Vi var meget tifredse med hotellet, en af de pæneste jeg har boet på i London. Flot, stort og rent og meget rimeligt i pris, og ufatteligt centralt lige over for stationen Gloucester Road i hyggeligt kvarter i Kensington. Vi fik først værelse med dobbeltseng, men da vi var to veninder, spurgte vi om de havde et twin som bestilt - og fik så det fedeste værelse, dobbelt så stort, ingen støj, kæmpe badeværelse - virkelig god service og hyggelig hotelbar og lobby. Ville klart anbefale det og bo der igen.

Det ligger tæt på the tube, både Lancaster gate men også Paddington. Ikke noget prangende hotel, men hvem kan også forvente det til denne pris.

Værelset var rent - og meget bekvemt med det lille køkken. Dog savnede jeg mulighed for filterkaffe, der var en lille stempelkande, som efterlod kaffen med meget grums, næste gang tager jeg egen filter og trakt med. Jeg var heldig med stort vindue ud mod vejen. Jeg nød meget at være på værelset. Der er ingen lounge eller fællesareal, men venlig betjening fra den lille reception under trappen. Beliggenheden er perfekt, på stille og smuk vej, og Notting Hill Gate og alle nødvendige butikker lige om hjørnet. Jeg kommer igen.

Utrolig tæt ved Picadelly Circus med mulighed for underground direkte til Heathrow lufthavn. Meget frisk og lækker morgenbuffet. God og afslappet service og gode forslag til Spa behandling og løberuter

Fra a til z et lækkert hotel med perfekt service! Baggagehjælp er klar, når man træder ud af taxaen. Der er ønskede morgenaviser klar på værelsesdøren, rengøringen er perfekt inklusive kvalitetskontrol!! Interiøret er lækkert. Ingen støj på hotellet. Lækkert fitness-rum døgnåbent. "Exceptional in every way!"
My daughter and I spent 3 lovely days in this hotel and were thrilled with our choice. The location was excellent for the two shows we attended... The Phantom of the Opera is on the same block and it took no time to walk back from The Royal Opera House. The delights of Trafalgar Sq., Whitehall, Buckingham Palace and lovely shopping areas are on the […] doorstep. "Exceptional Experience"
The hotel staff has brought customer service to a new level which I have never experienced in my many years of travel. When was the last time you checked in to a hotel and the staff tells you to sit on a plush sofa while they bring your tropical juices and check you in while discussing all the surrounding attractions. All this followed by the front […] desk staff escorting you to your room and going over all the amenities. The location is perfectly situated so that in a short walk you can be in Soho, Buckingham palace, Big Ben or the eye. If you are interested in the afternoon tea, you ca expect to be soothed by a spectacular harpist who plays a beautiful melody to accompony your snack. All this and I have not yet touched on the spa, the chanpagne tasting bar or the Cocoa Channell inspired bar! Quick check-in process. No noise during night hours despite of the location. Close to use Piccadilly line directly from Heathrow. Visiting the Hotel bar for a drink before going out a good alternative. However a bit slow making up the room in the evening but I guess this was a minor slip? the staff is amazing, such willingness to help in any subject is excellent. Room was a bit small to our taste yet included all that is required. Theroom view was bad overlooking the back yard of he Hotel. the location is amazing, just between the Palace, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Square - we simly walked everywhere we needed.

this hotel is in absolutely the best part of London - St. James/Mayfair, right on the edge of St. James and Green Park, a very short walk (5 minutes) to Oxford Street, Regent Street, Bond Street, surrounded by the finest art galleries (National Portrait, Royal Academy). Having done a lot of travelling and staying in top class hotels, I found the Sofitel St James was perfect for our 5 days in London. Great location about 200 metres from Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus and very close to the best shopping on Regent and Oxford Streets. St James Park, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park are an easy walk with Westminster […] Abbey also very close. Together with the best bed out of all hotel beds, very friendly and accommodating staff, i would recommend the Sofitel to everyone travelling to London - paying a bit more is well worth it. Læs mere

"Outstanding Hotel but not cheap"
Our expectations of London hotels were previously very low indeed. However, this one turned out to be by far the best hotel of all that we stayed in during our European holiday. The price, like most London hotels, was high but this one delivered on quality. Highly recommended if you can afford it.

The Sofitel London St. James was an excellent home base in London. The location was great, near Buckingham Palace and a few blocks from Piccadilly Circus and its underground station. The rooms were large enough, not vast but comfortable, and the quality of furnishings and finishes were merely a step below Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton. The service was outstanding. […] Don't ask me how the front desk staff remembers your name each time you approach, but many of them did. Housekeeping was unobtrusive, thorough and prompt. The breakfast dining staff fell over themselves, very professional, to make sure we were happy. I wish I could remember the cost, but I don't. I recall that it's not cheap, but less expensive than many alternatives. Even so, if the price fits your budget, I highly recommend the Sofitel. Great stay! Læs mere

"Sofitel in London - Pretty much what you'd expect"
Only in for one night. Hotel was immaculate, comfortable, clean, etc. It's a five star hotel. Shocker. I would like to make special mention of the fruit served with my breakfast. I don't know where it came from, but it was absolutely perfect. Like so good I'm going to have a hard time eating other fruit.

We stayed at the Sofitel London St. James the weekend of the Royal wedding (timing just worked out that way after a 2 week cruise). The hotel was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we felt like VIPs. The customer service was phenomenal. The manager, front desk staff, bell staff and bar staff all made us feel extra special and went out of their way […] to make sure we were well taken care of. Some local friends of ours met us at the bar for pre-dinner drinks and commented on the excelent service. The room was a good size and quiet. Their was a bit of a mixup with our room. This was brought to the attention of the Asst. FO Mananger who promptly corrected thhe mistake and when he found out it was our 20th anniverary provided us with a excellent complimentary bottle of bubbly. We stayed in the Sofitel St James for 3 nights. We had asked for a quiet room which we got and the doors are the quietest in any hotel I've ever stayed in. I was without my husband visiting a business friend. As soon as I entered my room, I said I couldn't wait to come back with my husband. The staff was super...the room was luxurious....any help needed was there....and the gym was SUPER!! Didn't get to use the spa, but it was gorgeous and I hope the next time! Extremely quiet and luxuriously comfortable! […] If anywhere in your price range, I HIGHLY recommend!!!!
