Super 8 Castle Rock Colorado - Castle Rock

This is my second time there and I will definitely use it again. The owners are very pleasant and helpful. The facility is old, but well maintained. They went out of their way to make me comfortable.

Perfect for a quick night in transit. Clean, the beds were comfortable. Smelled a bit like smoke even though a non-smoking room...but the whole motel smelled like that.

Convenience, location, service were fine for the price and the price was very competitive. It was reasonably clean with nobedbugs. This is a barebones budget-motel. What you need is there, but nothing more. Before even arriving, the address listed on their website was not correct. Once I finally got there and began checking in, the front desk clerk was rude to me and even sent me to a room that was already occupied. I went back to her and she said she was sorry and got me the correct room, which was clean and decent.

We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels/ motels. On entering the reception it did not smell clean. It messy behind the reception. If you wanted the phone switched on in the room you had to pay a deposit. We needed a roll away bed which was extra . It would not even fit in the room.. It cost nothing to be clean . I chose to stay here based on price and location. I'm familiar with the area, so I know it's really safe. While the location is really great, the condition of the hotel itself is less desirable. Hallways reek of smoke, thankfully the room did not. The woman at the front desk when I was checking in made me stand there for several minutes without verbally […] acknowledging my while she changed her oxygen tank. I would have been fine with a "I'll be with you in a minute." When she finally did get to my check in she said I needed to pay a deposit on the phone, in cash. I gave her the money and as she was getting my change she said it was optional. I told her I wanted my deposit back since I was not planning on using the phone because I have a cell phone. I also told her that she should let customers know up front this is optional and not required as she led me to believe. While this place might be fine for an overnight stay, the price and location is all it has going for it. Don't expect much in the way of customer service or a relaxing room. Læs mere

This hotel was very basic, clean and no frills with a helpful and friendly hotel staff when we checked in. We did however, have a horrible time when we checked out at 3 am to catch a flight. The woman at the desk was extremely unfriendly and acted like we bothered her private internet time. i was disapponted that it didn't have handicapp arangement we only had stairs and no elevator to get upstairs and I asked for King size bed and we were given a room with two standard beds on the second floor and we had to climed a set of stairs to get to it. and had to pay extra for this room. The first 2 levels smelled like fish. Breakfast started at 6am - for such a big event like Elephant Rock it would have been nice for them to start it earlier - just for a one time deal.

We were surprised that there were still smoking rooms. While we are smokers, we usually go outside to smoke. The room badly reeked of old stale smoke, I guess in the curtains. The chairs in the room were like sitting on boards, and the pillows were tiny. Can't really complain because of the cost.

When we arrived we had to wait for 10 minutes before we got any one at the front desk to wait on us. The room was a smoking room and the rug was not very clean. This hotel needs to been cleaner and better service.

The Super 8 was convenient to where we were going over the weekend and was quiet in the lower level where our room was located. The breakfast was adequate for our needs and the staff we met were friendly.

This hotel was the first stop on a 2 week vacation, staying in a new location each evening and this was by far the dirtiest hotel of the entire trip. We arrived very late and left early the next morning. The linens appeared to be dirty, the floor turned my socks brown from the little walking I did from the bed to the bathroom. After not being able to […] arrange for anyone to clean the room we decided to use what we had in the car and cover the bed and pillows so we could at least get some rest. The hotel itself was in need of repairs and a good cleaning. Really not worth the price even at the low rates they offer. I travel a lot and this is one of the dirtier places I have been too. I walked into the room and found soiled towels tossed on the floor by the door. The room was decorated in late 70s early 80s decor with few updates. The remote had the batteries held in by tape. At least there was a frig and microwave in the room, but that is about the only positive aspect.

The only lights that worked in the room were the bathroom lights. The remote to the TV did not work. I would only recommend this place if you want to save on cash.

Nice roomy room and the best night sleep we have had in a Motel. Beds were very comfortable. Had a trouble finding the right Tv channels, they didn't match the list. Otherwise the stay was really comfortable and refreshing.

I guess you get what you pay for. This hotel is old, and smells musty and slightly smoky. Very uncomfortable bed. There were stains on the pillow cases and the towels were ragged and thin. The bedspread was gross, too. It wasn't very loud, and the location is convenient (close to I-25, and next to a McDonalds and a Village Inn). I reserved this hotel for an employee of mine that was completing work in Colorado. His stay at this hotel was horrific, he woke up the following morning with bites all over his body...................... It is distrubring, to say the least, how filty and bug infested a mattress must be to have an occupant wake up the following morning with bites all […] over your body from head to toe. Room had been recently remodeled and looked good with new furniture. It was clean and the bed wasn't too bad. Some of the reviews had me leery of the place, but I was agreeably surprised.
