Hotellet ligger lige ned til Stillehavet med en fantastisk solnedgang (hvis vejret tillader det). Pelikanerne dykkede efter fisk og nu mangler der bare en søløve som min kone sagde, medens vi nød to drinks på terassen. To minutter efter dukkede to søløver op, så oplevelsen var perfekt. dejlig middag på hotellet, der varmt kan anbefales.

Vi havde et kortere stop på vejen nedad Highway 1. Hotellet er under renovering. Vi fik to værelser af meget ujævn kvalitet - et godt og et tæt på ikke acceptabelt. Hotellet ligger flot, men der er ikke umiddelbar adgang til strand-arealerne. Restauranten er meget fin - vi fik et glimrende aftensmåltid. Morgenmadsbuffeten var også fin - ikke inkluderet. […] Der er en fin badestrand ved Morro Rock, og havneområdet er rigtigt hyggeligt. Vi spiste aftensmad i San Luis Obispo på Alex Madonna's Steak House - der er virkelig en oplevelse. Maden er fin, indretning og arkitektur ligner ikke noget, vi har set før. Fint hotel, men dårlig service og betjening i restauranten. Væreleserne trænger til at blive renoveret. Beliggenheden er dog suværen.

Et hotel der var rent og pænt. MEGET lille værelse uden nogen nævneværdig komfort Et hotel der ville være finere end det var. Flotte omgivelser dvs. blomster, græs m.m. og pasningen af det. Udsigten fra restauranten var et kedeligt vand, ikke det store ocean, men en kedelig bugt med mange, gamle faldefærdige både lige ud for hotellet. Maden var lækker. Fint, og meget billigt!; sted at bo hvis man er i Morro Bay area. Dog tynde vægge mellem værelserne, som ellers er meget smagfulde. Sød betjening ved morgenmaden, som betales separat.

Man betaler for beliggenheden ved interesse for golf. Hotellet ikke noget særligt i forhold til prisen. Der burde være gratis internet til den pris, det koster 10 dollars + skat i døgnet. Der manglede hårtørrer. Ingen shopping muligheder.

A property that is being remodeled but maybe not the best plans in their remodel. Our bathroom sink was in the bedroom with no counter space or towel hanger. Info said room had fridge. Overall, very satisfied. You really do feel like you are staying in a park!!

Started out with checking in, went well. We decided to look at the room before unloading our luggage. Celebrating our 30th anniversary and paying a pretty good price for this hotel. The room WAS EXTREMELY SMALL, the sink was in the room, not in the bathroom, SMALL table 2 chairs. SMALL Television..............It would have been good for the 7 dwarfs, […] haha. Anyway!!!, my husband approached the desk clerk and very politely asked to be changed to a different room, WHICH THEY DID WITHOUT A FIGHT! The location was okay. The room was so small that the bathroom sink was in the bedroom. I've had cruise cabins larger than this. Would not stay there again and would not recommend it.

Clean, modern comfortable rooms, beautiful views of Morro Rock, very reasonably priced and good breakfast.

Although I liked the location the room had things to be desired. With the remodel the bathroom sink is in the bedroom with no towel holders or space to put things. Toilet tight, I'm glad I don't weigh too much to fit. They had to bring a fridge to our room even though the rooms said a fridge is standard equipment. Our view was of the parking lot. Absolutely Breathtaking! This place has the best views. Very romantic. Hiking and kayaking is just a walk away.

we stayed on a monday nite. checking in early was a hassle as it took 2 hours longer for the room to be avalible than I was told. the location is wonderful with the bay and bird santuary a stones throw ! construction continues. bathrooms need fine tuning.

The Inn is nestled beautifully between the bay and tree studded hillside. Clean, nice bed. But the room--on the one hand they did a nice marble remodel of the tiny bath, but the bath door didn't shut...not just didn't latch, it does not fit and does not close. Some of the furniture is nice, but the pedestal sink outside the bath has no place to hang […] towels is wedged behind a really cheap armoir, the door sticks out in the middle of the room. If you want to watch TV you have to open both doors of the crummy armoir and watch TV, and also watch extra pillows, and ironing board and hair dryer, closet, etc. Odd. Mixed bag, nice location. Front desk agents could be a bit more friendly, specially when guest explicit mention that they are there for a special occasion. The rooms are very nice (great shower) but, in my opinion, management tries too hard to be "hip" meaning, not many convenience items. For example there were no tables in the room for drinks, a laptop or for any other use. […] The bathrooms suffer from the same malady: there are no shelves or anything to place a toiletry bag, your clothes, etc. Irritating. I just got back from a one night stay at the Inn at Morro Bay after staying a couple of days in Cambria. This is a lovely hotel with a beautiful room - french doors out to a balcony with view. Beautiful wood floors, fireplace, etc. The restaurant was great because you could sit at the bar or anywhere in the restaurant which was all glassed in and have […] a beautiful view of the Rock (Morro Rock), and beautiful sunset view. I have pictures of every stage of sunset that turned out beautiful and all taken from the barstool. The staff was very friendly, both at the front desk and at the restaurant. The only unfortunate thing was that the jacuzzi was drained and out of service. They advertise having one, and after a day of horseback riding on the beach, I was really looking forward to it that evening. They said it is under rennovations, hopefully it will be operational again soon. The other downfall was the water pressure seemed to spurt on and off a bit. But not too bad - just enough to be an annoyance when you were taking a shower. All in all, though....a lovely place and I would definitely recomment it, and I definitely would stay there again. We had a great little room with a tiny balcony and fantastic view. The only down side for us was the sense that the renovation of the room had not been completed: a towel bar fell off the bathroom wall, daylight shown through the top and bottom of the door and there was no hand towel bar by the sink. We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It's under renovation at this time (April 2012) but we were not too disturbed or inconvenienced by the work. In fact, it was clear the room we were in(323) was recently remodeled. Nice view of the bay... A heron rookery is right next door. You can see the birds nesting in the trees. We brought our bikes on this trip, […] and were able to bike from the hotel at the south end of the bay to the Morro Bay Rock at the north end in about 10 minutes. No bike racks on the property, so we kept our bikes on the balcony as per the advice of the staff. Læs mere

The hotel is newly renovated and was clean and new but there was absolutely NO counter space in the bathroom! NONE!! With 3 women that just does not work.....not even a shelf or sink space!! The heater was tiny, there was no wi- fi in the rooms, no refrigerator, and no complimentary bikes like the Internet stated. I will not go back and I would not […] recommend it. Læs mere

I had heard great things about this hotel, but my experience was terrible. Our room was freezing and we quickly discovered our heater was broken and the fireplace didn't work. The staff weren't helpful and couldn't put us in another room. The only offered us a small space heater. Then we discovered ants in the bathroom, on both night stands, and at […] times in the bed. We already knew they wouldn't or "couldn't" move us, so we spent the weekend killing ants ourselves. It wasn't the romantic weekend we thought it would be. The pool was closed, so we couldn't use that. We went to the bar one evening and I ordered a lemon drop. The bartender didn't know how to make it and gave me a martini glass full of cheap lemon flavored vodka. I couldn't drink it. In general, most of the staff look to be about 18-25 and simple aren't very service oriented. I probably would have been better off staying at a chain hotel. Off season visit, so rates may have been lower. Location is very nice. Everything is being renovated which has trade-offs. The rooms are newly done, but the pool-side hot-tub was ripped apart, and there was still construction debris around. The bed was very comfy with what felt like feather comforter and feather pillows. We were in the rear most building, […] 2nd floor, but still had a nice ocean view. Unfortunately, someone made bad remodel choices for the bathrooms. They look great, with nice materials. But, corner shower only with curtain on 2 sides. So, it splashes a bit, and the curtain clings to you. No tub. Also nice looking pedestal sink. But, no place to put any things except on the floor. Looked like the room was just re-modeled, very well done, very clean, loved it. Exterior needed work building is a bit run down but it seems once the interior rooms are complete they will be working on the exterior. Love the view of Morro Rock and the bay. Checked in to a beautiful sunset in the dining area. Wine and dinner, jazz -- what a greeting.

The Inn would have have a great place to stay, had it not been undergoing renovation. What was advertised on line was definitely not offered when we got there. The noise from the construction work, during the day, made it not quite the relaxing holiday we were looking for. When the renovations are complete, it will be a nice place to stay.

Nice place though under renovation...got upgrade to king room, however. A bit cheesy that they were buying gold at the hotel. Looked really tacky. Overall, great room, great view.

The hotel is in the midst of a rennovation. It has the opportunity to be very nice once it is done. We had a nice room with a bay view. It was old, but we could see that with some updates, it will be great. The view was terrific. The staff was very helpful and informative. The restaurant was mediocre, but has potiental. They had a buffet breakfast […] that was very under standard and cold. It would be worth their time to just let customers order and serve it correctly. Dinner and drinks were fun on the veranda with a view and great sunset. Once they get the rennovations done and work on their menu a bit, it will be very good. Læs mere

The room was comfortable and very clean. The view was gorgeous even though I had a garden view room, I could see the ocean view. Bonus !! I did not like hearing the conversation and television in the room next to mine. Especially at 6 am

Most romantic hotel ever, there's a fireplace in the room and the view from the room is unbelievable. (don't miss the sunset)

Great view of the bay and Morro Rock. Service was perfect and everyone was friendly. Would definately stay there again.

I actually did not stay here although I paid for this hotel on Hotel.com. The last time I was here was 4 years ago and I could not believe how much it had gone downhill! This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel and was not. I ended up paying for two hotels that night because I refused to stay at the Morro Bay Inn.

We hadn't stayed in this hotel for many years, and we found it to be very comfortable and quiet. The receptionist was a delightful girl who made us very welcome...even tho initially our room keys didn't work. They're renovating parts of the hotel, and the key locks will be replaced soon, she said. There is a bird sanctuary right next to the property, […] and it was fun to watch the herrons. The property is kept well. Bed comfortable, fireplace heated the room...great restaurant about 2 minutes away...Giancarlo's is great Italian.....would stay there again. Læs mere

Shutters in room falling off, keys rarely worked, might have been better if we stayed more than one night but a bit pricey for a one nighter.

Good points -- Beautiful setting. Well landscaped front entry way. Great view from our room -- we were on the lowest level, right at the water. Attractive bedding. Cute decor in a "cottagey approach to update the 70s" sort of way. Great location--inside state park, great walk into the town of Morro Bay. Beautiful view of the Morro Rock. Bad points […] -- Many aspects were dated--stained popcorn ceilings, 70s motel layout, not a comfortable chair in the room (wicker dinette set doesn't count). Paperthin walls. Double beds that were not comrfortable for 2 people (center indentation meant you hugged the edges or rolled to the center). Shower that surged very hot to very cold seemingly randomly and was without a stopper. Ant infestation when a cold drink was left out overnight. Bleach/chemical damage on dark brown carpets. Bottom line--if you think of it as a campsite with beds, it's a good location. But, it's not a luxury hotel and, without the view and setting, it might be considered a pretty low quality motel. We spent one night in a newly renovated wing of the Inn. Our room looked out on a garden and the swimming pool, which I overheard was warm. The beds were comfortable, the coverlet was clean and bright, and the room was cheerful. Check in and check out were easy - the only contact we had with personnel. The inn overlooks water (but not all rooms do) […] and it's close to a golf course and residential neighborhood. Wonderful location and beautiful view from the bar. The only reason I marked it down on comfort was the room was recently painted and still had that smell. But when we mentioned it to the staff they gave us a free breakfast voucher.

It is a first rate operation. Excellent service and amenities. Excellent restaurant. Very helpful staff. Overall, it is more than you would expect for the money. Most of the rooms have been remodelled and the rest are underway. All furniture, bedding and bathrooms are new. WiFi is free. I expect prices will go up when the remodel is complete. The only […] major negative is that there is no sound proofing or ineffective sound proofing between rooms. We heard one man's snoring all night. In the morning, we heard every word of his conversations. Doors slamming by families were like small explosions. Would I put up with it again? Probably because I spend little time in the room and it is quiet at night (sans "ops" - "other peoples' snoring, a unusual occurence), and also because it is in a beautiful location with very nice rooms. Pet peeves: 1) only one fold-out suitcase rack. There were two of us so with two suitcases so one case had to be on the floor. Provide two racks. 2) No shelf in bathroom. Sink edges slope gently into sink. Everything not on the outside 2" edge slides into the sink. I would have liked to have plugged my electric shaver into the bathroom socket but I feared it would slide into the sink. 3) drain cover in bathroom shower is so recessed that it forms a 5-6" hole that is about 1" deep. The screw heads holding it down along with the surrounding sharp tile edges are painful if you mis-step into the hole. Shim this up and use flat head screws. Læs mere

I expected a nice inn since it was in Morro Bay. What I got instead was beyond my expectation. The grounds of Inn at Morro Bay is beautiful with lush, green gardens and trees. The air is refreshing since it is on the coast and above all, it is walking distance to most shops. If one wants to stay a few days here, then this is the perfect spot because […] in addition to enjoying the quaint town, one can venture only 31 miles north on the 1 and visit the Hearst Castle. Also, the two rooms we stayed in were recently refurbished and it was very comfortable and above all clean and did not smell of cigarette smoke at all. The hotel is in a great setting in the state park and right on the beach and across from the golf course. They have remodeled a large part of the rooms. We stayed in the partial ocean view King suite with a patio right on the ocean - or rather an inlet of the ocean. The patio was small and not private as it opened onto a larger community patio. The […] staff was great - very helpful. The room was what you would call charming, nicely remodeled with clean white shutters over the sliding doors; and a fireplace. The downside was the small television, shower only - no bathtub and the mattress was broken down with a feather bed over it - that did little to give you a great night sleep.
