Great hotel, location and price. This is a quality hotel and great location. We were in Salinas to visit family. Had a view of the mountains from the room!

House keeping completely ignored the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door twice! They were stingy with the towels and the hotel smelled.

I was hesitant because it was the least expensive of several hotels on the same street. However, it was really clean and convenient. The owner was there at check-in (semi-late check-in). Extremely nice and courteous. The receptionist at check-out was also very nice and professional. The rooms are comfortable and clean. You will see other hotels in […] the area. The staff was very polite. The building was nice and looked maintained. Room was very clean. In-n-out burgers right down the road! Yum!

We chose this hotel because the ratings of others were pretty high and the value was better than hotels in Monterey (where we were headed the next day). The ratings were right! Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi, clean room and much better than expected breakfast (egg "patties", sausage patties, yogurt, bagels, waffles, danishes, juice and coffee). Coming […] from Monterey and Hwy 1, it was worth going back the way we came the next day just to stay here. Very nice evening and morning staff. If I need to, I'd definitely look for this hotel again. Stayed with wife and twin 7-year-olds. No difficulties. Small dining area, but brought food to our room. The room was extraordinarily small and cramped. The surrounding neighborhood is NOT pedestrian friendly, and unless you're limiting your meals to In N Out or Margie's Diner there aren't a lot of dining options. Downtown Salinas itself was very nice, but the roll upp the sidewalks pretty early. Like the town, but not the accomodations.

The hotel hallways and room were dingy and smelled musty. Even though breakfast hours were still in effect, the available selection of food was very limited. This location was not what I have come to expect from the chain. In addition, the neighborhood was not the safest.

Very clean, affordable and close to Monterey, 17 Mile Drive, & Carmel

Loved this place, In & Out right next door! Clean nice pool, Front desk nicest people. Just dont go on other side of freeway, SCARY! Bad area, but nice safe location at the Inn.

It was so obvious that the owners of this particular Comfort Inn took pride in their ownership. This chain is not a 'bells & whistles" type of hotel. Nonetheless, the owners took care to make sure that everything this hotel chain offered was in excellent condition. The front desk was courteous. We have stayed here multiple times and it is a great experience everytime. It is clean, clean, clean! The pool is clean, and comfortable, and fun. Heated to a good temp. The breakfast is great (homemade waffles...nice touch!) and there is a Margie's Diner next door. We stay here instead of in Monterey on our trips to the Aquarium (we have 4 yr old) […] as the price is so great and I cannot express how darn clean it is! Læs mere

Basic ammenities, but very clean, nice, convienient, and excellent overall value. Indoor pool is heated, there's also a fitness room. Complimentary breakfast, make your own waffles on the griddle was the highlight of the morning. It's right off highway 101 along with a few other hotels on that street, but highway noise was faint and it didn't bother […] me. Heater and AC works good. We were in Monterey on Saturday night without a reservation and made the drive over to Salinas because it was much more affordable. We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel. Great for the price.

This hotel is ok if you have been on the road for 10-14 hours....clean but could use some updating...bed soft but comfortable...a/c loud

Excellent choice. Good customer service from front desk staff.

This was a nice hotel for a one-night stay. Our room was very clean and updated. It was a little small with two queens, but it was fine for one night. My daughter liked the window seat, although our room's view wasn't great. We were delighted with the free breakfast - homemade waffles, cereal, fruit, baked goods. The staff was very courteous, too. We like staying at this brand of hotel. We like the Waffles that are available. This experience was not as good as our last in Laguna Beach. The neighborhood seemed really kind of sketchy, with many panhandlers around the offramp. The staff was generally very helpful. We should have paid the extra 20 dollars more we could have to stay in Monterey proper. […] I guess what I'm saying it, the location is such a downer, we recommend not staying there if you are trying to save a 20. by staying out of Monterey. The price was wonderful for a Friday night stay. The room was clean, everything worked. Even the indoor pool was nice. Great morning breakfast, could have had more of a selection but it was good.
