] offered was not really worth talking about: there was usually some type of eggs and biscuits, no meat either morning I was there ( I don't count the eggs as "meat"). There was cereal, but the bowls were super tiny. I had never seen tiny Styrofoam bowls before. Biggest con for this hotel was that there was a horse and carriage station right next to the hotel and it was seriously funky during the walk to the convention center, but that was not a big deal once you walked by it. The other possible concern was the auto body shops that were 24 hours, they were pretty loud so if you are a light sleeper it will probably bother you. That wasn't a problem for me or my bf though. Not bad for the price

This hotel was perfect for a conference at the Javits. Located less than a block from Jacob Javits Center, just a three minute walk. Granted, it isn't the greatest neighborhood in NY but it wasn't a "scary" place either. I was perfectly comfortable walking anytime, day or night. The room was a good size by NYC standards and incredibly comfortable, The […] staff was friendly and courteous and the free breakfast had a lot to choose from. Best thing as that it's close to some good Ethiopian restaurants further up 10th Ave. The room was a bit worn, but clean. The all night taxi garage across the street was loud -- I slept with earplugs. Ask for a room away from the street. The foam mattress was a bit soft for my taste, but I got a good night's sleep.

I had read all of the negative comments regarding this hotel, but I found all of them unfounded. Great stay and terrific value for money. Very helpful and friendly staff, very clean and easily 3-4 star quality for 2 star price. Simple 10-12 mins walk to Times Square and Port Authority for access to buses, subway, etc. Also less than 10 mins walk to pier for Circle Line, Water Taxi & Sea Air Space Museum. The location of the hotel was great and I also felt it was quite comfortable . . . my two main points for choosing the hotel. The free internet was an unexpected added bonus!!

Just came back from a 3 day stay at the hotel. Can’t not complain really at all for the price we paid for the room. Pros Staff were great, could not do enough for us. Mike the day porter is really nice and friendly guy, gave us great advise where to shop and where to avoid. Staff arranged a stretched Limo for 8 of us to take us back to Newark airport; […] Limo was a nice treat as it worked out the same price as taking a private mini buss. Breakfast was a surprise, Scrambled eggs, hot scones, three types of serials, toast, bagels, fruit, tea, coffee, juice; this was more than I was expecting from a free breakfast. Location is not bad either, area does not look great but we had no issues at all, we were walking back at 10-11PM and felt quite safe. Walk to Times Square was 15 min max; Empire State building only 20 mins. Local shops only 2 min walk, you can buy your water, beers, snacks and avoid paying the tourist (Time Square) prices. If your vegetarian likeI me; highly recommend ‘Chipotle’ (Mexican fast food), lots of them all over and Maoz Vegetarian (best falafel I had),( 200 West 40th St NY 10018) Cons Rooms are quite small, the ones nearer the lifts are bigger than the one further away so if there are more than two of you in a room; confirm/ask to be put in one of the bigger rooms. Train track right behind the hotel, though had no issues overnight at all with noise, only approx 7AM each morning a training would go past hooting it horn. We were up early anyway ready for sightseeing so it was not an issue for us at all. Carpets could do with deep clean (not sticky just look a bit old). I patiently waited until I got a great deal for less than $200 in downtown NYC. The room was not too small, not just a "bed" room. I checked for bed bugs and there were NONE! The free bagels and coffee were great, free WIFI, cable. Quiet area a short $7 cab ride from the city. I recommend this hotel.

I definitely do not recommend the hotel for the location of night is dangerous. There are about a stables of horses there is smelly and stools near the hotel. The train passes on the one hand to the 8:am and sounds the Horn in the intersections for which wakes up if one this sleeping. The breakfast is very limited. Hotel was clean. Not located in the best part of town. Desk manager checked us out when my husband left for his flight. I was still in the room asleep. PERK Room did include breakfast. Eggs, biscuits and gravy. Much more than the average cereal and muffins.
