Great. Room is always clean. Attendants are helpful. Location is close to stores, fast food and restaurants. I would recommend to my friends and relatives.

The manager staff were ok. However, they did seem to have problems with giving us extra linen. The room was for the most part clean. There were stains on the walls in the bathroom that looked as if they had been there for a while. I do wonder why the management staff allowed homeless individuals to loiter outside the hotel.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. I would only stay one night at a time because I did not like the location.

Less than desirable. Would not describe it as a continental breakfast. Juice was a sugary drink. Colored cheerio type cereal, coffee. Very disappointed!?!?!? Nothing that I could consume. Do not drink coffee no other options but sugary drinks. Diabetic. no can do!

If your looking for the cheapest place in the Norfolk Area this might be it. The hotel is DIRTY, the rooms are old and unkept. The bed is as hard as plywood and the pillows are little blocks of wood. Never made it to breakfast but from what I could see as we left there was not much to it. Maybe some old juice. The area around the hotel is scary to say […] the least. I GOT BIT BY TWO SMALL BED BUGS, THE SHEETS LOOKED DIRTY WITH HAIR

When we arrived my mother and sister in law dis not feel comfortable in the area so we elected to stay elsewhere. Very close to naval medical center though

The hotel doesn't provide alarm clocks in the rooms themselves. The towels provided were stained and discolored. I was given other towels but why would the first ones be used or offered to guests to begin with.

COFFEE WAS NOT LEFT in room Clocks did not have correct time -room smelt of smoke -no shampoo & conditioner -beds lumpy -breakfast was poor-juice machine broken -hair on bathroom seat -Ref. did not work -bathroom nasty

The hotel overall had a peculiar smell and the room was dim. Looked like they were cleaned as best they could but not enough to walk around barefoot (stained carpet) or get in the shower without shower shoes. The toilet seat was marked up. The towels were tiny, but housekeeping made sure I had as many as I needed. Within minutes of checking in they […] were at my door making sure I was comfortable. The clerk that checked me in was pleasant as well. I thought even low cost hotels had irons and ironing boards in the rooms but I had to check the iron out at the front desk. The bed had one of those comforters that you don’t want to touch your body but the sheets underneath were clean. The mattress was pretty hard. Nowhere to sit for breakfast. Had to go to the lobby for vending; nothing on my floor. Elevator was old but didn’t take long. Looked like they tried to make it look better than it was with the granite-like covering on the elevator, bathroom counter and breakfast area. If everything around them look bad though it doesn’t help. Hotel was close to where I needed to go though. I could survive for 2 nights but it took a lot. If you are more concerned with your budget than the hotel/room this may be the place for you. Læs mere

Good, cheap location for genealogists. Housecleaning turned AC down one day and off the next during a heat wave which made for a very uncomfortable few minutes. Hallway had distinct odor of curry mixed with cigarette smoke. Brunch not worth the effort. Juice machine didn't work--coffee even worse than atrocious.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The accommodated us with extra towels and pillows and also set up an iron for us. It was a good stay for the price you pay!

This was the filthiest Super 8 or any other motel that I have ever stayed in. When I checked in, there was one person in front of me complaining about his room and one couple behind me for the same reason. The furniture and carpet was stained terribly. The spread and blanket were dirty and we had to remove them from the bed. The coffee maker was placed […] in the bathroom and was also dirty. The maids clean the rooms two hours before check out time and stop before they are finished, so our room did not get cleaned after the first night. The toilet rocked when you sat on it. We were also told by the maid that we couldn't get clean wash cloths and towels because they had "a full house" and there were none. There was a lot of drug/alcohol activity in and around the motel. We had to stay our full two days because of a mix-up with reservations elsewhere. Læs mere

First and foremost, the door to my room had visible marks from where it appears someone had taken a crowbar to the knob and had tried to open the door. I had to barricade the door each night in case someone wanted to try to force their way in again. This motel is close to Oldtowne Portsmouth, a must as I wasn't driving. While you're within easy walking […] distance to most attractions, the neighborhood is sketchy. It's safe in the daytime, but I heard gunshots nearby several times at night during my stay. There were also weird people who hung around the entrance at night as well that made getting in uncomfortable. The rooms are dark and smelly. I had a nonsmoking room that reeked of air freshner trying to cover cigarette smoke. The ENTIRE motel reeked of pot for my stay. I made mention of this to the staff and they said they'd look into it. The rooms appeared mostly clean, but I didn't feel safe walking barefoot in my room. The towels provided are tiny, like bath mat size, but I was given more upon request. If you're a family with children--even teenagers--don't stay here. There's other affordable options nearby that don't force you to expose your children to strange characters and weed. Læs mere

From the moment we walked in I knew we were in trouble. The smell was terrible. The condition of the hotel was way below par. I am fully aware of what a "cheap" hotel should look like and this is by far the worst I have ever seen.

This hotel isn't in the best part of town but is close to the hospital and was clean and comfortable. The next time I need to be in the hospital early I will stay at this hotel again.
