Red Mountain Resort - Ivins

Enjoyed our stay. Wish we could have used the facilities more. Bonnie at the front desk seemed somewhat up tight.

Love the location! Very peaceful.

This hotel is all sizzle and no steak. It appears that it was luxurious in it's day, but now the service and furnishing is sub-par for the hype we read when we decided to reserve the room. It does deserve credit for being quiet at night.

Quiet spa setting with amazing food

We were guests for 4 days during the off-season. We didn't partake in any of their services. Nice pool, nice surroundings, absolutely great breakfast, room was very cramped - it brings down the experience, but then we didn't go in order to sit in the room. I think of it as a really really nice motel.

This is a very beautiful resort that blends into a very beautiful natural setting. The rooms are clean and modern, but rather small and lacking in amenities other than TV, apparently with the intent of encouraging guests to get out and use the extensive health & fitness facilities and services that are offered -- mostly at substantial additional cost. The […] restaurant on-site offers 3 meals daily, with breakfast being a "health food" buffet for $18 and lunch being a health food" buffet for $22. Dinner is sit-down with a nice selection of dishes in the $15 to $25 range. While the offerings are excellent, the daily cost of dining becomes excessive, and there are no other restaurants within several miles as alternatives (nor are there microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms). It's a great place for people who have lots of money to spend and are looking for a wide selection of mind and body exercises under professional supervision on a pay per use basis. Personally, I prefer to do most activities on my own and to have a wider choice of dining options. Læs mere

We used it as a jumping off point to Zion and Bryce, but the surrounding area and hotel amenities were a great value add.

Great place to escape, relax, and enjoy the scenis setting. Sits just outside Snow Canyon, easy access for hiking. Tranquil setting on property. Plenty to do or can just relax poolside

An awesome oasis in the red rock area of St George.

We found this place while searching for a one night stay in St George, did we hit the jackpot here, what an experience, beauty all around, the many facilities are wonderful including a serious lap pool with views of Red Mountain. We stayed here for the weekend to visit Tuocahn. This is quite literally less than 2 miles away, and very easy to find. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly, and the resort is nice and quiet. I don't think I saw any children (which would make sense as this is more of a Spa than a hotel) so take that for what you will. I would and have already […] recommended this place to my friends. The Villas are amazingly comfortable, the activities offers are fantastic if you want to take part, if not, wandering on your own is just as nice. The spa is wonderful with so many services offered, the staff is always friendly and extremely helpful, and the location could not be any more perfect. The resort and spa were very very nice, they didn't have mini refrigerators in the room. We were offered free internet service but when I wanted to get on the computer it kept wanting a pament before proceeding. The stay came with free breakfast which was at the resort resturant and the food was excellant, lots of choices. The only other thing that […] really turned me off was the exorbitant charges for everything ie: yoga class, renting a bike., and there was even a fee for hiking. We did get a free water bottle. This was the only hotel I could find a room at on a very busy weekend in St. George. My husband and I needed a quick getaway, and decided to combine it with watching our son play in a sporting event (he stayed at another location). When we checked in, I discovered that I had booked the room for the following night. Bonnie, at the front desk was very […] accommodating and found us another room, an upgrade from what I had paid for. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and elegant. The sliding glass doors opened to a patio, overlooking the pool (closed for the season). The bathroom was beautiful, with a river rock floor in the shower. The robes were soft and comfortable. In the morning, I enjoyed a long run from the resort into beautiful Snow Canyon. After that, we had the healthy and delicious buffet breakfast, included with the room. We were there such a short time, we couldn't take advantage of the activities or the spa, but I look forward to returning and staying longer. I highly recommend this resort. Læs mere

I booked late for our annual anniversary trip so finding an open room in St. George on a holiday weekend where multiple events that bring out-of-towners are taking place is a challenge. We've stayed in multiple hotels in St. George over the years, including other venues described as "resorts" and was hoping for more for the price we paid. For the […] record, we typically don't take advantage of the "resort" services. We are very laid back vacationers so the room accomodations are very important. The room was clean and generally nice, but a bit small for having 2 queen sized beds. The beds were very soft and comfortable though and there were lots of pillows (for sitting in bed and reading, watching TV, fiddling on the laptop) which I liked a lot. However, since we do a lot of stuff away from the hotel during the day (parade of homes, sight seeing, eat out, attend movies, etc.) we like to chill in the room when we get back. If the room is clean and comfy, the in-room enterntainment services (internet, television, etc.) ultimately define the experience for us. The system in our room was PAINFUL and outdated. I want to actually sit on the bed with my laptop and not be forced to plug into the system at the desk without wires to trip over. I should have brought my own long Ethernet cord and didn't think to ask for a longer one. The TV menu and internet access and all that was all controlled by a very unreliable system that required multiple "reboots" because I would lose network connection for the laptop or the TV menu system would not work. The first night we had the technician come and help us get it working, but still had to fight it the next two days. The mess of wires was incredible. I'm not sure if we got an older/outdated room because we booked late or if the entire resort has that same system, but I expected more for what we paid. There is a table for dinner that is open to everyone. You can eat with the people you had just met and talk about the activities for the day. A great variety of activities.

This was a very disappointing stay. The room was so small we could hardly turn around. The price was way too high for the type of room. It was just a townhouse that was being rented out. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator and no bellman to help. The room was cold when we got there. The food was not very good... but very pricey. I […] was expecting a romantic place and romantic is was not. The waitress at the restaurant forgot we were there. We eventually asked another waiter if we could have some bread. I never got a refill on my drink. We did watch other customers that were getting good service so it was probably just that individual waitress. I had to travel to St. George for business and have never been there before. After searching listings here on Hotels.com I found this amazing resort called Red Mountain Resort surrounded by the spectacular red hills. I certainly didn't want my first experience of St. George in the city or typical motel so I chose this place and I'm so glad I did. I […] was awestruck just driving up to the check in. It's stunning here! The scenery is to die for and the resort itself is awesome. It has a great lounge where you can enjoy a steam room and peer out onto the red hills relaxing, The room was great & the restaurant food was very healthy, which is perfect for me as I eat organic foods - so that was a plus! the only thing is the restaurant is pretty overpriced but that is really the only critical comment I have. Beautiful grounds, upscale location, close to Snow Canyon State Park. Be sure to determine your "status" at check-in; ala carte vs. resident vs. package guest. This will be helpful when queried by the staff during your stay.

Excellent service and food....great relaxation spot

This resort is a lovely property in a serene natural setting. The room was comfortable and the amenities were everything I expected. I would, however, skip the food offered and skip the hiking trips, etc. in favor of exploring the area on your own. Unless you are truly inexperienced or traveling solo, there is no need to go on the overpriced trips. […] Also, skip the spa in favor of watching the sun set over the red rocks and watching the wildlife emerge at dusk. The grounds and surrounding area of the Red Mountain Spa are lovely, but the rooms are very small and very noisy air conditioner. Wouldn't spend the money to stay there again.

Red Mountain was extremely relaxing -- v. quiet, laid back, and pampering. Early a.m. hikes in red-rock country were what makes this spa unusual. Bryce and Zion Nat'l Parks were 1-2 hrs away, and when I return, I'll certainly plan to visit those as Red Mountain is closer than other parts of the state.
