InterContinental Presidente Merida - Merida

Merida er ikke en by der er mange turister i. Servicen på hotellet var god og hotellet er absolut prisen værd. Der er rent og pænt og værelserne er komfortable, det eneste minus er at man betaler for internet på hotellet, men der stod også på hotel.com så det kom ikke bag på os.

The service here is not as good as it is across the street at the Fiesta Americana, but the rooms are substantially nicer and in much better shape...bedding is nicer, rooms are bigger, and while the reception area is less grand, the hotel has an intimate feel to it. I never used any of the dining facilities as we had access to the club floor for snacks, […] and that was a very nice feature...and always ate out. Overall, this is now my first choice in Merida. This is a nice hotel, in a great location, right next to the other big, popular hotels of Merida: the Hyatt, Holiday Inn, and Fiesta Americana. It is nice, the rooms are generous, and are probably the nicest of the bunch. The strange thing about the hotel is their bizarre policy of pre-charging your credit card for potential expenses. In our case this […] was going to be a large sum of money and it just seemed so bizarre we said no. Afterwards that meant that for any services consumed, they needed to be paid immediately. So laundry wasn't delivered while we were out because we had to pay cash to the delivery boy for it. Same for our room service order--had to be paid on the spot. Afterwards the reception told me that it was because they have a problem with people leaving the hotel without paying. Very strange. The other strange thing is that the front desk staff is not empowered to sell rooms. Rather, they will tell you to book online (and therefore the group is losing commission) because they can only book the high RACK rate, and not even add a night to a stay that you have--they tell you to go and book it online! It is too bad that there is this corporate policy driven process weirdness as otherwise this would be one of the nicest hotels in Merida. Læs mere

My family (eight of us) and I stayed at the Inter-Continental Presidente in Merida for a whole week from Dec. 23 to the 29th, 2012. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel with great comfortable rooms and incredible customer service. The location is excellent, close to everything and a very short taxi ride to downtown. My third time at the hotel, they have made some minor improvements and continue to. As an old hacienda there are many little cosmetic things to stay on top of. A remodel of the bar would be appreciated but overall very friendly staff and good food. Will return in a couple months!

The staff all are very pleasant and helpful. The concierge booked all my tours before I arrived at a very good price, and the front desk/restaurant staff remembers my name after the first night. Room was quite nice for this area and the city, good bedding, nice bathroom. Amenities are ok, could be better though. Restaurant in the hotel is convenient, food is ok. Stuff is polite.

This Hotel is a Classic building, it´s decoration is very old style but not warm. The lack of services and specially complementary services makes this hotel too expensive for its offering.

Room are clean,They have minibar with beer & cola and other samples.They were restacked everyday which i never saw it in any of the US hotels. The only issue i have is the Rooms were smelling ,after staying for one day my clothes were stinking i had to keep all my clothes inside my baggage.

EVERYTHING WAS FINE, GOOD VALUE FOR THE PRICE, I WOULD RECCOMEND IT FOR THE BUSINESS TRAVELER OR SOMEONE NOT PLANNING TO STAY IN THE HOTEL ALL DAY LONG.

This hotel clearly caters to business travelers. We were there with a family and while fine there were certain improvements which could have been made. For example the restaurant was extremely expensive and there were no discounts offered for the kids (to feed my family of 5 breakfast would have been $100). Also we asked 4 times before they brought […] a crib to the room. That said the kids enjoyed the pool and the hotel was generally clean and nice (slight smell of mold in room). I was surprised at the lack of money they spent to maintain this hotel. The entrance of the hotel needs much to be desired. It could easily stand to be powerwashed from the outside. The lobby was scantly furnished. It felt like you were in a 2 to 3 star hotel. The corridors of the hotel were not air-conditioned. The rooms were comfortable and clean […] but the shower tile work needed some aesthetic improvement. Overall I would not recommend this hotel as for the same amount per night, adjacent Fiesta Americana Hotel is a much more luxurious hotel. Læs mere

The hotel was very nice. However, they advertised that they had an outdoor pool. The pool was small, totally in the shade and the water temperature was COLDl. Because we swim, we had to go to the Fiesta Americana where they had a very nice and warm pool, but it cost us $20.00 each time.

We have been very fortunate on our visits to the Presidente we have always received a warm welcome at the reception upon arrivals and the staff has always been extremely friendly and professional. The staff is always responsive to any of our requests and go out of their way to assist you. The Yucatan food in the restaurant at the hotel is well prepared […] and delicious. On all of our visits we have experienced having clean rooms; we have stayed in the standard room, the deluxe and the executive rooms with all the same standard of cleanliness. Once we had a problem with the air conditioner not working properly and we notified the front desk before leaving for our evening out and when we returned from our evening out all was well. We have never experienced a late wake up call or any complaint being unanswered. There have been English and cultural nuances that needed to be addressed but nothing that could not be overcome; be patient and explain what you expect or the desired outcome you want. We are in Mexico and English is their second language. The hotel is smaller than the competitors across the street but the advantage here is the Presidente is more personal and they can keep tabs on who goes in and out of the hotel much better. The other hotels are very touristy; much of what can be found in Cancun or larger cities. We look forward to our next visit to the Presidente. Læs mere

We have stayed at several hotels in Merida on several occasions and we end up returning to the Villa Mercedes, El Presidente. We enjoy the quiet atmosphere, cleanliness, and convenient location. The hotel is walking distance to Paseo Montejo and a short drive to the Main Plaza. Secured taxis are located outside. If you decide to rent a car from one […] of the agencies across the street the hotel offers free parking. The ADO Platino bus terminal is across the street as is a convenient store and a shopping center with a couple of money exchanges and several restaurants or others within the vicinity. The hotel has a restaurant and 24 hour room service. A discreet Walmart is only two blocks away. The staff is friendly and very helpful. You feel safe and secure staying at this hotel. Læs mere

bellissimo hotel a merida! camere spaziose, pulitissime e accoglienti, colazione non compresa nel prezzo ma da provare, veramente buona. Lontano da plaza grande (centro di merida) ma raggiungibile con 40 pesos in taxi. Personale veramente gentile, ci tornerei subito!

On est déjà venus quelques fois à Merida et je retournerais volontiers à cet hôtel, pour son prix sur Hotels.com. Personnel sympathique, chambre très confortable (j'ADORE les lits avec couettes toutes blanches!), quoique la robinetterie de la salle de bains aurait besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement. On avait une chambre qui communiquait avec la voisine […] et on entendait ce qui se passait dans l'autre. Par contre, le site de réservation disait que internet était gratuit, ce qui n'est pas le cas. Il faut débourser 180 pesos pour l'accès. Emplacement correct, sécuritaire. ON peut prendre les "colectivos" au coin de la rue pour 6 pesos par trajet pour se rendre dans le centre-ville. Læs mere

Non proprio vicino al cuore di Merida, ma se amate camminare lo raggiungerete in 25 minuti senza dovervi destreggiare tra taxi e bus. L'albergo offre varie comodità è pulito e le camere sono spaziose.

Me decepciono mucho el hotel, tratandose de la cadena que es. Tuvimos un problema con el lavabo en nuestro baño y cuando lo reportamos, la persona de recepcion nos dijo que nos teniamos que quedar ahi para que lo arreglaran? Pedimos una pizza ( servicio a cuartos) MALISIMA! Le falta mantenimiento al hotel
