Dejligt hotel med en helt fantastisk morgenbuffet, meget god beliggenhed tæt på transport. Et sted man vil tilbage til.

Meget hyggeligt hotel, flot værelse. Lækker morgen buffet. Nemt at tage toget til Venedig. Overvåget P plads ved siden af.

POSITIVE SIDES: less than 100m from Mestre Station which has frequent services to Venice and other parts of Italy, also very close to wide range of shops and restaurants which are often cheaper than those in Venice, very helpful staff -always willing to give tourist advice, good breakfast selections, quiet, clean and comfortable rooms, generous wifi […] internet connection. The hotel was okayish. Staff was very helpful but everything else was mediocre..breakfast room was really small.Location was very good if you want to take train or buses to Venice.

Clean room, helpful staff, great breakfast, good location (close to bus and train to Venice). I would stay there again. Hotel area (Mestre) is not good - does not have anything to offer except easy access to the Venice. WiFi was very slow in the room. Definitely the hotel was worth its value.

The location was fantastic - just opposite to the train station! The hotel was very clean and they served excellent breakfast. The staff was very professional and friendly. The internet was free and fast. They also had a printer avaiable in the lobby. I highly recommend this place! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Great hotel!

This is an older hotel that is well maintained. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Buses and trains to Venice are accross the street. The bus to the airport is also accross the street. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast as very good. There are some good restaurants in the area, but the neighborhood is a bit "seedy" at night. […] I would stay at this hotel again. location is perfect, across the road from Mestre train and bus station....very quick trip into venice....Service from front desk (as i have found over all of my stays) very professional and helpful..lovely breakfast..recommended

I was very disappointed with the room. My sister and I were traveling together, so I reservered and paid for a Superior class room instead of a Standard class room. I'm so glad I did because I could not imagine two people staying in anything smaller! The two twin beds were no more than a foot apart. The foot of the bed was so close to the desk that […] only one person could walk in that space at a time. FYI; the hotel does not supply washcloths, so bring your own. The rest of the stay wasn't bad. Breakfast was good, but the restaurant only served breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. This wasn't my first trip to Venice, and I stayed at the Tritone because of the reviews I read on Hotels.com. If I go again I'll stay where I usually stay, around the corner at the Plaza Hotel. Nice clean hotel one block from Mestre train station.

We spent one night of our honeymoon at this hotel last summer. We were visiting Venice for only one day and wanted to see the best of the city. Overall the hotel wasn't that fancy and the room was small, but the service was good and cheerful and the location great. Especially one guy at the reception was awesome and gave us very helpful advice to spend […] the day. Mostly owing to his tips we had a perfect day in Venice! This guy at the reception was actually the kindest person we met during our whole trip in Italy. Located just across the train station and served by friendly and professional staff.

Great Hotel to visit Venice, because train station is right in front of hotel. Of course the area around the station is not beautiful, but it is very practical. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. Friendly staff. PArking avalible 14 euros a day, right beside the hotel.

Hotel wasn't too hard to find with GPS. Parking was in a car rental lot right next door, had to pay at the front desk and get a ticket to get out the next morning (or we would have had to pay more). Staff was very helpful. Had a small elevator, but beautifully decorated. Room had plenty of extras (pants press, slippers, toothbrush). Have to watch the […] shower head, it turned on us when turning on the water and sprayed the bathroom. Breakfast aws usual European meat & cheese, eggs, yogurt, pastries, juice & coffee-all good. The Hotel Tritone is directly across the street from the Mestre train station and right next door to Hertz. The bus to downtown stops across the street and gets you into the heart of Venice in about 25 minutes. Be aware that you are not in Venice proper, i.e. not a canal in sight. When I booked this hotel, I thought it was rated as a 2 star. The price was right and it turns out to be a 4 star hotel. Right across the street and down 1 block from the train station, and the bus stop to the boat docks to Venice was also only a block away. This is a good hotel to stay in if you don't mind a short bus ride into Venice. The surrounding area is sketchy, but if all you're doing is going back to sleep it's good. GREAT breakfast. Very clean. Helpful staff.

Hotel location provides easy car parking close by and 20 minute bus access from outside the hotel to Venice and therefore is a very good option for people who are driving and wish to visit Venice. Reception staff fluent in English and provided a good explanation of public transport into Venice (pity the bus ticket office around the corner - nothing […] to do with the hotel - decided to open an hour later than scheduled). We enjoyed our stay here and used it to go to Venice and to Verona. It is very quiet, despite being across the street from the train station. My room's window opened to the courtyard and not to the trains. The room was clean though a little older. I loved the a/c which allmost froze me and had a nice fan noise for sleeping. I stayed in the superior room (Book through Quidco and you get it for almost the same price as a standard room with your cashback). The airport bus to Marco polo drops you off just outside the hotel entrance and takes 17mins €4.50 single if booked in advance. As this hotel is not on the main Venice Island you have to catch a number 2 bus which again […] is right outside the hotel entrance and takes about 20 mins to Plaza rome where you can join the Grand Canal on a river bus (boat). Room was very spacious with working and controllable air con. Bed was massive and I have since had trouble sleeping in my small double bed! Room came with sky TV, Mini bar fridge with room to put my own drinks in. Bathroom, hairdryer, bedae, bath/shower and plenty of cuboards to store clothes in with one contatining a safe. It was a lovely quiet room. The reception staff where brilliant. They gave advise on how to get to places, where to buy tickets and also allowed us to leave our luggage after we checked out and before checking in. Also the hotel has free wifi and two computers in the lobby that you can use for free with one having printer access which is also free (book those doges palace tickets on Basilica online to avoid the queues!) Breakfast was fantastic, Ham, Eggs, Fruit, Cereal, Crossiants, pastries and even a chocolate type cake which sounds odd for breakfast but I ended up having every day as it was so delicious. The breakfast was so good that I filled up every morning and had no need for lunch (well just the odd ice cream/pastry or Bellini! ). Only drawback for me was that this hotel was not on the main island Venice which meant it could take 30 plus mins from St Marks square on boat to Plaza roma and then another 20 mins on a bus back to the hotel. It may not seem like much but after a long day of walking and sightseeing sometimes you just want to chill, have a drink and then walk back to the hotel. This hotel has everything for a budget-minded traveler. The complementary breakfast was excellent with fresh scrambled/boiled eggs, cheses, meats, fruits, fresh pastries -- too many choices to list here. All the front desk staff speak excellent English, and are very friendly. The location cannot be beat -- right across from the Mestre train station […] and only 10-15 minutes from historical Venice on a bus that runs every 10 minutes. The only caution about the location is that the hotel entrance is not off the main street, but around the corner of the building. There are clear signs that point you the right way. Another pleasant surprise was free coffee/tee and mineral water ( and sometimes, pastries) in the lobby 24/7. There's a free computer/printer in the lobby, as well. There should be WiFi thought the hotel, but they were having problems with it on the upper floors -- it worked fine in the lobby, though. Keep in mind, the rooms are not all the same. One of our rooms had a bathtub, the other only a shower. The shower was also smallish -- and it's the only reason I did not give it 5 stars, although small showers seem to be a norm in Europe. The bus stop was at the end of the block and the train station was across the street from the bus stop... you can't ask for a better location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There was free wifi and the connection wasn't bad. The lobby and room were clean and modern, I would recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon. We wanted something at a reasonable price with convenience to public transporation. The hotel is on the corner of the Venice-Mestre train station. So when you walk out of the terminal take a right and its about 100 yards on the left. There is a small coffee shop next to the hotel that sells a […] pass that will allow you to get to Venice daily that will cover all of public transportation. Its about a 20 minute bus ride to Venice and again the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The beds are two twins pushed together but was clean and very quiet. The young gentleman that greeted us at the desk was very nice and very helpful. The coffee machine in the lobby is a nice touch as well. For the price and convenience of public transportation, you can't go wrong with the hotel. Læs mere

We booked this hotel because it was walking distance to and from the train station. Also the bus that goes to Venice picks you up across from the hotel. So location was awesome. The hotel's convenient situation across the road from Mestre station makes up for the poor surrounding. But this should not matter for those who will spend most of the day in Venice itself and it only takes 10 minutes or so to get there by bus. There are some restaurants nearby. The staff I interacted with were friendly and the 2 big plus points are […] the free unlimited use of 2 PCs in the lobby and the permanent availability of tea/coffee/water and if you are lucky, croissants, in the lobby. Breakfast caters for different preferences although the beacon/eggs could do with being kept warm instead of going cold. When I had to run to catch a train in the morning, I was allowed to grab what I wanted and take them away in a bag. The safe was missing from my room and upon reporting it, a handy man was sent to install one immediately although I was baffled as to why it should be missing. The TV in my room did not work properly as it would not respond to the remote control. The handyman could not resolve it. I let it go as I was not planning on sitting in my room watching TV. The furniture/room felt dated but I could not fault the cleanliness. As the hotel is set back from the main road, traffic noise was not an issue, but other guests allowing their doors to bang shut all the time and talking loudly in the corridor were. For those who would like a break from the water of Venice, do venture into Mestre's centre which is not bad. Reception can provide a map. Alternatively, go to Padua which is only 30 mins away by train to see the Scrovegni Chappel and Giotto's amazing paintings. The city centre is also nice. Læs mere

There were missing tissue napkings in the bathroom. It had a good breakfast. It`s very close to the rail station and bus stops to the neigorbood. The room was very silent.

If you need to stay in Mestre this hotel is an excellent choice. Transportation to and from Venice was efficient, if not always pleasant.

Our three-day stay was extremely pleasant. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Access to Venice is easy; the bus from Mestre to the city is virtually right across from the Tritone, and the trip takes about 15 minutes. Buying a multi-day pass allows you to take the bus to the city and to ride the vaporettos on the canals (but remember to validate the […] electronic pass each time you enter the bus or boat!). The hotel was quiet, and the breakfast was excellent. The city of Mestre itself also has some good restaurants and shops. Læs mere

This hotel's location is perfect if you are staying in Mestre and would like to visit Venice. The train station is right across the street and so is the bus stop (bus #2 goes to Venezia - Piazzale Roma on a regular basis), very convenient. Fantastic staff working in a very tired hotel, the room was very noisy from what I imagine is an antiquated aircon system, old mattresses were stored in the corridors and all in all the hotel would struggle to achieve 2 stars never mind the 4 they allegedly hold.

After getting off our ship we were taken to the bus station. There we grabbed the #2 bus and it took us (for approximately $2) directly in front of the hotel and the train station. We found it very central and easy to get to. The hotel is small, but very nice. They offered a breakfast which was wonderful and fresh. After a long day in Venice we decided […] to stay close to the hotel for dinner and found a few wonderful restaurants right in the neighborhood. There is a store close to the hotel where you can pick up bus tickets. The guy behind the counter was very gruff on the 3 occasions I had to deal with him. My favorite comment was " I'm being nice to you because I'm speaking English". All said, I would definately stay in this hotel again. They take a lot of care in their appearance and service. Decent sized very clean rooms with A/C, TV, locker & cupboard. Well maintained by staff 3. Free internet at lobby.
