The Lowry Hotel, Manchester - Manchester

The room was not great, big though possibly the only good thing. The bed had a joint and was not a real king but two singles joined together. Thanks to my partner it was a great stay.

Great hotel. Good service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Only critism is having to pay £15 for the car park when you've spent a large amount on the hotel room. Lovely large rooms as standard, nice big bathrooms and spacious corridors.

i booked the hotel for mine and my fiances anniversary.........wise decision. loved the hotel. helpful, polite staff, clean, spacious room. only downside was teenage girls screaming outside waiting for the famous rapper to come out of the hotel who was staying.

excellent christmas..had the best time at this hote and cant wait to go back...

Birthday treat for my wife. Superb value for money, the room was fantastic and the staff are A1. We have stayed in most of the Hotels in Manchester and this has jumped to the top of our favourites.

Easy parking and central for the main City attractions and shops.Spotless Hotel . I've stayed in dumps in London for twice the price

Good quality hotel very near the City Centre. Don't be fooled by the address, this is just in Salford and having stayed in Manchester before, the location is excellent. Facilities are good, staff friendly and the hotel is clean and tidy. Will be better when the building work next door is finished although this didn't impact on the stay. Only critisism […] is the expensive bar costs...over priced! and having decided not to use the mini bar our room was entered and the bar cleared. Not sure I liked the fact someone went into the room after we had occupied it and were out. Læs mere

It is a waste of money to pay £50 for a 'Z' bed for a child, they are not sturdy nor are they safe, my sons bed collapsed many times during the night as he slept, I would not recommend using them, disappointing, as The Lowry could make some rooms into Family rooms as they are very large comfortable rooms. We stayed at the hotel for our wedding anniversary and the hotel was perfect. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we were continually asked if everything was ok. We had a problem with the tv in the room and the staff member came back and forth to the room until it was fixed, offering to move us at one point, no need, they got everything sorted. […] The room was very comfortable with lovely robes and slippers to slip on, the towels were sooo lovely and thick. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room, you have to call for them but we did that and they arrived promptly. It is very close to Deansgate and all the shops and restaurants. Absolutely fabulous hotel with first class service.I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who made our trip so comfortable. They are extremely professional at all times and have a nothing is too much trouble attitude. Will definetely be staying here again in the future.

Our second visit and would stay again. Loved the room and service was very good.

Great location if you want to be near to central Manchester and great service. The hotel had a "vibe" that made it feel like a special place to be. If I was being picky the breakfast is ambitiously priced at nearly £40 per couple and the parking at £12 a day is a bit stingy. Felt a bit like booking a ryanair flight where the headline rate bears no resemblance […] to the actual price you pay! We stayed in the Lowry as a treat and were met with excellent service from the outset. The foyer and public areas were fantastic and the location, as regards distance was brilliant. The area around the hotel is not all that good and having seen the river with rubbish floating down I am pleased we did not pay extra for the river view. While the public […] areas were in perfect order our room was a little dissappointing. There were cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, several large stains on the carpet, one particualrly large one hidden under the bin! And the sliding curtains, although uber trendy had collapsed a little at the end and let in quite a bit of light in the morning. Having said that I did have one of the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. You do have to ask for tea and coffee making facilities to be brought up to the room, these are not charged for and the teas were rather special. And they are delivered promptly, ours within 10 minutes. We did not take up the option of breakfast as it was quite expensive, but instead we walked 5 mins away for a gorgeous breakfast at Patisserie Valerie. In summary, it is an excellent location, secure car parking (charged separately but reasonable), very luxurious but perhaps a little tired, we were perhaps a little unlcucky with our room. Well appointed room and amenities but disappointing to have to request the in-room coffee making facility. Nice hotel marred by the location which, although convenient for the city, is not asthetically pleasing and has the appearance of a local authority housing estate.

I've stayed here several times before and on this occassion for business purposes. Unfortunately due to work reasons I arrived very late so couldn't sample the spa as all I wanted waas to be comfrtable in my room - as always the Lowry delivered

Lovely hotel, service absolutely excellent. No tea nor coffee in the bedroom which was surprising. The breakfast was very average considering the price, though the staff were very attentive.

We had a wonderful time at the Lowry. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff helped to make it special for us with a bottle of champagne in our room. The staff were helpful and friendly especially the bar staff who were very attentive. Everything was perfect from the style, room size and service at the hotel. My only problem was having to pay an additional 15.00 pounds per 24 hour use of the Internet. I feel in this day and age with the room rates one pays at a 5 star hotel, free Internet access should be included. fantastic hotel with fabulous staff

Best hotel in britain from the minute you arrive till the minute you leave u dont lift a finger we stayed whilst whitney houston was in town and went to the show she was amazing she also was staying at our hotel a hot spot for all celebs a must stay in the north !!!!

Excellent front of house staff in this modern hotel. Large room with high quality fittings and a nice walk in wardrobe. Genuine marble bathroom. Hotel Bar is expensive and surroundings a bit uninspiring. Got a good deal otherwise would have argued at £12 to park my car in the hotel's own half empty car park. No one single wow factor just a combination […] of good attention to detail, space, modernity and top staff warrants its hype. Lowry var hotellet vi valgte for vårt Manchesteropphold. Rolig beliggenhet ved elven, og likevel sentralt. Var tre netter på hotellet med et barnebarn på ni år. Veldig fint opphold for oss begge. Stort luftig rom med utsikt mot elva. Nydelig bad. Svært god romservice, ja svært god og hyggelig service overalt. De ansatte ville gjerne hjelpe.
