Nice hotel, great location next to Wangfuijing and very central. Many restaurants can be reached within walking distance. Hotelstaff do not speak english very well, but the room is nice and clean.

Personalet er blevet meget bedre til at tale engelsk end ved sidste ophold for et halvt år siden. Morgenmaden kan nu indtages i den rigtige restaurant, en god forbedring. Restauranten er et besøg værd, rigtig god og varieret mad.

Alletiders hotel.God beliggenhed, næsten lige i " smørhullet " . 5 minutters gang til Wang Fujing gågade.Fik hjælp til en taxa med taxameter istedet for dem der holdt udenfor med voldsomme ågerpriser.God og hurtig betjening i receptionen.

Hotellet ligger dejlig centralt i byen. Mulighed for at leje en cykel og opleve byen på gadeniveau. Mulighed for at booke på arrangeret turisttur til f. eks. the great wall. Fint uanset om man er på forretningsrejse eller man er turist i Beijing. Personalet er meget positivt indstillet på at hjælpe også selv om de ikke altid forstår mit skoleengelsk. Valgte […] selv hotellet efter at have læst en anbefaling fra en tidligere gæst. God mad i begge restauranter ikke at forglemme. Alt i alt fuldt tilfreds med mit 3 dages ophold på hotellet. Læs mere

Centralt placeret ift. gågaden - og et par gode trave sko og en 30 minutter senere står man på den himmelske fredsplads. Supermarked, McDonalds og KFC tæt på.

Sunworld er et OK sted, hvis man ønsker at se Beijing og omegn. Det ligger i gå-afstand til den forbudte by og den himmelske fredsplads - der er supermarked og fastfood restauranter tæt på. Ydermere ligger det tæt på Beijing's gågade, hivs man er til vestlige designer-mærkevarer og billige turist gadgets.

My hotel room didn't have a clock in it, so on my date of check-out, I overslept by a few hours. When I tried to check out, the guys at the front desk were insistent that I pay a half day rate. I tried to negotiate it down, but they wouldn't budge. At most hotels, you can request a lake checkout and go over a few hours....not here. This hotel was very nice and centrally located. Close to the subway so you can get to all things Beijing. Room was clean and quiet and staff was very courteous. Concierge spoke English but very limited.

The hotel is very clean and has convenient location to most of the sightseeing places. The hotel staffs are friendly with good Chinese food. The hotel arranges sightseeing trips at very reasonable rates. The banks are very close for exchange, even the hotel has money exchange policy at a reasonable rate to other hotels.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the food was good, the coffee was bad. Staff were very helpful. The one problem was I stayed here specifically because on Expedia.com it says wifi in all rooms, this was NOT the case wifi is available in public area only, rooms have wired internet so ipad could not work in my room.

Very good location for Beijing. About 15 min walk to east gate of Forbidden city. Condition of the hotel is nice. Hotel is lacking in facilities though (no gym or pool).

Hotel was located near to Wanfujing where all the actions and activities are. It is next to its sister hotel, the Sunworld Dynasty which is much more pricier. Room was spacious enough and clean with a flat screen TV with many channels including two or three in English.The room temperature was acceptable though the air condition was not functioning but […] then with temperature falling to -15 deg in winter, who is complaining. Service is lacking such as the bell hop not bothered in assisting with the luggage upon arrival.The front desk staff speaks fairly good English and the concierge is quite knowledgeable with the surrounding areas.The ever popular food street is also accessible by walking. Tianamen Square and the Forbidden Palace is nearby but not accessible by walking. Take the subway which is convenient and cheap (2 yuan) per trip regardless of distance but very crowded. Nearest subway station is Dengshikuo which is a 10 minutes walk. Did not patronize any of the restaurants in the hotel but a good eatery, Merryhome opposite the hotel serves cheap local food with excellent dumplings. Overall, it was a very nice hotel. Super clean and well appointed. The room did have hard beds which is common in Beijing. We asked for a second comforter and used that for a little more padding to lay on. Wireless was really slow and unusable in the room itself. Okay in the lobby.

It was quite a surprise!... lots of luxuries, but at a moderate price. We liked everything except the restaurants which were at luxury prices but rather the pits! The breakfast buffet cost about $27 dollars each. Once I had the "a la carte breakfast" which was okay, but the next time they told us the only "a la carte" breakfast was a SET BREAKFAST (w. […] choices) . Ours cost $13.03 each and came w. two extra black hairs.... one in the scrambled eggs, one under the plate! However, everything else was OUTSTANDING! The location was spectacular: near a 7/11, a McDonald's, a bakery, a supermarket (where we bought the eggs), and more. There were nice Chinese restaurants, one right smack in front of the hotel. There was a mall a short walk away and the subway was a short walk. (I called it a city block and a half , but my husband called it 4 blocks away!) The concierge, front office all spoke English. There was an easy-to-use large safe deposit box in the room, beautiful picture window, controls for AC and heating, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, terrycloth robes, free slippers. The room was cleaned promptly. We were given two bottles of free purified water every day. We would definitely recommend the hotel, just not the one restaurant (Sunny Cafe). Læs mere

This hotel value for money, very near to Wangfujing which is a tourist must go. Many shops and eateries and a good bookstore. Also walking distance to the well known Beijing Roast Duck Restaurant.

i was in beijing only for the weekend and this hotel suited my purposes well...i initially selected it as it was a pick up point on a day trip i booked that was starting extremely early, however, i was quite pleased with my room (extra spacious) and comfy bed. Whilst it is a bit further away from the main historical sites (about half an hour walk), […] you would be hard pressed to find a closer hotel for the price you pay at sunworld. with that being said, it is only 5 - 10 mins walk away from the subway, and a key shopping avenue is just around the corner along with the night food markets / food stalls. overall i would recommend sunworld. The bathroom tile was not clean at all. The carpet and bedding seemed rather dingy. I don't think they had cleaned under the bed or furniture in quite some time. The buffet breakfast we had at the hotel was not worth the price. The hostess told us one price but we were actually charged a higher price. Hotel location is the best. It takes 5-10 minutes walking to subway station, and one-way subway ticket from any station to any station in Beijing is only RMB 2, or about US$ 0.30-0.40. There is 24 hours McDonald around the corner, 24 hours Seven-Eleven across the street, and a Chinese fast food next to the Seven-Eleven, one item is about RMB 7, and […] most people eat 2 items (I do), so it costs RMB 14 or about US$ 3 for one meal, some people eat 3 items. We arrived very late and tired and the reception staff were very unhelpful and rude and continued to be so throughout our stay. The housekeeping staff were very helpful though. We didn;t realise the extra bed we had booked was not included in the price we had paid since we had requested it at time of booking. It was good that this was just about the […] only hotel we could find that would allow 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) in one room. Most hotels wanted us to book 2 rooms which is just plain daft. Rooms are very small but that was not a problem since we were in the room for such a short time and only to sleep. Beds are VERY hard. Room nice and clean. Ate buffet in restaurant one night - it was Ok but nothing special. Included in the price were the drinks. Great location and cheap so yes would stay there again. There is a McDonalds just over the road and to the right which was great for the kids and breakfast, and a bakery and a supermarket. Wangfujing street to the left and a short walk. Also noticed that there was a boothe to book trips etc - didn' use it so can't commment but might be useful to know. Wifi didn;t work int he room but did jsut outside the door. We had to use the business center to check in for flight home and to print boarding cards - it was expensive becuase it was 2rmb per minute for internet and the connection was slow like dial up. Staff was not very friendly and was constantly so busy would do 3 things at a time while you waited. However, all request are honored very quickly so you can overlook the checking and checkout process. I was on the 11th floor Internet is easier if you stand by the door or in the hall.

Room - small size as we booked economy room bed size was too small, Location - 10 minutes walk to subway, 20 mins to forbidden city, 10 mins to Wangfujing shopping. Its in a middle of everything. The hotel is pretty close to DENSHIKOU subway station and from there you can pretty much get to anywhere. The staff was really helpful and the rooms very clean and comfy. I would definitely stay again in this hotel

Overall we are satified with this hotel. We have stayed for 3 nights The room was clean and spacious. Despite many complains we found the matraces quite comfortable and not hard at all. Service was also veery good, however check-in desk girls have very limited English and it is sometime hard to communicate. The only complain is that they switched off […] air conditioning too early (we stayed from 10/9 to 10/12/12 and it was quite hot in the room). We had to sleep with open window. As other reviews have stated hotel is great value and in an excellent location. Room had everything needed and free internet worked well. Only problem was room was a bit too warm even with the controls on the lowest setting - not a real problem, but just enough to prevent a perfect rating. Merry Family cafe over the road was for breakfast and incredibly […] cheap - they have an English menu if you ask. There was also a good steak restaurant nearby called Zan Zan on Dong Si South - turn right out of hotel walk to end of street turn left and its about a block and a half up on the right hand side. The concierge service was excellent and very helpful giving us information to get around the city. The room was nice though the air conditioning was not cool enough for the warm temperature. The breakfast buffet was filling. The location to shopping and the subway was perfect. I would stay here again.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Staff was helpful after finding someone who spoke English. The rooms were comfortable and fairly clean. One strange thing is that the ceilings were lower than normal in the hallways. The subway was just a block or two down and around the corner. Tiananmen Square was about a 20-25 min walk. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed 3 person in one room, so I asked for an extra coffee cup nad they gave us extra 2 cups. But the next day housekeeping removed the extra cups and during the check out they tried to charge me for 2 coffe cups. It was not polite the way that they request it. The hotel lobby looks really nice and most of the staff speaks English. At check in, you need to leave 2000RMB deposit (cards work). As you go to the rooms, it's unusual to see so low ceilings in some corridors (I'm 190cm tall and I could touch the ceiling with my head). Inside the room it's pretty crowded and I would throw out at least two big chairs […] and one small table to leave more space. A nice touch is that you can operate the signs "Please clean my room" and "Do not disturb" from the inside - i.e. no need to hang the signs on the doors, you just push the buttons. Between the beds you can easily access all the light switches, incl. the night light, which is handy. The breakfast was relatively expensive so we didn't take it. If you are someone who likes to make the best use of subway in the city (like me), it's better to search for a hotel near some other subway line. For most of the city attractions you need to change the lines at least once and, unlike in Shanghai, subway transfers in Beijing can be really long and without escalators. Concierge was very helpful when it comes to standard things, but if you ask them anything else (like we asked for a place they recommend to buy ginseng), you end up waiting 15 minutes and you become just more puzzled after that. Overall, hotel is nice but for the same price you could find an ultra modern hostel with breakfast which might be better solution. Læs mere

The other expedia reviews were correct. This is a good, moderate priced hotel. Near a subway stop (Dengshikou) 7-10 minutes away. It is close by to Wangfujing Street. It is a few short subway stops from Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. The hotel room interior is pretty nice and comfortable. On average front desk people speak English fairly well […] (individual persons vary). I extended my stay by a week. I would have no problems staying at this hotel again. Pretty nice and comfortable. Very convenient location, 2 mins walk to Wangfujing Shopping Street. Currency exchange at hotel and if you need to exchage curreny late night, just go to the lobby at Crowne Plaze across the street and they have a despensing machine exchange. A short walk from Metro station, shopping, and tourist sites. Very good selection at breakfast buffet. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the lady working the tour and travel desk the afternoon of May 29th (wish I could rememberher name). I woulddefinatly stay here again on a future visit.

Reasonable price hotel in a good location. Walking distance to the forbidden city. Subway station is a 5 min walk. Only problem is the air condition in the room - can be warm.

Great location. Small enough to feel more welcoming. Room reasonable size. Aircond did not work so was brought a fan. Prefer fan anyway. Beds were hard but love a hard bed. Staff got everything that was asked straight away. Will definitely stay there if go back to Beijing.
