The staff is friendly and accomodating. The location is not a stellar part of town and the facility is quite dated. The pool is nice but the hot tub was not really very hot.

This motel was outstanding. The rooms were spacious, clean and had fridge and microwave. Also and extra bunk type bed by window. Excellent breakfast bar. Highly reccomended.

When we arrived , manager acknowledged that I was there to check in , but continued doing some paperwork and made me wait Bathroom trash had not been emptied when we checked in. Toilet stopped up within the first hour we arrived and again just before we left. Manager called and arrived with plunger in hand, no apologies or even any conversation.

Room was clean, pool/ hot tub was dirty and the breakfast was microwaved. The kids liked the fish tank.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was quiet and clean and I slept great. Perfect for a tired traveler with a pet!

After I figured out how to get into the parking lot, it was all good - warm indoor pool, soft comfortable bed, my own fridge and microwave in my room, the halls were quiet at night, helpful staff and good breakfast selection. completely satisfied, would definately stay there again, the cost of the room was very fairly priced.

The staff was very pleasant. Greeted us as we came in. I actually had two occasions to ask for help and they went beyond what they had to to help me.

This Hotel is pretty rundown. Needs alot of maintenance. The room was freezing when we first got there and we had to turn the heat on. The pool was clean but needed some work. Beds had not been changed from previous guest! What appeared to be Pubic hairs and stains found on sheets under the comforters. If we had the time to change holels we would have. Even though the manager helped me change THEIR beds, I put a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door to keep anyone from coming into my room. I didn't know what else to expect! The […] experience felt dirty. The hotel was nice but there are nasty stains on the pullout coouch/bed mattress, there was mold on the shower curtain, there were never any towels in the pool room, the tv in the room was tiny, the the hot tub is too close to the pool. Nice room at a nice price and convenient to where we were going. Would stay again, if we could get same price as this time.

This hotel is a great deal for the money. For a very reasonable price you get a very comfortable room and a great breakfast in the morning. There is also and indoor pool and spa. Can't go wrong with this one!

Although the staff was generally very friendly, the quality and follow-up of the housekeeping staff is below average to say the least. I spoke to the staff member at the front desk my first night and the following morning and the head of housekeeping to let them each know about the deficiencies. After that, the cleanliness was better but still very […] bad. For example, a women's false fingernail on the floor behind the toilet; a pubic hair on the wall mounted hair dryer, cigarette ashes in the sink of the kitchenette, carpeting that wasn't vacuumed and a dirty shower mat on the bath room floor just to mention a few of the disgusting things that I encountered the first night I stayed. The fingernail and the pubic hair remained where I first saw them during my entire stay. Five nights! To me that is absolutely disgusting, deplorable and reprehensible. It's a sign that short cuts are being taken and there is little or no management of the housekeeping staff. As with most businesses, these gross deficiencies stem from extremely poor management and/or a lack of structured policies and procedures. I can certainly understand an occasional oversight. But, after omissions are brought to managements attention the service should be performed with impeccable quality. I am not sure what type of restitution is applicable in this situation but, I was uncomfortable in my surroundings and am extremely disappointed with the Baymont Hotel. The room was clean except for the carpet which clearly hadn't been vacuumed because there was white powderish stuff. One of the shelves was broken and hanging off in the kitchen area. The refrigerator floor was covered in water. The tv remote battery cover was missing. The hot buffet breakfast had to be reheated in the microwave, the eggs looked like […] round pancakes and the hot water wasn't hot for beverages. My Family and I stayed in this hotel 8-24-11 to 8-26-11. We had a great time. The emploees were very nice and helpful. They gave directions when we needed a grocery store.They had a great breakfast bar with a number of things to choose from. Clean rooms. I also loved that they have a little kitchen in every room with a fridge sink and microwave. haveing […] 2 small girls, that was a plus! We also loved the pool and spa. This is my second time staying here. the first time it was not too clean, so I gave i a second change because it could have just been a bad day. But when I showed up the trash was overflowing out of the trash cans with ants all over. I told the front desk about it but it was not addressed right away. they just need a good house keeper. This was a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Comfortable beds and pillows. Huge room for price. Would stay here again.

Room smaller than expected, didn't feel nor look exceptionally clean. No bed skirts,plastic bag covered box springs. Breakfast served in the cramped entry; chairs were dirty as well as the tables although the chairs were much worse. The hotel was a little run down. The breakfast was horrible. The swimming pool was cloudy and way over crowded. The hot tub was dirty, and at one time there were 14 people in it, and it had a capacity of 5. No employee repremanded the people in the hot tub. Great pool area for kids , room was clean and bed was comfortable, could use a alittle update on the tvs but all in all great hotel for the price !

Clean rooms, modern facilities, safe area, easy access to I-75. Great stay for the money!

Good stay

The pool was dirty and cloudy, the continental breakfast was horrible. They served eggs in a pancake form and they were cold and rubbery. No fruit at all.

We walked up the main entrance and there were 6 employees sitting at a table next to the door smoking. Went to the front desk, the young lady working the desk was on the wrong side of the desk taking a personal phone call. Check in was at 3:00pm, we were 10 minutes early. The girl tells me she doesn't have a room ready yet. I then ask how long and she […] tells me another hour. Check out is at 11:00 am, they had 4 hours to clean rooms, but the cleaning staff was to busy out front smoking. The indoor pool was out of service, it was green. When we first got there, we were told that there was no clean rooms. When we got up to our room, the floor had not been vacuumed, hair on the bathroom floor and the TV remote did not work. The pictures from the website were not of the same hotel, except the outside. THERE WAS CLOTHES LEFT FROM THE PRIOR GUEST! When I complained to the manager on duty, […] all she did was look on the sheet and wondered why it was marked cleaned. She said she was the only one there. I never got an apology or anything to comp me for the grossness. After we came back from the museum, the clothes had been taken out of the garage and left on the floor (which housekeeping would have had to go threw the garage) and the floor still was not vacuumed. When we went down to breakfast the second morning, the food was almost all gone. Needless to say, I was glad I had brought my own stuff. The pool was closed the first day we got there which is the only reason I picked that hotel. I went on Baymont's actual site and it said the hotel had been recently remodeled. If that was the case, then why was there holes in the carpet in the hallways. There was only one ice, pop, and vending machines. When we checked in the two women working looked like they had just rolled out of bed after a night of partying. There was nothing around that stayed open past 4 or 5 except the gas stations. After this experience, I'm not sure I'll ever want to go back to that chain again and will definitely not that one. We used all the washcloths the first day and only got two back. Læs mere

Arrived at the two rooms at the far end of the hall from the front desk to find one of the doors open and the room next to ours completely open. Outside door security was not working, so it made you wonder if an employee left them open for someone to use the room without the front desk knowing. Very dirty and really small and old TV's. Went to breakfast […] in the morning and there was not any fruit and about 6 sweet rolls. Some dry cereal and you could make waffles. After waking the sleeping front desk attendant, we asked for bread to make toast and were told that they didn't have any bread, english muffins or bagels. Pretty basic stuff. All alarms in the rooms were left on by the maid staff so that they went off randomly including in rooms where no one was staying so that they were blaring for 30 minutes or more. Although this hotel is a little hard to get to it was away for the roadway noise and well worth the effort for the price. The place could use some up dating. The beds were very comfortable and the free breakfast was very satisfying. The pool and hot tub were very nice and clean.

Needed alittle updating new carpet larger out door space. Service was very nice and people there very hospitable. Thats for a nice weekend.

We were happy with the hotel, it was just fine for what we needed it for. The elevater and stairs could use a good cleaning. The breakfest in the moring was very nice. I would stay again.

Hotel was a little run down. Could stand to be updated, tv was old style, lousy picture, and the remote barely functioned. The bathroom had a mildew smell to it. The breakfast could also stand to be updated as well.

overall the room was satisfactory for the short time we needed it. but i was not happy to hear that at approx. 8:15pm the front desk manager had to actually go to the room to see if it was ready for us. that did seem to be a little late for room attendents to still be working on rooms. i do work at a local resort and that situation did raise a red flag […] in my eyes. I was expecting a three star performance but received better. The breakfast in morning is adequate or for some people more than adequate. The tvs in rooms are all being updated in 2-3 weeks, but at the moment are very small. Towels and bath were clean, fan in bath was very loud. Overall quiet too. Internet on wifi worked great. I was actually happy […] and will return to stay there for a few more times. The people were friendly. I did not try the pool and fitness center but they seemed ok at a glance. My room was nice and clean, had a fridge, iron board and iron, bathroom was clean and had even granite counter top sink. Towels were plenty but a bit scratchy, and the small TV sometimes flickering could use an update to a 26-32" LCD. Service was really good, before I arrived I spoke by phone to Patty, she is very helpful. Forgot my razors and they […] gave me one for free at the desk. I choose smoking rooms because they are usually on the 3rd floor, and we don't like people above us. Knowing it was a smoking floor, I was okay with the smell...However, I think some air freshener should be available. The toilet paper is rough, and the comforters scratchy. Of the 3 pieces of exercise equipment, only one of them worked correctly. I couldn't […] get any help from staff to assist with the others, just be sure I was attempting it correctly. Breakfast was great, most of the staff very friendly! For the price and location it's a great place to stay. There are few places in Toledo I still feel comfortable, and this location is one! This hotel is under major renovation and is a complete mess. I was not going to stay but they upgraded me to a king suite. Overflowing dumpsters sitting outside, trash around the property and the pool being redone, it was an absolute disaster. The breakfast was very basic, nothing to brag about. I would avoid this hotel until the work is done, then […] I may reevaluate. There is not much around this property, you'll have to drive somewhere to get something decent to eat. Læs mere

The hotel was conveniently near the the Amtrak station. The price was reasonable for our brief stay.

First I called for directions from downtown Toledo and they had no idea how to direct me to the hotel. Second they didn’t have the 2 queen w/ smoking room that I reserved. And instead of informing us they gave us a king bed w/ smoking room. I then went to the room and then had to go back downstairs to correct the problem thinking it was an honest mistake. […] The Manager then informed me that they have no more queen bed w/smoking rooms but for an additional charge of 20 dollars he could put me in a queen non-smoking room or for 30 dollars in a king smoking suite. They were rude and had horrible customer service. This hotel also offers breakfast; however they ran out of plates, and silverware and the waffle mix. The manager at the front desk told me that I shouldn't have booked through hotels.com because I would have to wait for the reservation to come through. I was locked out of my room for an hour because batteries were dead in the lock. The manager didn't seem very competent. Another guy staying there said the dryer didn't work and all his clothes were […] wet. Glad I wasn't him. Light bulbs were out in my room so in efforts to find another light switch, I tripped over the coffee table. Maybe they were just having a bad day there. I don't know. But I wouldn't try it again. We chose this hotel because of its reasonable rates,and its close proximity to downtown.(we were in town for a concert at Huntington Center)The evening and night staff at the front desk were very friendly,accommodating and informative. The rooms were kinda small,but clean and comfortable. Overall a good value for your money.
