Super 8 - Davenport/Maingate South - Davenport

Boede fire nætter på hotellet, der lå rigtig godt tæt på hovedvejen til Disneyworld (15 min. kørsel). Vejen kan dog godt høres - hvis man har sarte ører, så bed om et værelse mod poolen. Der boede en kakkerlak under clockradioen, men ellers var værelset rent og pænt. Okay morgenmad, trænger man til noget mere er der flere kæderestauranter lige ved.

We stayed at this motel during our visit to Disney Magic kingdom. We got a good nights sleep. And it took only 15-20 min. to drive to the entrance/car park at Disney world. The motel is situated next to the Interstate 4, but we had absolutely no problems with noise. Staff extremely helpful. Close to I-4 and restaurants.

The room itself was ok. However the advertised wifi did not work well at all. Tryed all three of the connetions available and none would allow searches on teh internet with any kind of reliability. Since our goal in stayig at the hotel was for house hunting in the area this was critical for our stay. It's only 20 minutes away from Orlando attractions, so it was nice to be kind of away from Orlando, but not too far to make a visit to Seaworld. The room was good for the price, but the door of our room wouldn't open and the manager said we just have to push harder. Ok, that worked, but maybe try fixing the door. Overall, it was adequate.

There was a yellow puddle in the shower, there was also mold in the shower. White stains on the carpet next to the bed, cobwebs in the corner. We checked out the next morning.

I was scared for my life staying here! it was nasty the carpet was rolled back, smelled like wet dog, I couldn't close the bathroom door with out standing on the toilet, I think its located in the hood, I was scared to just walk the the office to complain about the keys never working!!! and first night, I slip the key in the door and they had already […] booked the room and walked right in on this guy!!! This Super 8 has become my go to hotel when going to Disney. If all you need is a place to sleep at night this is the place to be. It's far away so that you get away from all the hustle and bustle. But it's close enough so that you dont get stiff when going to all the action of I-4. We were a large group of students who stayed in a budget place for a couple of nights while going to Universal studios (about 40 minutes drive from here). I know I have given poor ratings for this hotel but it was simply because I was not asked if it was overpriced. It isn't. The heater worked just fine and the breakfast was Ok. Rooms were a bit damp […] and they did not have extra beds. Its an extremely cheap and basic motel. Læs mere

Very convenient to Reunion and Champions Gate. Inexpensive and doesn't disappoint. Not luxurious but good if all you need is a convenient place to crash. Relatively clean, friendly, easy check in. Only complaints. Shower head too low, I'm not tall and had to duck to wash hair. Hot water not hot enough for my preferences. Warm would be a better word. Overall, […] would recommend and stay again. The Good: Location - less than 15 minute drive to Disney, Waflle House, McDs, various places for Breakfast. There are Walmarts about 7 minutes out, or smaller stores closer by, for last minute items you need. Rooms - they were clean, well kept, good enough for us Price - rates were good BreakFast - small simple breakfast, though we preferred Waffle […] House for our stay. The Minor Bad Noise - close to a Major highway, so, it does get noisy. However, we were so tired from Disney that we had no issues falling a sleep. Beds - they were a bit hard, but, again, nothing major, we slept fine day 2 & 3. Customer Service - they were very good to us, no complaints there. I just thought they didn't handle a situation with another customer right. They were kind of rude to them actually, even if there really was nothing they could do (customer complained of Slow Internet Wifi connection). Læs mere

The room door was broken from the get go the manager was too lazy to go and see what the issue was after we stood in the cold with a 4year old he was too busy looking at facebook. He told the clerk at the desk to go and figure it out while he made other customers wait for him to return for their check in. When we got inside the room the smell was horiffic […] the sheets were stained and very old and the carpet smelt of mold and mildew. There was something growing on the heat/ac unit and the windows did nothing to keep out any noise or air from the traffic outside. The bathroom was unclean and there was rubbish in the trash. Hotel is saying Internet is provided but it looks not true. They have wireless Internet service but the signal is so weak that they can't cover the entire their facility. Even under the wireless Internet device, Internet was not avaible. And the wired noise from heater(or air conditioner) in the room was very extreme. It will wake you throughout the […] night. This hotel is convenient. The front desk was very helpful. It was close toeverything I needed and wanted to do. It is not perfect, but I did not expect perfect for the price I paid. For an overnight stay to another destination this hotel was convenient and nice. I would stay here again. I stayed here just 3 weeks prior.

Good place, close to parks, food restaurants, shopping and even the hospital is very close. Good rooms but they need to get new beds, sheets, blankets and towels. That would be great! Thank you.

This hotel was in a good location for someone who is just passing through. It was right off the interstate. There was no refridgerator in my room, but I was not there long enough to worry about keeping anything cold. I would stay here again.

Decent neighborhood (several fast food and other restaurants), clean room, courteous service. Large outdoor swimming pool kept clean. Continental breakfast lacking-nothing but unhealthy prepackaged carbs. Plenty of free and open parking. Overall. Good deal for the $$.

This is the second time that I've used this hotel and have decided that it will be my 1st choice whenever I am in the area. It's a great value and much more than you would expect for the price. My Bf and I needed some alone time from our roomies but we are broke, i wanted to save money but im terrfied of bugs so not i drive cheap. We got there the staff was quick the room was really clean, the parking was easy and anything we needed we could drive to and pick up quick, the tv and hotel itself were really old but all in all the amount of money […] we spent people that are complaing are just stuck up, its not the ritz but with how little you pay its better! quiet and the beds werent bad, def recommend it to someone looking for some alone time. Okay, full disclosure . . . The guy that checked us in (Chris) was very nice/friendly - Unfortunately the hotel was a little dilapidated in some areas - The room wasn't even close to top notch as far as cleanliness and amenities; fairly well worn sheets, only 1 towel for two of us, carpet was a bit worn and dirty, and the walls were missing a little […] wallpaper in places (and had some cracks, etc) . . . But hey NO bedbugs, the room had a fridge and HBO, and there was even a medium sized pool - What more do you really want for less than $50 a night (king-size bed) including taxes and fees. We might stay here again if passing through simply because of the convenience - would I recommend it to others . . . that honestly depends on what you're looking for and expect to get in a cheap hotel - If you like a ton of amenities and a really clean room, don't stay here - However, if that's not as important to you as sleep, go ahead and stay. What I would recommend the hotel do is get some new sheets every few months or so -- well worn sheets and blankets can be a turn off for some people; especially if they also have cigarette burns in them (and especially if you’re in a non-smoking room) - Also, more towels please. Small hotel but with the feel of a larger place. Very comvenient and away from the congested area.

Hotel was adequate. The room was basically clean and comfortable, though in a slight state of disrepair - there were some cracks in the walls and below the ceiling as well as decorative wallpaper that was peeling in many places. It was farther from Orlando and its attractions than I initially expected. It was about a 15 minute drive to Disneyworld which […] was the closest attraction. The value for the price was ok, though I suspect for the same price you could find accommodations closer to Orlando attractions. Hotel did offer basic breakfast including mini muffins and cereal as well as juice, and there are also several restaurants nearby so there are several options for eating nearby. Læs mere

BEDS WERE TO HARD & NO BOTTOM BED LINER ON THE BED....

Its a good place to stay for the price and very convenient to the interstate.

The best thing this hotel has going for them is the desk clerk named Chris. He was very professional and helpful and seemed to enjoy his job. As for the other desk clerks-no personality seemed they would rather be on safari than working at the hotel. My first problem is they ran out of frosted flakes and had no backup. Out of the 3 cereals they offered […] they should know that it was the most popular and at least have 1 backup. They ran out Saturday morning and still had none Sunday morning despite several requests for it by myself and other guests. Secondly--where are there towels. Getting towels was like winning the lotto. How do you not have towels--not extra towels but just towels. Once you take a bath and try to reup on the towel forget it we went to the local walmart and purchased towels as it was unthinkable that the hotel could be out of towels 2 days in a row. I was not the only one complaining about towels. As I said thank goodness for the desk clerk Chris who was the breath of fresh air for Super 8. We were in Orlando to celebrate my son's birthday. We just needed a place to shower and sleep that wasnt too far from the center of all the excitement. The hotel was a pleasant surprise.The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the fridge and microwave in the room were a plus. It was really easy to find. It was also very quiet. My mother […] wasn't feeling well but she was able to rest uninterrupted. The staff was excellent. We were all checked in and heading to our rooms in less than 5 minutes. It's 2 minutes from I-4, then another 5 minutes before you are in the center of everything. Sometimes when the price is so good, you hope for the best, but expect the worst. Well we were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone that I know. I read some of the gripes and negative comments and was a little nervous. But I think the people who had major concerns wanted 5 star service even though they arent willing to pay for it. Læs mere

Hotel was just off the interstate. Nothing special but the room was clean. Could have used a few firmer pillows. The only complaint I have was that there was no internet in the room. The agent apologized and offered to move me to a smoking room but I declined

It was a great alternative if you have a conference at the Champions Gate Resort for those who are on a budget. It was only one exit off from it and was an inexpensive option for those who can't afford Champions Gate but want to stay nearby. I got in and out easily because it was right off the highway (I-4). Aside from the one evening of loud talkers […] outside my room, it was a very pleasant stay. Also good to note is that it was very close to the theme parks as well. Clean room & friendly staff. They had a continental breakfast available with cereal, muffins, coffee, milk, & juice if you wanted, but I prefer a hot breakfast. Nice option though for those who might want that. Good room, nice location just off of I4, about a 15 minute commute to Disney. Definitely worth what I paid for it. I felt safe as solo traveler, which is a big positive for me!
