The hotel was great - nice facilities, great Spa and fittness area where you free of charge could use it. The staff was helpful and friendly and everything was nice and clean. The only very bad experience was the lady who did the treatments in the Spa. She was not friendly, she seemed annoyed when we came to book a time for treatments. We had both planned […] to go and have a lot of treatments while we were there, but because we didnt feel welcome we took a test treatment ( a facial) and it wasnt good. But I woul still go there againg cause everything else was very nice. And there is plenty of nice spa´s in the area, so we just had a lot of treatments here instead. Læs mere

We had a room on the 7th floor which had a fantastic view of the ocean and the surrounding area. There was only single beds and these were much firmer then we were use to. The indoor pool was excellent but the outdoor one was rather cool so only best used on very hot days. Breakfast was excellent and varied so plenty to choose from including local […] breads and plenty of fruit. We stayed on a B & B basis and had a quiet comfortable room overlooking the garden with its pine trees and a view of the sea beyond. Our room was cleaned every day and the towels changed on request. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a choice of fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bread, coffee etc. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We had no complaints […] whatsoever. Although the hotel is located some distance outside Armacao de Pera we enjoyed the walk (about 20 minutes) and there is also a shuttle bus service if preferred. Læs mere

Had a lovely stay at Pestana Viking with the wonderful beaches, comfortable guest rooms, delicious food at restaurant, large swimming pool areas with plentiful of sun-deck chairs to choose from, relaxing spa and saunas and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and hope to come back again in the near future. I felt the Receptionist […] was very helpful and open to not only recommend her hotel's restaurants for meals but also point out the local restaurants nearby and making the guests feel they had choices rather than just being stuck in the hotel. Fresh, recently upgraded suite, shame the same effort had not been made with the large sea facing balcony. Very close to two lovely beaches, one with an excellent beach restaurant, but limited choice of other local restaurants within walking distance. Service was good . Mainly German clientele.

Hotel staff are superb! Daughter had to go to hospital - Staff called ambulance, very attentive and sent security staff with us who assisted with admission, explanations and getting us to and fro. Rooms are very good (no flat screen tv's though!) and aircon in all rooms but kitchenette in room was very useful. Very clean - gym a little limited if you […] have an International Athlete in tow! Pools and restaurants are all very nice: eat-in buffet is good value. The hotel has good facilities with a kitchenette in all rooms. Breakfasts offer a good variety of hot and cold food with friendly service. The downside is that the hotel is somewhat remote from the local town and facilities. It is, however, well placed for seaviews and access to the beach. There is also a large supermarket within easy reach.

Friendly staff, good facilities, clean pool and a kids club. My four year old thought that this was the best holiday ever and the standards have been set very high for our next holiday!!!!

Easter holiday 2011. I went on this holiday with wife and daughter of (nearly) 5 years old. We loved the hotel, the staff and the indoor and out door pools, there was also a large puddling area. the outdoor pool area was large with plenty of sun loungers with essential toilets attached. free towels were provided. Hotel Restaurant provided very good […] breakfast (watchout for high quantity of sugar in everything, inlcuding fresh fruits). Meal price in the hotel was out of this world. bar food like a burger, chips and a drink of pepsi would set you back 15euros. Hotel Meals are note great as we paid 24euros each for buffet and was dissapointed with the food. Best thing to do is to get a taxi rider (5euros to near by town or a 20 minutes walk only recommended if in groups, i took the cab as i had child and had seen few dogs on street) where you will get down2earth price. This hotel was on a cliff and below was a secluded beach between two cliffs which was mainly used my guests from neighbouring hotels but again did not feel cramped as there was plenty of space for all. theres also a restaurent at the beach and again price is rocket high for meals, drinks are okish. From the Hotel 5-10 mins walk is a supermarket, where you will find pretty much everything you need, best to go shopping and stock up fridge which is in every room and theres also a microwave with a little kitchenette area. The hotel is in a truly beuatuful location - on cliffs over the ocean. The walk down to the beach is only a liesurely five minute trek. The outdoor pool and grounds are terrific and the indoor pool is a nice extra. The hotel desk staff is very helpful and all speak fine English. The room is quiet and comfortable. Be sure to request a sea view. The little […] restaurant on the beach is quite good (and inexpensive) for lunch or dinner. If you have a car a trip to the Armacao beach walk is worth the ten minute ride - some good restraurants. A drive to Albufeira is also doable but you will have to negotiate some VERY NARROW streets once in town. For purchasing supermarket items the Intermarche is at the top of the hill (a three minute car ride). Læs mere

The Pestana Viking was everything we expected it to be! This was our first stop on our honeymoon, and we were very impressed. The photos showed exactly what it really looks like. The hotel was spot on, of the beat and track a bit but we knew that. There was 4 or 5 resaurants within 5 minutes walk and a free shuttle bus to town which took 5 minutes and if you wanted to stay in town a bit later it was only 5 or 6 euro's to taxi back. beach on the doorstep and beautiful. Just totally tranquil. if i had to make a criticism it would […] be that there was no mention on the hotel's website that the hotel supply a beach towel free of charge which can be changed for a fresh one every day if required. We were travelling light with no hold luggage and wanted to know if we needed a towel and as there was no mention so we took two big beach towels which we did'nt need, this might have been an oversight on my part but worth updating site if required. Oh, and my pillow was like hard wood! very uncomfortable. These are not faults really as the hotel and staff were great. Læs mere

Wij zijn hier in september 2012 een weekje geweest. Goed Hotel, voldoende ligstoelen rondom het zwembad, redelijk ontbijt. De kamer en badkamer zien er netjes uit. 's Avonds echter lijkt het hotel wel uitgestorven. Er is wel elke avond live muziek, maar de animo hiervoor is wel erg gering. Een simpel hapje eten als lunch is ook niet mogelijk. Alleen […] maar een kompleet menu a € 15,- per persoon. Het buffet 's avonds kost € 25,50 per persoon. Voor minder geld kun je ook gewoon in Armacao de Pera gaan eten. Rondom het hotel is verder weinig activiteit. Advies is dan ook om een auto te huren. Armacao de Pera ligt op ca. 2 km afstand. Langs het hotel is een strandje met dure ligbedjes (€ 15,- voor 2 bedjes met 1 parasol) Wij gingen voor een rustige vakantie, daarom erg geslaagde vakantie gehad. Læs mere

Oppholdet var fint. Store fine rom og behagelig atmosfære. Hadde bestilt sjøutsikt, og det var kun glimt mellom trær og palmer som var mulig å se av sjøen. Ellers var bassengområdet veldig flott, samtidig som at vannet i bassenget var veeeldig salt. Svømmebriller nødvendig. Litt begrenset med spisemuligheter på hotellet, men greit med taxi inn til Armacao […] de Pera, ellers var et noen få restauranter i gangavstand. Læs mere

Fin beliggenhet for personer som ønsker en avslappende ferie i rolige omgivelser. Fint basseng området med nok solsenger til alle. Gressplen med havutsikt der solsenger med parasoll er tilgjengelig. God frokost buffe med alt det man trenger. Dyrt å spise på hotellet i forhold til resturanter i området rundt hotellet. Hotel befindet sich an schönster Lage oberhalb des Meeres. Die Zimmer waren sauber, die Ausstattung könnte gelegentlich erneuert werden. Das Hotel-Personal inkl. Rezeption waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Questo albergo è arroccato su un costone bellissimo, nel punto più turistico dell'Algarve.
