Twin Dolphin Inn - Morro Bay

Det ligger fint man kan gå til havneområdet, hvor der er en del restauranter. Inderen der sad i receptionen, virkede lidt brysk, men ved nærmere samtale og spørgsmål, var han meget flink og oplysnende. morgenmad basik men fint. Tågen/havgusen kan være meget kraftig om aftenen.

The hotel was under a major renovation. It was cluttered with construction material. Too expensive for type of use.

I think that hotels . Com must be ashamed of being affiliated and let alone marketing the twin dolphins hotel.the place is a dump, it is in the middle of construction the hotel service is terrifying because you have a scary and angry person in the lobby who lies and hates all the guests.overall this experience has taught me NEVER book a hotel with you […] people. I know that it is hard for any hotel to keep up quality during renovations, so I wasn't going in with high standards. The "Atrium and Spa" area (where the ice machine is located) is filled with enough construction debris, visible through the glass walls, to make an unappealing first impression. One of the hallways was filled with more debris. Then there […] was the badly stained carpet in the room, some dark colored spray (chocolate? blood?) on the curtains and on the sheers, a dark and dingy bathroom with an open light fixture, torn cover on the ironing board and lukewarm water in the shower. The underground parking area was also full of construction debris and there was a full construction-grade dumpster parked out front for the duration of our stay. The good news is that they are attempting to upgrade. The ac/heating unit was new. The furniture and wallpaper looked clean, the coffee pot and hair dryer looked clean and new. The continental breakfast was minimal, but decent. Housekeeping did a good job keeping everything cleaned in the room on a daily basis. During the ongoing renovations, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. However, I might try it again in a year or so AFTER the renovations are completed. The location can't be beat, just one block uphill from the Embarcadero, and many of the lower priced hotels in the area are old and careworn. Læs mere

Not a bad place for a quick stay overnight but not for much more then that. Room had a bad odor to it. Never anyone at the front desk except when we checked in. Wi-Fi kept going on and off.

Well first of all when I called to make the reservation I was told they had a continental breakfast witch was horrible they had stale croissants, and spoiled milk when we told the front desk he brought out another gallon witch was also 5 days expired.... the air conditioning unit made so much noise I had like 4 hours of sleep.They are also remodeling […] which I was NOT told when making the reservation there was bed parts in the hall ways and no spa!!! The accommodations were adequate and the inn is located close to embarcadero ave which was conveinant. The bad is the beds and it's bedding needed updating the parking is located just adjacent to the balconies of the rooms ( somebody was unloading at midnight outside our room, very loud ) and the room could've been cleaner.

It is not a fancy hotel,but practical, clean,in walking distance of local restaurants and safe. The continental breakfast was basic,but not exciting. The room was kept clean.

After reading the recent reviews, I was reluctant to book this hotel, but haven't been satisfied with any of the other hotels I've stayed at. The room was acceptable, clean and everything worked. The jacuzzi wasn't working and even if it had, only accommodated 4 people which doesn't cut it for a hotel this size. Contrary to some of the reviews I read the Hotel was very clean. Not all rooms have the bathtub with jets though. The tv needs upgraded and the ad for premium movie channels is misleading, it is just one, HBO. Nice and Quite stay.

When we arrived the first thing I noticed was the dirty carpets. We arrived at 2:00, check in time, and nobody at desk. There was a doorbell to ring for service but nobody responded. A housekeeper got the desk person for us. He was sitting by hot tub. When we got to room it kinda smelled so I opened window. The carpet was all wet. When picked up phone to call desk the phone didn't work! I used my cell to call and the same person from desk,assuming owner, answered. Told him about floor and phone and he was apologetic but then asked be to put towels on wet floor! I said what are we supposed to shower with? In room 209 the carpet was stained with dye, the AC didn't work and the in-room coffee maker didn't work. The sliding door was difficult to open. The hotel looks pleasant and I've stayed in other rooms without problems, but this time was a disappointment.

we found the hotel rather dated and tired looking although the room was clean and a reasonable size the general atmosphere waws nota s good as other motels used

We have have stayed at the Twin Dolphins Hotel many times and the past tweo times the cleanliness and freshness has deteriorated considerably. the carpets in both the reception area as well as our room had stains the room had a moldy musty oader and the showere literally had mold in athe floor grout. won'st being going back until a change is made. I enjoyed my time there, really had no complaints. Location is great, price was good, and the room is good, pretty quite also which was nice. Hotel is a little older, but you get what you pay for. Everything was clean at least. I would stay again.

Location was great. There was a musty smell, cleared out with opening windows. It was fine otherwise.

We made our res. thru hotels.com . When we arrived at the hotel there was no one at the counter so we could check in. It was around 5:30 pm and we stood there for 10 to 12 mins. ringing a buzzer on the counter, not a soul around. So I head down to my car to get my cell phone and call the hotel . Finally someone answers the phone and hangs up on me.So […] back up the stairs I go and now Im getting mad. The check in counter is on the second floor,still no one around. I start ringing the buzzer again and now someone comes out of the back office to check us in. when we said we had been waiting for 15 mins. to check in the clerk said all we had to do was ring the buzzer !!!! There are 5 other hotels on the same street and I know Twin Dolphin is the only one with a PHANTOM STAFF. We had a standard room on the 3rd floor. Most rooms have sliding glass door. For some reason we had one of the very few with just a window. With that in mind, we did have a nice view of the Morro Bay rock. Terrific value for the price. The Twin Dolphin Inn has the cleanest complimentary breakfast I have seen. Very good. We would stay here again.

Good rate, clean, free wi fi and parking. Great for a one night stop over, within walking distance of all restaurants and shops on waterfront.

The hotel was well located near the ocean. My experience was good.

The motel was very nice and clean. However, because of the discount of early booking through hotels,com, we did not get the best possible room. We were given a room for hanicap accomodations and no shelves or counter tops in the bathroom. Bathroom fan was nto good and no bathtub. No dresser with counter tops in bedroom. Recently reburbished but with many problems including a very noisy fan in the bathroom, a loose toilet seat. Also the time for the opening of the breakfast was falsely advertised and the continental breakfast was woefully inadequate

I would sleep in your car before staying here. This was by far and away the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The walls are paper thin and the people in the room next to me were very loud. I went down to the front desk and asked the manager what was going on and asked if there was another room I could switch to. He wouldn't switch me and he said […] that I should go ask the people to quiet down. ME!! I asked if he could call them and he said he wouldn't. He told me that I didn't pay for a five star hotel and that I should expect this with a three star hotel. Really??? Then he op rede  to tell me that he's seen "my kind before." I asked him what he meant by that and just said this was just like "my kind." I called hotels.com and they called him and he was very baligerant to them as well. Hotels.com got me out of that hotel and into another one.  So, don't waste your money here. Stay a little outside of town if need be. There is plenty of free parking around town.  Læs mere

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early. The beds were clean and comfortable but the carpet needed to be replaced. The hotel just needs a little TLC but the location and the price made up for the minor inconveniences.

Was going to have a short meeting and they would not allow us to sit in the breakfast room- wanted to charge.!! Amazing, that has never happened in other hotels. Spa not working. Paint chipping off of shower ceiling. Wish I had stayed at any of the other options.

the twin dolphin was a most enjoyable stay for my wife and i, clean rooms, good service, and a good price, recommend to all.

Seemed like a family motel which could use a little updating. Complimentary breakfast was a joke. Two types of dry cereals, milk, Tang, and a few bread selections. The location was nice with easy access to shops and restaurants along the bay...

Located only 1 block from shops made it really nice.

When you're at the beach it doesn't matter the condition of your hotel, you're not in it long enough to worry about it. We were within walking distance to the waterfront and shopping. The management of the hotel was unfriendly, not accommodating and just plain rude. The room had the look of one of those hotels you saw on 20-20 with bugs and the light that showed all the junk on the bedspread. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again if it were the only roof in town - I'd sleep in my car first. INSIDE Jacuzzi closed at 10pm - at 9:45 we […] asked for the key to take a quick dip in the tub. We were refused a key, with no explanation. So we got to go back to our lovely room overlooking a seedy ally. Located close to the Embarcadero and very reasonable - BUT - one room wasn't ready on time, my room smelled like mildew. There was very strong cooking smell from the owner's suite located near our room. The remote was missing & never replaced. The Social Room (breakfast room) looked very clean, nice big shower stall, comfortable beds.

the twin dolphin was very nice , the staff was very helpfull , it was really clean and close to the water and all the stores. we will be back :)

Hotel was OK..... You get what you pay for. For a one night stay it was just ok.... our room didn't have a bathtub or shower unit.... just a long shower curtain on one side of the bathroom and a floor drain, we found that to be a bit disconcerting and bypassed it altogether. First the pro's - The hotel is within walking distance of Front Street which is where the main shops and restaurants are located. Free wifi was nice. Free continental breakfast. Nothing spectacular, coffe orange juice, toast etc. but considering it was free, it was acceptable. Cons- The service was not very good. Requested extra pillows and the manager […] refused. Manager also had very bad and hostile attitude. When asked questions about anything, he was reluctant to be very helpful and many times when someone would go up to the front desk for help, he would take a long while to get there even if he seemed to be doing nothing. The rooms were in mediocre condition. Carpets had cigerette burns, telephone did not work, curtains were dirty. Definately needs an upgrade. Although the location of the hotel was within walking distance of Front street, it is still situated to the side of the main tourist area. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel. I stayd two nights, found the hotel ok. It only has a jaccuzzi no pool, not the best situation when traveling. I like a pool, however the hotel was a good place for the price..I had to go to the desk to get help because they never answered the phones. Breafast was severed late to me at 7:30am, but then the entire town didn't seen to get going untill […] 11:00am...The day seemed half over before it even began....I guess I'm just a morning person and wanted to see as much as possible in the time I had. We've stayed several times in the past. It has gone downhill. dirty carpets needs paint and repair poor lighting odor of cooking in the hall (from on site manager?)

The rooms were very nice and we absolutely loved the bathroom, especially the big shower. Very nice and clean and close to all the amenities in town. Will definitely stay there again if we ever find ourselves in Morrow Bay.

We will never stay there again. The manager/owner was not happy about our reserving online...gave us a different room than we had reserved (said he was out of kings) and the room smelled horribly of mold. he said there was nothing he could do and he'd have to give us a refund. while we were on the phone with hotels.com, he decided he "did have a room […] reserved for someone else he could give us." Seemed to be good value for the area at this time of year (got a discount price though Hotels.com). Be sure to get there before the check-in desk closes at 10 p.m. (or have the hotel's phone number handy to call them). NOTE: front desk is on 2nd floor, but there are elevators between floors. The hotel was close enough to the beach, but didn't have internet service in the room; I had to stay in the lobby to use internet. Nevertheless, the hot tub was tiny, and it was only available 4:30 to 10 in the afternoon.

comfortable room, good location, great value for the price - my wife and I will stay again next time we are in MB
